The food is OK. Not the best, but certainly not the worst. And what do you expect from an all you can eat buffet? The customer service is dreadful though. You are forced to pay in cash on arrival. You don't even get a hello or welcome, the first thing the waitress said was "pay now". We paid and were due change. The waitress said she would give it to us "later". This seemed strange and raised alarm bells. I had to ask for it again and she rudely said later and walked off. Luckily another waiter brought the change over. There was also no itemised receipt. Might the restaurant have some 'questionable' accounting processes? Who knows! I will not be coming here again. Terrible service and terrible atmosphere. There are better places to eat in Chinatown.

I asked a member of staff a number of times about which food had nuts in it. All the staff were extremely disrespectful; I asked a for the chef but they continued to say they were busy and unavailable to speak to me. So if you have any sort of allergy I would avoid this place. In addition, the member of staff decided to shout at me for asking for the chef to explain to me what food contains nuts. I don’t think they realise the seriousness of a nut allergy and what it can do to someone. Every place should accommodate for allergies and this particular place fails to do so. Very poor .

First let me say the food wasn't bad. It was quite tasty, warm. Value for money to say we are in London. But just after I'd had my second plate the young waiter behind the bar went to the toilet with a rubber glove on and returned a few minutes later still with the glove on. Started serving people there drinks. I got straight up and confronted him and he laughed and changed it. Food safety is paramount. Leaving young employees downstairs with no supervision is no good, taking selfies, Poor food safety standards. Not good enough.

Barely any choice of Chinese meals. Sweet sour chicken, satay chicken and beef in black bean. “Prawn” toast has no prawns. Loads of fried stuff like onion rings. Even the jelly was awful and warm. My daughter and I felt sick half way through. And I heard that they charged a mum for a baby!! Yes a baby. They’re also a cash only establishment which smells fishy to me. Avoid. I will never be back. They also started talking amongst themselves when the mum was complaining. Rude.

Guy behind the counter caught making horrible choke sound and spitting in a bin!! Put me off my food!. Walked out!. Food was nice as well !. :(

On souhaitait manger vapeur pour changer. Nous avons pris des bouchées vapeur, avec du riz au œuf d’or. Un régal et très copieux !

Rude miserable woman on the front door would not let us in unless we paid for my son. My son does not like chineese food and had something earlier we did not feel we should pay for him as he was not eating. Reading the reviews had a bit of a result as the it does not seem a particularly good Chinese. Not many people in there says it all really. Plenty of choice in China Town found one across the road who were happy and welcoming and did not charge for my son.

A good selection of food, including a few tofu options which as a vegetarian I was pleased to see. They give you a fork and spoon but no knife. The spoon was dirty so I didn't use it. The plates were also not cleaned properly, you could see the grease on them. The man who did our payment was very curt so I can't say much for the customer service, although the woman at the door was friendly.

Visited in Wednesday and it was delicious There are lots of different dishes to try Hot and refreshed regularly You do have to pay when you first arrive, but no issue

Ho provato tutti i tipi di paste e riso ed erano immangiabili,incollati ed insapore. Ho provato il pollo allo spiedo tagliato a pezzi che era sufficiente(grazie a lui Ho messo due altrimenti non più di una.) Mia moglie che va spesso a mangiare questo tipo di cibo con amiche,è rimasta di stucco di quanto il cibo fosse mediocre. A voi la scelta... Piuttosto, andate a mangiare al Seven Dials.

I am on vacation in London for a week. Last night, on the 18th of January 2024, between 8 pm and 9 pm, I went to Chinatown for dinner, and by chance, I entered your restaurant: Young Cheng Buffet. As a black person, I experienced the humiliation of my life, discrimination. I was alone, very polite, and blending into the surroundings. But to my great surprise, one of the waiters asked me if I had paid or not. I replied yes, even showing him my bank statement that had already been debited. Despite this, he went to call the other waitresses who came to check me as if I were a troublemaker. I showed them all my bank statements, proving that I had paid for my meal even before starting to eat. With all the customers they had, I am the only person they checked. I was also the only black man on the first floor, and I find that to be a great lack of respect. Their behavior really annoyed me, and I was so embarrassed that I left the premises. Your restaurant is very racist, discriminating against people of colour. You have spoiled my vacation. I have talked about it, and throughout France, I have shared the horrible experience I had in your restaurant. Your waiters are not professional; they are very racist and impolite. As Asians, you should know what racism is because you have been discriminated against and still are all over the world because of your dirtiness and your little games. You should change and respect people of all colours. I will not hesitate to file a complaint against your establishment. The discrimination you practice is not normal. I paid for an all-you-can-eat buffet for £15, and in the end, I couldn't eat. That's theft."*

Before choosing Young Cheng open buffet, I searched around other open buffets’ varieties and prices, in China town, and concluded that this restaurant is the best. The restaurant was so crowded but we were seated without waiting time or staying in a queue which was really long when we left the place. The restaurant hasn’t a lovely atmosphere, especially when you have to be seated downstairs because seats upstairs are very few. I didn’t really enjoy going up and down to the main buffet which is upstairs. The buffet is repeated twice with a moderate selection. But you will find all you crave: chicken, shrimps, beef, vegetables, noodles, rice, fried appetizers……..For us, it was quite satisfactory because the food was really delicious, fresh, tasty and well seasoned. As for the dessert buffet, it is disappointing. There were only sliced oranges and jelly. Soups were also unavailable. Concerning the service, it was average. Another important issue to know, is that payment is only by cash and has to be paid in advance. To conclude, I loved the food which was a good value for the money I paid £14.50. And I will definitely come back.

Some friends and I went here on a Monday evening. Service was good, we were quickly seated. Of the Chinese buffets around, this is probably the best. Plentiful choice, very tasty. My only complaint is that there are no soups or desserts. Good value at £15 (cash only).

Nicht zu empfehlen. Ganz schrecklicher Service. Ich war vielleicht insgesamt eine halbe Stunde dort. Als ich aufgegessen hatte, wurde sofort die Rechnung gebracht (ohne zu fragen, ob ich noch ein Dessert oder Ähnliches bestellen möchte) und ein „Reserviert“-Schild wurde aufgestellt. Während ich mein Getränk noch getrunken habe, wurde die Tischdecke vom Tisch abgeräumt und das Schild wieder entfernt. So etwas unhöfliches habe ich noch nie erlebt. Bitte nicht dort essen gehen. Der Schein trügt.

Wow! Just amazing. Delicious food served at the correct temperature. Pleasant, experienced, caring and attentive staff members. Customer service received with smiles and professionalism. Clean and tidy environment. Nice atmosphere. Security measures in place to make you feel more relaxed as restaurant traffic can be much. Very busy. Thank you.

Nourriture sans grand goût, choix limité au niveau du buffet. Cher pour ce qui est servi… au moins un avantage: vite rentré, vite assis, vite sorti pour profiter de Londres !

Enjoyed the buffet. Food was hot and delicious with a good variety. It was good value for money. I would eat here again.

We came in 30 minutes before closing on a Sunday and were welcomed with open arms. Seated right away at a clean table in a clean, well lit restaurant. Every staff person we encountered was friendly. Food came out quick and hot. Beer was cold. Food was delish! And I can’t get over how cheap everything was (at least from a Dallas perspective). We will definitely be back.

I went on a busy Saturday afternoon. I thought the customer service was great. They were about to suggest upstairs but aww my walking stick and arranged ground floor. They have 3 floors. They were very busy. The young man that served us drinks was pleasant and so were all the staff I came across. The food was very tasty. All the meats soft. The prawns were great. They didn’t run out. The chicken wings were crispy and not too salty like some of the other buffet places. The food could have been a bit warmer. But in this weather even good at home quickly cools. So can’t blame them. The buffet was £10.50. Tap water is 50p. Chinese tea £1.50. They do offer alcoholic beverages and soft drinks too. They have a hygiene rating of 4. This is definitely the best food biggest I’ve been to around china town! Especially at this price. I highly recommend it! I’m not sure why they have bad feedback to be quite honest. I will definitely go back.

Absolutely disgusting service from the moment we entered. There were tables available downstairs but the lady shouted "upstairs, upstairs" and pointed to the stairs. I have arthritis and struggle with lots of stairs. I didn't want to spoil the meal for the people we were with, so I braved the stairs. The guy who was upstairs never welcomed us, so we went and sat where we liked. A few minutes later he came over and rudely said "what you want", so we placed our drinks order and went and got food from the buffet. Most of the food was really cold, and all of it was disgusting in taste. We left most of our food. The waiter rudely shoved the bill on the table. He didn't speak another word and was very put out by me wanting the change from my bill. The toilets were disgusting with urine dripping from the seat. When we left, there wasn't a single thank you or goodbye. Since leaving, all of us have been terribly poorly from sickness after eating from here. You'd think Chinatown would want to step up and give great service and do their best to attract visitors and tourists. Every single buffet restaurant we've visited over the years has had rude customer service and terrible food. In future we'll happily steer clear of Chinatown

Dont go. If you have never eaten Chinese before you sould not try there. It would be a traumatic experience. Really bad quallity. The staff behave like cave people. They dont take credit card only cash. And they dont give receipts

El personal era tan antipático como siempre en China Town, pero cuando traté de dar propina, intentaron decirme que era el precio habitual. Mejor cuente sus monedas personas. La próxima vez definitivamente a la carta nuevamente, puede gastar las 10 libras mejor.

Very cheap buffet with exactly what you want from a buffet. Typical dishes, small restaurant but it is very very cheap so I think you get more than what you pay for.

Unfortunately there is no option for zero stars so one it is. We first came and and were made to wait in front of the door for our table for 4. We then got our table which was sticky and dirty as were our chairs. It was overpriced for the food quality, the rice was burned, tasted metallic and the plates were dirty. There was a whole onion skin and shrimp antennae in the sweet and sour chicken. We even had to pay for tap water. One of our friends then came to meet us halfway through the meal and had already eaten so only wanted a chair, which she originally got given, until they realised she wasn’t eating, at which point they took it off of her, demanded she wait outside and immediately brought us our bill. I would definitely not recommend this place to my own worst enemy. STAY CLEAR OF THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS!!!

Paseando por china town nos encontramos con este buffet chino, a rebosar de gente, decidimos entrar, nos son my simpáticos y te advierten que se paga en cash. El sitio es como una casa de comidas española, el buffet está bien, reducido pero suficiente, un poco ajsutado el sitio, merce la pena.

This was really low quality asian food. Lots of fat, sugar and coloring additives. You need to pay in cash to be sure they will not pay taxes. There are much better asian restaurant arround.

We had a good average lunch here. Food was good, not special. But to be very honest the price quality is really good.

The plus point of this restaurant is buffet Chinese food that you can eat as much in £10 as you like. Other than that, it has a below average atmosphere with very cramped sitting places and just an average service. Restaurant restrooms are on first floor and definitely needed a better standard of cleanliness.

We visited this as a family as on walking by saw lots of fresh food being placed in the window.

Really unhappy with today’s visit with friends. On arrival we were instantly told they do not take card - a little inconvenient, but nothing to lose sleep over. Then marched downstairs were we were told there was the same choice - not true. Very limited choice downstairs. Staff rude. Did not ask if everything was okay. Food quality poor and buffet area appeared messy with splattered food everywhere. Suspicious meats - be careful with the fish! No forks which made food awkward to eat. Coke wasn’t chilled.

Rara vez me quejo pero este lugar no vale la pena visitarlo. Aparte del hecho de que los miembros del personal no sonríen y te saludan, el lugar está sucio. Lamento no haber dejado el lugar, pero tuve miedo de hacerlo después de estar sentado. La comida está bien por el precio que pagas.

Después de un ajetreado día de compras, nos dirigíamos a casa y vimos este buffet como una parada de comida rápida antes de ir a casa. Ojalá no nos hubiéramos molestado. Exigieron el pago antes de estar sentados. La comida era insípida, asquerosa y fría. No he estado bien desde entonces. Tienen cámara te está mirando en cada mesa. No hay una clasificación de higiene de los alimentos en la ventana. El niño que estaba con nosotros no estaba comiendo y, aunque les dije que no estaba comiendo, me dijeron tres veces que no podía comer. Casi le grito a él de vuelta, lo sabemos! No sé cómo se puede abrir este restaurante y me quejaré ante la agencia de normas alimentarias sobre este asqueroso restaurante.

Uno de los mejores buffets de la zona. También es bastante único y tiene algo especial que los demás no tienen. 1. Usted paga después de haber comido. . No antes. 2. La comida está caliente. 3. La comida es muy sabrosa. Sin duda volveremos. Perdí 1 punto porque tenía que subir y bajar dos tramos de escaleras para comer.

My wife and I were out shopping and my wife (who is oriental) wanted to eat oriental food in China Town. We chose Young Cheng Buffet in Wardour St because it looked spacious compared with some of the others in the area.

Great value buffet, just £10.50 (cash only!) for as much as you can eat. They also do a 'fill your own dish' take-out for £6.50.

I liked the idea of eat all you want as I was starving. The restaurant was very competitively priced. I was not aware of all the bad reviews of the restaurant. I was served downstairs. Furniture and surroundings are cheap and basic however toilets are immaculate. Service was adequate considering the restaurant was very busy.

They offer all day buffet in a descent price with a variety of meat -chicken,beef,pork Nice springrolls,2-3 rice dishes and noodles.You choose and eat anythig you like.Only 1 dish with schrimps.

I can't believe the amount of people complaining about this place, it's £10.50 for crying out loud, there are at least 20 other Chinese restaurants within 2 minutes walk of this place that charge 2 or 3 times the price, go to these if you want top food for top prices.

We dropped in here for a quick bit of dinner. The service was fast and efficient albeit a bit unfriendly. We had Chinese beer, some duck and pancakes etc. and then several mains, one of which wasn’t on the menu but the chef kindly agreed to cook it for us. Nice touch. All the food was very nicely cooked, not stand out but very edible. Prices very reasonable. All in all not bad at all but obviously surrounded by some really very good restaurants so as they say - you pays your money and takes your choice!

We went here through word of mouth where a year ago the choice and quality was brilliant. We were expecting different meats such as roast duck, char siu and an array of dishes. NOTHING of the sort was present. Instead it was all just rubbish takeaway food made from poor quality ingredients, you can tell nothing was fresh. NOT authentic Chinese, you might as well gone on Just Eat and ate from home. (I have been told that the reason for this drastic change is because of the change of ownership. No excuse really)

My family and I often go to Young Cheng for a quick meal before the theatre. The food is tasty but not the best Chinese food you will ever get, but it is only £10 per person for as much as you can eat. There is a limited choice of alcoholic drinks. There is a buffet service system and sometimes there are short queues. We go here because everyone can choose what they want to eat, even if it's just a plateful of Chinese ribs and prawn toasts and we can be in and out in 30 minutes without appearing rude :-). So, recommended for a quick, cheap, tasty meal in the centre of the West End.

Compared with other meals we had eaten in London ( Viet and French), I would rate the food as good value and tasty ( however I am no chinese food expert). I didn't know what a prawn cracker was, until now. A real prawn encased in crispy filo. Other people were going mad for the whole prawns. Seating is basic and can be social. When we went, buffet was £10.50 pp, and our bill with drinks was about £27 and we were pleasantly full. I would visit again.

For any Chinese this is bad but for China town OMG ..chicken don't look like chicken, food cold or swimming in oil. I can not describe how bad the food Is. My son came home with upset tummy

Non ho mangiato ne bene ne male. L’illusione dello all you can eat fa pensare che 10,50 sterline siano poche ma in realtà sono tantissime. Inoltre anche la semplice piccola bottiglia di acqua la fanno pagare 2,10 sterline. Da non ripetere.

Este restaurante es absolutamente horrible! Sirven pollo crudo y cuando pregunté, el gerente era grosero y poco servicial, dando a entender que era "normal". Ella procedió a gritar y a pie a mediados de conversación. Nunca había visto un servicio tan desagradable o comida. La salsa de cacahuete probado/parecía simplemente bebé enfermo.

Was impressed with the buffet spread selection and definitely value for money. We had a Nice meal and staff were helpful. Great for a budget meal and quick bite with good selection.

No es el mejor chino que he comido,pero era el más barato de la zona, por el precio esta bastante bien, yo quería pato, así que me harte de pato. A mi novio le encanto todo ya que en barcelona los chinos de bufet suelen ser muy malos. El sitio fatal, muy apretados con las otras mesas, pero íbamos a comer y a irnos, y el tema de pagar en cach, me da rabia... pero si volviera por allí volvería por el precio y el pato.

Avoid if you have issues regarding cleanliness and manners! There was mushed food everywhere on the floor, the stairs and especially at the bottom of the stairs which were covered in rubbish. Talking of rubbish the chef walked through the restaurant about 4 times carrying full bin bags, they used dirty water to mop the floor around the food area whilst people were still eating, a rogue cigarette butt managed to work its way in and came to a halt at the bottom of the stairs. As for manners, the waitresses were just rude, brought our bill when we didn’t even ask for it, we still had food on our plates. The serving area itself is dangerous, my partner managed to hit his head on an overhanging metal corner right in the way of the sauces and other condiments, which has now left a lump. Only get sauces if you are under 6ft otherwise you can lose and eye or get concussion, just what you want in a dirty, overpriced, rushed and dangerous ‘all you can eat if you can stomach the environment’ Chinese buffet.

Estuve con dos niños (9 y 11). Yo estaba un poco tener que pagar precios de adultos para ellos a pesar de que no comer mucho. El servicio era bueno con la camarera en todo momento. La comida era buena y había un flujo constante de comida, ya que estaba muy ocupado. Genial para adultos, aunque nos sentimos estafados tiene que pagar el precio completo para niños delicados.

Vasos y platos de plástico y sillas y mesas utilitaristas al máximo, o sea glamour cero, pero si quieres comer razonablemente bien a buen precio (para lo que es Londres) este es un buen sitio. La bebida no es barata pero (para Londres) tampoco cara: agua de 1,5 litros 4,50 £ cerveza 3,60 y lata de refresco 2,10 £. Ojo: NO ADMITEN TARJETAS.

El personal nos dio un trato muy desagradable, el sitio es pequeño y estás muy apretujado. La comida es malísima, muy poca variedad y con exceso de grasa, nada sabe bien ni a lo que tiene que saber. La bebida te la cobran a parte y es carísima. El local está muy descuidado. No volvería nunca.

We were looking forward to eat some good asian food and the concept of a buffet sound a great ideia to try different foods, without having to much.

( REVIEWING ,the buffet place) Went here with my daughter,got a tiny 2 seater table cramped under the stairs,next to 2 other people,the waiters where hovering for their bill,kept trying to take the guys dessert away,..I understand quick turn over but this was unreal,on top on that asking for tap water ,was told no only bottle,this would is 100%illegal if they sold alcohol,but as they had there licence taken away,in that case they should not have them on the menus,there was dirty plates just shoved near the dumb waiters (no being offensive lol google dumb waiter) ,not even stacked,food all over the floor,and the worst was when I caught the lady change the food over,nice fresh one in then scape the old stuff on top,twice she did that....I saw that when i went up for a second time only having had some prawn toast and ribs,I didnt touch the food again after that,we just gave our water to some girls where also told no tap water ,and got out of there,what a waste of money,lucky I was not sick!

Delicious affordable Chinese cuisine. Located in the heart of Chinatown and the buzz of the West End. Dropped in before theatre for a quick bite and was not disappointed.

La calle Wardour, joven Cheng (que no debe confundirse con otros establecimientos con nombres similares) es un Chino de todo lo que pueda comer en un restaurante tipo buffet. El interior ha mejorado después de la reforma de 2017. Arriba y abajo las secciones de él restaurante ahora tienen su propio buffet. Tienen una buena selección comparado con algunos de los restaurantes de la competencia. El precio ha subido a 10 libras. 50 por persona. Calidad de la comida es buena y muy sabroso. Los inodoros han mejorado mucho. Simplemente ignorar el comer - ir actitud y este es un gran lugar para comer si tienes un presupuesto limitado.

Entré en el restaurante con mi hermana y nuestros cuatro hijos. Tuvimos que pagar antes de que comimos. Pensando que esta era la política, cumplido. Mientras, todos los demás que venía de no tener que pagar. Desafié al camarero y dijo que depende. Le pregunté sobre qué y él simplemente caminamos. La única característica distintiva es que somos dos mujeres negras.

We went in, and were shown to a seat in the basement. We ordered a beer (as listed on the menu on the table) and were told they couldn’t serve beer. I asked for a lemonade- they didn’t have any. So I got a bottle of water. I was charged £4.50 for a bottle of Evian.

Well what can i say, this is the worst review I have written on Tripadvisor, we were very hungry from attending the Xmas Market in Hyde Park and came across this restaurant, price was at the time we thought a decent £10.50 per head for a buffet. Once entering the restaurant it was quite busy with lots of empty serving plates where food as supposed to be, I thought thats Ok its obviously good and they would be filling these up shortly, how wrong i was!!. We were sat downstairs in the basement and offered the drinks menu, there was wine, beer on there but when we asked for 2 beers and 2 wines, we were informed that they no longer had a license, I said why is it on these menu, they rudely replied. We were sat close to the serving hatch and they just let the dirty plates stack up, the food was very ropey, stringy, had no taste, very very bland and the staff were not friendly at all. In fact they didn't seem to have a clue how to run the downstairs, lots of people were complaining and the gent net to us found hairs in his rice, they brushed it off with just get another plate of rice, he got up and left. Even when our bill arrived they could not add up the exact money we had put in front and they challenged me that I needed to put ore money in, we argued for a bit and I said if I prove the exact money is there can we eat for nothing as its been awful. They quickly agreed that the exact money was there but they had no tip, i mean the cheek of it, we had to put our own dirty plates in a bowl by the hatch, we served ourselves, the food was terrible, service disgusting and they were not arguing over not being give a tip, i did ask them to tell me what they had done to deserve a tip,they replied we let you eat here!! That said it all for me, we will not be returning here again, they may have been having a bad day, I get it as we all have them but to be extremely rude is not on to paying customers.

Hi, I can say that the food was good, honestly. But i think is unprofessional amd an abuse to charge for the ice while is serves Worm water. As a hospitality worker for you guys to improve this business is not to charge the ice and serve the water cold. You guys will get better reviews.Also take away boxes must be free if costumers are eating in the place.I will not recomend this places for the employee service.

This applies to the seafood restaurant at Lisle St.( Wardour branch now closed) . The soft noodle crab or lobster choice is commendable but the portion size has shrunk. You will have to order extra noodles or dishes to complete your meal. The roast duck and meat platters aren't wonderful ...little lean ..all bone and gristle or fat. There are better restaurants round the corner for good mixed meat platters. Service was good ....the place is always busy ..because of its seafood noodles.

Dim Sum and Chinese restaurant. Always busy and full of local Chinese. Good set lunch menu and large selection of Dim Sum that you order on a check box system. Service isn't the best or friendlist. Not the best for a romantic meal either but food and value the best

This place is a staple for late night eats. Trendy, tasty and price worthy. Always happy to eat here. Especially after a long night of pubbing.

Ich habe mir vom Buffet eine große Box zum mitnehmen mit allem möglichen wie Nudeln, Huhn, Ente, Frühlingsrollen usw. gerichtet. Ein paar Sachen waren nicht beschriftet, da hab ich nachgefragt was es ist und der Mitarbeiter war sehr freundlich und hat es mir erklärt. Danach hat der Kärtchen geholt, diese beschriftet und aufgstellt. Geschmacklich war es sehr gut, allerdings waren einige Sachen ziemlich fettig. Es waren sehr viele Leute dort um die Mittagszeit und man wollte relativ schnell wieder raus aus dem kleinen Lokal.

They used to have a Young Cheng on Shaftesbury Avenue. It was a thriving restaurant with fun & friendly & efficient staff & quite good standard of food. Now this one is a little unorganised & doesn't have any identity. Food is average & the service needs to be improved. The staff are helpful & friendly.

Been there on & off for 15 years. It's always busy so the buffet never sits around for long & is well replenished with 20 or so dishes. Great value for £8.50.

What can you say for all you can eat buffet for 8.9 Pounds. The food is delicious and unlimited servings. Good variety.

Buffet à 8£90, présentation correcte. Nourriture mangeable à bonne, mais c'est un peu l'usine. Rien à voir avec un restaurant, ici c'est vous le serveur. A éviter quand on est trop nombreux. Prix des boissons correctes, servies en canettes. Bonne adresse pour manger en vitesse de la nourriture asiatique sans trop être pénible.

Great value all you can eat buffet at £8.95 what more could you ask for?A good selection, all very tasty, place very busy and it's not surprising!!Worth a visit for a cheap Chinese feast and a place I will visit again when in the area.

Grab the 6£ takeaway box from the buffet. With some creative stacking, ya may not have to eat for the rest of the day. The food is great for the price and a buffet. I grabbed a stoop nearby and listened to the local street musicians woe enjoying the meal.

After sight seeing around London we stopped here for a bite to eat. As others have said we were informed on entering that it was cash only. The buffet doesn't have a huge selection but it was warm and tasted ok, I wouldn't expect significantly more for the money. When we were there the place was packed, with tables turning over very quickly because people appered to be happy popping in for a quick bite to eat. We found the staff welcoming, helpful and pleasant although english was limited, that wasn't a problem for us.

Firstly, its only £8 to eat as much as you like. When the price is as cheap as that, you shouldn't expect too much. Within a few hundred yards, we saw 3-4 buffet chinese restaurants and this one had the best review so we went for it.We were ushered in to the busy restaurant and told that they only take cash which was fine. I'm sure its fine for both us and the taxman. We were seated downstairs in a cramped dining room with a small bar and a bathroom in the rear. To get our food we had to go back up some narrow stairs and queue along a small corridor in order to grab a plastic plate and get to the buffet by the front window.The warm cans of coke are charged at £2.10 per can but I guess thats where they can make a decent profit. The food on offer was varied with around 20 dishes including the ubiquitous onion rings and chips and could probably be described as average at best but it was warm and nobody died.At the end of the meal we went to the bathroom before asking for the bill and the staff came in to check in both the ladies and gents (I can only assume they thought we were shape-shifters and were going to transform into rats and climb into the sewers). Im not sure that I would venture into the same restaurant again. This time it was convenient for price, location and timing.
