Made in China Restaurant in City of London, Westminster

The quality of the food was average at best and the wine was overpriced. The service was also overbearing.

El chef arruinó mi teriyaki de salmón por cocinar toda la humedad y dejar un vestigio seco de lo que debería haber sido. Su verduras acompañante era lamentablemente escasas - unos más brócoli rebozado marinados apenas cuesta a la tierra. Como para el pollo de mi amigo, hacía frío y poco atractiva. Recomiendo que conseguir un nuevo chef y volveré con mucho gusto ya que está en una ubicación muy conveniente.

Ubicado en una de las calles más tranquilas de Westminster, Kaku es un paraíso de buena cocina oriental. Fuimos principalmente para opciones chinas con Dim Sum, pato crujientes tradicional y una mezcla de platos favoritos y eran todos muy bien cocinados, deliciosa y bien presentada.

renombrado y bajo nueva gerencia, hay un buen restaurante en el sur pasado Westminster, especializado en cocina Lejano Oriente: china, tailandesa, vietnamita, japonesa. Todo ha sido renovado y el ambiente es agradable y profesional.

Ok but expensive. Nice surroundings and good service. I have eaten in much better for a lot less money but I guess you are in Westminster!

Mi marido y yo vinimos para una cena recientemente. No estoy seguro de lo que otras personas están hablando pero tuvimos una agradable velada, la camarera era muy atento pero no agobiante, la comida era deliciosa y recibimos una tarjeta VIP para la próxima vez que te da hasta 30% de descuento para comer o para llevar, bien merece la pena! La única pena fue que no era más concurrido, pero entonces había gente chinos comiendo allí demasiado, que es siempre una buena señal. Sin duda volveremos. es complicado que se llama la cosa equivocada en TripAdvisor, debería llamarse bambú cesta.

There was a recent name change from Made in China to Bamboo Basket, and maybe this signifed a change of management for the worse, because it was alright the first time I went some months ago. This time a disaster, very embarrassing as I had brought with me colleagues from all over England and abroad. I had booked two tables for a large party weeks in advance and confirmed the numbers with them 3 times. It took 1 hour and 35 minutes before we got any food at all; then the starters arrived at the same time as the main meals, all lukewarm. Two lucky diners at the end of the table got four courses served before the rest of the table got anything. The waitresses brought dishes that noone had ordered and left them there; dishes that had been ordered did not arrive, and they did not know who had ordered what. And no rice ever arrived at all, although extensively ordered. Imagine a Chinese meal with no rice! All quite expensive. I complained throughout, they repeatedly promised food "in 10 mimnutes" but it did not appear. We were not offered coffee or tea or dessert. The place was full, but they clearly could not cope. There seemed to be 2 or 3 waitresses and one visible chef for over 60 guests, approx. A total disaster except for the wine, which was good but expensive. I won't be back.

Made in China seems to have changed it's name to Bamboo Basket. I went there with colleagues and the experience was overall abysmal. The service was appalling. We ordered bbq pork buns for entree and chicken ones came out. I queried them and there was no apology and no offer for the correct dish to be brought out. The mains then came out, the waitress promptly spilled a quarter of the chicken dish all over the table. She apologised but left the dish there, scooped up the remains in a napkin and walked off. No offer of a replacement meal. The beef dish was awful. The bill came out and there was no offer of a discount or free drink for the poor service. Word of advice - don't dine here. The staff are rude, the service was terrible and the meal was completely over-priced for what it was.

not your normal down at heel chinese but good quality and not cheap restaurant

The meal took two hours to arrive, no appology and it wasn't as described. Altogether over priced and terrible service.

I used this restaurant for lunch recently and found it to be very well run with discreet but attentive service.

Not necessarily one I would travel miles for, but nice surroundings good staff and decent food, make this worth a visit if you are in the area and like Chinese food.
