YouMi Japanese & Korean Restaurant in Stratford-on-Avon

The food was great but the service not so. We ordered our food and as per normal the mains came out before the starters were finished, this has happened previously but the difference this time is that my wife received her food (sushi roll) after we had finished our food, even though we had asked three or four times where her food was. Totally spoilt the meal.

I would like to echo all the positive reviews. The restaurant was well designed and felt peaceful. The food excellent. The waitress was welcoming and very attentive. It is a shame we don’t live locally as this would be our number one go to place. Thank you YouMi for a great lunch time treat.

The food was freshly prepared, and cooked to perfection. The quality of the ingredients are unrivalled. We had Octopus balls, and Squid. Noodle soup had stock to die for. We also ordered Rice and eels, and the meat was tender and very very fresh. Bit salty but cooked to perfection.

I cannot believe I have this perfect Japanese restaurant, in my own town!! It is superb!! The quality of the food, is amazing, the staff are delightful and friendly. We have been to the restaurant and we have order it to be delivered at home… It is fantastic either way! The restaurant can get busy and because they have such detailed attention to each dish served, it can take a little longer to get food… but I promise it’s worth the wait! I’m very picky… and this food is fantastic. Great job YouMi 🫶

Popped in by chance on the 6th may, we weren’t sure if we wanted to eat here at first but after having a look at the menu the very friendly waitress told us it’s definitely a place to try we thought we’d give it a shot and she wasn’t wrong at all, the chef did an amazing with the food and the waitress gave amazing service, I would 100% recommend, I even wanted to buy them a drink after to show how grateful and impressed I was but they politely declined. This is a an absolute gem of a place. Went here with my husband and his younger son for dinner one evening and really wasn't expecting the quality of food this place has to offer and great value too. Have been back a number of time of since. If you are after some Japanese while visiting Stratford Upon Avon highly recommend YouMi for quality food and service.

Thought we would drop back in, busier than last time which is great as word is getting out about this place. Again the food and the service were excellent, can't recommend this place highly enough, this is going to be our new go to place in Stratford.

There is a nice selection of Japanese and Korean dishes. Tasty and freshly prepared food with good service. Really pleasant and relaxed atmosphere.

Excellent restaurant. Can’t wait to return. We popped in here for a quick lunch before the matinee at Everyman cinema around the corner, and were very glad we did. Although the restaurant was quiet we enjoyed it very much. The food was excellent, service quick and with a smile. Try the salmon salad, eel roll, vegetable tempura and spider roll with soft shell crab. Absolutely superb. We saw someone recommended the chicken wings, so we will definitely give them a try. Prices are good for Japanese food and offer excellent value.

Amazing food, fast efficient friendly service. Especially good find on a quiet rainy Tuesday evening. The sushi was fresh and delicious, tempura too, and we are very much looking forward to returning soon!

We happened upon this place at lunchtime on Valentine’s Day and the very friendly waitress wished us Happy Valentine’s Day and brought us complimentary miso soup. I had a delicious aubergine and miso dish followed by excellent sushi and sake. We don’t live in SuA so I don’t know, but I got the feeling Youmi is a new addition to the town. It deserves to be supported and I hope it’s here next time we come back!

We found this little gem as we walked by. Offering Japanese and Korean fare the standard of food is good. We had a ramen and a rice dish and enjoyed them both. We have missing East Asian fare in Stratford-upon-Avon, and glad to know this restaurant is helping to change this.

Wow! A glorious meal. Everything was perfect - with a special mention to the sashimi and tempura. And a double mention to the mango and choc Mochi (do NOT try and persuade yourself to avoid this pudding……however full you are!). The team were charming - we will return very soon. An important addition to Stratford culinary scene!

Visited early Friday, interior plain but comfortable, meet and greet v friendly and efficient, menu extensive and many items photographed to help identify dishes. The food was excellent, very tasty, well presented and good sized portions. We had a super evening, many thanks, we will return.

This is a great little restaurant in Bell Court, not right in the centre but one of the side entrances. Very clean, the people there were really friendly. Now for the food, it is a mix of Japanese and Korean, we didn’t have the sushi but it looked stunning. We had a starter of crispy chicken, one of our friends had aubergine whilst my partner had crispy chicken wings. For the main event my wife had a bento box with salmon, chicken, rice and salad. Myself and our friend went for the katsu chicken curry, the flavours were awesome, the chicken crispy. Can’t wait to go back and try the sushi as it looked stunning.

Our experience was great. The staff were kind and funny. The food was absolutely delicious. My daughter had a nosebleed through our meal and the staff were so kind about it and kept giving us napkins. When we finished our meal my daughters were given a free bottle of lemonade for the journey home. I would definitely come here again.

The food was very good and definitely great value for money! Sushi is often on the pricier side but we found it to be very reasonable and of high quality. The service was exceptional with the staff being very welcoming and extremely attentive.
