Beautiful well cooked food in a relaxed atmosphere. Lots of choice and reasonably priced . Visited during the day but feel at nice it would be better

Lovely food and service. We’ve been here a few times now and like the food and friendliness of the team. However this evening I was really disappointed to discover that the 10% service charge (auto added to your bill) is not passed to their lovely serving staff. It appears that the servers are afraid to raise this with the manager and I was told he will ‘shout at me’ if you don’t pay it. Regardless of the quality of the food, discretionary service charge is exactly that, and as such a customer should be able to tip members of staff for their service. It has made me think twice about returning to a restaurant that doesn’t appear to value the contribution of their staff

We saw Hamas while driving past and decided to take a chance and go in for lunch. We were pleasantly impressed at the great service, reasonable prices and delicious food! The kimchi pancake was very nice especially. We recommend it and the outside area is lovely on a sunny day.

I had a dreadful experience at this restaurant. I paid £10 for what was advertised as ramen, but it turned out to be instant noodles. The beef rice meal didn't contain any beef or meat. Additionally, they advertised items that were no longer on the menu, such as the beef steak and pork belly, without informing us. As a result, my friend couldn't order anything and was left without a meal. The staff were unhelpful and did nothing to rectify the situation. Despite the poor service and missing items, they still brought us the full bill and even added a service charge, which we refused to pay. I'm attaching a picture of my meal, which speaks for itself. This restaurant should be shut down. Avoid this place at all costs.

Absolutely delicious meal, top notch, friendly service and gorgeous restaurant space. I wasn’t sure if the food was going to be my bag but it was really tasty and fresh. We enjoyed a bottle of Soju too. We’ll definitely return.

I ate here for the first time tonight with my sons shortly after our return from a holiday in Japan. An extremely warm welcome from the host who gave helpful advice about the menu and suggested options. We were not disappointed. The food was first class. Full of flavour and well presented. Great service and a good atmosphere. We will definitely be back.

We went here for our son's birthday and three of our group had lived in South Korea for a few months so they were really looking forward to this meal. Our whole evening was an incredible experience with absolutely delicious food, great Korean Cass beer and the best service! The new venue near Roundhay Park makes you feel like you are sitting in a relaxed woodland venue rather than near the city centre. The staff members were so attentive and made us feel really welcome. The food really made our evening since the choice and quality were excellent. I had the beef bulgogi, which I loved but everything was really well received. They also did a lovely little dessert for our son's birthday. We would all thoroughly recommend this restaurant - the relaxed atmosphere meant that we didn't feel rushed yet the speed of delivery of each freshly made dish was fantastic.

I’ve been wanting to visit this restaurant since it was further down Roundhay Road but never quite managed it. Anyway, we rectified the omission tonight and I’m glad we did so. The building is oddly reminiscent of a hobbit house but is surprisingly big inside. It was also pretty busy for a Thursday night but I can see why that was. Friendly efficient staff provided a warmth that made up for the cold February evening outside. As none of us was familiar with Korean food we were fairly conservative in what we chose to eat. But it was all quite delicious. My only regret was having to leave some of the noodles in my prawn udon but I was just too full to finish them. I assume it was the owner who was doing the rounds of the tables to see that everyone was happy with their food. Next time we come, I might ask him to advise us on what to order just to steer us into more unfamiliar territory - I definitely want to try kimchi. It was a lovely dinner and I’m looking forward to eating here again when the trees are in full leaf. It’ll be a magical experience.

The restaurant is tastefully decorated and we received a very friendly welcome from all the staff. A really interesting menu but I did need help from my son who had eaten Korean food. We started with the assorted kimchi which was a really interesting balance. We also had the Tteokbokki which was very unusual in texture but again excellent. For mains we had the Kimchi Bibimbap which is vegetarian with an egg on top. Extremely tasty and the waiter did warn me it was hot and it really was very hot. There also was a Korean sauce to add which made it hotter !! The other main was Osam Bulgogi which was a great mixture of pork and squid with vegetables and the tasty restaurant special sauce. Superb !! An excellent meal and a special occasion for me. The owner was very involved to ensure everyone had a great evening.

Everything super fresh and tasty, lovely staff and fast service - one of the nicest meals we've had for quite some time, for a very good price.

Loved Yokohama when it was on Roundhay Road so was excited when it moved to the former Chophaus venue at the bottom of our street. Sadly our visit was a disappointment. Front of house is a bit of a shambles. Getting a drink while waiting for our table to be prepared was more trouble than it should have been. They seem to be suffering from chronic understaffing. The atmosphere upstairs is nice, but we were left to ask a staff member where our table was rather than being escorted there. Service once seated at the table was excruciatingly slow. Menu seems a little less extensive than the previous incarnation although the usual Korean favourites are there. However, it's expensive with many starters coming in around a tenner and main course up to twenty quid. Drinks are particularly expensive and can push your bill sky high so go easy. The food, however, is as good as it ever was, although we were not invited to see a dessert menu, so we can't comment on those. Toilets were filthy, which is unforgivable. Hama needs to get its act together if it's going to survive in this competitive restaurant focused suburb, I won't be going back, which is a shame because I was a regular at Roundhay Road.

The staff were friendly and the food was great. I particularly enjoyed the Kanpung Gi chicken and the prawn tempura rolls.

Just on the outskirts of the city centre, yokohama offers great Korean food…. They have the traditional Korean BBQ, which you cook at the table,, as well as an a la carte menu for individual dishes…. Few starter options which includes the Korean fried chicken bites… One of my favourite options is the budaejiggae (army stew) it’s a big pan of simmering spicy soup, contains sausage, ham, fish balls, vegetables to name a few ingredients, the broth is a good authentic flavour and can be enjoyed with the side of rice….. alternatively just took in a eat straight from the heating pot…. The ramen is what makes this dish, takes little time to cook and when it’s done, grab some with your chopsticks and slurp them down…. Wash it down with soju, they have a good variety of flavours… the restaurant is a decent size and very clean…. Great atmosphere when busy…. Limited on street parking but definitely worth the visit…. Fantastic food. The lovely deep savoury flavours, textures and heat. The kimchi is great, really superb. You can really tell the owners care and I urge you to go. Harehills has its ups and downs but places like this makes its ups even greater and I hope add to it becoming the food centre of Leeds. The fact so many young Korean and Japanese people eat there tells you what you need to know. I’ve never been to Korea but if the foods half as good as this and the people as lovely I’m off there! My first Korean BBQ and it did not fail. Halal meats supplied from the butchers next door for my pal. A fun experience and great food. Teokbokki was my favourite.

It was date night and my girl loves Korean food. We came here at busy times but we were seated quite quickly. The starters were amazing! And the rest of the course were delicious. Definitely made her happy! Will be sure to come back here again some time!

Went there today with my friend and the food was good as always. Really turned us off when we asked to remove the service charge and the server said that “unfortunately we don’t remove because it says on the front page on the menu that it will be added to the bill” then we had to educate her that it is a “discretionary service charge” meaning that it is customers choice to pay it or not. I personally dislike the service charge being added to my bill, if I want to tip the server, I will tip the server. No one should be obligated to pay extra for it. They don’t share their wife with the customers.

We dined as a family here but there is something lacking with the quality of some of the things. Management and staff is generally polite. We found an issue with the rice being slightly undercooked. When told we would like a change as it was still raw, we were told that’s how it’s supposed to be. Being from an Asian family, we eat rice everyday and it was clearly still raw. They changed it when we insisted further. We were charged £2.50 for a plastic bottle of water from Costco which probably costs £0.18 a bottle. I can understand if it was a glass bottle but it was placed on my table with a cup of ice. I was too embarrassed to ask them to take it away. The food was good enough and if you enjoy Korean food it’s okay and you should try it. The family that owns the place are very nice but I think they are letting little things slip and should try and focus on bringing the standards back.

Being a fan of k-dramas visited Yokohama for an authentic Korean experience and was very impressed. Ordered a variety of dishes from assorted kimchi, yakotori, teogbokki, bulgogi kimbab, fried chicken and the mix grill (basically everything shown on the k-dramas!). Everything was so delicious and came very fast. Cooking on the grill was also a fun experience and the staff were very friendly and conscientious when it came to replacing the grill/oil a few times. Definitely visiting again with friends. Superb job keep it up Yokohama!

I love going out for dinner and don't mind spending money but couldn't help leaving here feeling I didn't get good value for the money I spent. Firstly we ordered the BBQ set which only came with lettuce and sauce. It had no other sides with it which I have always received in other Korean restaurants. We ordered those sides and paid for then, that's OK. We also ordered sparkling water which was in a glass bottle which has been poured into either from a soda stream or a larger bottle. I can get onboard with this, especially from a stream as it is less plastic but being charged nearly £4 for the bottle was very steep. We also got a service charge on there and there were only two of us which I didn't agree with. Food was nice but it ruined the experience totally. To entice return custom then I think the above really needs working on. I brought a friend with me as as recommendation and we both agreed.

Yokohama serves THE best korean food in Leeds. The food is always amazing- I love their kanpung gi and bimimbap. I've vistited many times and have never had a bad meal. The staff are always very friendly and efficient.
