i came here to buy lunch for a friend and was waiting for over 10 minutes just for somebody to take my order. there was one woman making the food and one person taking orders then going to help her. it’s not their fault, they’re just understaffed but waiting 25 minutes for 8 sushi rolls (that were already made, they just needed to be cut up) is ridiculous. i tried one and it was absolutely delicious so i will be coming back, the only issue was the lack of staff during peak lunchtime.

Very tasty tofu Katsu curry and a decent size portion for the price. Their sushi rolls are very nice and plentiful as well. Staff are friendly and when we had a problem with our order they rectified it straight away and threw in a free dish.

I love Yo for their really really tasty vegan options. I would recommend the tofu katsu curry and the beet sushi rolls. But honestly every vegan option I have tried here has been really nice and this is my favourite place to eat at Boxpark. I highly recommend it! (the staff are very laid back tbh but its worth the wait honestly)

Slow service though it wasn't busy at all, food was so-so, portion was small. For Ponzu salmon, there wasn't much salmon, overall, size was okay, comparatively more vegetables. Tonkotsu ramen was quite small, quite greasy.

No conveyor to graze your sushi off which was disappointing. It's a completely different place to other Yo restaurants but it OK if you fancy "take away" sushi or another dish. Good only OK and as it's more of a food court not fair to judge the service

Tuna poke bowl was large because it came with lots of rice and veggie. Not much tuna and it was seared instead of raw. Totally different from what we had in Honolulu but my son said it taste good. Tonkusu ramen was small and the egg was super salty, lucky only 1/2 egg, otherwise, had to struggle to garbage it or finish it. The soup base was super oily in this weather, covered with 3mm layer of oil, lucky it wasn't salty. The staff were super slow, no matter making ramen or poke bowl while we were the only customers. Wonder how they can handle rush hours, or local people try to avoid this one???

i had to do a second take before realizing this was the latest branch of the chain which first introduced rapid conveyor belt eating to the British High Street, but without the conveyor belt. As it occupies one of the smaller units in Croydon's Boxpark there is hardly room inside to swing a cat, let alone install a conveyor belt. So instead the interior is 60% kitchen and 40% serving hatch for collecting food ordered from a short, but rather keenly priced menu. It is possible to eat in the adjoining Yo Sushi hatch but I elected instead to eat outside on a bench in the a large communal area. I chose a chicken katsu which comprised a substantial number of fried chicken strips in a curry sauce on a large bed of freshly cooked rice and peas. For a mere £6 this represented excellent value and was only £1 less than my large 500ml can of Sapporo. I could easily have chosen any number of other dishes from the menu, even an ice cream. This is one of the better concessions within Boxpark. Who needs conveyor belts?
