Wagamama - Croydon in Croydon

Im starting to wonder if the chicken in the katsu curry could get any thinner, i think they should rename it "panko katsu curry with a hint of chicken" because at this point there is more breadcrumbs than there is chicken. I suppose the upside is there is so little chicken in it that its probably now suitable for vegetarians!

It was my first time to visit Wagamama Croydon,I like their food it really delicious .

Lovely food and great service... slightly on the expensive side

I got chicken ramen and liked it. The portion was big and it was tasty. We also tried pad thai and liked that too

Decent flavour. Price is fair £14.50 chilli chicken ramen. Decent. The dessert was £7. Was OK. Expensive for what it was. Basic dessert. Not anything special.

Out of all the all Wagamamas I've been to the food was the best but the service was the worst. Didn't wait long to sit or order our food but when our food came we asked for cutlery as none on the table in the container,lady serving us said she would get some and completely forget and continued other tasks so had to take some from another table when we pointed this out explaining how can we eat our food she was apologetical but then tried to make up for it by keep coming to our table and asking us for things. Bit of a shame to ruin the experience as such when everything else has been the best

Beautiful food. But the service was a bit....odd. The staff didn't seem to be paying attention to who served which table. We were asked 3 times in 15mins if we wanted to order a dessert and that was whilst we were still eating our mains!! Staff seemed a bit vacant of personality but we got their in the end. Food was decent but it felt very fast food chain than nice restaurant.

The food is delicious. Very nice service. We were served by Mrs. Patrycja, a very nice person, she helped us and advised us in everything. Thank you very much! We will definitely come back!

Very nice Thai and Japanese food

To folks with allergies: be warned your experience might not be great. I go to this Wagamama every couple of months, and while they do take allergies seriously by having a manager come over to take your order, the way they handle it has been pretty upsetting every time. Every manager I've dealt with has made it very clear how annoyed they are with me. They roll their eyes and loudly groan at me, sound sarcastic and obviously frustrated when asking about my allergies, and loudly complain about me to other staff where I can hear them. I get that allergies might make things more complicated, but they don’t need to be so obviously frustrated right to my face. Honestly, it makes me worry if they’re even taking the time to properly note my allergies. It feels like they’re more focused on being annoyed than on making sure my food is safe. I get people have off days, but this has been my experience every single time I've eaten here. At other Wagamamas they've always been superb; super nice, super informative and always made me feel confident I'm being taken care of. This location unfortunately doesn't.

I love Wagamama💝 I visited the restaurant in Croydon with my family. I have to admit that the food was great, Marta served us the food, she was very nice, very helpful. She asked me about my allergies, which unfortunately I have. She advised great drinks. I will definitely come back to this restaurant. I highly recommend it 🥰🥰🥰

Had a meet up for work and the service was amazing! Marta, our server, was attentive and personable but still so professional. I was nervous for my meeting but she really helped calm me.l, without even knowing. Fantastic meal.

The worst wagamama branch food I ever had

Me and my bestie were there for a quick catch up, loved the food and the drinks. The staff was sooo helpful, welcoming and friendly. They were quick and Martha was fantastic, she was super lovely too! 🥰

I brought home a takeaway from my girlfriend, she’s was coming home later. I went to bed she got home later and ate it. I asked if it was nice and she said it was just someone’s leftover with things not in a Chicken Phad Thai. They gave us someone else half eaten food, not even Phad Thai, to take home. Disgusting, absolutely disgusting!

Very good food, everything we ordered was very tasty but there was a waitress who was dark teas with braids that the truth very impatient made us grimaces and the sincerely treatment from her was terrible, the only one because the other two waiters were really very kind

Excellent food, considering at peak time, came within 10-15 mins. Great service and not overpriced considering its made with all fresh ingredients. Will definitely return with friends.

I am very disappointed with the service I received from a staff member at Wagamama. I called to make an inquiry, and the person who answered the phone was extremely rude. She did not provide her name, which made it difficult to address my concerns properly. Her tone was abrupt and dismissive, and she seemed completely uninterested in helping me. This experience has significantly tarnished my view of Wagamama, and I hope that management will address the issue and ensure better customer service in the future.

I have eaten here a few times with my wife and preschooler son. Also took my Mum here to eat when she was visiting us early this year. My son loves eating here. Their healthy juice drinks, beef brisket and pulled pork gyoza are his favourite. Definitely recommended.

I'm not sure what it is, but the food wasn't quite as good as last time a year ago. Ordered the same thing (chicken katsucurry) and it just look or taste as sumptuous. With Bao duck starter and tap water it came to over £23, for which I'd expect better.

I ordered from Deliveroo. I ordered a chicken raisukaree which is naturally gluten free as I’m gluten intolerant. They sent me a chicken firecracker instead which is a completely different dish that I cannot eat. I called them offered to send photographic proof and asked for a redelivery and they refused. They instead said I shouldn’t have ordered as I have an allergy! I explained it’s an intolerance not an allegedly but the staff member was dismissive and told me there was nothing they could do. Deliveroo also said they wouldn’t organise another redelivery which was all shocking. Sad because it was the first time I’d ordered from them online but never again and I hope others stay far awayyyy stick to other branches!

I ordered some food via deliveroo for my mum, brother and myself. Between us we ordered some duck gyoka, kokopanko chicken, ebu katsu prawns, chicken katsu curry and a vegetable ramen. I would say some dishes were tastier than others, as I thought my ramen was very bland but everyone else enjoyed their food. I think if one knows what to order in this place, then a meal can be quite good. I would also add that eating in is probably better for the planet - not only in pricing but also in the packaging. This definitely needs to be looked at by head office, as its just plastic upon plastic.

The food in terms of flavour has gone downhill and prices have shot up. Bland food having to add soy sauce & chilli oil to tickle my taste buds. Portion sizes are hit and miss

On a main road of Croydon, there is a wagamama that has very friendly and very understanding personnel. I enjoyed everything I ate and drunk . Minutes from metro station and tram 🚊. One.of my favourite places in Croydon ! I think it should be bigger though and mich more nicely decorated.

Food Terrible! The state of it!!! Food was warm, not even hot. Tiny box if dired up lettuce leaves. Absolutely no flavor to this food and NO cutlery or chopsticks inuded with delivery. FIRST experience and first ever order with wagamama and did this through deliveroo. Received the chicken katsou, the restaurant is legit a few minss walk away and got this delivered to the hotel I'm in. Tasteless and very poor effort.... Ordering again, nah! Not a chance.

The have a huge range of vegan meals. And if you want spicy they have it as well. Customer service is right. They are very thorough with people who have food allergies. Not packed. My new place

I love wagamama restaurants regardless of whether some of them are not well managed. This one serves good quality food so I can recommend it.

New menu is great, we tried 3 different things and all ticked the box. Shout out to Marta for helping us make up our minds. Her service is always excellent

Great food and got the chef to customise my dish to my preference. The freshly squeezed juice was a treat. Too noisy though, should invest in noise absorber decor.

We had a great experience. Our server Em, was polite, quick and efficient. We enjoyed all dishes we got and everything was out super quick and hot!

Fantastic food, bit of a wait but worth it

I ordered the Pad Thai which is delicious but having ordered it with just chicken (no prawns), the portion size was just appalling compared to what they are now charging for the dish (close to £15). I used to be a regular customer but not only have the prices consistently increased, but the portions for this exact same dish which I regularly order have also been equally and consistently reduced. Totally not worth it and you’ve lost a loyal customer. Do better.

Please ensure chefs are wearing hats and hair nets when preparing and cooking food, as I was eating my chicken rasiukaree and came across a dark strand of hair in my food. Highly disappointed as regularly order from here and food is always great, but today I couldn’t finish my meal and I’m not compensated for it. Strand of hair is beside the lemon on the lid. (May need to zoom in) hopefully can identify the person from the hair??!!

The atmosphere is lovely, the staff were as attentive as you would want and the food was tasty, couldn't fault it!

Great place to go for a family meal & relax. Great food & friendly staff. Re-visited today & noticed a new menu which was really good ! The staff were friendly as usual & the food was as good but even better. 👍😁👌💥 Visited again to go out with family friends. As usual, the staff were very friendly and the food was excellent. The open kitchen is great to see with all the Chefs cooking. The place is kept clean and the general atmosphere is great. The toilets are kept clean too. Overall a fab experience 👍😁

Went for meal before Theatre performance. Donburi dish was good, couldn't finish it. Had to take some home. Lovely drink from;apples, mango, orange & ginger. 🤗🤗

It's OK but like the whole chain the food is rather mediocre and expensive for what it is. Then at £8 for a pint of beer I feel a tad ripped off....

Let's start with the positive. The service was good and fast but the food was a joke. No idea how people can except this rubbish. It was in a word 'bland' and when I go to a restaurant to eat food I expect it to be good no excuses. And I don't care what people say food is the number one thing that has to be on point and it wasn't. Nevertheless I gave the manager my feedback and even left forgetting to pay but returned as soon as I realised I hadn't to pay. This was the decent and correct thing to do and in return the decent and correct thing would have been to not charge me or otherwise which would have created goodwill. And for those two main reasons I won't be returning.

like all wagamama's, the food is over priced for what it is (White washed asian food, with the cheapest ingredients they can get away with) and for whatever reason they can't bring ur food out in one go.. despite the fact every other restaurant can manage it just fine. youll get one meal come out quickly and the others takes ages, so urs is stone cold by the time theirs comes out burt. worst of all u now 'have to' pay by the app, they wont take cash at all any more. the app needs all ur personal data just for a lunch brake. they only finally agreed to bring out a card reader after we threatened to walk out without paying. im not downloading another sodding app.

The place is good, there is space and good service but the food is not that good. It looks a bit like prepared food. There is no relationship between price and quality

First time visiting, it was absolutely a great place to eat, particularly enjoying the atmosphere and service by the restaurant. Food was delicious and unique and i enjoys the service given by Shannon, Jayda and Sophie. Will definitely be back for more! (also left a tip)

The waiters really good but the food the most important were soo poor, a Ramen Chicken was just water with onions and it costed £14 woow, the other options were okay therefore I won’t eat any more there.

Been here twice and really enjoyed their service and atmosphere. Food was amazing especially the chicken hot pot which I would highly recommend if you ever catch a flu!

The service was top notch, very attentive to detail, food very hot, juice fresh.

Dont go if you have allergies!!!!! Waitress with glasses and very overlined lips made me feel extremely uncomfortable for asking if an egg came on top of the ramen as I am allergic to eggs. She didn’t listen to me when I explained my allergy and treated me like an inconvenience and was overheard by my partner talking to another member of staff about how i made a huge fuss just for asking a question about my own allergy. The really poor customer service made me extremely uncomfortable and I will never visit again as she was really unwelcoming and rude.

Katsu Curry with side salad but side salad not edible as it had gone off,slimey,wet brown leaves.Just a thought,rinse then check its edible or do you not check your foods on the pass before it reaches customer.Mentioned it to server who looked blankly at me ???

I would eat at wagamamas everyday if I could. Absolutely love the vegetarian/vegan menu, the food is always delicious. The vegan ribs, absolutely spot on. Love them so much 🤤

Nice food and lovely staff when dining in. When I ordered for takeaway the food was still fresh and nice, however I ordered a kids portion size aswell as an adult size and the adult portion was almost the same amount as the kids option! Considering the adult's is twice the price of the kid's it was quite disappointing. Overall great food though.

Been here a few times now, always get the same thing (can't get enough of the chicken firecracker curry) and had a good time every single time. The drinks are also nice. Have been mostly served by Wiki and she's an absolute star. Thank you and see you next time

Our server Patty went above and beyond to meet our needs. We had some very specific requirements and she was very thorough at ensuring she got our information correct. Consequently, everyone was totally happy with their chosen meal. All in all a very lovely family meal experience. Thank you

Our evening with our fantastic and beautiful waitress Maya made the night. You can't help but notice how genuine and beautiful her presence is at it lights up the immediate atmosphere. This definitely enhanced the pleasure of the food. In terms of value for money it's ok.

The food is tasty but it is a bit pricey for what it is.

Really nice time, great food - the sake was excellent when paired with the ramen, too! Out with family and had a variety of foods with everyone having thoroughly enjoyed it all - the bang bang cauliflower and chili squid sharing plates were highlights, extremely flavourful. Service was good and the atmosphere is nice. Bit on the expensive side of things for me, but worth it once in a while!

Take serious care to customer with food allergies

Most disappointing customer service experience I have ever experienced. The manager that answered the phone was rude, refused to give me his name and hung up the phone on me. I will definitely not be going to this location again in the future.

A simple, friendly neighbourhood restaurant. No need to book, just walk up and enjoy your simple meal.

Chicken fire cracker with soba noodles is my favorite. I'm a regular customer to this place. Someone burned the food a bit though and covered it nicely with the noodles.. cheeky.. Just an odd experience this time. I informed the serving lady about it but no action was taken. So no tip this time. Hope this doesn't happen again.

Lovely WM and prompt friendly service. However I have noticed the food lacks taste. Ginger chicken udon tasted bland and childrens portion quite small.

This place is phenomenal! The vibe is calm and relaxed, the staff were proactive and really friendly! Clean environment too!

I went there with my colleague about a month ago and I was really happy with the experience I received, lots of food plus good amount for drinks. I'd definitely recommend coming 100%
