I'm not sure what it is, but the food wasn't quite as good as last time a year ago. Ordered the same thing (chicken katsucurry) and it just look or taste as sumptuous. With Bao duck starter and tap water it came to over £23, for which I'd expect better.

I ordered from Deliveroo. I ordered a chicken raisukaree which is naturally gluten free as I’m gluten intolerant. They sent me a chicken firecracker instead which is a completely different dish that I cannot eat. I called them offered to send photographic proof and asked for a redelivery and they refused. They instead said I shouldn’t have ordered as I have an allergy! I explained it’s an intolerance not an allegedly but the staff member was dismissive and told me there was nothing they could do. Deliveroo also said they wouldn’t organise another redelivery which was all shocking. Sad because it was the first time I’d ordered from them online but never again and I hope others stay far awayyyy stick to other branches!

I ordered some food via deliveroo for my mum, brother and myself. Between us we ordered some duck gyoka, kokopanko chicken, ebu katsu prawns, chicken katsu curry and a vegetable ramen. I would say some dishes were tastier than others, as I thought my ramen was very bland but everyone else enjoyed their food. I think if one knows what to order in this place, then a meal can be quite good. I would also add that eating in is probably better for the planet - not only in pricing but also in the packaging. This definitely needs to be looked at by head office, as its just plastic upon plastic.

The food in terms of flavour has gone downhill and prices have shot up. Bland food having to add soy sauce & chilli oil to tickle my taste buds. Portion sizes are hit and miss

On a main road of Croydon, there is a wagamama that has very friendly and very understanding personnel. I enjoyed everything I ate and drunk . Minutes from metro station and tram 🚊. One.of my favourite places in Croydon ! I think it should be bigger though and mich more nicely decorated.

The worst wagamama I've been to, the food was oily , and the staff hover .As soon as I finished the food the plate was gone for dust. .

I used to love food at wagamma, food had wonderful taste. Last time I been I was disappointed of the food that had less flavour.

Food Terrible! The state of it!!! Food was warm, not even hot. Tiny box if dired up lettuce leaves. Absolutely no flavor to this food and NO cutlery or chopsticks inuded with delivery. FIRST experience and first ever order with wagamama and did this through deliveroo. Received the chicken katsou, the restaurant is legit a few minss walk away and got this delivered to the hotel I'm in. Tasteless and very poor effort.... Ordering again, nah! Not a chance.

The have a huge range of vegan meals. And if you want spicy they have it as well. Customer service is right. They are very thorough with people who have food allergies. Not packed. My new place

I love wagamama restaurants regardless of whether some of them are not well managed. This one serves good quality food so I can recommend it.

Great food and got the chef to customise my dish to my preference. The freshly squeezed juice was a treat. Too noisy though, should invest in noise absorber decor.

We had a great experience. Our server Em, was polite, quick and efficient. We enjoyed all dishes we got and everything was out super quick and hot!

Fantastic food, bit of a wait but worth it

I ordered the Pad Thai which is delicious but having ordered it with just chicken (no prawns), the portion size was just appalling compared to what they are now charging for the dish (close to £15). I used to be a regular customer but not only have the prices consistently increased, but the portions for this exact same dish which I regularly order have also been equally and consistently reduced. Totally not worth it and you’ve lost a loyal customer. Do better.

The atmosphere is lovely, the staff were as attentive as you would want and the food was tasty, couldn't fault it!

Please ensure chefs are wearing hats and hair nets when preparing and cooking food, as I was eating my chicken rasiukaree and came across a dark strand of hair in my food. Highly disappointed as regularly order from here and food is always great, but today I couldn’t finish my meal and I’m not compensated for it. Strand of hair is beside the lemon on the lid. (May need to zoom in) hopefully can identify the person from the hair??!!

Great place to go for a family meal & relax. Great food & friendly staff. Re-visited today & noticed a new menu which was really good ! The staff were friendly as usual & the food was as good but even better. 👍😁👌💥 Visited again to go out with family friends. As usual, the staff were very friendly and the food was excellent. The open kitchen is great to see with all the Chefs cooking. The place is kept clean and the general atmosphere is great. The toilets are kept clean too. Overall a fab experience 👍😁

Went for meal before Theatre performance. Donburi dish was good, couldn't finish it. Had to take some home. Lovely drink from;apples, mango, orange & ginger. 🤗🤗

It's OK but like the whole chain the food is rather mediocre and expensive for what it is. Then at £8 for a pint of beer I feel a tad ripped off....

Let's start with the positive. The service was good and fast but the food was a joke. No idea how people can except this rubbish. It was in a word 'bland' and when I go to a restaurant to eat food I expect it to be good no excuses. And I don't care what people say food is the number one thing that has to be on point and it wasn't. Nevertheless I gave the manager my feedback and even left forgetting to pay but returned as soon as I realised I hadn't to pay. This was the decent and correct thing to do and in return the decent and correct thing would have been to not charge me or otherwise which would have created goodwill. And for those two main reasons I won't be returning.

like all wagamama's, the food is over priced for what it is (White washed asian food, with the cheapest ingredients they can get away with) and for whatever reason they can't bring ur food out in one go.. despite the fact every other restaurant can manage it just fine. youll get one meal come out quickly and the others takes ages, so urs is stone cold by the time theirs comes out burt. worst of all u now 'have to' pay by the app, they wont take cash at all any more. the app needs all ur personal data just for a lunch brake. they only finally agreed to bring out a card reader after we threatened to walk out without paying. im not downloading another sodding app.

The place is good, there is space and good service but the food is not that good. It looks a bit like prepared food. There is no relationship between price and quality

First time visiting, it was absolutely a great place to eat, particularly enjoying the atmosphere and service by the restaurant. Food was delicious and unique and i enjoys the service given by Shannon, Jayda and Sophie. Will definitely be back for more! (also left a tip)

The waiters really good but the food the most important were soo poor, a Ramen Chicken was just water with onions and it costed £14 woow, the other options were okay therefore I won’t eat any more there.

Been here twice and really enjoyed their service and atmosphere. Food was amazing especially the chicken hot pot which I would highly recommend if you ever catch a flu!

Dont go if you have allergies!!!!! Waitress with glasses and very overlined lips made me feel extremely uncomfortable for asking if an egg came on top of the ramen as I am allergic to eggs. She didn’t listen to me when I explained my allergy and treated me like an inconvenience and was overheard by my partner talking to another member of staff about how i made a huge fuss just for asking a question about my own allergy. The really poor customer service made me extremely uncomfortable and I will never visit again as she was really unwelcoming and rude.

Katsu Curry with side salad but side salad not edible as it had gone off,slimey,wet brown leaves.Just a thought,rinse then check its edible or do you not check your foods on the pass before it reaches customer.Mentioned it to server who looked blankly at me ???

I would eat at wagamamas everyday if I could. Absolutely love the vegetarian/vegan menu, the food is always delicious. The vegan ribs, absolutely spot on. Love them so much 🤤

Nice food and lovely staff when dining in. When I ordered for takeaway the food was still fresh and nice, however I ordered a kids portion size aswell as an adult size and the adult portion was almost the same amount as the kids option! Considering the adult's is twice the price of the kid's it was quite disappointing. Overall great food though.

Been here a few times now, always get the same thing (can't get enough of the chicken firecracker curry) and had a good time every single time. The drinks are also nice. Have been mostly served by Wiki and she's an absolute star. Thank you and see you next time

Our server Patty went above and beyond to meet our needs. We had some very specific requirements and she was very thorough at ensuring she got our information correct. Consequently, everyone was totally happy with their chosen meal. All in all a very lovely family meal experience. Thank you

Our evening with our fantastic and beautiful waitress Maya made the night. You can't help but notice how genuine and beautiful her presence is at it lights up the immediate atmosphere. This definitely enhanced the pleasure of the food. In terms of value for money it's ok.

The food is tasty but it is a bit pricey for what it is.

Really nice time, great food - the sake was excellent when paired with the ramen, too! Out with family and had a variety of foods with everyone having thoroughly enjoyed it all - the bang bang cauliflower and chili squid sharing plates were highlights, extremely flavourful. Service was good and the atmosphere is nice. Bit on the expensive side of things for me, but worth it once in a while!

Take serious care to customer with food allergies

Most disappointing customer service experience I have ever experienced. The manager that answered the phone was rude, refused to give me his name and hung up the phone on me. I will definitely not be going to this location again in the future.

A simple, friendly neighbourhood restaurant. No need to book, just walk up and enjoy your simple meal.

Chicken fire cracker with soba noodles is my favorite. I'm a regular customer to this place. Someone burned the food a bit though and covered it nicely with the noodles.. cheeky.. Just an odd experience this time. I informed the serving lady about it but no action was taken. So no tip this time. Hope this doesn't happen again.

Lovely WM and prompt friendly service. However I have noticed the food lacks taste. Ginger chicken udon tasted bland and childrens portion quite small.

same experience as other restaurants... less about the atmosphere and more about the company! food was good, but a prawn and chicken dish with only ONE prawn, not really on! also, this restaurant has loos in the basement with 2 steepish staircases... forget it if you are disabled!

The food was so delicious. Everything tasted so fresh. I had second and third helpings. I enjoyed the pork belly buns so much. And the staff were so helpful and friendly. Will go again.

I ordered the teriyaki beef brisket donburi with a cherry blossom lemonade. If you haven't tried either of them I would recommend quite tasty and refreshing.

We had a nice time at Wagamama The décor was simple stylist and the tables professionally laid out. The restaurant was filled with customers. We were greeted by a waitress called Glendha, who was welcoming, We chose to be seated in a corner seat where we sat. Before Glendha left, we were told Instead of paying by cash, we could pay by the QR code at our table. When Glendha gave The the menu she asked my daughter if she had any allergies, and she said yes. Glendha explained it's only the Manager who can take your orders from here on. But she can take the order for the drinks. Our drinks arrived they were lovely and cold a fair size glass. We were ready to place our order as we looked over where the manager was she came over, She was very welcoming friendly and polite. Fidan introduced herself and made us feel at ease, She was very knowledgeable about the menu and explained about the different ingredients on the menu. I must admit they had a wide range of vegan and vegetarian dishes. For some who don’t know Wagamama food is based on Japanese and Asian cuisine. My daughter's order was taken, with my order I asked if I could change some items in the dish I was ordering I don't eat meat but I liked what I saw. Fidan went out of her way to accommodate the changes and I felt good. My daughter ordered the EBI Katsu with chicken Katsu curry which consists of a crispy chicken which is coated in panko breadcrumb cooked and served with a mild curry sauce on sticky rice served with salad. Notice the table had soya sauce, cutlery, and serviette. Her meal needed to be seasoned it tasted bland but overall, it was still enjoyable. I ordered the Tantanmen ramen soup with prawns which were not on the list, It consisted of ramen noodles submerged in a broth with kimchee a fermented veg, menma a fermented bamboo shoot, tea-stained egg garnished with spring onion, coriander chill oil. My Ramen broth arrived warm, The waitress was willing to change my raman which she did it was lovely and hot but it required a hint of seasoning, apart from that the Ramen was lovely. “I know every pallet is different” The presentation was beautiful and professionally done. For dessert, I had Chocolate cheesecake with ginger biscuits base with coconut ice cream that was delicious My daughter chose the miso ice cream which she enjoyed. I noticed the restaurant got extremely busy The staff were busy taking orders and delivering food. There was one girl I had to stop and compliment she was very pretty and her hairstyle was beautiful we spoke she knows who she is she told me her name. Anyway, we had a great time.

Food was good overall. Food came with the wrong rice at first and when I mentioned this to the waitress, she told me I was wrong and that I had the sticky rice already. She then lectured me on the different types of rice they sell and how my food is definitely right. I double checked with a friend who works as a chef in another wagamama, who told me that it was obviously wrong, so approached the kitchen and asked them. They apologised and corrected the order and the food was great otherwise. Would recommend overall as the other staff seemed friendly and the issue was corrected quickly by the kitchen staff.

My First time at Wagamama and I enjoyed the food. I got the Chicken Ramen. Kamica was excellent and helped me decide my first dish at Wagamama.

Great Polish girl was our waitress. Can't remember her name but she really looked after us so thanks for that and food was amazing as always. Who knew spicy cauliflower could be so tasty!?!!

This is my local Wagamama and I love it here. Great service from the staff, especially Jayda. She is friendly, smiley, very welcoming and observant. The food as usual is full of flavour and filling. The vegetarian options are also much better than before, I am able to dine here more often.

I was NOT expecting to find such a great restaurant! Food was delightful, waited less than 5 minutes to get my meal. Really enjoyed it and will definitely try more of the menu next time I go to the UK

I love their Katsu Curry. Always ordering. A bit pricey however i must give in!

Very disappoint with the customer service we experienced when eating here. The starters come after the mains and the manager (wearing glasses) very rude and was not polite when asking questions to see where the starters were as the mains come. The food well under cooked and no taste whatsoever. Pad Thai horrible, veg giozas terrible. Will not return if this is how you look after your customers.

I’ve purchased a £40 gift card at the beginning of July and went to this very branch in Croydon as it’s located close to my house. I’ve ordered 3 items : Chicken ramen , chicken tandoori and a coconut ice cream on 08.07.2023 and the total was £26. I’ve used my gift card and went outside for a quick walk. 10-15 minutes later I’ve returned to the restaurant and have been given my takeaway order and went home. About a week later , I’ve visited another Wagamama location in central London and wanted to order some food and use the leftover balance of my gift card but the staff told me there’s no balance in it. Managers from the store told me the total balance of £40 has been used and that I should give a call to the Croydon branch and they can fetch the information through the system by date and order details. When I was speaking to the Croydon branch manager , she asked me for my receipt 7-10 days after I’ve made my order ,which is absolutely ridiculous! It’s so crooked how a member of staff has abused my balance and I got scammed with £14 without using them. The situation to this day hasn’t been resolved ,nor my balance of £14 restored and the amount doesn’t matter at all ,it’s a principles that matter to me. Female team member that serviced me didn’t acknowledge my presence for the first 4-5 minutes , however the food preparation and quality was good. In general :1/5 stars is deserved and the only star goes to the kitchen team.

Food was good. Some of the veg in the ramen was undercooked though. Suid balls were amazing. Easily the best thing on the menu.

I had ordered a ramen, unfortunately it came a bit late so they let me choose any drinks. The ramen was good just the chicken was a bit dry. Waiter and waitress are really nice always asking if all good. I would recommend!

Literally one of if not the best Wagamama’s ever. Perfect food and staff are lovely. There’s rows of tables for individual eaters to sit or groups to sit together along with tables for 4s. I love this Wagamama’s and i will continue to visit.

Lots of staff but they didn’t serve us for a long time unfortunately. When we did get served the food was nice.

A lovely meal out if you enjoy Asian food.

We went on a night when a show was on at the Fairfield, planning to have a pre show meal but lots of other people had the same idea and we had to wait for about 15 minutes for a table. This was made clear to us and we were happy to wait and the estimated waiting time was accurate. There were several wait staff but some seemed to be standing around not doing much whilst one person seated guests, cleared tables and dealt with unhappy customers of which there seemed to be a couple. We could see our drinks sitting on the bar for 5-10 minutes before someone brought them over. ( The pina colada was very unusual and had a spicy but pleasant taste). We ordered as soon as we sat down. The three items arrived at different times, which is usual and all three tasted great. We were able to pay using a QR code which saved time and we made our show I'm good time.

Stephan was very helpful and polite. Food quantity was really good but taste wise it was less spicy as compared to other wagamama branches.

Food was OK but the bottled beer was served at virtually room temperature. When queried the young waitress said that the fridge was virtually empty and my beer was taken from a box in the storeroom. At over £7 for a 660mm bottle this was not good enough.

Lovely wagamama branch! Food tasted amazing. Service probably was my least favourite though from all the branches I’ve been to. I usually get the chilli steak ramen rather than chicken, which i do recommend more.
