Food is terrible,its a worry when a Chinese takeaway cant do fried rice ptoperly and the girl that answers the phone is so rude, no care ! Defo wont use again

Avoid , ordered plain rice noodles ( I’m vegetarian) which came with chicken / bacon in them . Complained and were NOT offered a replacement/ refund. Totally disgraceful customer service . Do not recommend this place and I will not be using again

Unbelievably shocking, terrible and not worth a visit. Avoid at all costs, tried to resolve the issues again and again but to no avail

Poor service , food cold on arrival waited 2.5 hours to be delivered avoid if you want excellent service go elsewhere

We use Ying a lot and they have never let us down. Delivery usually early mid week and their food is consistently good. Good value too

Very poor service. Ordered at 7.30pm at 9.00pm told another 30min as too busy with just eat orders. Not interested in refunds or discounts. Personally just typical money grabbing, poor service which is happy to leave you high and dry with no food. Now 9.30pm and food ordered from Sofia’s in Currie.

£55 order. Probably received around £35 worth of dishes ordered. Two main meals missed out. 2 side dishes missed out. Two side rices ordered were incorrect. Ordered via Just Eat. Order number attached, for transparency. Cheated!

Awful the chicken balls in batter had the worst chicken I've ever seen, Also ordered honey shredded chicken that was fat slime plz avoid disgusting 20 quid down the drain

never again 2 hour 20 minute delivery and the food was cold had to reheat everything, and orders over 15 pound get free prawn crackers, none with the order.

They seem to think 2 hours (with no advanced warning) is fine for delivery, I don’t. If you don’t stay in Balerno and can go to collect avoid this takeaway. My friend left hungry after a long wait before it arrived, most of the food went in the bin.

It's usually a Friday evening when cooking just seems out of the question and Ying has never let me down! Shredded beef in chilli sauce and we like noodles with bean sprouts, I suggest you try salted chicken wings they are so crispy.

We have been getting take aways from Ying for a number of years, the food is delicious, we always thoroughly enjoy whatever we get, often going for different dishes and all have been very good. This evening we had Mongolian chicken which was so good, the salt and chilli dishes are always a favourite and the prawn toast is literally bursting with filling. We recently had Chinese from a relative's local take away and it only reminded us how much better the quality and portions are at Ying. Staff are nice too.

Just ordered from this takeaway but they sent the wrong thing. Phoned them to get it corrected but the guy that answered tried to blame the order being wrong on my husband, for not confirming the order correctly! The guy wasn't even going to offer to deliver the correct order until I asked him to bring the correct dish and I would give back the wrong dish. He reluctantly agreed to do so after a few sighs and tuts. Then he phoned back and tells me they don't have what I ordered on the menu and that it would cost me more. I had ordered a chicken and mushroom omelette, not exactly a complex dish. I refused to pay any more and explained that I have ordered this from other takeaways and not had any problem. He eventually agreed he would send it without further charge and hung up on me. Terrible customer service and totally unnecessary as if he had just recognised it was a mistake and offered to send the correct order, instead of trying to blame the customer. Not using them ever again.

We had read some local reviews and the main issue seemed to be with organisation as opposed to food quality.. So we decided to step over that hurdle and go and collect ourselves. Ordering necessitated quite a bit of clarification which felt uncomfortable. We ordered Salt and Chilli prawn - a favourite, and schezuan duck, a new dish for my partner. We tried to order, though couldn't find on the very comprehensive menu, a side portion of soft noodles. Only option she informed me was a full portion of plain chow mein at £4.50. We just went with a portion of egg fried rice and left the noodles. Both dishes were great on flavour, though prawns were slightly overcooked, or had sat too long: chewy and batter had 'collapsed' although we did get there in the 10 minutes we were told it would take. Partners duck, again good flavour but over done and a bit tough. Wondering if our dishes got re-heated the minute we phoned and sat for the other 9 minutes? We asked whilst there about not having side portions of soft noodles - Unfortunately we couldn't fully understandt the explanation given. Something about it wasn't on the menu: no-one has asked for it: - I was the only one! - So a no-can-do approach to customer requests. All in all an okay experience, Not rushing back
