Food good as usual. At 6.20pm Friday, Shop was rammed with people outside as well. Good for business but food was ready 15mins after my 6.20pm time slot.

First time using the app as advised by my daughter. Very easy to use and as I walked through the door my order was just being completed. Very friendly and polite staff and the fish and chips were great!

On entering, it was very busy. Initially I was pleased for them. The 3 young guys behind the counter were working their socks off, but clearly couldn't cope with the volume of orders from customers and the delivery orders. My order got forgotten for a while. I sat patiently for a long time. An older guy appeared behind the counter, but this didn't speed up the service. I ordered the chicken gyros and chips. The chicken had sat on the hotplate for ages, and ended up a dried out mess. The chips were pale and soggy. The lot ended up in the bin. Ive taken pics. A huge waste of time and money.

Gave a 5 🌟 review a while back, changing it to 2 🌟. Gave them 3 trys to see if bad day. But sorry to say, they are now awfull. Wont be using them again.

I paid £12.65 for a tasteless, greasy piece of fish as well as a large portion of barley warm dried up chips. The pie was ok apart from the fact is was lukewarm. We live a mile from the shop and the car was warm. Disgusting. However the cat were happy, then again they'll eat anything. This placed to be a great chippy, unfortunatley it's gone down hill. Will not be returning

Just purchased fish/ chips /mushy peas,can only say its the worst chippy food I've ever had,dry fish,warmed up inedible chips, will definitely not be returning here 😑

Gutted with just eats 60£ of food wasnt delivered to our address. Said it was delivered but not to our address as if it wasn’t stressful enough at the vicarage

Had their kebab, after hearing they won awards for it. The gyros meat (chicken) was microwaved right in front of me eyes. The gyros bread was not the proper one, but store bought, pre-made pitta. The taste n texture of chicken donner/ gyros was rubbery n very salty. Shop was clean, service was somewhat quick but the quality of the food was sub-standard. Won't be going again, despite them winning awards.

I go here for lunch break every Tuesday, All the lads in my department love it and personally I've got to say it's the best chippy around Flintshire. The fish is one of our favourites.

Just received my order. I ordered chinese chicken curry. I specifically asked for no onions and it came absolutely full of them. Disgusting! Actually made me feel sick. Our whole order came to nearly £40. I wont order from here again but in future I suggest you read specific requirements especially if someone happens to have an allergy.

So sad to see the local chippy has got very greedy with high prices and poor quality food!! Ordered a delivery tonight , totally disgusting!! Chicken must have been sat out for ages then refried, dry like cardboard, barely edible. The portions of mushy peas and curry were very small for £2.20 each!! They’ve decreased in size over the last few weeks as have the portion size of the chips!! Overall will not order again and will definitely not recommend !!

After requesting 2 Large Fish (didn’t even get chance to finish), the man in charge overheard, interrupted, ‘tutted’ and rolled his eyes telling me “…we close at 13:30…” and refused to serve me. When I reminded him the Shop was open and questioned his Business appetite, he shrugged his shoulders and replied “…it’s not my Shop…” I wondered what Yiannos would think of that? I had just travelled over 200 miles from Portsmouth to visit my 84 year old Father in Mynydd Isa, we were both looking forward to a Fish & Chip Lunch, but we went without. We will never go there again!

Always good food, quick service and reasonable prices

Food is great, delicious chips and curry, but service was pretty shoddy, we were only one of a couple of people in and went up to the counter to order but were ignored for about 5 minutes. No acknowledgement or 'be with you in a minute', actually looked at us and then back down and carried on with what they were doing. Don't mind waiting but just a hello would have been nice!

Modern looking chippy with modern menu boards etc, very clean. However not the best chips they are a bit on soggy side

I cannot fully convey just how nice the food is from here. The straight forward things such as , chips, fish, sausages etc are the pinnacle of quality and taste. I realise that everyone's taste is different but for every member of my fussy family, this place is perfect.

Not the nicest meat and potato pie I've had It was more like a mashed up pie ,also the chips were a bit aneamic need to be cooked A bit longer,but it was busy,

We had been told by many people that this is THE chip shop to go to.. - so we did! LARGE fish was smaller than my feet and I take a size 3 - the chips were obviously heated up with no colour or taste and the fishcake may as well have been called a Saltcake as that was all you could taste. The only saving grace was the Mushy Peas. The whole meal arrived cold and after spending £22 for 2 people for most of it to end up in Flintshire Food Recycling it will not be happening again.

We had fish and chips from here last night and they were 1st class. We shared a large chips and there was at least another portion left. The lightly battered fish was so tasty and fresh and the chips yummy. Absolutely delicious, will be returning for definite.

Had ok food in the past but last night’s was horrible. Curry sauce was rank and we both had an aftertaste of grease for house. Not sure what has changed but we won’t be back

I ordered today the 14th of Jan 2023 and they were so good. The delivery was early by half an hour and the food was amazing. Best cheesy chips in a long time. Just the right temperature and loads of cheese. I also ordered two battered sausages and they were lovely too. Well done yiannos great experience will definitely order again.

Looking forward to a take-away this evening and not having to spend time in the kitchen. Decided to try Yiannos again, the memory of my last visit there having somehow unexplicably faded. However, this visit was again found to be seriously wanting in a different way. Ordered fish, chips and mushy peas x2 and large sausage and chips after queuing for a short time, which provided me with some optimism…..only to then wait for 42 minutes for the take—away…. Had to ask at the counter what was going on with my order only to be responded to in a mumbled reply that my order must have “dropped off their counter screen”. This was after watching all customers arriving after me and leaving within 10 minutes or so with their order. Really feel I should have asked for a refund and gone home and prepared a meal myself. Food was poor quality and luke warm. Never again!

Absolutely vile... the best kebab in north wales?? Really, it tastes almost boiled its beyond soggy and for the price it not even near a edible how cam you charge that amount for dog good like this! Really not impressed at all and will never ever return we went hungry tonight as was expecting atleast good food for a supposed award winning chippy. Ordered food online and time to collect was 6pm went in just before told them we were there to pick our food up. Told us they would just be getting it ready which we said okay because it was busy, stood outside for 40 minutes while at least 30 people came and got their food before us. Went in again and they hadn't even started getting it ready then we could see the lads talking about us while we were waiting. So not best pleased

Ordered food, waited 20 minutes for it to be ready. Got home to see there was a item missing from my order… don’t know how this place won best kebab myself as the doner meat was vile. Would not recommend at all! Won’t be returning.

Edible (just about) is the nicest thing I can say. Not sure how or why this place won best kebab in Wales. After arriving at the collection time stated I then had to queue for 10 minutes only to be told they hadn't started it yet so another 15 minutes I waited. This allowed me to see my food being prepared. The chicken shavings, I refuse to call it gyros as advertised as that's just disrespectful to actual gyros, were taken out of the fridge in a plastic container and put in to the microwave to warm up. These warmed up chicken shavings were then chucked in to an asda smart price tortilla, not pitta, with a load of salad and some strange mint and yoghurt sauce as they had no tzatziki. Quite the opposite to authentic. The kids meal was a small 45% pork sausage on half a kilo of chips in a happy meal esque cardboard box. When it came to eating the chicken shavings at home the wrap was soggy because of the water from the salad and the chicken shavings were flavourless. I would strongly advise the Best Kebab in Wales Board to reconsider. I will not be returning. Ewloe kebab house is far superior and with PROPER gyros.

Excellent quick service and the portion sizes are perfect. The fish is also very good. Happy to travel from Holywell for this so that says it all .

I ordered a meal last night through an app and requested delivery for 19.45 which was acknowledged the food was delivered one and half hours early which meant the food had to be re.heated when everyone was available to eat the chips were uncooked in all poor service and poorfood

Usually lovely, last time was just warm, ordered today via Flintshire eats (no review option on there) and the fish was well over cooked! The batter was that hard I couldn’t get my fork through and the fish when I eventually got to it was dry and inedible!! Disappointing

Ordered some food on the Just Eat app. Was meant to come at 6PM. Still not turned up and it's now 6:20pm. Worst customer experience I've had as got into an argument with the guy who put the phone down on me.

Good fish and chip shop worth using if your local. The price is good and fair and the staff are always friendly (even the young ones) Buckley has a lot of fast food places and this has fast become a favourite of ours.
