Yeung Sing Chinese Takeaway in Denbighshire

The customer service from the lady behind the counter was absolutely terrible. I have never been spoken to like the ways that she spoke to me tonight. I will never go back there again. And the way she spoke to her son (I think it's her son) if not, it was a member of staff and it was terrible.

Absolutely beautiful I had a beef curry fried rice and chips .. you could tell it had been freshly cooked..still piping hot when we got it home... In my eyes the best Chinese around...

Been going here for years. However had a meal on Sunday evening and have been so ill since, I have food poison for sure and the only thing I ate was from here.

Food hygiene rating is ONE! Me and my partner felt physically sick after eating food from there two week ago and then I checked the rating and it’s ONE. This place treats customers in such disgraceful way! Disgusting 🤢

We visited early Friday evening. Although my husbands chicken omelette was acceptable the chips were small and soggy. My salt and pepper ribs which I had ordered, I can honestly say were inedible, the coating was moist but the meat (if you found any) was hard and burnt. I phoned up within 10 minutes of receiving our meal to be shouted at down the phone by a Chinese lady telling me she was too busy. I returned the ribs this evening having been disgusted by her reaction the evening before - no no no no she shouted at my husband you eaten, no refund. I have never returned food before nor wrote a bad review every where/one can have a bad day but the quality and attitude on this occasion was unbelievable.

Unfortunately I placed an order in this establishment to be greeted with a grunt no please or thank you told 25 mins to wait (fine ) sweet sour chicken in massive ball's of greasy batter when said to the girl who's the chip wrapper can I have it the normal way said I should of specified which way I wanted it ....very bad attitude terrible chinese and never go again .... yeng sing manager needs to get a new chip wrapper someone with manners not some young little girl who says she will end up dying in the Chinese to the customers when asked you still working here !!

I should’ve checked the hygiene rating before I started to go to this place… very unfriendly service, especially from the Chinese lady (apparently an owner), I like how she suddenly stop understanding English when customers are complaining to her, but very good in taking the new orders and counting the money. I saw couple of arguments in the shop when she didn’t put rice/curry in peoples orders, I checked my order in the shop straight by the till and my curry was missing, when I pointed out to her the owner started to open EVERY SINGLE container of food that was in my order, what was she checking?! That I’m not hiding a pot of curry inside the container with fried rice? Also very often the cash machine is broken by the post office and when they take orders they never let you know about it. Average bill is 23-25£ and you can have the prawn crackers for free only if….you really ask for it nicely! Because when served by owner she’s getting very forgettable when it comes to free prawn crackers for your order. I don’t like the attitude, curry sauce is burning hot, chips are soggy and service is horrible. I’m not going to be back again and I assume they don’t display the hygiene rating for a reason…

Excellent value & lovely food. We ordered a banquet for 2 over the phone, pick up was due in 20 minutes & cash only. Food was ready boxed up waiting. There was plenty for 3 people & was reasonably priced at £25. We have visited other Chinese takeaways in the area previously due to the higher rating & have been disappointed. We decided to try here & was pleasantly surprised. This is our regular from now on. The blackbean was delicious & fillet steak cantenese just lovely. Starters all piping hot. Would definitely recommend

We recently had a takeaway from this place whilst staying in the area and it has to be said it is the worst we have ever had, spare ribs floating in yellow grease and more of that than source, the main course was no better as all you could taste was grease, totally vile and all ended up in the bin, girl behind the counter very rude and no concept of customer service, I bet if environmental health paid them a visit they would have a field day in that kitchen, awful experience and never again, do not eat anything from here, steer clear as all these bad reviews cant be wrong and trust me they are not, also wonder why that have removed the food hygiene rating certificate, begs the question !!

i ordered bbq spare ribs for collection . took them home to discover a strange portion of ribs of unknown description . rang back and told the girl . she admitted the mistake and said she would swap them for the correct item . took them back to be confronted by a chinese lady whose english was very poor but insisted no swaps or refunds because the item had left the shop . after a few minutes of difficult arguing i was reluctantly given the correct ribs but felt insulted . please double check your order or risk embarrassing confrontation in two languages

Been going here almost every Saturday night for years. We live locally. We have the same meal every time. Ordered tonight and went to collect. Was told the price, almost £4 more than we usually pay. I asked why and was told Lisa the owner wants more money. I kindly asked them to tell Lisa to keep the food and walked out. Hopefully they will have to bin what we ordered this evening and I will never return here again. I will also request that as many people I know in the area avoid this take away. Disgusting service from owner!!!! Never get another penny from us.

After being stuck abroad for 2 months finally something close to normality. Recommend the chicken chow mein and the beef curry! So nice!

We are visiting this lovely part or north wales and thought we’d try out one of the local Chinese takeaway as we love Chinese food! Yes choice is limited so we went on gut instincts which was between this and another place down the road! We spent roughly £25 for the three of us! Hand on heart this is the worst food I have ever wasted money on. Firstly, everything tasted old, not fresh, under seasoned overcooked and generally poorly thrown together. You can tell when a local takeaway only exist simply to make money and does not care much about quality, flavour, reputation or generally what they sell to the public! I honestly cannot describe how appalling bad this food was. I can forgive crap cooking but this was more than crap cooking, the quality of the food was exceptionally poor!!! Before I list the individual issues with our order, the finally and most important point is that I had the dodgiest tummy and crap my life out for 2-3 days straight after eating this garbage.... albeit most went into the bin!! We ordered (& I will post pictures):- 1. Sweet & Sour Chicken - the ‘chicken’ was deep fried in an extremely thick greasy batter with the sauce on the side!! Odd - when I bit into the chicken it was dry and taste slightly off with a texture akin to beef jerky 2. Salt & Pepper chicken - did not taste of salt or pepper.... extremely oily and again the chicken was very rubbery!! 3. Siu Mai Dim sum - omg, this was so awful it’s probably why I’ve written this review! It taste off, and still cold on the inside when I bit into it. I genuinely gagged and spat in back into the container! Absolutely unforgivable!! Awful - not fit for human consumption 4. Egg fried rice :- the rice was so old the grains tough had started to breakdown! Heaven knows how long this had been cooked for... there was no evidence of eggs used!! Just a disgusting brown coloured crap which was completely flavourless and old! 5. Chicken chow mien:- should be chicken chow nasty! Good luck finding the noodles! Bland, tough, old and tasteless chicken pieces swimming in a questionable brown liquid with an odd smell! If this place was going for the award for how awful (I am using awful as I am not allowed to curse) they could get it then I genuinely think they’d surpassed themselves!! All in all, ignore this review at your peril - good luck!

Got a special fried rice (wet version) so good, got so full since it felt like having 2 servings. Wayyy worth the price more than the other on the menu. Definitely gonna be a regular.

I will never ever get a meal from here - sweet & sour chicken - the amount of oil from the chicken was unbelievable - Luke warm meals - the lady that served me looked so dirty - unwashed hair, chipped nail varnish - also I did notice that the hygiene rating - it had the date removed from it - I will never, ever have a takeaway from here again!!!

Phoned through our order last night to collect,girl who answered the phone was extremely rude but we didn't take much notice and went to pick up our order....wish we hadn't bothered,the girl even worse when we got there and we weren't the only ones to notice as other customers were complaining,terrible service absolutely no manners and an attitude that absolutely stunk...to top it off we then found hairs on our food and when I rang to speak to the owner was told she couldn't speak to me....for future reference go to chynna garden...you may pay slightly more but service is excellent and the food is the best....never again

Every time of late when we have ordered there is something missing from the order. Then when we call to complain the woman owner screams down the phone at you. Dreadful customer service

I really enjoyed the food and the young girl at the front called Lydia was really funny and had a great laugh and she really made me feel welcome I would recommend going there in the week because she said there the days she works what I lovely pace can’t wait to go back soon

We ordered sweet and sour chicken the other night and it was perfectly crispy and good sauce to dip with. Definitely recommend it.

We came here on recommendation from a staff member at aldis. We have been on holiday in Preststyn so fancied a chinese to take back to our holiday cottage. Food was outstanding. The lady on the desk was lovely and gave my daughter a lollipop while we waited. I had veg curry and my partner had sweet and sour chicken, along with egg fried rice, crispy seaweed and chips. Best chinese takeaway ive ever eaten, was absolutely delicious and we will definitely return!!

I don’t tend to write reviews but the food was honestly terrible and inedible. Soup starter was like dish water and too peppery. The brown rice was tasteless and mushy as if it had been cooked the day before. Asked for sweet and sour and they sent chicken balls in batter that was really greasy. The chips and salt and pepper chicken was okay but not enjoyable due to all the other poor food.I phoned up to discuss before writing this review but had the phone put down on me. I wouldn’t recommend.

I went in after work and bought chilli beef and fried rice for supper and it was crunchy, sweet and filling. Perfect with a beer at home.

Ordered a meal for four and all plates were clean. Supposed to be half chips and half rice but was more like full portions of each. Excellent food

I've been using this Chinese for years and always recommend it. Recently the food has become a lot below standard. There recent hygiene review is shocking.

We were staying at a nearby caravan park and fancied a chippy tea. We found this place and we’re glad we did. Our meals were very nice and tasty and good portion sizes too. We will return when back in the area.

I was shocked to find the hygiene rating has drop to zero but please be aware the hygiene rating is not 100% just cleanliness for the mark as zero just means they need to improve and sort problems soon. If they were a hazard to the public they would've been closed down by the inspectors. Anyway it is graded by 3 factors like structural integrity, daily records of cleaning and of course hygiene as stated on their webpage. Please don't be quick to judge until you've asked and actually get a explanation.

Thought everyone should be aware , used to have a rating of three now new rating shown as zero. This is extremely concerning

Hubby and son absolutly love their chicken sweet and sour. Huge chunks of battered chicken and a pot of sauce. My beef fried rice was lush too. Piping hot and plenty to go round.

Food cooked freshly to a great srandard and plenty of it.Great staff who answer the phone who take the orders and help organising the kitchen staff. No faults over the last 12 months

Placed a telephone order and was ready within half hour. We ordered BBQ spare ribs, soup and spring rolls and there was plenty to go round 4 of us.

Consistantly good quality food. Usually ready in around 15 minutes. Good sized portions and always pipping hot.

The other day me and my co-worker got a meal from here and health inspectors arrived as we were informed by staff and which took a long time for us to get our food, although that the meal satisfied us (chicken fried rice and sweet and sour chicken) and was worth price and wait.

The best ever! My husband and I had very different meals, I had the special chow mein, excellent. Good variety of tasty meats and plenty of it. My husband had crispy chilli pork, amazing flavour. It was a Saturday evening we did a phone order, told it would be ready in 15 minutes and it was. They were quite busy with phone orders and call in customers. Good value for money. We were very impressed

We've been using this takeaway for years, and lately it's got really bad, the food doesn't seem freshly cooked at all - the salt and pepper chips taste old and reheated; and they always, always, always get the order wrong, hands up everyone who's got home missing a fried rice or with the wrong meal completely?!

Never had a problem with the food, always been absolutely lovely. Good size portions and good price, staff are lovely and every time I’ve been to collect my food they offer me a bag of free prawn crackers. The only problem is you can only pay with cash!

This is the worst take away I've ever visited. Travelled 3 miles to order, got back after spending nearly £50 on food (6 people eating) to find the rice was missing!! I phoned to be told, it was busy and they couldn't help it, "we'll give it to you free next time !!! " how can it ever be given free.... we'd already paid for it and not received it!!!

We are local people who have used the take away on several occasions. We have seen people before coming in and stating they have had items missing from their order and see the owner argue with them can call them liars but not taken much notice. It happened to us tonight where a rice was missing and we simply reported it but the owner accused us of lying. The front of house girls are lovely but the owners really don’t give a dam and are so rude. We would use this Chinese if it was the last one open. The new Chinese on Meliden Road is really good.

Depending what you order it's very hit and miss. King prawn and seasonal vegetables always good. Chicken fried rice I threw in the bin, burnt and over cooked. Looked like last week's reheated. Still go but I agree with other reviews. If they say 20 minutes go in 10. They also forget meals and when you arrive say you didn't order. Check what's in your bag before you leave.

I have read most of the reviews about this takeaway and a lot of the problems seem to be about the coolness and freshness of the food. I have a tip for those who have complained, if they say collect in 30 minutes then go in 20 minutes, it is probably complete and is stood in a warmer. The food when fresh is excellent. The place is always busy and sometimes extremely busy. That's when the complaints will happen. My tip to the people who own it is "Don't try to please everybody" just tell some people that you are running at capacity and collection time will be later. Will we go again? Definitely.

After reading some reviews I was looking forward to to try here, however I was extremely disappointed!! The egg fried rice was dark brown!! Never before have I tried rice that colour from a Chinese nor that flavour! It was like an over kill of soy/fish sauce! My husband isn a fussy man when it comes to Chinese but even he didn't really touch the chicken curry he ordered. Would never go back there again while on holiday.

This place was recommended to us by the guest house owners where we are staying.Me and my husband went for a sit down meal. It was lovely inside, we sat next to some really interesting tropical fish, no need to go to the aquarium now!The food was fantastic!!!!! Fresh and fast and tasted amazing cooked perfectly. I loved the chicken in lettuce wrap that was something special! There were bits of cashews in it too it just made it even tastier! Price is brilliant for the quality and portion size. Recommend!

We have ordered from them a few times now and never had a bad meal! We especially love their Lemon chicken! They don't deliver which is the only real downside but the food is lovely and the service is pretty quick.

Regularly get take aways as local but had a few mistakes in order with new owners - most recent where no cumcumber or spring onion with duck pancakes, phoned & went back to takeaway only to be lied to that they'd been put in bag - liars & would not trust them - please come back old owners the place isn't the same!!!

I love chinese curries with chips and rice. Rice ok, chips ok curry had no vegetables or mushrooms so not ok, it was average hence will not be getting a takeaway from here again unless it changes hands.

Visited here before. Always been ok. Never more than a 3 star. Last night was terrible. The girl serving had dirty nails. That should have been a warning. Got home all the food (just english orders) were barely luke warm and tasted stale. Chips were like cardboard. Pie was like biting into a brick. Was peak time. 545. So couldn't have been sitting there long. So shocked at how poor it was. Suffice to say wont be going back. Very disappointing

The fact that they display a council rating of only 3 stars should be a warning to the public - Remember these ratings are not based on regular spot checks but on a prearranged appointment to check hygiene/preparation standards. I should have noted this before I placed my order!I ordered a beef chow mien which consisted of some noodles (the chow mien) with lots of vegetable stalks ie. broccoli in a thick brown gravy. There was meat (beef?) which was hard and suspiciously all the same shape and size, let's just say' not carved off a joint. Not to be recommended unless you are a very drunk male, desperately hungry and it is late on a Friday/Saturday night and the kebab shops are shut.

We have been using this take away for a while now, it has never let us down yet! Brilliant portion sizes, quick and efficient service and the food is to die for! We have recommended it to many of our friends and will be returning (most weekends)

As the title says. I had the crispy chili beef which is the best I have ever had from a Chinese takeaway the only downside was the prices were okayish (however the portions are massive!). We also went on a Tuesday night when it was quiet but it still took a while to be ready (at least it's fresh I suppose!). Overall really tasty food , not bad prices but service could be quicker :)

This is a small restaurant which is popular for take aways, after eating the amazing food i can understand why. Friendly and caring staff

A busy Saturday teatime, ordered two simple dishes mushroom foo young and beef fried rice. Both were horrible, acrid taste to both and foo young actually burnt. There were no vegetables of any description apart from very few mushrooms in the foo young. The fried rice accompanying the foo young tasted bitter. Shall not be going here again, expected good food after a 20 minute wait.

This is a quality takeaway/Restaurant offering quality food very tasty and good service. I'll definitely come back here again. Value for money.

Went to Yeung Sing whilst staying at Greenacres in Gronant there are not enough words to tell how good it was 45 mins from ordering to eating (it was 5-15pm) plenty of food really good quality and piping hot when we got back to the site. The Ribs were the best I have ever had and my wife who is a Lemon Chicken expert says it was the best she had ever tasted. The real winner here is the food.

Very clean place and polite staff.food was nice cooked well.large portions.kept hot till back to camp site very well packaged.

Ordered king prawn fried rice and negotiated free gravy on top! ( if you don't ask you don't get) and it was spot on, polished off the whole tray. Lovely service too and quick . Thank you !

This chinese take away is very nice the only thing i would not really recommend are the chips they are always soggy never crispy could do with being left in the fryer for another 5 minutes.But everything else i have had is lovely.

Lovely food, staff where polite and answered any questions i had about allergies. Got served quickly & food arrived fast and was very cheap compared to other Chinese Takeaways iv been too!

I ordered a kin do which is a slightly sweet and spicy dish, usually with onions peppers and various other vegetables in it, and then pieces of whatever meat in it. I got a tub of pretty much all batter, I don't mind a bit but there was barely any meat in them, and the sauce was just a tub of sweet and sour sauce with no vegetables at all in it. I was not impressed at all wish I'd saved my money.

So me and big bae, decided to get big up Chinese before we popped #housepartay. We see big Iws and Tyler after their date in Bar 236, they say it was decent and they popped for chicken thighs in co-op. So we thought ey, big up Chinese next to co-op, let's try it. So we pop in see big H, she's a top lad but i'll be honest chips let it all go down, down the toilet. Let's just say I'm sure it was just raw potato. Curry was decent but doubt we'll poppy there again. Cheers though.But would have given it a 2 if big H wasn't there for dank convos.

Had a take away from here. Pre ordered over the phone. Have had meals from here before and all was OK. Tonight was different even though we pre ordered we had to wait in the queue of turn up and serve which took some time. Over the phone it was ready in fifteen minutes. Overall time fifteen minutes after arrival to pick up. Food most important was good except for the chips which were like cheap Lidl chips and quite soggy. Quantity was great, enough for four not two. Added was prawn crackers for free (all good value for money) but I'm fed up of giving 4 / 5 stars for food and service which doesn't give that something special.

Just tried this fine take away for the first time. Had a Kung Po. It was as it should be, plenty of chilli, quite sweet, and a very sizeable portion. I have no hestitation in giving this fine establishment my full hearted endorsment.

Having read the reviews decided to give it a try and loved it, next test was to go and get takeaway for hubby and I. Hard to please as his fav Chinese changed hands early this year but Yeung Sing passed the test. Good quality and excellent portion size.Is certainly one of the best in the wider Prestatyn/Rhyl area.

The yeung sing takeaway is the best Chinese in Prestatyn as far as I am concerned my son and family love visiting so they can indulge , the service is excellent and the food top rate ,,, the portions are very generous and quality second to none ,, highly recommend a visit ,, guarantee you will return

We have a weekly take away from Yeung sing, food is always good very hot and tasty, good value for money, staff are always friendly , we normally do a phone order and food is always ready when they say it will be.

Always use this Chinese lovely staff and lovely food I highly recomend the salt and pepper chicken wings and the beef in black bean.

Being a local its nice to have take aways that that are as good as Yeung sing. Their portions are brilliant and the food just tastes amazing. Never had any faults and the pricing is very good.

Have been using this take away for a couple of years now and have never had a bad meal . If they say your food will be ready in fifteen minuets its ready in 15 mins . I have introduced friends and family to the yeung sing and they are all of the same opinion . IT'S THE BEST IN TOWN

This well presented, yet basic exterior paves the way for a somewhat basic interior, but for a takeaway you don't need it to be a song and dance. The place is clean, the foods always hot and the staff are very friendly. When a Chinese takeaway is on the cards, this is one of the first places I think of. It's never disappointed, the good is always nice. Would recommend the chilli beef with soft noodles, or the duck and pancakes; they also do some mean salt and pepper chips! The pricing is good for what you get portion wise too. Great place to go for locals, and for people in holiday in the local area, however the downside is that it doesn't provide a takeaway service which is a shame as I feel they would benefit greatly from having one. Worth a try, would 100% recommend. One of, if not the best in Prestatyn.

On holiday at Presthaven Sands decided we wanted a Chinese Takeaway with being on a self catering holiday we noticed this takeaway when we were doing some shopping at Aldi just around the corner.We telephoned a order in and went to collect as everyone had different it was a big order but at a good price. Everyone said how nicely cooked the food was and piping hot and not much thrown away just a few prawn crackers even the kids finished theres off. If we visit that camp again this will be the takeaway we will got to.
