The vegetable rice was completely bland and tasteless; I’m not even sure if any seasoning was used to flavour the food. Also the chicken ‘wings’ were simply pieces of chicken and not wings. Please season things properly and label things as they are.

I have not received my order I have called the restaurant and they said my post code is to far to do any delivery. I am very disappointed as I have been waiting for my food. Please could you refund me thank you

Decent Pan-Asian food spot worth the money

The chicken balls were still pink inside and the outside was dark to the point of being burnt. The black bean sauce was gloopy and the rice wasn’t too great will not be ordering from here again. First and last time ordering from here.

The special fried rice had a good amount of different meats. We enjoyed the king prawn and vegetable sweet and sour sauce dish the most! We don't normally order chips but we did this time and it was so dry and hard as if it had been cooked hours before and then reheated in an oven. The salt and chilli squid was also too dry and not freshly cooked so wouldn't get these two dishes again.

The food was not as nice as it use to be, it’s a shame. I always use to grab a quick meal box on way home from work thinking of looking for a new place

The 7up bottle was opened and not full. It looked like someone has drank from it. Next time I won't accept something like this. Someone can out drugs into it. This is serious.

To be fair, the food was really nice and deserves 5 stars, but we took off one because on the pad mee and pad thai you put a spoonfull of chilli flakes which tainted them a bit, especially as they didn't show as spicy on the menu. The crispy chicken in satay sauce was delicious, will definitely have that again.

The food arrived very fast and was hot when I got it. I ordered Chicken Pad Thai and mini veg spring rolls, which were delicious, good portions as well. The Pad Thai was probably the best I've had when it comes to take aways, perfect amount of chicken, vegetables, noodles and with chilli flakes on the side. Will definitely be ordering again :)

Eveything was great except the fact that vegetarian and non veg dishes were not labelled at all.

First time ordering as my usual Chinese Ming is Edgware is close Monday and Tuesdays. But thought I’d try something new. Chicken balls were burnt and the chow main had a weird sauce that tasted off. But the chicken satays were ok. It was all greasy. But I have had worse. If your looking for a good Chinese then Ming is your place

We been looking for our favourite Chinese restaurant in the area for a while now. Since yesterday that we found it! We ordered delivery last night and it was absolutely delicious!! We’re definitely going to order again. Friendly delivery man too! Thank youuu 🙏🏻😊

This place was amazing when I first tried it but the last 2 times I’ve ordered it been really poor, salty rice, satay sauce that’s watery and tastes very powdery which was awful. Wasted my money on my dinner this evening!

This is good stuff I will admit. The Singapore fried rice was just the right amount of spicy. I hate prawns, but theirs tasted juicy. Overall, the flavours were varied and surprising.

Food was OK, I paid for chilli oil and only got chilli seeds that was the downfall

The food was delish. However 4 stars for my beef in black bean sauce, the taste was lovely but there was only 5 small pieces of beef and loads of veg. I would have given 5 if it was half and half.

I ordered King Prawns & Veg with Sweet Chili sauce, but instead i received another blunt, tasteless sauce. It wasn’t very tasty, although my partner’s noodles were all right.

Such rude owners and or staff .. called to order food and just asked if it can be a little bit warmer than last time and she said don’t bother calling again and ended the call? So rude so unprofessional and just unpleasant so no waste your energy, time and money!

If I could give this place a zero I would, the customer service is disgusting. Last time we ordered the food was delivered cold so on this occasion when I called I asked kindly if they could make sure the food was a little warmer than last time - she turned around and said don’t call and order if you want to complain … I was so shocked and before I could say anything she ended the call on me… awful service I am appalled. Do not call and order unless you can be bothered to take a earful for no reason. So rude and doesn’t deserve the service from her customers.

Customer service is absolutely poor!! Food is ALWAYS COLDZ AND ORDERS are always wrong. Whoever answers the phone cannot understand a word Of English and cannot understand the orders. I have ordered from this place twice and each time my order was wrong and my food was cold. When I came to order today the lady over the phone was soooo rude she hung up on me. We ordered sweet and spicy fried chicken. I like spice but it was absolutely covered in pepper flakes so I couldn’t eat it without taking most of the the sauce off. Salt and pepper prawns were bland but beautifully cooked. Otherwise good and excellent service

Tried this restaurant for the first time and I'm really impressed, the spring rolls were delicious, the won tonight soup was amazing and the beef chow mein was a good size and scrumptious. Definitely my go to Chinese restaurant from now on!

The food has always been good but for some reason the rice today was so SALTY UNBEARABLE. I called the restaurant and they were very unhelpful. My dinner was completely ruined and I had to throw the rice away. Unfortunately I love yellow river but I will never order again.

Chicken fried rice Chicken chow mein Salt and pepper chicken Prawn crackers - Rice was better than the noodles. Small portion of salt and pepper chicken. Ok overall.

Their Thai dishes are consistently good. Maybe the chef is from Thai?

Very good service. But the food was terrible. I had a Thai green curry and it looked very dark and unlike any I've ever seen in the past. Most of the ingredients were mushrooms, and very little meat. The taste was bland, and it was overly spicy in that way where the food completely loses its flavour.

DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!! Ordered chicken panang curry. It was horrible. Extremely salty and oily, nothing like how curry is meant to be. Threw it away immediately. Store owner blamed my dissatisfaction with the curry on my taste palette.

Salad was hot, like it had been heated in same container as main, instead of kept separate. Thai green curry not authentic or spicy enough, had more of a Chinese sauce look and bland taste. Maybe should stick to Chinese food rather than badly doing Thai.

The only thing is the fish cakes were tiny,oily and bland. Other than that, rest of the food was tasty🙂

Change your Google timings I wasted my time parking in going there with the lady sitting inside but then it says on the door that they're closed and should in the US inside make your Google times match the actual opening times please

Ordered some Chinese and Thai dishes. Very little chicken and vegetables were so overcooked that they had lost all flavour and colour. The Thai red and green curries were terrible and did not taste authentic at all. Finally the delivery driver was a heavy smoker and the bags all smelled of cigarettes. A great way to round off a terrible experience. Contacted Just Eat and got some imbecile telling me he couldn’t do anything. Wasted my money. Never ordering again from Yellow River.

Gorgeously tasty food, highly recommend!!

The food I received was absolutely rotten, the prawn crackers had been there for a while as they were no longer edible and dip they sent to us smelt awful. Definitely the worst Chinese we have had.

The food I ordered was not quite what I expected, and the servings were smaller. The lemon chicken was filled with vegetables, which detracted from the dish; similarly a preponderance of bean shoots in the chow mein (a cheap filler); the chicken balls had very little chicken (I would have preferred either pork or prawn balls) and there were fewer balls than I expected. The crispy duck pancake roll, quite simply, was not a pancake roll. it was crispy duck in a pancake with sauce and vegetables (if I had wanted that, I would have ordered a quarter duck with six pancakes – which is one-third of the price, pro rata). That said the taste was not bad, but Yellow River is far from the best Chinese restaurant I have had in Hendon, however, it was significantly better than the worst in the area. There are other Chinese takeaways that I would use again before Yellow River.
