Ye Olde Tea Rooms in Arun

On a blustery early spring day this place was a haven. Met At the door by Tanya, who was the friendliest person you would wish to meet, a good old fashioned Londoners welcome (one to another). Great carrot cake and proper tea from a pot in a china cup, just like me Muvver used to make. Mum and daughter make a great team. Spotlessly clean, which definitely makes a change from the chain owned establishments that are also in Arundel. What a lovely little gem. Clean, spacious, dog friendly, very warm welcome from staff, lovely service and products. Absolute favourite is the pear and walnut salad.

On our last day before returning to Gatwick, we booked a room at Arundel House. It turned out to be a great little place in town next to everything. Tanya, thank you for your hospitality second to none. We enjoyed meeting you and felt so welcome! The bedroom was cosy and immaculate. Excellent coffee in the morning. It worked out perfectly well for us as we had our plane around midday. We were there in about 1h20 mns. We will come back for sure.

Lovely lunch with a friend, the meal was beautifully cooked, the pastry on the steak was wonderful, the whole meal was great. The staff were very friendly and helpful. My friend and I will certainly be going there again. I would definitely recommend this establishment.

we stopped in for tea and cake. It was very good value and the cake was delicious. I had the walnut coffee cake which i recommend. The ladies were lovely and very friendly.

This beautiful B&B ticks all of the boxes. We were a group of 5 adults & one toddler. The staff couldn’t have been more accommodating and were so welcoming with our little one. The bedrooms are decorated to a high standard and are incredibly clean. The tea room is really pretty with lots of lovely finishes. We had breakfast & lunch and a lovely tea with cake. 10/10 we can’t wait to come back!

We booked 2 rooms for my birthday our bedrooms were lovely and they brought us complimentary Prosecco which was a nice touch.. I can’t praise enough the kindness and service we received we will definitely stay here again . My husband and son did say if there had been bacon and eggs available for breakfast it would have been perfect although I am quite happy with toast and cereal .. see you again soon x

What a fabulous way to spend a Sunday, with friends & enjoying a splendid afternoon tea. The tea rooms are in a central location & have a grand but comfortable decor. So much food was included in the afternoon tea and at such good value for money. The service was great, nothing was too much trouble. We all agreed we really enjoyed it & were so full we had to take our cake home. The scones were freshly made & still warm. Definitely recommend & definitely be back. Thanks for the hospitality x

Peering in through the front windows, it all looks a cut above. We arrived a 3.45 and were told that they were no longer doing food, other than scones/cake. At 4 pm on the dot, the sign was changed to "closed". I do wonder about a tea shop in the centre of a tourist town that closes at 4 pm!

Called in for a coffee only. Ended up having cream tea. The decor is so relaxing. Staff give you a warm welcome. Choice of sandwiches etc and a very good choice of cakes. Thank you for a lovely tea presented beautifully.

We are locals that visit on a regular basis. This warm, friendly, inspiring, comfortable place is ideal. We like good service (which they provide), good food and drinks (which they provide) and an overall ‘special’ feeling of attention. I would recommend highly a trip there.

The food is consistently very good. The selection of loose leaf teas is comprehensive. The staff are attentive and sincerely welcoming. The tearoom itself is delightfully furnished, located in a beautiful building in the centre of Arundel. We have returned several times already and without doubt will visit it again. Highly recommended for both a spontaneous cup of tea and a scone or for more formal get-togethers. I’m pleased to say it’s also dog friendly.
