Popped in for quick snack / lunch, Debbie served me and we had a great catch up. She enthusiastically went through all the events going on at Christmas.

Delicious food with lots of variety on menu, nice quaint/cosy atmosphere. Waiters Debbie and Jason were friendly and very helpful.

Need to learn how to run a bar. Had to walk out after waiting 25 minutes to be served. Clueless bar staff just serving regulars and anyone who shouted first

First visit for a while, thought would try again after a poor experience. Very much improved with efficient service and great value roast dinners, will be back again soon.

Booked for Last Sunday, ate outside and really enjoyed the experience. I had a burger and the wife had a roast dinner both were excellent. Manager was very accommodating with our booking and made sure we were happy with our food and ensured we had a high chair.

Bar staff slow, bar dirty, no glasses. There’s no care taken to clean snd tidy up. People frustrated at the long wait to get served.

Popped in for lunch and a pint, steak sandwich was excellent. Good range of beers and friendly atmosphere. Lovely garden, will be back again to visit soon.

Old traditional country pub in Cheam. Great place, looks stunning outside with flowers / garden and inside doesn’t disappoint either. Lovely team who always look after customers.

Had a late lunch and a few drinks with my Mum and Dad as it was a lovely warm day. Couldn't find fault. Food superb and staff very friendly. A special mention to Debbie behind the bar whose provided first class customer service, even supplying take away boxes for anything we couldn't eat as I'd over ordered. Will definitely be back

I cannot express enough my delight with the Red Lion in Cheam. After a hiatus due to a lackluster atmosphere, I decided to give it another chance, and I'm thrilled that I did. With Jamie, formerly from the Harrow, now at the helm, the change is remarkable. The warmth and welcoming ambiance now rival even the coziest of pubs. It's fantastic to have such a lovely establishment in our village, and it has quickly become a top choice for my friends and me. Each visit is a joyous experience, and I can't thank the team enough for their hospitality. Highly recommended!

Used to have a good lunch menu, specials but no longer, I opted for the sausage and mash which arrived in a bowl type plate, could hardly see any mash as was swimming in gravy which swamped everything, really awful. It came with a very sweet red cabbage and a very sweet pickle which then made the gravy very sweet, managed to eat one of the sausage and mouthfull of mash and just couldn't eat any more. Plates were collected without a word even though the waitress could clearly see that mine had hardly been touched. Should have complained at the time. So was not impressed with staff either.

We came in for dinner with a couple of our friends. I had the chicken and pancetta pie and it was absolutely amazing! I highly recommend to anyone in the local area!

This was our second visit here, the first being a few years ago which I’d forgotten about, but as we arrived to our table the memories came flooding back. The tough beef, ‘roast potatoes’ and soggy veg. As soon as we sat down I started looking at newer reviews as the decor and menu had been updated so I was hopeful the food had also improved. I was sadly mistaken. I had the sirloin beef roast dinner and whilst the meat was passable, the taste and texture made it seem like it was cooked some weeks ago and reheated. The roast potatoes were not roasted. They were boiled, left for a time then possibly grilled or fried? For £16 you can get a significantly better roast dinner in this area. If I were served this at a staff canteen I would have been appreciative but for a meal out at a decent cost it’s actually laughable they can charge for it. The waiting staff don’t even ask how the food was, very telling! Seems like a nice place for a drink but I will not be going for a third time lucky for food. I really don’t understand how such a great pub with so much history is continuing to get the food so wrong! Such a shame.

Second visit here and can’t fault the service. The lady behind the bar gives us a warm greeting and showed us to our booked tables. Oddly the same tables as our first visit. My husband didn’t want the veg choice with his festive pie and I was offered an alternative, immediately without even asking. Drinks bought to our table, with a smile and then came the food - excellent pub food and great portion sizes, our food was a mix of dishes but all well presented and very hot. A great find and my new lunch venue when in the area

This spot is great for some drinks and to catch up with mates. There’s a range of seating available from a more secluded snug area to a more sociable scene around the front bar area.

My expat brother is visiting from the US and wanted a pub lunch. His (award winning) venison pie was really nice and my (award nominated!) sausage and mash was delicious. The beer was good too - as was Debbie who looked after us well.

There is 2 beautiful ladies , Hannah & Debbie .Just the best barmaids ever !.So friendly and so polite . They both went the extra mile to help me as Im very fussy & particular with my food.My lunch was delicious ( toast was bit cold but they re did it and it was perfect sooo delucious Well worth it , & also good prices ..I would go back any day ....I was with my daughter & grandson , they loved their food too. Very good cheif ,thank you to him :-) .& thanks again Debbie & Hannah .. My visit was very relaxed for a lovely evening with a friend. The outside space is a great size and everywhere felt clean and organised. The environment was friendly and the drinks selection was perfect for me.

There were 6 of us who all met up on Sunday for a Bank Holiday drink and a bite to eat at this pub (our local). There were just 4 of us eating. One of the couples ordered a Sunday roast which is meant to come with free top-ups of some past potatoes and Yorkshire puddings. They ordered a Pork and Turkey roast. Myself and my husband ordered Hunters Chicken and Linguine with a side of Chicken Goujons. We could not believe it when the roasts were served. The potatoes were not much bigger than a Malteser and there were probably 6 of these. The mash was 2 tablespoons maximum and the vegetables were also minimalistic. It looked like a child’s portion. Needless to say, we sent it back only to be told there were no roast potatoes or Yorkshire puddings left. Our friend then decided to order some starter plates instead. The cheesy chips they ordered only covered 5 of the chips and were so undercooked my friend could not even squeeze one of her chips. The garlic bread with cheese was literally the tails end of a loaf of bread with a tiny sprinkling of cheese on top. We sent them back and once again could not believe that the so-called chef actually sent it back out cut into soldiers. The linguine was ok but totally lacked any flavour and my Hunters Chicken was just full of sauce. The peas were rock hard and would have been great if I’d had a pea-shooter. Absolutely terrible and the chef did not care about our feedback. We did not pay for any of the food but this is not the point as we were so hungry that we had to eat from a take-away. If you don’t get stung by the extortionate prices for such poor food you will most likely get stung by a wasp from the wasp nest which has been reported to Management time and time again but nothing has been done. Such a shame for such a lovely pub and the fantastic bar staff.

A good range of real ale and real cider in excellent condition, and also a number of decent keg beers and reasonable wine and spirits selection. Food very poor as basically they just buy in frozen pre-cooked food and reheat to a formula. And a friend with allergies had concerns about errors in allergen information on the menu. A nice location and ambience and a good beer garden in the back. Staff were unhelpful and rude. Recommended for a good pint in nice surroundings of a summer eve. But don’t eat there. A pity as this could be a really great pub if they could only upgrade to fresh food and hire a proper chef to cook it. And perhaps a customer service course for the manager …. ?

The Red Lion is one of a few local pubs for us but has become our favourite 1st choice pub. Recently it has suffered with a few not so good managers but that has now been identified and addressed and this was noticeable on today's visit. The staff were friendly, welcoming and helpful when ordering the drinks and nice to talk to. There was a nice little selection of ales to choose from for me and my wife had a nice glass of wine (with a dash of lemonade). We ordered some food and that didn't take long to arrive and was very nice. Overall we had a lovely little visit as we were both off today and it was great to see that the Red Lion is getting back to being the "Go to" pub for a nice socialising visit that we remember it for. Definitely would recommend a visit and check it out. Thank you to Richard for a nice afternoons visit👍

Nice, friendly staff and not too noisy. Let down by the food though. It's inexpensive but clearly you get what you pay for - don't let the menu descriptions raise your hopes!

My wife and I visit this pub quite often and have never been disappointed. On our most recent visit we had dinner and it was delicious, I had the pork belly and my wife had a ribeye steak (unfortunately we didn’t take any photos). Lovely drinks as well, I had a few pints of ghost ship ale and the wife was very pleased with the array of gins available. The staff as always were excellent and attentive to our every need. Thanks guys, keep up the good work and we’ll see you all again soon!!

Firstly the bar staff and waitresses were all polite and helpful. We visited on an early Sunday evening. All roasts were off the menu since 3pm. They had also run out of draught Stella and some choices of red wine, blaming supply chain issues. Have not experienced this at any other establishments in the past few weeks? Due to the limited choice, we ordered four burgers and two fish and chips, quite likely the simplest items to do well on any menu. What arrived raised a lot of eyebrows and in hindsight we should have returned the lot immediately, but we were all starving and had just driven from Wales and it was a hard choice to make. The attached photo needs no words to explain. How anyone can serve this for £11.49 in this day and age is beyond me. We have eaten here several times before under the previous management and the food was always excellent. It just goes to show what a management team can do. This is the first time that we have given a one star review in all the years that we have been on TripAdvisor, but I genuinely think they have nailed it

Popped in for a quick lunch, the staff were lovely, friendly and welcoming as always, ordered the fish and chips and the kids fish and chips. Really big portions and lovely food. Great pub.

Sunday Lunch - one word and that would be describe our experience at Ye Old Lion would be disappointing! Poorly cooked mushy vegetables and the worse cauliflower cheese I have ever been served, it arrived swimming in a milky liquid with some melted cheese over the top of the cauliflower. The vegetarian option was not available and no apologies were made- we just had to deal with it. The quality of roast turkey and rump steak was poor/low quality. Fair to say the food was left on our plates. Apart from the food being disappointing the service was dismal and in particular the male gentleman was rude and unfriendly in his manner. We felt uncomfortable and couldn’t wait to leave. I would avoid this establishment in future.

Revisited this lovely pub after an absence of about 10 years as I had moved out of the area. Not disappointed - all improvements are really in keeping and the heart and soul of the pub remain exactly as was and should be. New garden terrace was delightful. Roast dinner is incredibly reasonable and delicious, with free top ups of Yorkshire’s and roasties. A tad light on the meat but not complaining at this price - similarly priced Sunday roasts in the area just can’t compete with YORL’s offering.Staff were great and friendly and an email that I sent with an enquiry the night before was replied to in person extremely quickly. Special shout out to Mark who was kind and friendly and made us laugh.Can’t wait to come back again….

I booked here based on the great looking menu and also recent excellent reviews. The staff were very friendly and helpful, but the food was very disappinting. One order was missing elements from the dish which were part of why it was ordered, no-one said they had run out of certain good to give the opportuity of choosing something else. The gentleman we spoke to offered a free dessert or glass of wine. My meal was supposed to be a buttermilk crispy coated pork belly with bubble and squeak and crackling crumb. The pork belly was just that, nothung crispy coated and the bubble and squeak eas just skin on mash. The veg was a medly of frozen vegetables. The steaks ordered were cooked as requested, but the quailty was poor, very chewy. We didnt say anything else as we were on the first night out in 18 months and wanted to enjoy it. Such a shame.

A few drinks and a cheeky snack later …… we were made to feel very welcome by Rob and his team, I believe Mark and Luke? We were made to feel very at home. not really sure how it has gone so wrong at this once charming local, I have been in a few times since the end of lockdown last year and it seems to have just gotten worse and worse, which is such a pity as being a group of retired friends this is our social outing I have never written a review before to be honest we are not really big internet users and with pubs being shut for so long I was hesitant to do so, however I feel the owners of this pub need to be made aware before it is too lateThe staff working here seem as they want to be else where, and there is one individual a small lady who is particularly unpleasant almost to the point that it appears she is going out of her way to pick argumentsI am yet to see a manager any Sunday that I have been in, or if I am seeing a manager they do not conduct or dress themselves as oneThe food is appalling, frozen cold mush we originally started visiting the red lion about 2 years ago we came in for our social and the staff where so pleasant a pretty girl with long dark hair and the manager small blonde hair, they encouraged us to come back for Sunday lunch. they even went as far as to help us plan our bus route to and from the pub so we could have a few wines and so we did, After having a great time this became our regular once a month treat, so we are all deeply upset at how this pub is now being run or not run as the case is hereWe will no longer be using the pub and would like to know where the lovely young manager has gone, to the owners get a new manager soon or bring back the old one, you might want to consider smartening up your staff and hiring a cook alsoIf not you might as well go out into the street and burn all the money you have from a very unhappy group of regular guests

What a lovely little pub. I went for a roast dinner on a Sunday lunch time and the service was great. The food was amazing thanks to the chef Helder. Even got extra potatoes and yorkies!

Was my 50th birthday and staff were friendly and always available to order drinks. Food was pre ordered and was amazing and of a good quality. Friend gave them decorations and they kindly decorated our eating area and looked great.

I have to say i totally agree with Jayesephine's review from Fathers Day.The funny thing is, i saw and heard you when you entered the pub explaining to the staff that you had booked with a high chair, as we were sat just inside....also waiting for a high chair for our 1 year old!It did come after about 15 minutes but the staff, bar one, seemed really disinterested and your review sums up the quality of the roast.I had hoped for more as it's a great little local pub with a nice beer garden and i've had a good burger in here once before but the Sunday roast experience was not great.

Booked a table for a lady's 92nd Birthday and first venture out since COVID. Cannot recommend Ye Olde Red Lion enough, staff were amazing and the food was lovely. Will be returning on a regular basis to see that smile on Doreen's face again 🤗

Five of us went to the RL this Sunday for Father’s Day. We had prearranged to have a high chair and a table for five. We were seated at a small table for four, no high chairs available (we had to wait until one became free). We were eventually moved after half an hour to a bigger table (when there were four table’s unoccupied). We had to go looking for the high chair. Another half an hour later our food order was taken. At the same time a tile with another customer’s name was placed on our table (reserved in an hour’s time), This put us under pressure to rush. Our food eventually came. Two steaks were ordered as medium rare, they were both blue. Two roast dinners arrived, half the meal was missing, no crackling, no pigs in blankets, as stated on the menu. There were two tiny pieces of dried up roast beef, the roast potatoes were awful (like aunt bessies in rock form). Our meals were inedible. Now you may think we were just being fussy! No. Two of us at the table are very experienced chefs, one of us having worked for Marcus Wareing. The other person a Masterchef finalist, so we know a thing or two about food and restaurants! We complained and the two steak costs were taken off our bill, which was appreciated- but our afternoon was ruined. We will NEVER EVER go back there to eat again! The RL has seriously gone down hill.

You can tell this used to be a proper boozer. Obviously, it's been super tough for all pubs for years, especially over the last 18 months and it's lovely to see and support this local.The food is average but a necessity for profits, I'm sure. Not bad just bang average.Beers are fine if a little over priced. Brewdog pint was over £6 but tasted lush

Traditional pub. Pleasant beer garden. Friendly staff and efficient app for ordering food and drink delivered to the table quickly. Great tasting food and fresh drinks served quickly. Burger was delicious. Sharing platter of gnocchi and cheese was very nice. Steak sandwich also very good. All in all, comfortable and quiet beet garden. Attentive staff and tasty food. A nice venue. This was a second visit whilst in Cheam for shopping and visiting. Will definitely return. Highly recommended.

We booked a 2 hour slot for dinner. The food was okay. After an hour we were told to leave the table as someone else had booked it. I said my booking was until 8pm which was 2 hours. The lady said that was not guaranteed and they needed the table back. People nearby had been at their tables for much longer and weren’t eating. If we had known we may only have 1 hour to eat and have a few drinks I wouldn’t have booked. It was not long enough. I checked my email confirmation and nowhere does it say we were not guaranteed the 2 hour slot we’d booked. I appreciate times have been difficult and they are busy now pubs have reopened but it’s not nice to be rushed out. We were given another table until the next people arrived but we felt unwelcome.

Such a relief that this pub is back in safe hands. There were real issues with the female manager before around service and mess. Now you don’t have to wait for a drink, being asked even before you’ve finished if you’d like another and the pub is spotless. Hurrah for Darren. Oh, and don’t be worried about the Scottish lady, she’s harmless. Her bark’s bigger than her bite ;)

I arrived at ye olde red lion and on first impressions it was pretty decent. Soon as I stepped into the pub it was a different atmosphere as I was "greeted" by a woman who seemed very much like she had an attitude problem. I believe her name might be Nicola. Small, firm and very angry looking. Overall my evening was decent bar this member of staffs attitude. From the moment I stepped into the pub until the minute I stepped out she was rude. Almost a chip on her shoulder of some sort. The rest of the staff were incredible and Nicola is extremely lucky to have such nice people to carry her.

Roast dinner really nice but why were my 89 year old mother and I forced to sit outside in the cold (we weren’t near the heaters) when tier 2 regulations allow for ‘bubbles’ to eat inside?! We still haven’t warmed up 3 hours later. Shame as I gave you 5 stars last time- I have given 3 stars due to the food being great and the young waitress was lovely so it was a mixed visit!

I had a lovely visit the barmaid with pink hair was delightful the chef in the kitchen made amazing food i especially liked the fishcakes

Wonderful pub ..staff extremely friendly and welcoming ..dog friendly very clean and very organised with social distancing. The food was delicious..very quick to the table and the staff went above and beyond..highly recommend.

Visited the red lion for dinner, was greeted by the deputy manager I think young guy with brown hair ..wonderful service through out , very COVID friendly and great knowledge of the history of the pub. Food was delicious and definitely recommend a visit or 2

There has been a change of management and a noticeable change in atmosphere. What was once a pub where you were made to feel comfortable and at home is now a place where the new manger treats you as if you're the enemy. No smile no hello just a very curt "have you booked a table?". This may just be her way but it makes you want to not be there. The staff don't look very happy now as well - this is no reflection on them but what used to be a bright happy team now looks like a bunch of people not having the best of times at work. It's a real shame to see a place with such a great atmosphere change so quickly. Someone seems to have forgotten they work in the Hospitality industry and sadly they are now running and ruining this once lovely ship.

Not sure where to start here as there was nothing roasted on the plate. Grey chunks of 'beef' covered in a glutinous 'gravy', dried out mashed potatoe, undercooked out of date broccoli, a slice of dead parsnip and a few small boiled potatoes that had been put under the grill to slightly burn one side of them. The cauliflower cheese was undercooked with some cheese grilled on top of it, that was cold and hard and tasted vile. We went with friends who had previously had a good meal there, so not sure what has changed. Service was hit and miss (allowing for covid restrictions) and no one asked us how our meal was, possibly because they knew the answer. Avoid.

We had veggie and pork roasts respectively and both were great. Well organised given the current situation and meal was good value.

If you want a poor quality Sunday lunch straight out of a microwave then this is the place for you! Staff were fine but the meal was awful so we definitely won’t be returning for food, which is a shame as it’s quite a nice setting.

Choices continue as does the quality of food and service. Happily recommend this pub for a relaxed atmosphere and good food.

Fabulous service and food, child friendly and able to assist us with our dietary requirements. Debbie especially was superb, super attentive and friendly. Brilliant vegan/ vegetarian options. Sunday lunch enjoyed by all. Would highly recommend and will most certainly come again.

We booked a table for drinks, there was a mix up over the booking however the staff deal with it professionally and managed to accommodate us which was really appreciated, especially under the circumstances and restrictions they are currently working with. Daisy was a breath of fresh air with her humour and customer service. Will definitely be visiting again.

This is the first pub I have visited since lockdown was eased. Wow. Felt safe! It was so well managed /organised it was brilliant. You had to be waited to be seated and they have a one way system in place. The staff were amazing and great service. They have an app so you can offer drinks/food and have table service! Table service in a pub! I like that a lot ! Now that is a positive! No hassle. They also had am outdoor bar which is a nice touch. Thank you. It was a brilliant safe visit.

Myself and my 2 sons visited this lovely pub for lunch on 21/07/20. It was our first outing out since lockdown. Both my children were slightly nervous to go out initially but on arriving at the red lion relaxed completely. The staff went above and beyond to make myself and my children feel safe and very welcome. It was lovely. It was also so reassuring to see the steps taken to ensure the safety of everyone. Our lunch was great and the service was quick and safe. It actually made a nice change to get table service in a pub. We stayed for some time after our lunch as my sons were enjoying being out finally. I would defiantly recommend going here to anyone that may still be slightly apprehensive about going out again. I couldn’t fault anything.

Me and a few friends came to this pub for our first pub drink after lockdown and our experience was brilliant. We sat in the garden and was served by Daisy on the outside bar who made us feel very welcome and comfortable! Drinks were delicious and the atmosphere was lovely, so all we could ask for really. We will definitely be returning throughout summer

My friends & I visited this pub last week for a get together, it’s so nice!! We loved the outside bar and the whole vibe. The staff member on the outside bar (Daisy?) was so chatty and funny, shout out to her because she made us feel so safe and comfortable. Will definitely be returning, hoping Daisy is there!

Went out to dinner with friends for the first time since lockdown and had a great evening. The pub has clear procedures in place; one way system inside, tables removed, well trained staff and a number of options to order food/drinks and pay. I downloaded the app on my phone which was simple to use and meant our order was brought directly to our table. The food was great, the staff friendly and we all had an enjoyable, safe evening. Added bonus of 50% off of our food bill due to their latest offer. If you fancy an evening out, without worry would highly recommend you pop along. Great job Erin and team.... we will be back

We had a great evening out with our friends and a really yummy meal. The pub is very well organized for social distancing with professional and friendly staff. Lovely atmosphere in a safe environment and we also took advantage of the 50% off food deal, bonus! We’ll be back soon

I was so pleasantly surprised when we arrived at the pub last weekend. Erin and the team had done a fantastic job and obviously put in a huge amount of work to ensure the social distancing measures were in place. I told my friends and partner before we went that if I felt the slightest bit uncomfortable I would be leaving but in fact I felt totally safe and had a lovely evening. Well done, Erin! xx

I’m an ex local and returned to the area for a long awaited lunch with family we’ve missed through lockdown.I admit I was a bit apprehensive but we had a wonderful lunch. Had a lovely meal tonight on day 2 after the easing of lockdown.Staff really helpful friendly and excellent service. Clearly well organised by landlady Errin felt structured and safe. We will be back soon..thank you and the team for all your efforts.

Amazing chicken and crispy bacon salad. The chef Helder is an absolute diamond! I visit this pub quite regularly both for business and pleasure and if Helder is working I know the food will be particularly good!Definitely recommend - well worth a visit (or 3)!!! Lovely atmosphere

Always come to the red lion for a nice relaxing drink and a bit of grub when hungry! Came in today for my 29th birthday and received excellent customer service with a smile and manners! Daisy and Louise are an asset to the establishment!

We now consider that this is the best bub in cheam for food and drink. Often have a Sunday roast or a mid week drink and never disappointed in this lovely character setting. Friendly staff with a special mention for Rob who is always attentive and helpful.

Visited on Friday, I was welcomed by 2 lovely friendly girls, one of them was called Daisy... they were so helpful and welcoming. Good selection of gins and a very friendly atmosphere. Great little village pub!

Me and my wife popped in for Sunday lunch today, the food was amazing, staff were very helpful didn’t have to wait long for the food. Also Louise was very helpful with the gin selection as you have so many my wife struggled to pick but the young lady was very helpful and knew a lot about Gin. Will definitely be back.

Always love the atmosphere, drinks are made beautifully but unfortunately felt like the food was sourced from low quality frozen aisles. I’ve eaten here few times over the years and always felt if they just upped their food game they would be onto a winner.

My husband and I had such a lovely evening, so much effort had been put into the decoration to make it extra special. Thanks so much to Mark (hope thats his name!) for great service, and to Helder for great food.

We had a lovely Valentine meal here last night. We found the staff attentive and service with a smile. The food was delicious and portions just right. It wasn't rushed and we didn't have to wait long between courses which was really nice and relaxed. The atmosphere was lovely and found that the music was gentle in the background. Looking forward to returning in a few weeks time for their pie night

Came last night after winning a meal for 2 in their Facebook competition, had a lovely night with great food and great service. We were made to feel very special.Ye olde red lion has become our favourite place to go, in fact have already booked a table for us and friends for this Thursday!They do a lot for the local community, I loved the Christmas donations for the local people in need and regularly enjoy (and win) their weekly quiz night.The team have put alot of effort in since taking over, and we love coming here.

Just returned from a wonderful valentine's day meal at this olde worlde pub. We started off with complimentary fizz. The grub was great value and plentiful. The staff were very attentive. When we left the pub I got a red rose. Thank you, Chris and Caroline Nickerson

A friendly, comfortable and unpretentious pub. Good pub grub (the steak and kidney suet pudding is particularly tasty) at very reasonable prices, and well kept beers. We'll be back!

I made a last minute booking for sunday lunch for me, my husband, mother, 7 year old daughter and our cockapoo dog after we were badly let down by another pub in Epsom.

First time I'd been in after about 10 years at least. It still has it's Olde Worlde charm with oak beamed ceilings. We ordered a couple of drinks from a very nice young barmaid who was very polite & helpful. The Chenin Blanc was excellent value & friend enjoyed her Pink Gin. We ordered a couple of very reasonably price mains at £6 each - Scampi peas & chips & a Smothered Chicken & were told 30-45 minute wait even though they didn't look busy. We were pleasantly surprised when our meals were served within the 30 minutes & were both very enjoyable. Nice pub, Nice Staff & Nice Food. We will be back soon. BTW Only £2.95 for a pint on a Monday Unbelievable!

Visited sun 12/01/20 about 4pm, more like cruffs than a pub, noisy from barking, smelly from sweaty dogs and their owners, one bar staff serving, peroni very poor quality given the price, can't sit in peace without a bloody dog coming upto you sniffing, owners not much better at controlling their muts, get it sorted

We finally visited the red lion on sunday as we often park nearby when we grab some naughty fried chicken from the takeaway close by and the smell of food coming from the red lion is so delicious that we often regret our choice so this time we popped in to try it.

We just went for steak and had 2 steak and chips with a side portion of southern fried chicken goujons. I had a medium rare and the missus had a medium.

We went along to the Breakfast with Santa event this morning and it was just lovely. So much effort had been put in to making it a special experience for the kids from a postbox where you could send letters to the North Pole to a lovely (free!) present for each child. Thank you so much.
