I was just passing through this area on the way to a football game and called in for a lunch time special, it was good value, the place is clean and tidy and the staff are friendly. Parking is available outside the shop , all good.

I purchased today a Child's fish and chips also a burger bun. The Child's fish had bones in it, when I told them they said fish has bones no apology or replacement , also I took the burger back as it was dripping with fat and it was all over my trousers , no apology or replacement. This made a change as often we get hairs in the food !!!

The jumbo haddock, when available, is massive. My chippy of choice in grimsby .

Best chippy in town by far i walk 20 minutes there and 20 minutes back for there food have used them since when they was down park street lovely people lovely food crinkle chips are lovely but i prefer the straight cut ones

Avoid this chippy at all cost last four times I had a delivery fish has been absolutely rank pay a tenner then just throw it in the bin never again

A long wait sometimes & they always let me know how long approximately. The food was piping hot & the fish was always fresh & delivered by a cheerful driver.

Fabulous fish and chip shop, especially when we pre order, 60+ fish and chips to take away, they have never let us down yet and spot on with time and pricing when we collect

It is a nice Chippy, annoying thing is that there is only 1 girl serving and doing the online customers so you could be waiting a good half hour, get someone in to do the orders on line, ( good idea or not).

This place is a lovely chippy and the staff are very fast and professional. The fish in here is second to none, it's fried to perfection and is that fresh it's nearly wriggling! The menu's are unbelievable. You can get sweet and sour chicken, fried pineapple fritters Battered sausages , chicken Don't, leg and breast. You can get lunch deals.chip buns a pound, bacon, burger, fish finger buns all a pound. Fish cake,2 sausages in a bun veggie burger a pound. Sausage egg and chips, 2 eggs and chips battered burger and chips, jumbo sausage and chips , small Donner meat and chips all 2 pounds each. Spam fritters, black pudding fried. There's something for everyone. We often have a delivery 2 or 3 times a week. We have a medium haddock and chips regularly. But be warned don't order a large fish as we can't eat one that big?They sell scampi and skate. The address is 164 Yarborough Road Grimsby.

Had skate. Well cooked. Staff friendly and helpful. Atmosphere? It's a chip shop, doesn't really apply. If not THE best, then one of the two or three best fish and chip shops in Grimsby. Highly recommended.

usually enjoy luncheon meat fritter chips and peas from here what a let down it was today chips a bit anemic. on removing some of the overcooked batter the fritter itself was over cooked burnt and hard round the edges not up to usual standard have took picture but no where to post

Placed an order after a recommendation. The lady on the phone was really pleasant, quick and knowledgeable about all the products. I booked the delivery for a certain time early evening. It arrived exactly as promised...obviously cooked fresh to order. Fabulous portions, hot, and a real treat. GET ORDERING FOLKS!

I have been working all day So I thought I would treat the wife and I to some fish and chips. So I spent £17 on two jumbo fish Two lots of chips curry sauce and peas The fish was obviously frozen it was watery and tasteless. The batter was disgusting slop. The chips where soggy and not very many. The peas and curry sauce were ok This is the first time ever that I have put a review on anything. I am highly disappointed. I might as well have flushed £17 down the loo

Staying in Grimsby with work for the first time, so I though it would be rude not to have fish and chips. Found this one a short distance from where I was staying. I was a bit perturbed by the fact that they didn't do cod at all, but it was explained to me that Grimsby locals don't eat cod. So, when in Rome! A choice of three sizes of haddock, served with crinkle cut chips. One of the best plates of fish and chips I have ever had! The fish could not have been fresher or tastier, big creamy flakes of meat. Absolutely superb! My only regret is that I didn't go sooner on in my stay, I could have honestly eaten these all week! Thank you!

I use this chippie regularly. It's a very busy place so expect a queue. The staff are always chatty and the food is always freshly cooked rather than sitting around. You will be asked if you require fish frying while in the queue so it is ready for you when you get to the till. Expect a wait on a Saturday as the queue is usually out of the door like all good chippies. Never had a problem

A great chippy that is right on my doorstep. I love it here, its busy at times, really busy, but in my book that can only be seen as a good thing. I don't mind queueing up knowing how good the reward is at the end, delicious fish & chips. Crinkle cut chips, nom nom nom 😋very reasonably priced & good portion sizes.

Been out the country for the last 7 months and fish and chips was all I wanted on my return.. Usually go to cleethropes for this but decided to go here this time as it was on my way back to the house. Absolutely awesome, massive portion and was really tasty. The haddock was delicious and definitely fresh. 10/10

Definately the best fish and chips in town,,crinkley chips,,,fish exactly how you like it,,,they ask you as you get closer to the counter what would like and how would you like it done,,,me and my wife personally like it lighty fried 2mins each side( because its not deep fat frier} and lightly battered absolutely perfect every time we go which is normally Friday evening.Got to mention the staff ,,they are like the fish and chips perfect.

Yarborough road Fisheries is a nice fish and chips takeaway on Yarborough road Grimsby. A nice clean and well lit shop with friendly staff. I'd love to describe the menu but they don't have one to speak of here, so I can only mention what I saw,Fish and chips obviously, sausage, pies,peas, curry sauce, the fish coming in various sizes and priced accordingly,I guess that they sell all the fish and chip shop staples. It has an assortment of specials which include pineapple fritters, sweet and sour chicken and chicken curry which both come with rice. It has reasonable wheelchair access, but assistance might be necessary as there's a step in doorway, there's parking space outside on the forecourt. I believe that it's cash only here. They have a 5***** food hygiene rating. Food review Nov 2018. I ordered a large fillet of haddock chips and peas. The chips are crinkle cut here ( it's been awhile since I've seen these ) and they were decent sized portion, these were a little soft for me,but I know some people prefer their chips like this. The fish was a decent sized fillet with nice crispy batter and a white colour but unfortunately it didn't taste of much even with help from Mr Salt & Mr Vinegar which was a bit of a shame. Having said this,given the portion size and the price of £6.10 it was still pretty good and a very reasonably priced meal.

Customer service does not exist. Baseball hats pulled down over all staffs eyes. No speaking to customers. Always wait 15/20 mins for food. Staff stay in back talking among there selves while customers . Well just wait. No conversation. . They close early. And basically. It's just crap. Could not tell u what any member of staff looks like. It's the worst ever.

I have to come back to Grimsby from Manchester to get some decent fish and chips - the fish and chips here are fantastic the service is great and the prices are tiny. BEST CHIPPE EVER !!
