Yangtze Express in Belfast

Customer service?! 🤪 Talk about rude! Not only did the person who served rush everybody along at lightning speed, she also gave small portions for food. My medium box was only 3/4 filled and when I asked her to fill it she said it was enough, despite everyone else’s boxes being filled. The other server put a few extra bits of chicken in but the service was horrendous. The lady behind me in the queue said that the server who wouldn’t add more always gives terrible customer service. Paying £7.50 for the box I got seemed like an absolute rip off, and the customer service (or lack of it) made for a terrible experience.

Had a delivery on just eat.it is a lot dearer than calling into it in castle court belfast.the caramel chicken was very fatty plus there was not a lot of it but there was a mountain of noodles.i paid £24 for 2 carmel chicken 1 with rice and 1 with noodles.im very disappointed with it i wont order again.

Lunch was good value for money the food a bit on the cold side this was the only criticism. Staff were very efficient and pleasent. Choice was good. Would return again.

Este es el Castlecourt Yangtze. Es una mala noticia porque han dejado de servir langostinos con sal y guindilla y calamares con sal y guindilla. Estas opciones se encuentran entre los pocos platos cocinados relativamente frescos y aquí fueron excepcionalmente buenos. Qué lástima que hayan decidido, en cambio, depender de alimentos precocinados que pueden permanecer en el baño María durante horas. Pasé a las 11 am una mañana de un día laborable una vez que el cierre comenzó a levantarse y ya había una exhibición completa de platos cocinados. El centro estaba bastante vacío y me imaginé que parte de la comida todavía estaría cazando furtivamente a la 1 de la tarde. No, gracias. El personal joven siempre ha sido en su mayoría un grupo hosco, sin charlas ociosas, sin disparar la brisa y una sonrisa es rara, tal vez cultural. También tienen un registro para cobrar por la comida para llevar cuando el impuesto a las bolsas de plástico no se aplica a la comida caliente (todavía, pero lo hará a partir de abril de 2021). Los precios aquí han aumentado de manera constante en los últimos años y, con la desaparición de los platos anteriores, encuentro que queda poco que sea atractivo. Me alegro de que haya un restaurante japonés justo al lado también, que será mi nuevo destino.

El pollo estaba duro y no masticable y tampoco obtienes mucha salsa de curry en tu pedido. Muy seco. .

me and my friend had went to castle court to go shopping and we had decided we were going to get a castle court chinese but to be let down by the small business as the time opening were very inconvenient and inconsiderate this has left me and my friend very distraught to say the least we had to wait another 40 minutes for it to open

Quick service and fresh food. Food tasted lovely and priced decently. Had to come back again the next day for more! 10/10 would recommend

I was at the Chinese counter at Castle Court earlier and I asked for Box A and a diet coke. The lady behind the counter gave me Box C and a diet coke. I gave the lady £10 and I would get £4 back but I got £2.20 back instead. I would definitely not go back there again.

Fabulous lunch with a little bit of everything chicken and veggie with rice and noodles and chips and sauce. Delish

Food is ok and reasonably enough priced but totally ignorant staff make this an experience best avoided

Firstly the staff could be more friendly. It's very hard to talk to the staff. They could have had a better variety of food but anyway, I ordered the chicken in black bean sauce. The portion was way too big. However it was quite nice and it was reasonably priced. This place deserves a 2.5 but since i'm feeling generous i'm giving it a 3.

this is a nice chinese but not as nice the origin buffet outside the connswater complex. food has been sitting for while at times. i get sometimes there chicken noodles and its cooked fresh and is delicious. there food from the front is lovely too. it can be sometimes cold. you need to go there at a certain time of the day to get nice food from here. if your big chinese lover the boxs you can get filled with food is nice. i love the 4 box of chicken curry, noodles, chips and spicy chicken

Food has obviously been sitting for hours, have to say was warm but couldn't even bite into the chicken, noodles were hard, not good at all

The food was not up to standards for Chinese cuisine , a fast food on the go to attract the masses on hunger . The portions are limited when you buy the top of the containers and the food isn't as fresh as you expect . It's fine when you want a quick meal , but this is not real Chinese cuisine as it should be .

There are two Yangtze Express food stalls that I'm aware of - one in Castlecourt, and the other in Connswater. I've been to the one in Castlecourt a number of times, and they offer a reasonable selection of Chinese food that would probably suit most tastes. The chicken in the chicken curry is a bit processed, but that's to be expected. The food Yangtze seems to be replaced on a regular basis as it is always quite busy when I visit Castlecourt, so it should be fresh enough! The quality of the food is in par with most Chinese buffets - not that acceptable if you were dining in a restaurant, but acceptable if you expect such to have such food. I think Yangtze is great if you're in the mood for some rice and noodles with some curry sauce over it. That's really all I go for if I'm a bit peckish but not in the mood for a meal.

The portions are small for what you pay. Depending on the time of day you decide to eat, the food from lunch is still served well into the afternoon. The salted chilli chicken i got was cold and hard as it had been keep from lunch time and i was there at 3.30pm. The staff are hard to talk to and understand. I will not be back and eould not recommend it.
