Yang Sing in West Lothian

Poor service since change of hands few years ago. Mistaken orders not once or twice but regularly.quaulity of meals has dropped since old owners sold up as well. Update change of ownership 2023 has seen vast improvement in service and quality of goods served.

Best for far Asian Munchy Box, everything fresh,crispy and perfectly cooked. Satay and sweet n sour sauce amazing!!

Have eaten from this take away for a long time. Tonight my husband and I ordered 2x sweet and sour chicken Cantonese style. My meal had hardly any sweet and sour sauce, no vegetables, only pineapple, in effect it looked like chicken nuggets with a dribble of sauce. My husband had lots of onions a full carton of sweet and sour sauce and no pineapple. My son also ordered the same meal 5 mins. Later and has experienced the same problem as me... no sauce. In effect not enough sauce to mix with the boiled rice. Phoned up to be told there's a new chef... maybe he needs a word in his ear?

Always a very pleasant welcome. Staff assist in helping if choosing a happy meal deal. Prices on par with the rest of the area with food quality being much higher. Cash only is a slight draw back and can't seem to find on any online systems for delivery unless you phone direct to shop. However ample parking outside to do collections.

The last time I got food it was not very good

Phoned order at 1745. Told would take 10/15 minutes. Arrived in shop at 18.15, started to get busy. Lots of delivery orders going out. People came in placed order and were served before me. Asked at 18.45 what was happening. Told busy , told yes, but would only be 5 mins. At 19.10 asked again what was happening as people had come and gone, that placed order after me. Came back and asked if I had paid told yes, then told that they had lost receipt. It would be 5 mins. Got home and it was obvious it had been done in a hurry. There was no chicken in the .unchy box, the XO noodle was mixed meat not the chicken ordered, there were very little onion or chilli in mun by box, it has S/S sauce not the BBQ ordered. Nothing by way of apology. It appears a waste of time phoning in order as receipt only goes to kitchen after payment. Certainly won't be back!

Had a beautiful Lemon Chicken dish with sweet & sour sauce, then Char Sui with mushrooms and other vegetables, and Soft Noodles, and free Prawn Crackers. It is one of the best Chinese meals we have ever had. We will be back - beautifully cooked and so very tasty. The variety of meals is astounding, with lots of different choices to suit everyone. We highly recommend Yang Sing in Deans, Livingston. Fast service to top it off. We have had Chinese meals all over UK and in Europe, but this is one of the best Chinese meals we have ever tasted.

Despite arriving on time to collect the order, was kept waiting for 30 mins. Meal was cold, dry and tasteless. Definitely not worth the £13.20 for congealed rice, dry Char sui and soggy crispy beef. It was thrown out. Dreadful.

Ordered over the phone and was told 15 minutes. Got to the takeaway and waited another half an hour and when I got home, a three minute drive, found that the meal was cool at best. Very disappointed

Poor service. Asked for a beef satay with no peppers got giving a chicken satay with peppers. Took it back down and asked for a refund and a fresh order for them to try an charge me again. Wont be back thats for sure.

Cant beat the yang sing and their chips/fried rice/barbecue or curry sauce all in one for a tasty stomach filler. Only £3.30 as well. Ya dancer.

Food was fab especially the salt and pepper chicken. Only down side was unable to pay by card. Most people don’t carry cash especially due to covid and having to go out to a cash machine for me defeats the point of a home delivery.

Called in on Xmas eve to get dinner as my work let us away early. They advised about a hour for delivery. This was bad I was hank Marvin! So we waited and when I called back a hour and 40 minutes later they told me it was the next one to leave. So this will be the last time I place an order at the yang sing Livingston. It's a shame as I've been going there for over 20 years.

Food is OK, but sauces not to great

Food has really gone downhill - this used to be our favourite Chinese. We hadn't had a takeaway for a while so thought it would be a nice change. My partner had Beef Curry which was OK. I had Shredded Beef in Chilli Sauce which was terrible. It tasted nice but there was less that 1/2" of sauce in the bottom of the tray. It wasn't even enough to coat the rice so I ended up having to leave most of it. Won't be rushing back.

I come from Asia. This is my favourite take away in Livingston. Other chinese take away taste awful. I have to drive 20 minutes from my house to buy the food.

Great food but delivery takes too long won't be using them anymore.

Me and my friends were having a sleepover and decided to order a Chinese from our favourite Chinese place. We waited for an whole 1hr and more and we are currently sitting in my friends room and it still hasn’t came.

Chicken toast tasted of fried bread delivery was terrible waited over 1hr for it used love Yang sing but not now, meal was cold disappointed in service would not recommend and will not be ordering from them again lost me as a customer

tastiest chinese I have ever had anywhere, but service is terrible and they shut when they feel like. if they tell you 20 minutes, expect 45 is about normal.

Order was wrong and manager was very rude, said I could put my meal in the microwave or oven whilst I wait for the fried rice. Lucky to even get 1 star as I couldn't select zero 😠

Nicest Chinese takeaway I've used.

Cantonese chicken with chicken fried rice & chips Chips looked a week old we're soggy and obviously reheated more than once. Cantonese chicken was hard and sauce was like gluey goop no flavour except an overpowering store bought like sauce. Chicken fried rice was ok except the main feature of the dish... the chicken was hard and tasted like a microwaved meal.
