Yamu Yamu in Worthing

Went here with some family and had a lovely evening, with some great tasty food. As it is lots of small plates you can try lots of different thing, however that can get a bit expensive, so be careful. Very happy to revisit and to recommend.

First time visit. Excellent food and fusion of flavours. Staff attentive and welcoming. We will definitely be back. Little gem

Had heard lots of good things about this place. We visited on a Friday evening and it was about a third full when we arrived. We waited a while to be served and found the menu quite difficult to read as it was printed on blue paper and the light wasn’t fantastic. We ordered several dishes to get a sample of as many tastes as possible. We enjoyed most of them but were disappointed with the Roasted Miso Cod, the flavours did not complement the cod which was cooked well. Another disappointment was the Chicken Katsu Curry. No where did it mention that the chicken would be coated - again it spoilt the wonderful flavours of the dish. We went on to order desserts, both chocolate brownie and apple crumbo did not disappoint. To finish we had Ile four plum sake - to die for. The finale did not disappoint- Miso Margarita- exceptional. Towards the end of our meal the restaurant was filling up and became very noisy and virtually impossible to have a conversation.

First time at Yamu Yamu and it certainly won’t be the last! Fabulous food, fabulous flavours and a warm and welcoming atmosphere! We were celebrating a good friends birthday, never having tried Japanese cuisine before, I can confidently say that every one of us were delighted with the food, the service and also the Sake & Japanese whiskey! Highly recommend this restaurant, definitely one of the best in Worthing.

My absolute favourite food. We had a child free evening and there was no question that we wanted to come here. Everything is delicious, the flavours are amazing, the staff are lovely, the decor is cute and the atmosphere is buzzy. Love this place and everything they do. Can't recommend highly enough.

Fabulous lunch at yamu yamu today. Great place to go for either a quick bite to eat or a longer leisurely lunch with family or friends. Food absolutely incredible, tried the mac and kimchi, it was so good. Also recommend the teriyaki fries and the Korean fried chicken bao bun.

The most amazing East Asian inspired food, that tasted sublime! Service, quality of produce and the presentation was first class. Sorry, no pictures as thr food went down too quickly! 😋

Excellent menu with great variety, was quite hard to decide what NOT to order. Food came quickly and was absolutely delicious, especially the katsu curry but also the miso cod and, of course, the bao buns. Really great place - was quieter than it should be for such a tasty and good value venue.

Great find….we was a bit cramped on the tiny table but still a great night. I think we’ll book next time…

Part of a week in Worthing. The best meal we ate. Every one of the 6 dishes we ate (2 each plus 2 shared ‐ wife is vegetarian) was delightful. Very fresh and very tasty. Tapas‐style of dishes coming when they come was not an issue. 6 dishes meant we did not need dessert. Lovely, friendly staff and good tunes also. Just brilliant!

What a great find. We went for dinner on a Wednesday evening, the restaurant was quite busy with a real buzzing vibe. The staff greeted us with a friendly smile. They explained the menu and offered to help if we couldn't decide on what to choose but it was so easy. We chose various dishes to share my favourite being the Katsu Chicken and thankfully only ordered a small portion as this was more than enough and soooo delicious as were all of our dishes. The price was more than reasonable too. We shall definitely return to this little gem and will recommend to all our friends and family.

The service was appalling. We asked for a VAT receipt and we were told it would take 10 minutes. We waited and they forgot. 15 minutes we reminded them and they said it would be 10 minutes again. 10 minutes later the manager came with no apology, was super rude and totally disrespected us as customers.
