Ya Souvlaki in Cardiff

Finally got a chance to try their “wrap” after seeing pics on my IG! Ordered: Chicken Souvlaki Pitta Wrap. Comes with a few fries on top of the wrap. My god!! Mouth watering, full of flavour and taste!!!! The fries tasted sooo good too ! Went well when eat the both together! Great value of money too - £5.95 ! Was absolutely stuffed after demolishing the wrap! Did not disappoint me at all and would come back and try others! I wanted to order Pork, but they had ran out . So I chose the chicken option .

Juicy, fresh, aromatic, spiced-up, soft, tasty pork gyros, wrapped in a traditional crispy pita bread Made in Greece, with tomatoes, onions, fries and their signature-garlic sauce (tzatziki )! Ya Souvlaki is a Cardiff-based gyros/street-food shop, that I was happily recommended to visit. It is in the Cardiff's market, at the heart of the citty centre and I took a couple of friends there last week for a very filling and tasty lunch, like no other. As a business owner the past 12 years, I have travelled a lot around the Country and tried a lot of street food, from Thai, to Chinese but mainly Greek and I can say with great certainty, that Ya Souvlaki is the top of its kind in the UK, according to my experience. If you plan to visit Cardiff, this place is a no-brainer and I am sure that you will go back after your first visit, like I did!

I read a review on one of the top chefs, launching a new market stall in Cardiff last night and decided to pay them a visit today. The market was buzzing, and I was very hungry to find this place. I will have to say we luckily got there before the queue started. As you can see, we had, the chicken Slovakia and the beef Slovakia. They both did not disappoint. The food was fresh and well presented. I can’t wait to go back to taste some of the other wraps. I would definitely recommend.

The chicken souvlaki was very tasty and filling. Good value. Chicken was good quality and the pitta bread very tadty. The fries had an amazing herb seasoning. We didn’t realise the souvlaki had froesand wouldn’t have ordered an exra portio had we known. The fries are very tasty- but they should ask before adding the tatziki to them as it spoiled them. Lovely food- would return- owner/ guy who ran it could have been a bit friendlier

For only £6 enjoyed a nice pita wrap with chips. Choose your meat, I went for the halloumi and it was delicious! A very filling portion and after walking the entire market would argue the best value in the entire place. Fried while I waited, nice and freshly made. Was able to customize to your taste as they make it for you while you wait. Friendly staff and can use credit or cash. No seating available, but nicely wrapped and easy to eat while you browse the shops or walk the streets.

This place is a great new addition to the market, bringing quick and tasty food to the scene. A great lunch spot for sure.

This was the best souvlaki I have ever had outside of Greece and definitely better than the ones you get in Athens. Big portion, all the ingredients used are of high quality, very tasty overall. Highly recommended!!!

This souvlaki beats most in Athens or Thessaloniki. Highly recommend it. The guy who owns it is super friendly the location great but the best of all is the the quality of the meat. Wicked fries too

Wonderful food and a great price...chicken souvlaki pita, side of fries and a can of drink £9.95. The food was excellent, really fresh and really tasty. Would eat here over most places in town if I want a quick bite to eat and takeaway with me. The staff were really friendly and even though they were really busy they were very helpful and considerate with every customer, top marks ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

My daughter messaged me a link to a Wales Online article featuring Ya Souvlaki. It was relevant because we both LOVE Greek food plus I’m off to Corfu next month. “This place looks amazing”she said!! I found myself in the City Centre with my Son in Law on Match day and when he said let’s grab a bite I knew the perfect spot. It was a Saturday morning and the Market was bustling with people and at first it took a while to find but if you enter the Market via St Mary Street it’s on the left hand side in the middle - the Greek flag 🇬🇷 sticks out like a foodie beacon. This is a grab and go fast food stand ,although there are several stools outside you could take the weight off but they were occupied which is a good sign as it was only half ten in the morning. We were greeted with a smile and after a brief tour of the menu by our host we placed our orders. Watching them work you can see the passion and love that they have for their food. Each individual element has been elevated which creates a truly mouthwatering end result. Two Chicken Gyros and one drink came to £12.90 which represented really good value My Son in Law said “Oh My God - you know it’s good as we haven’t talked for a while!!” The pitta was soft and along with the Tzatziki everything danced in your mouth This really is a great find and a fantastic addition to Cardiff that everyone should try !!!
