Popped in for a drink and to watch the rugby the staff couldn’t be more helpful putting the Wigan v St Helens game on in a side room for us and came to have a chat with us about the game, really friendly atmosphere, we will definitely be coming back to the pub to try the food

One of the friendliest and cleanest pubs I’ve ever been to. The food has fantastic and the dessert was fabulous. The pint of lager was lovely with the froth sticking to the side of the glass from top to bottom, a sign of a great pint. My teenage kids were occupied throughout by a few games of pool in the pool room that has an Alexa device to choose whatever music they wanted. We’ll be definitely going back in the near future.

Very clean, lovely decor. All staff very friendly. Unfortunately the food was a big let down.. do not order the fish & chips! It is a cheap frozen fish straight out of a cardboard box out of the freezer! Shocking that this day and age this is served, needs to be made clear on the menu that it is a supermarket frozen fish deep fried! It was just beyond belief! Maybe a pub to go in for just a drink!

We popped in for a much needed drink or 3 after a long morning exploring in Anglessey. The place itself was warm and welcoming, the atmosphere was amazing and the locals having a sing song were great to listen to. The bar lady was so friendly and chatty. Lovely experience :)

Tried this place as we were staying nearby and needed a quick lunch prior to checking in. Free car park opposite. Had a look at previous reviews. This place is immaculately clean, everywhere. We had a light lunch which was fresh and great value for money. There was a variety of options for all tastes and appetites. Good choice at the bar and good to see locals using it. Highly recommend. Whoever runs this deserves your business if you're in the area. Oh and 'socket-gate' beggars belief !

We visited for a few drinks in the afternoon as we were staying in Brynsiencyn. This is a great pub with a lovely atmosphere. We ended staying longer than intended as we has such a great time here. The place is very clean and toilets were spotless. We did not eat here but the food looked nice. The landlord was very welcoming and would have visited again if we had stayed longer. Diolch

Lovely pub, food was hot and home cooked. Beer in bottles only but good choice and kept well. Good prices for food, nice clean friendly pub. Dogs welcome, would definitely recommend to others.

Group of us went here after an evening on the Menai Straits, great pub and a very friendly landlord. Enjoyed a few beers, pizza and chips, atmosphere service and food all really good. Will definitely go back

No ales on tap only bottles under, cooked jacket potatoe … and packet pizza, polite staff but would not say very welcoming will not be returning on our next visit to the area

We had a warm welcome at Y Groeslon. Nice selection of beer, larger and ciders. There was a good choice on the food menu, and when our food arrived it was nicely presented and enjoyed by all.

After reading the reviews we just had to go and find out for ourselves and as previously stated this is a psychopath free zone. Food was lovely and the atmosphere in the pub was welcoming; probably helped by the rugby match on! This would be a place we’d definitely come back to next time we come to the lovely Anglesey.

We came here after reading about the management who had been deemed to be on the edge. In a review they had responded to (see further down the reviews about three ago) a customer had described being berated by the management for using the wrong plug. Even better in the response the management had continued to have a go at the customer saying that they had been allowed to use a plug to charge their phone, but bizarrely the customer had ripped out the stand for an iPad to fit their charger in. My family and I were compelled to visit and see how crazy the manager was. We jumped in our car and drove 2 hours into deepest Wales. This is our account … Firstly. Let’s consider the customer complaint. The customer wanted to charge their phone. Fair enough. They asked and was told it was fine. Fair enough. However bizarrely they used the plug that the iPad is plugged into so customers can choose music. I have inspected this are and cannot understand why they did this. A picture is attached. In light of this I think it was a bit ridiculous and the manager was right to respond how he did. I had hoped he was going to be a fully fledged psychopath. So this was a bit disappointing. We were left to explore the pub as anyone else would. The decor was incredibly tasteful. The pub is clearly very well looked after. All get brand new. Toilets were lovely and there was a great pool room at the end. We were all on soft drinks and had three J2Os and two soda waters with lime. Then had a large Mediterranean pizza and a medium margarita. For a pub the pizza was surprisingly good. Not the best I have had but truth be told not too bad either. Fresh and tasty. We had two portions of chips between us which were huge and also well cooked. The bill came to £39 for all five of us and we were very impressed overall. Only thing I would say is that puddings were £6 a serving which seemed out of kilter with rest of menu, which was generally good value. So overall the pub failed to deliver the psychopathic style of management we had hungered for and that previous reviews suggested. But it was a good experience with nice food, nice staff and a lovely atmosphere.

Visited here, while staying in the village. We really enjoyed our meals. The staff were friendly, the food was good, tasty and good value. It was just what we needed after a long walk.

Have to say the pub looked very nice from the outside so me and my son went in to have something to eat. We were camping and as a result I had no charge on my phone so I asked the very nice blonde lady behind the bar if I could charge it and pointed to where a plug socket with a small tablet was attached. She said I could so I plugged it in. Then every 2 or so mins a gentleman came over to look at the tablet..mess a little and then wander off. We were watching the football results on TV which the owners could see...he turned down completely so it was deathly silent in the pub. Me and my son were in and it felt a little intimidating as whispers were coming from the bar. We finished our food which was OK but seemed to be frozen things heated quickly which is fine for what it costed. When I asked if if could have my charger back the man said "why would you **** plug it in there when there are so many sockets down there...you've ruined this now..pointing to the tablet that apparantley played music in the pub. I asked if he was the owner and he replied yes it's my pub!. I apologised but he was extremely rude! Not my idea of welcoming hospitality if you ask me. Especially as I had no idea what the tablet was and was not asked once by him if i could remove my charger!

Stopped here for lunch. Parking across the road. Inside the pub is pleasant and tidy. Food choice great and the 3 kids left empty plates, so a result! Puds were great too. Really nice little pub and would definitely go back. 👍

We recently visited this pub for evening meals. It was reasonably priced and good portion sizes. The staff and locals were really friendly and made us feel very welcome on the 3 visits we made They are also extremely dog friendly and offered us a bowl of water for him.

We were staying in our motorhome on a site near the Menai Coast, where, apart from the Sea Zoo and Salt museum, there was very little else to see/do! We decided to walk to Y Groeslon from our site which took us 45 minutes, some of it uphill, but a pleasant walk nonetheless. We were so glad we did! This is a lovely pub, staff very welcoming, the decor is lovely and we so enjoyed their electic music playlist! We sat in a window seat and had a couple of drinks watching the world go by. We then went for a trundle around the village which has some beautiful old architecture. Before our trek back we popped back in for another drink. We really enjoyed our visit and just wished it was nearer to us. Well worth a visit!

Dropped in here during a day trip and have to say so welcoming, got the kids colouring sheets and pens whilst they waited. Really good choice of food for everyone, pizza were amazing Will definitely come back on future days out thank you 😊

I love visiting cosy independent pubs when visiting Anglesey. The pizzas here are to die for, and the views are lovely! Friendly staff and good atmosphere.

We had a fantastic evening here on Thursday. The Landlord couldn't have been more accommodating and the staff were all so friendly. The weekly quiz was great fun too. Dog and child friendly.

Husband ordered fish and chips which was horrible and so deep fried it was cremated and grey inside, I had gammon which was more it like a slice of bacon, so sorry wouldn't recommend x

Called in here last Sunday evening and we were made very welcome. Food is basic pub menu style but the quality and service was very good. Hoping to return at the end of this week to try the Pizza’s which looked fab !!

If you like frozen cheap n nasty food go here.... we had a terrible meal here the other day after we asked if fish was fresh and if it was cod, we was assured it was by staff. Obviously wouldn’t know a COD from kipper frozen crap and cheap and nasty disgusting food

Brilliant food, quick service and friendly staff. We all really enjoyed our meals here and it’s a great place to enjoy some socially distanced time with your family. You won’t be disappointed.

This is a good village pub. The landlord and staff are very friendly and caring. The pub has been recently refurbished and provides a very clean and pleasant location for a meal or a drink. The views from the windows facing snowdonia are stunning. The food was undoubtedly home cooked and tasty - 1 gammon and 1 vegetable curry. We give The Groeslon a thumbs up and will definitely call again.

Visited on a very wet and windy day so this was a great place to shelter from the elements. The pub has clearly been refurbished and extended and is now bright, clean and welcoming with great views across the straights to Snowdonia.Good bar food, sensibly priced and welcoming owners, also entertained by a group of locals with their guitars along for a sing song.

We visited this pub after a bike ride and fancied a breakfast. The pub has recently been refurbished to a high standard and we were greeted by the land lady who was very friendly. There was a good choice of breakfast all home cooked and was most enjoyable accompanied with a good pot of tea. Definitely recommend and will be visiting this little gem again!

We called in for a coffee a few days ago and were surprised at how friendly the owners were and how the pub has been renovated just over a year ago. We have just been back for an evening meal and the place was buzzing with locals and again the evening staff were very friendly. The menu is simple but excellent food at a reasonable price. We will certainly visit again on next holiday.

So pleased to pop to the village pub for a bar meal and good glass of beer and wine. A nice friendly welcome, sparkling clean and good views. We will be making a weekly visit!

We’ve eaten here twice whilst holidaying near by. Both times we’ve eaten pizzas. They are truly amazing. The best non Italian pizzas we’ve eaten. The landlord/lady are very welcoming and friendly, as were the locals. Good atmosphere and easy on the eye decor. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area.

Went in here for a family meal tonight, four adults and two children. Ordered drinks at the bar whilst we decided on our meals. Went back to the bar and placed our food order and ordered more drinks, all seemed to be going smoothly. Food came out and was all good.This is where the problem arose.Went back to the bar to order one more drink, a pint of coors, and paid for it. Went and sat back down and a minute later the barmaid, skinny one wearing silver Chelsea boots, came over to me and told me that I'd paid with an old pound coin and it wasn't the first time tonight I'd done it.What a cheek, we had spent a lot of money in here tonight, probably the best customers of the night, and to be accused of trying to spend old pound coins in here was downright rude and insulting. I told her to keep the old pound coin as I suspect it is one of her tricks that she tries out on people who don't frequent this pub.Beware the barmaid in silver Chelsea boots!!!!!

Have been here twice In the last week. Service is very friendly and the whole place has a lovely local feel. Food is good - pizzas very nice as is the fish and chips! Highly recommend- will definitely be a regular place for us when we are on holiday.

We recently paid a visit to this formerly derelict pub, and were very pleasantly surprised to find that it was done up recently! Very good and buzzing atmosphere, good burgers and great beer - what else could you possibly ask from a pub!
