XI Bar in Tower Hamlets

Extremely cheeky to add 12.5% service charge to drinks that you’ve queued at the bar for, without telling you. Thought it was expensive and only realised when having a receipt for later rounds! Relies on its location and views.

Maybe I was inured to the poor service earlier in our tour, but found the service here quite good. There did appear to be one young lady in "training mode", but for the most part, felt well looked after. The spot soon became our "local" as various members of our group met, compared notes, and made dinner plans. Also found the dinners here were provided by the local restaurant, so very good. Enjoyed the view, too!

We visited here on both nights of our stay at the Tower Hotel for drinks and food on one night and it was very good and there was an excellent view of Tower Bridge. Would definitely return.

Waited 15 minutes to be served. Then family member had to go to the bar. Drinks were nice but overpriced. Lacked atmosphere. Wouldn’t rush back!

Really poor. Seems to be reliant on hotel residents an the views of Tower Bridge. Couldn't do classic cocktails that were not on the short cocktail menu. Could not even do some that were on the menu. As to the views, windows were filthy, obscuring the view. Such a shame. With a good bartender and a window cleaner, this could be a top spot.

The views of Tower Bridge are the best thing - drinks range and service was good but its expensive (£30 for 4 drinks!!)

Der Blick ist überragend, die Preise sind nicht überteuert (für London) Die Bar hat an Wochenenden bis 2h auf (unüblich für London wegen der Sperrzeiten) Man kann dort super Snacks essen, wie z.b Burger, auch noch um Mitternacht! Sauber, freundlich, jederzeit gerne wieder.

Sitting there with a glass of wine looking at the Thames and the tower bridge at night is very relaxing. A must if you happen to be in the area or are staying at the tower hotel.

The Thames River is the interest from the panoramic windows of this bar situated in The Tower Hotel. Expect to pay premium prices for your drinks. This is London and the hotel and views are unique.

Poor service each time we went in this bar. Expensive and only saved by the excellent view of the river and Tower.

Stayed at the Tower Hotel, this bar is located on the first floor of the Lobby.

They add a tip to the bill each round, they then add VAT. You have no choice! Its a downright liberty! Buy a bottle and take it to your room!

Great little bar with huge windows offering views of the Thames and Tower Bridge. Good price Happy Hour. One negative is its quite small for the size of hotel, and they could do with more seating.

We felt that the bar is too small for such a big hotel, therefore there are not that many tables near the window. Super that they have a happy hour, we made good use of that. The staff is nice. You can enjoy the end of your day with a lovely drink, and if you are lucky, with a view on the bridge

I was visiting Xi bar to have a nice afternoon with my friends. We did have dinner and a few drinks in the in the bar. The service and drinks from Ricky was absolutely Superb! The quality of the food were outstanding. Plus the stunning view! We felt very special and we will return again shortly!

Called in for coffee mid evening . Football on bothe large screens spoilt it, particularly as music playing from speakers at the same time. Asked at bar for coffees and they said they would bring them over. Paid at bar and only later notice wrong items charged, plus service charge added too, which was not appropriate under the circumstances, and did not happen earlier at coffee bar on ground floor..

Happy hour 2 por 1 que no incluye cócteles sin embargo no consta que en cualquier lugar. El personal no me aceptaban esto a pesar de que no declare que en cualquier lugar de su publicidad. Las bebidas son enormemente caro incluso para el centro de Londres. Sin embargo, la vista es bastante sorprendente.

Stayed in the Tower for a two night weekend break and used the Xi bar in the hotel. There is a genuine 2 for 1 happy hour between 5-7. Superb views and great staff.

if you want to chill that is the place never crouded or busy, nice lounge musick and the view, hidden sspot but worth to go

The staff here were very helpful in pointing me to the TV that has sound, and turning it up for me. Wish I hadn't bothered however as my team lost!

Happy hour is 5-7pm (2 for 1) and it gets very busy. But service is good and drinks are well made. We had G&T;’s and they were fab.

The bar has a great view over the Thames but on a Saturday to have 2 staff manning it was crazy - the queue was awful so gave up.

It’s a wonderful quiet bar to have a nice drink in St Katharine’s Dock and get a spectacular view of Tower Bridge. Great place to go for pre-dinner drinks

Service is very good and happy hour is 5 -7. The drinks are a bit pricey if you go outside of these times but nice atmosphere.

The offerings are delicious! The staff is pleasant. Comfortable lounge chairs in intimate setting. Separate area for bigger groups or more privacy. Watching the water, or bridge traffic is quite serene.

We stoped in this bar situated in the Tower Hotel for a late night drink. The bar staff were friendly and helpful . Drink prices were reasonable and there was a nice ambience. Some areas had view of the Thames whilst others were quiet corners for chatting. Closes just after 1am for residents.

Pedí café y era tan puchero fue imbebible. Mi sobrina había pedido un café con leche y era de color marrón oscuro y insípido. Era de muy mala calidad, y ella insistió en volver, ya que era de £2. 50. Esperamos casi 10 minutos mientras una señora senior sostiene que no reembolso. Hizo de hablar con el gerente y finalmente volvió con 2 libras. 50. Toda esta cosa ha dejado un mal sabor de boca, así como mi sobrina, así que poco profesional era la señora en cuestión. El resto del personal era atento en ofrecer el café.

Had something to eat in here both nights that i stayed recently. Staff are really friendly, loved the food and you can have an ice cold beer looking onto Tower Bridge. Well worth a visit.

We stayed at the tower hotel which is situated right next door. The area just reeks of atmosphere and is so popular with some lovely buildings around. The views of the Bridge are simply amazing especially when in the evening it is bathed in the lights. Plenty of very smart yachts and boats moored in the dock with plenty of places to eat and shop o and that cup of coffee or perhaps something a little stronger?

Great location for a bar. Really good views of the Thames and Tower Bridge are unfortunately seen through really dirty windows.The furnishings are quite worn and the carpet is worn through in some places. Overall quite a shabby bar.Service was ok.

Using the lifts we struggled to find the Upper Foyer where this bar is located in the hotel. It is easier to use the stairs!The main selling point of the bar are the views of the tower bridge, which are great. The bar itself was nothing special, and I could have done without the TV blasting out pop music.The food was pretty good - nicely presented and tasty. The service was good.I think it is probably more of a convenience bar for people staying at the hotel.

Service not good. They don't ask for your hotel room number or take payment before serving drinks, you have to ask for a bill. Query the charges carefully.

A fabulous view and great little bar in the Guoman (Tower Bridge) Hotel. Staff are professional and friendly and whilst it's not the largest bar, it is intimate with a great atmosphere. The view of Tower Bridge, and now the Shard, is truly amazing and as good as you'll get anywhere. Yes, the prices might be a little more expensive than in the provinces but this is a prime location so spoil yourselves and have a drink in this great place.

Perfect customer service!! The place is amazing too! The guy who made 2 of my cocktails was an absolute professional, hardly recommend you to try "Baylies Espresso Martini" and "Mojito"! I think the bartender's name was Boshidar, really nice guy who's really really good with making cocktails, also perfect customer service from him and his colleagues! All of the staff there is friendly and fun! They made me laugh a lot , thank you guys for this experience!

Xi Bar is within The Tower Hotel and offers interesting views of London river-life. A place for quiet relaxation after a day of work or tourist activities.

The view from the bar is amazing, I always enjoy a nice pint of beer with burger in company of my friends either in the bar or outside in the terrace.I love this place that I have been so many times, the hotel staff call me by my name, which is such a nice attention to detail on their part.I would like to mention Andrea Popa who is very polite, professional and very helpful with any issue that may raise, an Asian gentleman called Ricardo and talkative dutch lady from the terrace.Andres

The view from this bar is fantastic, particularly at night and it was lovely to sit with a drink (albeit a bit expensive!) and watch the world go by.

A Good meeting place for the hotel but drinks expensive (althoug a good range) and service not that hot.

We looked but could not find it, somewhere in the hotel we think but certainly not mentioned in any of the elevators (those that were working that is)

Lovely bar with friendly staff. If you can get a window seat you have a good view of The Thames with your G&T!

If you get a seat near the window then the views are excellent but that is probably the only redeeming feature about the bar.The seating is not that plush but the cocktails are reasonably priced. The rest of the drinks are very expensive and there are other places close by with similar views

We had a few drinks there in the evening the view was superb and could see the bridge opened up for large boats. Fantastic view in a quiet place. Loved it and staff was all very nice and again professional. Would recommend highly! Price wise it's what you would expect for a view like this! Spectacular!

Perfect view from the windows across the Thames and Tower Bridge. Bridge often operates during Summer evenings. Good range of drinks in the Xi and the staff are most welcoming and attentive without being persistent. Recommend a visit even if not staying in the Hotel.

A nice bar with super views. The staff were friendly but the drinks are way too expensive, so at the most you would be having one drink here before you go out or as a night cap, its a pity as there would be a lovely athmosphere here for hotel guests if it was not so expensive.

Very comfortable cocktail bar overlooking Tower Bridge. No need to queue to be served as the waiter comes to you. Complimentary "nibbles" with your drinks and extensive cocktail menu. Made to feel really special by staff.

Situated in the The Tower Hotel, it overlooks the river Thames and Tower Bridge. You can easily sit there and watch the world flow by. The food is very good and served quickly. In the vening it is a very good place to relax.

The bar is lovely with friendly staff. For the size of the hotel it's far too small but we did enjoy watching Tower Bridge change colour. Great if you can get a seat by the window.

A good place for a nightcap if staying at the hotel but unfortunately staff do not monitor behaviour of some of the guests using the bar to ensure comfortable evening for other users

We had a drink here when we got back to the Tower Hotel after our trip to the theatre. A table next to the window had just been vacated, so we were in luck to get a good view of Tower Bridge. You do not have to go to the bar to order, which was nice and they do provide nibbles to eat with your drinks. I liked the fact that it was not too noisy, because sometimes the piped music in bars makes it difficult to hold a conversation.

Ruime bar.Je hebt pricacy voor een baabel. Aan het raam is het was fris maar je hebt een schitterend uitzicht.Ik nam een snelle hap ... beetje vettig maar lekker.De bediening was correct maar een beetje koel.

Vriendelijk personeel , maar de hoeveelheid Amaretto in je glas moet je zoeken. Was er tijdens een koude periode , als je dan langs de raam gaat zitten voor het mooie uitzicht , ben je best dat je een trui aan doet.

Lovely views from the bar , it was a Saturday evening but it was very quiet in here.I was disappointed they didn't have any Prosecco.

Cocktails around £10 each (plus 12.5% service charge), we were even charged £4 for what is normally "complimentary nuts" so beware! 4 drinks and nuts and olives £46 guess average, service was good altho it was very quiet, lovely views of the bridge.

I attended this place to watch a live football match on tv . The staff were very friendly to ensure that the required channel was on . It has a splinted view , very large place and nice atmosphere.

Excellent location right next to Tower Bridge and looking down on the river. 'Posh Central London hotel' prices. There's a typical British pub not 500 metres away, slightly down river, you make your choice.
