We’ve driven past this pub many times and finally decided to go for a meal 🍽️ So pleased we did. As soon as we walked in we were made to feel very welcome. We had fish and chips which was delicious with real chips not frozen 😋 All the staff are friendly and Colin is very cute in his bow tie 😁 We will definitely be back again. There’s plenty of parking space and lots of seating options inside and out.

Absolutely lovely quaint pub with friendly staff. Plenty of seats in the garden. Food average but let down as it is often very quiet. Needs to promote it's self better.

Had lunch here a couple of weeks ago. Service was excellent and the landlady was very friendly and attentive. Food good, home cooked lasagne and delicious hand cut chips. My only dislike was the garlic bread which was over cooked and too greasy. Otherwise a delightful cosy pub.

Highly recommended for family run customer service and delicious food. A 18th century pub, with a good sized car park & plenty of outside seating, the warm welcome and a menu with a good choice. The food was excellent & hot, quality products and very reasonable prices. We will definitely go again

Got talking to the landlord and mentioned that the burgers looked good. He then explained he's a chef and everything is cooked by hand and the burgers are aberdeen angus beef with hand cut chips and a salad, ordered 2 yummy 😋 they where lovely, thanks

Lovely place. It's one of those pubs that if you didn't know it was there you might have difficulty finding as it's set back from the road. However, it's a lovely traditional village pub with a friendly atmosphere

Visited today to celebrate our 3yr old granddaughters birthday. The roast dinners were so tasty, a welcome change from some pub meals we've had elsewhere. All the food was freshly made, no frozen veg and served beautifully. Will definitely visit again worth the 40 mins drive to get there. Very friendly atmosphere.

Went Saturday midday for lunch and the atmosphere was lovely in the sun, nice and quite great for relaxing. I had the “Bar Food” which was cheesy chips and chicken for £10! Staff was very friendly and they allow dogs. The portion size was enough to share between 3 people. Will definitely be going back soon

Had the best chips and cheese today, £7.50 but worth every penny. Normally cheese just on the top, but these had cheese on every chip. Met the owners and they were so lovely. They haven't been there very long but the passion they have for that place is amazing. You can see it from the road and when they get there new signs up it will be much easier to find it. Definitely worth a visit, dog friendly too xx

I visited this evening for dinner with my husband and was not disappointed. Very warm welcome when we got there. We both ordered ribs and chips and they were SO good! The table next to us had pies which looked and smelt awesome so I'll need to go back to try those next. The food is made from scratch in house and it's just the perfect pub food, can't wait to return!

Went in for a few drinks, atmosphere was amazing. Stayed for some bar snacks which were incredible. Would highly recommend to any families and dog walkers

We came across this place by accident, following a walk as it was the last pub before returning to our car. Having had our walk diverted and ending up being out a good hour than we intended we were thirsty and starving when we hit the pub. It was later on a Sunday afternoon but we were offered a choice of a bar meal, or the restaurant menu, and advised we could eat in the pub or in any of the outdoor areas. We ordered a couple of pints, the cajun chicken wrap, and cheesey chips. The gentleman serving us did warn us that the cajun wrap was served with chips, but we went ahead and had the cheesy chips as well. We went out and sat in the beer garden, which had a lovely grassy lawn and plenty of benches spread around. The food arrived and was really tasty. The cajun chicken was just spicy enough and the cheesey chips were proper hand cut chips with a huge portion of cheese. We saw a couple of Sunday lunches going out and these looked good too. A really welcome break at the end of a walk, with a friendly welcome and good food

Excellent Saturday lunch for 4, food was cooked perfectly, quality excellent, fresh and great tasting and all served with friendly professionalism with a smile 😊!! Best fish I've had since the last time we were at the seaside! Definitely worth many return visits!

First time I’ve have been here in 20 years , when used to come regular . I remember it being really cosy pub . However not as cosy as I remember it . However still traditional country setting pub . It’s run by new owners who have only taken over 6 weeks ago. Choice of food was fine . We had liver and onions. Lovely liver meal. However we were a little disappointed when the vegetables in our meal, as it just frozen peas. Puddings were nice and tasty . Chicken burger was nice also . Nice pub all in all staff friendly and polite .

I’ve been coming to the Worlds for nearly 15 years, after moving away I’ve only just come back today. It’s even better than before, staff are amazing as always, good beer, great atmosphere and an amazing pizza. Strongly recommend this place for food, drinks and atmosphere

Went for a birthday celebration. Meat was undercooked, roast potatoes hard, yorkshire warmed up and burnt gravy very runny. Nut roast terrible, just like rice. That's probably why nobody else was eating there when we arrived.

Brie starter was OK, but I had the Steak Pie and it had only 1 piece of meat in it. Luckily, we only had the Lighter Bites menu as I would of been pretty annoyed paying double the price for that.

No dinners in the pub at 1.30pm. We had Sunday roast. Beef was VERY rare and bloody. The gravy was very watery and the rest of the food was just warm. One person had nut roast, which mainly consisted of rice, never had a nut roast like before. Spoilt a birthday lunch. Sorry won’t be eating here again

‘Haven’t been here for over 10 years. But after seeing an article we decided to try it again . The menu was very good and the food excellent . I had lambs liver which was excellent and my wife had the fish and chips which again was excellent . One recommendation would be having chunky chips with the fish as opposed to thin fries . Having said that plates were empty and would go back. There was a friendly warm atmosphere and the landlord very welcoming

Came across this beautiful village pub a week ago. Lovely and cosy inside with log fire. Food was tasty and reasonably priced, so good we returned a few days later and again it didn't disappoint. We'll worth a visit. Staff very friendly. Will be great in the summer as there is plenty of outside seating and heated areas.

4 of us meet at various locations, usually in the Lowdham, Notts area. This time we tried the Worlds End on Ton Lane. A lovely, quaint pub/restaurant with a large car park. Surprisingly it wasn't busy when we went in (it was a Tuesday!) . The greeting was friendly, the menu varied and the service excellent. The food took a little time to arrive as it was freshly prepared. But what lovely food! Becky the chef did us proud! From the lovely, tasty, tomato and basil soup, through our main courses of (for all of us!) Liver, Sea Bass, F&C and Special Burger, to our puddings of Crumbles and in my case a divine Sticky Toffee pudding and custard, the food was excellent. Prices were not out of this world either! We will be visiting again when we get together in February! Highly recommended!

Here every year, stop over in our Motorhome so we can visit family. Good food, friendly. We will be back.

Been visiting this lovely place for the past few weeks after our paddle boarding expeditions. Never disappointed and always have nice food that is well priced. Slowly working through the menu and we tried steak pie and a chicken pie at the weekend. Both were very nice and tasty, as were the real ales that were on offer. Service from Lily & Harry was excellent, as per usual. Nothing is too much trouble for these guys. True assets to the pub. Keep up the good work guys!!

Where do I start...this is a hidden little gem of a country pub. So pretty upon arriving, ample places to sit to eat or drink, inside and outside. The food was well presented, flavoursome and plenty of it. Tom and Darren are amazing hosts and nothing was too much trouble. Dog friendly and also kid friendly. The ladies toilets were very clean and presentable and even had a care basket for when us ladies might need something in an emergency.

Poor service and no vegetarian option. I was given water with lemon in when I asked for no lemon as I have an allergy. He just took the lemon out when I pointed it out and gave me the same drink back.

Highly recommend. True hidden little gem, a proper traditional pub, with delicious food, mains and pudds were on point. Staff/owners so friendly and attentive, with a bit of banter too. Lovely pub for proper pub grub. Nice outdoor seating too which would be lovely in the sun. So glad we've found this place, we will go back again

What an amazing hidden gem. The pub was picturesque as we pulled into a large car park, variety of outdoor seating, indoors was clean and stylish. The food was on point and big portion sizes. Local sourced ingredients in some of the meals. Plenty of non alcoholic drinks available to those who drive. And the cherry on the top for me was the clean toilets, and the basket of toiletries for the ladies to use to freshen up. Tom and Darren were very attentive and nothing was too much trouble.

Called in for light bite weekday lunch. Well stocked bar, variety menu and good atmosphere, plenty of people eating locals and visitors alike. Fresh food delivered in a timely manner. Especially reccomend sausage and mash with delish onion gravy! Will be back

Went for lunch after seeing a photo of their ploughman’s on their Facebook page…and it was everything I’d imagined and more! Lovely atmosphere and great service. Tom and Darren are definitely the hostess with the mostess! I shall definitely be back.

Stopped by on a journey and it was very nice. Locals were polite, the bar keep was polite and the beer garden is lovely. I'd stop by if I was passing again.

What a great pub this is. Easy to drive past without ever knowing it is there, it's somewhere I've often wanted to visit. We took the opportunity on Saturday afternoon to pop in for a drink and we weren't disappointed at all. It's a lovely looking, traditional pub in a nice village on the outskirts of Nottingham. We were made to feel welcome by staff and customers alike, the pub has a very relaxed atmosphere and within minutes we felt like we'd been going there for years. Drinks were reasonably priced and well kept, I don't have any pictures but I'll put some on soon because we'll definitely be going back. Might take a pack of cards next time and have a bite to eat, I hear the food is very good.

Fantastic food (the pie is to die for) great portions and packed full of flavour and a well thought out menu. The beer is top notch as always and the service was superb. Its not every pub that would be busy at 1PM on a Monday afternoon in January during a cost of living crisis but the World's end was deservedly hopping!

Strange review this one. The food was excellent 5 out of 5. The young lad who served us was also excellent. However, there were a lot of locals in the pub, who had good banter with the bar staff. But I felt it was a case of us & them, we were treated as them!! Would we go back? Dont think so.

A great pub offering good ales and fine food. Staff are very welcoming. The pub had a roaring fire and offers both a restaurant and more traditional drinking bar area. I enjoyed a couple of beers both were well kept and good quaffing ales. Well worth a visit.

I'm not sure what all the negative reviews are for.....Went for Sunday lunch today, food was very nice! Had the Roast beef which was very nice, portion was generous (Glad I didn't go for a starter too) huge Yorkshire puds! Yes service wasn't the quickest but it's Sunday and I would rather that than be rushed out of the place. They even did a smaller portion for the little one. Good pint too! We will be back

Made a bit of a mistake didnt realize that it was only kebab night.but decided to stay the food was amazing i had the lamb shish the pieces of lamb was chunky no room for desert great value for money
