Workin' Lunch in Wigan

This is a great little find. Set back from the main road but well worth seeking out. I had the chicken sizzler with rice and it was delicious. The prices are very reasonable, the staff friendly and it is good value for money.

I have been visiting this cafe since it first opened a few years ago. It has undergone a recent makeover (although it has always been clean and contemporary), and is even better if possible! The menu is varied and reasonably priced. A lot of the food is sourced locally and the staff are lovely, friendly, welcoming and efficient. Highly recommended.

We were without a car (it was having its MOT) so decided to grab some breakfast while we waited. Bryn is quite a small place, but surprisingly there's never been a regular cafe, until now- Workin' cafe is a great place to stop in and it knows it's target customer offering traditional English breakfast, mugs of tea and an assortment of barmcakes and rolls. Inside it is nicely decorated with wood paneling and each table has a small plant, sal and pepper with a menu attached to a clipboard. This is as far away from a 'greasy spoon' as you can get. What makes it so nice is the good quality produce, the bacon is thick and the sausages aren't the cheap kind that you would normally expect in a cafe. The tea comes by the cup rather than the pot so I suppose you may prefer to make your own so that you got the strength of the brew to your taste, but the tea which was made for us was good and to a medium strength. This cafe is a great little find and for anyone needing a 'watering hole's it comes highly recommended.

My friends and I went to this cafe for lunch. I had a steak canadian on a crispy baguette with chips and it was absolutely delicious! Customer service was great as all the staff were very friendly and genuine. The price was reasonable and all my friends enjoyed it too. Would definitely recommend to anyone!

Found it just by chance, as its tucked away at the rear of a hairdressers. They prepare freshly cooked hot and cold food in a timely manner and you can eat in or take out. It was quite busy when we were there, but we found a table. Very clean and 5 star rated. Loved the chicken sizzler flavour and it was cooked to perfection by the young man. What a refreshing change from those 'other' fast food drive through places.
