Always my 'go to' place for tea/coffee before catching the train from Wigan. Nice relaxing place.

Love this place. I’ve started to come here and work on a Tuesday for a change of scenery. Really nice chilled cafe, decent WiFi and friendly staff.

Why 5 ***** ? I have travelled all over and to me the coffee at Kawa's is "simply the best". Service excellent too. From a genuine coffee lover 🍒🍒🍒

My daughter's train was delayed so we headed out to grab a coffee. This place is a stone's throw away from both stations so ideal. Lovely iced latte and a friendly atmosphere. We will return.

Often come to Kawas with my friends, always welcomed and drinks are consistently good. Staff is very friendly and cafe itself has a lovely vibe to it. Definitely recommend!

Met my cousin here on a whistle stop visit to Wigan. Fab coffee & the chocolate croissants were divine. Really friendly staff . Perfect location just opposite Wallgate Station.

Does not shut as 6 as advertised they turn all machines off at quarter too!! Decent coffee tho

I absolutely love this place! So cozy, stylish and coffee are really nice. Everything about this place is great and high quality. It is a bit weird to find place like that in Wigan....But I am sooo happy someone decided to open something decent here. It is definitely my favourite place in Wigan.

Sent son in for two takeaway white coffee's came out with two cold coffees. Would have gone back but had somewhere else to be.

Very friendly staff, with cool interior design and comfortable seating. The coffee was good and the back bar of spirits looked tempting but it was the morning!

OMG I love this place! Just stopped in for a coffee on my way between stations and I’d forgotten my wallet They gave me my coffee anyway and said I can pay next time. Not sure if that’s why this coffee tastes so good but it really does! Oat milk flat white one shot perfection. I’ll be back. Thank you so much 😊

Kawa is our 'go to' cafe when in Wigan. Lovely coffee and tea as well as snacks. Very friendly and efficient service. Ideally situated very near both train stations.

Lovely find on a wet Wigan afternoon. Waiting for my train, I found this lovely cafe bar. Warm, friendly and comfy chairs too. Coffee, alcohol and homemade sandwiches, cakes and snacks. Thankyou for a warm respite when my train was cancelled xxxx See you again soon.

It's a very nice place to hang out. It's not cheap, but it's relaxing and worth a visit if you're in the area.

Very nice coffee place to just chill out or work from, if you are a nomad. It is cozy and staff was very nice as well. Coffee is smoothe, recommended.

Great trendy spot for coffee or wine; if you’ve half an hour to spare at Wigan station would highly recommend making the very short walk here

A lovely place to have a coffee after or before a train journey as it is perfectly placed for both Wigan stations. Enjoyed my flat white in a medium cup . Quick and friendly service plus free wi fi.

Very nice coffee, excellent customer service from the staff and a nice venue. Can't fault it.

Nicely presented venue, bigger than expected with seating to the back, and also an upstairs that I didn’t see. Don’t know if we were unlucky to catch them on a bad day but the food offering was poor. We were told that the pizza oven was closed sono pizzas or burgers. Later on we saw some folk get burgers though which was odd. The ham and cheese panini was pretty cold, definitely had not been put in a sandwich press. Only one salad was dressed for the two plates we got; pretty strange. Nobody asked how our food was and nobody took our plates our empties. There’s old signage on the flooring that isn’t in use so you are stood somewhere like a wally for no reason trying to follow rules that aren’t in place. I’m also not sure how this place can claim to be a wine bar when it only sells 3 basic red and whites each plus a house wine for both. I will give this place another chance as it was fairly comfortable, but I was underwhelmed overall.

Bit awkward at first, stood at the door because it said please wait and no one came to see to us. Sort of wandered in and had to butt into the servers conversation to ask if they were doing food and where we could sit. But the food was gorgeous and generous quantities for the price. The servers were lovely, beautiful modern place with a relaxed atmosphere. Decent WiFi and plug sockets by the tables. Might be a good place to get a bit of work done with a coffee. Will be coming back. Thank you

First time Visiting this establishment since it opened. Decor is stripped back but certainly not to the detriment of the overall look which has a more kinda "City" Coffee house or wine bar ambiance. As such you wouldn't feel out of place dressed to the nines or just casually smart. The furniture is varied and the wall seating is comfy and deep cushioned. Additionally, to the rear, there are arrangements of some leather Chesterfields as well as some softer fabric seating to accommodate groups and "Huddles" which is very much a plus. The staff are polite and attentive which is so important for a Coffee house trying to make its mark against the big players only a short walk away. That said, with this being on the doorstep of the towns two train stations the footfall should be good. There is a display showing desserts to be had with your beverage of choice, though it could benefit from some pictures of sandwiches and other items from the menu to create a visual awareness that there is in fact more to offer the customer- as opposed to a laminated collection of pages. In fact, I had no idea until I asked that they did in fact serve food as well as desserts. So there's a feather to the bow to be added here with some visual enhancements to alure the taste buds. Without question, I would highly recommend a visit. The coffee certainly was on par with the best there is, and I certainly intend to return. So 5 stars from me on this, and let's hope it survives. It has the potential to be a real Hub in this town.

Came in for a coffee whilst waiting for the train, and glad we did. Ended up making sure we had time for a second coffee on the way back home too!

Bought a cheese and tomato croissant...It wasn't fresh! Pretty sure it was a leftover .On the top of that I've found a hair in my sandwich. In my opinion this place needs a lot of improvement... I like the decor, vibe is pretty cool,staff is very friendly.But unfortunately, not much else I can praise them for. Disappointing.

Good place to visit, situated on the main road in wigan centre but nice and laid back, with a friendly atmosphere. Nice alternative to the likes of 'spoons!

Whilst my first visit was very pleasant, my subsequent two visits have been marred by unscheduled closure at 22:00 on a Friday, leaving me with a long wait for my train home.

Don’t come here if you’re Gluten Free!!! I asked if they had any gluten free beer and was told yes - the red peroni was gluten free. When the lady brought it to the table fortunately I double checked. It absolutely isn’t gluten free! Alarming that staff are selling this as gluten free when it isn’t and could make someone really ill. I had asked about gluten free cake and was told (rather unconvincingly) that the vegan flapjack was. Fortunately I didn’t risk this. Please make sure your staff know exactly what is and what isn’t gluten free - misinformation can have a really serious effect on people’s health!

Super cute! First time I went in. Got a take out coffee! Staff where lovely! Little bit pricey but worth the money. Really nice atmosphere...would look to go again definitely! Deceptive size too! Loads of seating.
