Absolutely delicious bagels. I’ve tried the Manhattan and the Reuben and they were both seriously brilliant. I can highly recommend this place

I went to Woody’s this weekend for the first time in years on a trip back to Sheffield. Not only was the food as delicious as I remember, the menu was huge and the service was absolutely outstanding. I left with a smile on my face! For a shop that’s been around as long as this has, it’s so lovely to see it doing so well. Without a doubt the best sandwich shop in Yorkshire… If not the UK!

Best breakfast and lunch sandwiches possibly in the entire of Sheffield. Get the chicken bacon and Brie with optional cranberry. Been powering me on my single speed bike in Sheffield for years.

Called in, met with the warmest of welcomes and a huge selection. Indecisive me, asked for a surprise (veggie) and wasn't disappointed. Hummus and med vegetables in super fresh bread. Great value and the coffee was lovely too. Little independents like these are a great find. Thank you!

Best sandwich shop in Sheffield. Woodys is a lunchtime staple for me three to four times a week! Every sandwich you can think of is on the menu! Family owned/operated always friendly and love every visit!

Went for a walk and thought I’d pop in here for a quick sandwhich. I was so amazed by the warm welcome and great service that I received. Not only the service was great but the food was even better! I am now a very regular customer and would highly recommend this family owned business for a lovely sandwhich and excellent service! :)

I’m a local student and a regular customer of Woodys and it is a great spot for amazing sandwiches and baguettes either hot or cold with loads and loads of choices, I have never been disappointed after eating from here and would highly recommend to everyone in the area :)

A lovely little sandwich bar with a really homely feel. Very friendly staff who were chatty and more than happy to help us out, I’ve been the past two mornings and really enjoyed it. The selection of sandwiches is amazing and everything we tried was fantastic. The deserts are to die for. The next time I’m back in Sheffield I’ll be returning to Woody’s for sure. Can’t reccomend highly enough!

Where do I begin. Woodys is a shop that I would visit on a weekly basis absolutely written off by the night before. It was here that I would seek comfort and a lovely conversation before working my way down and through the menu. I hadn’t been for a number years since leaving Sheffield and much to my surprise the absolute saint of woman that owns the gaff remembered me. I was truly honoured by this and have got to say that there are very VERY few sandwich shops that have the same elite service and better food ! A truly truly wonderful place that has cured the hangovers of countless students and others !

Fiona, the manager goes above and beyond for her customers, and has supported me as a student with live event sponsorship. Their drinks and cakes are brilliant too!

A great selection of sandwiches, both hot and cold, including breakfast and hot roast pork available all day. Homemade cakes are delicious and at a good price!! Staff very friendly. Would recommend to a friend :)

Amazing place to grab quick lunch or breakfast on way to work, friendly and local staff! I specially love pastrami melt baquettes. So many to select from and everything you order will be freshly made for you front of you which is great!

Georgeous freshly made food. Staff are efficient & attentive. I always go for the stilton & bacon baguette. The price is more than reasonable. Their high standards & quality are consistent.

I love their brie and grape sandwiches, on granary. Delicious! Freshly made whilst you wait. Their range of tray bakes are great too.

One of the best sandwiches I've had. The hummus, black olives and sun-dried tomatoes sandwich was impeccable. The choice was also outstanding, with veggie and vegan options on display too. Lovely staff and amazing prices. Cannot complain! Cant wait to go back!

I've visited Woodys a few times now and I'm always left amazed (and very full) by the quality of the food and fantastic service. There are over 70 sandwiches to chose from so perfect for the fussy eater! Also as a vegetarian there's plenty of options (the Avacado, Pecorino and Rocket is a personal favourite). Could not recommend enough!

Love this sandwich shop, well worth a look if youre in the area. Great hangover food! Its primarly a takeout place and does great breakfast sandwiches although gets busy early in the day/on weekends. The staff are friendly and are happy to swap and change ingredients. If you live nearby it is certainly worth a visit, although I probably wouldnt come from far to visit if I wasnt already in the area.

I have been to this sandwich shop a few times over the past year and it never fails me, there is plenty of choice ( even though I usually stick to my favourite) the staff are friendly and even though it's sometimes busy it's worth the wait!

Not once has a sandwich from Woody's dissapointed me. I'm a creature of habit but with so much choice it's hard to stick to the same option every time so I have sampled a nice variation, and have always been very pleased with my choice. The staff are always very accommodating when you're feeling fussy as well which is a bonus!

Woodys was recommended to me by a friend, I'm so glad I went but my waistline may agree to differ! The food and sandwiches they offer are creative and always absolutely outstanding! I've let trying to choose different sandwiches but the ones I've chosen so far are so good that I just want the same ones each visit! The staff are friendly, and the only downside is they could do with bigger premises as it is so busy at peak times like lunch and breakfast. But they are well staffed and as mentioned the staff are lovely and genuine, no false smiles or requests that are too much! Genuinely a pleasure and I wish there were more sandwich places like woodys. PS you have to try their Italian job and Chicken tomato and pesto sandwiches, they're divine and a real taste sensation! We have just moved into a house nearby and have tried various sandwich places, but I have to say Woody's is the best by far. Such a tremendous choice, it takes me ages to chose and to get through the long list of different breads and fillings. You only have to see the queue waiting for sandwiches to see how popular it is. They do good coffee too and everything is so reasonable. You must try it.

I love this place for a quick sandwich. Nice real meat used and loads of salad piled up on it. Really friendly people and good prices. Would really recommend for a quick lunch time sandwich or for grabbing sandwiched and going accross to the park. :-)

Been to woody's many times. There is a huge range of sandwiches available so will always be something for anyone. Good portion size too, not small and very filling. Exactly what you want when you want a takeaway sandwich! Fresh ingredients all for a great price.

Open 7 days a week with LOTS of sandwich choices (fab for picky eaters), would recommend the hot roast pork or hot baguettes. The breads always fresh, the portions are generous and the breakfast is on all day! The staff are lovely and offer a great service. Highly recommended!!

GREAT little sandwich shop on Ecclesall road, LOADS of choice from a classic ham or breakfast sandwich to a hot roast pork all with a affordable price. Excellent service too - despite it often being busy the staff are always attentive and friendly. Will definitely be recommending to friends and family.

Open 7 days a week and good hours. There are many great combinations with voice of breads. My team go for treats, when we have had a hard morning. The staff are polite, helpful and well presented. At times the shop is full, but you never have to wait long. Lots of temporary parking nearby. A great little sandwich shop and well worth paying a little bit extra for something you really want.

I have visited for my lunch on Saturday afternoon. I except they were busy as always and don't mind having to wait! But when people are coming in after me and getting there order 5 mins before me then I do begin to have a problem, especially after they had eaten the food and gone before mine had arrived. As I said great food but the service is really letting them down. I'm not sure I would be willing to go through that's again.

Really nice sandwich shop with some very nice sandwich options. I had the New York deli sandwich and it was really nice!! Only criticism is the cans were 80p which I thought was a bit steep. Only £2.40 for the sandwich though!! Highly recommend!!

Lovely little cafe upstairs from sandwich shop. Had a great afternoon tea there with a Deal Monster voucher. The food was absolutely delicious - Gorgeous selection of sandwiches and cakes and the best scones I've had. One of the best afternoon teas I've tried. Would recommend it. Great staff and service even thought they were very busy. Nice little cafe.
