Woody's Restaurant and Bar in East Lindsey

It’s a really nice place but after looking at the review of someone else their lasagna looked much nicer than the one I had. Looked more fresh and cleaner. The staff are friendly and nice. Dogs are welcomed which is good. The burger was alright however the onion rings tastes like they were dipped in toilet water. The fudge cake was the best thing they have so it’s definitely worth getting that.

Our 5th stay here at Woodthorpe and must say the food everytime we eat here at Woodys has been fantastic. Great service with a cosy welcoming local atmosphere.. be sure to catch the Quiz and Bingo nights given the opportunity. Be sure to catch a 6th visit...

If you want a salad with no dressing, even though the menu shows the salad comes with it, you will love it. We normally come here because it's kid friendly and the kids can play without is worrying. But the food is atrocious if you want anything other than a burger or any meat. This was the second time I ordered a salad and it came with no dressing. When I asked for some, I was told they were out. Not even some olive oil and vinegar. I've had better salad from Tesco for £1 and even that come with a sorry sachet of dressing.

Out for a spot of Lunch a good choice from both menus, 100% recommend this place, pay and play golf, Tourers And Camping statics, children's park dogs definitely welcome outside and I think in the conservatory if dining but double check ✔ Close to Woodthorpe Garden Centre and Woodthorpe Aquatics

Staff were very freindly and the food was delicious, the fish and chips spot on , will go again next time we are down, recommend to anyone.

Not over enamoured by my selection of food but those around me seemed to enjoy theirs.

We had Lincolnshire sausages (3) on a bed of mash with crispy onions (yum yum) and carrots, sugar snap peas and tender stem broccoli with a jug of gravy all excellent

Great food. Good portions and well presented. Comfortable and clean accommodation. A very pleasant and friendly young woman took our orders and delivered the food within 15-20 minutes. Highly recommended

Family meal tonight for my daughter’s birthday , cannot fault anything , food and service absolutely perfect . Waiter called Scott I believe went beyond his duties and organised the cake we took in for my daughter . Would definitely recommend and we will definitely eat here again . Plus dog friendly with a separate area for dining if you take your dog

Called in for dinner today. All bar staff very polite and service excellent. Ordered meals - home made steak pie and hunters chicken. Both were delicious and good value for money. Would go again. Thanks to all

The food was delicious, perfect portions. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Lovely atmosphere and family friendly. Fast service and amazing layout… able to fit pushchair round easily and wasn’t in the way.

The food has gone downhill. Staff are not bothered. Browning salad,cold chips. When mentioned none cared.

My husband and I had a takeaway for tea tonight. We both chose the pie and vegetables. It was absolutely delicious. It couldn't have been better. We stay at the park regularly and have always been impressed with the food. The staff were extremely polite and friendly as well.

We goto Woodys regularly and the food is always amazing, the staff are lovely and polite. The manager is second to none, he goes above and beyond for his customers. I would highly recommend this place for excellent food and the little ones are also catered for with both menu and outdoor play area. Beautiful outdoor eating/drinking area and an amazing golf course on site

So I rang booking for 3 people they said fully booked I rang back a said I’m with the golf captain could I have a table for 3 people straight away yes sure !! Bloody hypocrites ! Gone so down hill since Janet handed it over ! An gayle left ! So so poor ! Some of the wait staff haven’t got a clue a some are brilliant !

We have been here a few times and this was the worse time .the food was inedible to be fair .which was a big disappointment. There was 4 of us 2 of us had surf and turf the steak was awful very chewy and tough.the other 2 had brisket which usually is beautiful today it wasnt I dont know if they have a new chef but it isnt working.the waiter was useless he had to come back 3 times as he had to tell us about our order .2 of our family had travelled 80 miles to have the brisket. It was a big let down.i did complain and we got £10 off our £100 bill. Very disappointed Woodys .

Worst dining experience I've ever had, hardly anything left on menu, but wasn't told this until after we ordered, so this resulted in the waiter revisiting us several times, first two orders came out wrong, food cold nothing fresh, no seasonal veg, clearly tinned. Food was vertually inedible. Every table had the same scenario as us. Asked for wine menu, it never came. We had to negotiate the bill as we were only offered 10% which was clearly not acceptable. Extremely disappointing, we had taken family for the last evening of a lovely Easter Holiday only for it to be ruined, shall not be returning.

3 meals 2 very good but lasagne was awful chef needs a lesson how to make it sloppy and no real cheese just loads of white cheese sauce mix hardly any meat no texture . Sorry but rest was very good

If I could rate 0 I would. Can't be bothered to go through everything that happen as I'd be writing a book on how not to run a restaurant. But if you want a fawlty towers style dining experience then book away. How this place is in business baffles me more than it probably should.

Absolutely appalling, half the menu not available but not told this until after our orders had been taken. The waiter had to keep coming back to the table to tell us something else had run out. When the food arrived 2 plates had to be sent back as they were wrong, the food was cold, vegetables cleared tinned not seasonable as advertised, as a whole barely edible. Asked for a wine menu and did not receive one. This was happening at every table, after we had been told food was off the menu, the staff were still taking orders and not informing people at the time, this resulted in the majority of guests been annoyed and complaining. At the end all the waiter offered us was 10% off and numerous excuses , we refused to pay for some of the food so luckily negotiated more of a discount. This was the last eve after a lovely few days staying with my parents before we return home tomorrow, my mum was very upset.

We had a great meal large portion for me but mu husband ate all his meal.

Had a meal booked here but they said it wasn’t booked in, we had booked in and they had confirmed it… I had a pie of the day with veg, mash and gravy. The veg and mash was nice, but the steak in the pie was very tough

My husbands steak was rather fatty, and at first we thought the portion of chips was meagre, but in fact we were replete after our meal. Yummy dessert too.

Great place for food Sunday carvery excellent

15 of us went for my nephews birthday, had a table booked and most of us were having carvery, 6 people ordered from the menu, we waited to get our carvery so everyone could be seated and eating together, whilst in the queue we were told that they had run out of meat and we would have to order off the menu, this was at 1.45pm, the food ordered from the menu had already come out, we didn't get out food until 3.30pm!! Nearly 2 hrs after the rest of our party had eaten, most of us had gone past eating by then, somebody ordered a rare steak and it was so overdone he could barely eat it, he left all of his meal, one poor waitress running about flustered. So disorganised, the table next to us got sick of waiting for their food, drank their drinks and got up and left! I'll never go again!!

Been before and it’s been great. Came yesterday and absolutely shocking. Run out of carvery for half 1. Had to choose off the menu so got a tried and surf. Waited over an hour to get this and when it came the surf was something that had come from a pond and the steak was cremated. As everyone else had already got their meals I had to do without. Didn’t even give me a complimentary pint to say sorry. Worst experience I’ve ever had for dinner. Rather go kfc

We phoned to book a table for the carvery on Saturday eve. The guy who answered the phone told us that there was no need to book & just to turn up. He said that he'd look forward to seeing us the next day. When we arrived on Sunday for the carvery, the man that spoke to us as we explained why we didn't have a table booked was extremely rude & insisted that we should have really booked. There was only myself & my husband & it was mid January. The man then proceeded to sit us in the Function Room where a large gathering for a 90th Birthday Meal was taking place. He then ignored us for over 10mins. Finally a young man called Scott came over & served us. He was absolutely lovely & nothing was too much trouble. The food was really nice & so were the other staff serving the carvery. We couldn't help but notice that there were many other vacant tables within the establishment also. It really is a pity how 1 member of staff can ruin your whole experience of a place & possibly cause many prospective customers to leave.

Really great place for a family lunch, the waiters were top notch and made us feel very welcome and at home. Food was well cooked and presented, also extremely tasty.

We ate at Woody's a few times whist staying at woodthorpe leisure park over Christmas the food and service were fantastic, friendly staff good atmosphere would definitely go again

Food was ok, nothing great, but had to move from original table because of draft and feeling cold. Lack of atmosphere.

For an establishment that is meant to have a set of high standards it fell woefully short, we attended a Christmas party night, to get served at the bar was a chore in itself, none of the bartenders were interested in serving, as if it was an inconvenience, when we did manage to get seated ready to eat, there seemed to be a lot of confusion and waiting for starters to arrive, the main course wasn't inedible, but it wasn't of a high standard either, then onto the deserts, I ordered a cheese board, I was informed that it was on the side after I asked if I was overlooked as everyone else had their desserts, after a further 10 minutes or so it arrived, but everyone else had finished theirs and the staff were clearing plates away so I was left eating alone, when we moved again into the ballroom, what a disappointment, perhaps they ought to purchase Christmas decorations from the garden centre, no atmosphere, no festivities, a DJ that played songs on a loop, this was meant to of been a Christmas party, I have attended more lively wakes, please please please employ a manager to oversee the whole operation as no one seemed to care or was even bothered, would I come back, unfortunately no I nor the party I was with would, not a good start to the holiday season.

Looks nice and welcoming from the entrance. Nice outside dining area. Go inside down the hallway passed the loos that were clean. You get to the bar area . The bar man welcomed us and we were shown into the conservatory area. It was clean . It also is the area where dogs are welcome. Didn't know that as we would have sat else where as wife has an allergy on pet hair. So we moved after a few dogs and people came in as her face was puffing up and it was very warm with the sun out there is a good selection of food to choose from and at reasonable prices. We waited a bit of time before we were asked what food and drinks we wanted. Drinks came in good time. Shame no ice was in them but the drinks were cold. The food took a bit of time but when it came looked nice. It tasted OK. Mine wasn't as hot as I would have liked but warm enough not to complain about. The flavours in both meals were nice but the broccoli I had was way to hard. But again I know its a personal thing some like it cooked soft and others like it hard. We felt it lacked any atmosphere. Could do with a bit of light music in the background. Would we go again. Unlikely. But you never know. Again prices ok. Clean. But lacking in atmosphere. There is a great play area for kids out side so good for a young family.

Really disappointed this time been a few times over last couple years , and not had any issues until now, I phoned to book a table in glass room but was told that we had been allocated one in a diff room, anyway we said we wanted to sit in the room we had booked so they sorted it but didn’t seem happy about doing it all , food came and wasn’t as nice as usually had fish and chips and peas which was cold , ordered a pudding and they came with 2 and said that was what we ordered lol , there was only one person behind the bar for a sat nite and was very busy , staff seemed confused on who was doing what half the time . Save to say I won’t be going again in near future .

Been going here since I was a little girl, and I would recommend it to anyone , family place, WONDERFUL staff and very very delicious food, my family has been using woodies bar for family events since I was a baby, we love it, and I know anyone reading this will aswell !!!

Had a Sunday carvery as did my partner and son which I would say was excellent value for money, the desserts were amazing, couldn't fault the staff, will be visiting again

Me and my Family visited the Restaraunt today for a Carvery. Unfortunately my young Sons suffers from Epilepsy, before we went into the building he had a drop Seizure on the patio. He fell face first onto the floor, and his nose exploded with blood. Brad the waiter was in front of him when he fell. He instantly rushed to him and held him showing absolute genuine worry and care for my Lad. The other staff were on hand rapidly with cloths and bags of ice. We took him to Urgent treatment where he was given the O.K. We decided to head back to the Restaraunt to have food and give our thanks. We were welcomed back in and had our meal which was beautiful. Such lovely people cant recomend enough!!! Thankyou

Waitress very rude and almost threw our meals on to the table. She then walked away without a word and left us without cutlery, I had to help myself from another table, maybe she just took a disliking to me or was having a bad day but it has left a negative impression on me, shame, as in the main it is a lovely place to dine in.

Very friendly staff even when busy, and that's quite often.

I've been there many times and had braised beef but the price it's gone from £11.99 to £13.99. And to my amazement the portion of the beef was very small. The gravy no red wine and the vegetables not to the standard of the times before. Frozen sweet not good.

Love woodys. Staff are so helpful and cheerful. Menus are good. Wide choice of food Clean and welcoming. Love the conservatory. Prices are good too. So well done and thank you to all the staff who work so hard and make you feel so welcome Highly recommend this place for a visit.

First time booked a table for Sunday lunch. Large menu and carvery to choose from .. Atmosphere was really good. Plenty for all the family. Kids park. Pool 🎱 for adults.. Busy place. Outside seating. Some under cover.. Dog friendly. Designated area for you and your dogs ...

Heating in part of building not working so restaurant not very warm to sit and enjoy a meal bit disappointed

Lovely setting staff very friendly and helpful. The food is ok. We usually dine outside but it was a bit chilly when we went two nights ago. We had the dog with us, so had to sit in the conservatory which is dog friendly. Unfortunately it was full of cigarette smoke that had obviously built up all day, and evening. We did close the door but we could still taste it, it spolit our meals. The smokers gather right outside the conservatory door. It would be nice if Management could put signs up, or a proper smoking shelter away from the building. I did send an e-mail but got no reply.

Woodys has gone down hill over the last few years, the staff seem unadaptable, 1 on the bar with 4 stood round on the food counter doing nothing! If they had half an ounce they would of jumped on the bar to help serve the people waiting! It appears that there is no communication as to what is going on With service on a night or on a day to day ?? We came for an 8 day stay but with our experience on the first day we didn’t go back, the food was second rate and both was like ready meals! Woodys need to look at local businesses that were a far better experience for us like the “Stables” and “the splash” , finally….. if you are still reading WASPS!!! Again, if we see 2 wasps at the splash or the stables then that is it! Year after year woodys struggle with wasps but yet it appears nobody else to this level! Woodthorpe leisure park and woodys has the footprint of a great and once was wonderful site! With the tiniest of adjustments I’m sure you guys can return this place to where it and it’s residents deserve it to be 😊

Came here with a couple of food allergies. Staff were good with it, and had discussion around it. I was given some coleslaw (egg allergy) that was safe! Waitress explicitly told me it was safe, when I naturally wanted to check. This was super important that I was told, not just presented with it. First place ever i was given this as an alternative - v happy customer

Very good menu and quality of food was excellant. Staff very helpful. Well laid out dining area with plenty of space, but I found the dining area rather noisey I think people with hearing aids would find it difficult to have a conversation at times.

Amazing food beautifully presented and a good price sandwich platters are fantastic! And a lovely friendly atmosphere!

Visited twice over the wèekend and the food both times was very good, the only issue I had was the onion rings were cold and I sent them back and they reappeared after being refried.Spoke to the Manager who immediately rectified the mistake and we were also given a discount off our bill along with a free dessert. Couldnt ask for better service than that.
