Woody’s Chargrilled Kebab in Glasgow City

I’ve been eating here since I was a kid and I feel as though the reviews are really harsh I’ve never had a single bad order here and the workers are really kind and constant giving me free sauces and other sides I highly recommend the salt and pepper chicken hoagie

Food was absolutely shocking it came all wet , soggy wasn’t enjoyable one bit my burger was riddled with onions. Do better

Ordered delivery (the family meal B.) Pizza was decent but that’s where it ended. Only six bits of vegetable pakora, no sauce (requested on phone), measly portion of chips, three tiny pieces of freezer garlic bread. This is supposed to be a family meal. Sad

Got a kebab that was cold they did replace it but with another that had barely any heat to it. They put the old one that I came back with into the pot with the rest 😬 unhygienic and just rude also the portions for the prices is just shocking.... Anywhere else you get stacks of meat on your kebab yet from here you get a few strands 🙄 Definitely wouldn't recommend and I know I wouldn't be ordering from there again.

If you buy a kebab, be prepared to have the smallest kebab of your life.

Go here almost every Friday good portions and good food.

It's a takeaway that makes food you'd expect from a takeaway, but does it quite well. They do provide ok service but sometimes only take cash. If you want some gritty takeaway food in maryhill, this isn't a bad shout.

Wouldn't know what the food tastes like as the employee taking my order hung up the phone because he was getting frustrated that I couldn't understand him, guess ill be sticking to the take aways that have manners, not like there's a shortage

How to start, guy who delivered the food pulled it from a glorified bin bag barking. King mixed kebab looked like it had been cooked on a radiator to say it was dry is being polite. The lamb could have chocked a horse could feel it pulling my fillings out. Chips came squashed and soggy in a paper bag. I thought surely things can’t get worse big bite out the what looks like frozen pizza, instead of the usual cheese pull I was playing tonsil tennis with a big dirty hair. Spat that out went for a tan of the juice and it’s hotter than the kebab wow barking

Bought a donner kebab very nice also bought a portion of chicken pakora I got 4 very dry pakora .very small .

I had the char grilled lamb and to be honest it was very very very very salty. They need to go easy on the salt because it will damage people's health.. and with regards to price it was almost the same price as a paesano! However I think the idea is that if they catch drunk people out of the pub then they won't be too bothered as to what they are paying. However it was not very good for people like me that had just done a very long healthy cycle.

A huge fan of their donner and fries. Always a perfectly cooked meat. Not to thick or with a texture of cardboard. (It happens) So deffo worth a shot of you are lookong for a nice takeaway.

Very poor! When my order eventually arrived after an hour and fifteen minutes, half of it was missing, and the half that turned up was cold and covered in solidified fat. When I called back to see what had happened, I got a stinking attitude from the manager. I won't be back!

I am self-isolating, went to Woody's for a kebab. A man handled raw meat and money with his gloved hand inbetween orders. Saw him serve 3 customers then take out my pita bread and poked to check if it was hot. I calmly told him he needed to change gloves. The owner came and told me they don't accept complaints, that I would get my order and was barred. Didn't even get right money back

Was told 30-40 minutes for delivery, showed up over an hour later and a call, order was wrong waited another 30 minutes for a replacement, they replaced the missing items and missed out other items will never order from them again.

Hands down the worst food I've eaten in Glasgow. My friend and I ordered a munchie box, pakora and a side of nachos. And this is where it took a turn... The nachos should have been spicy beef with cheese and salsa. Instead they seem to have seasoned the "beef" with talcum powder, should it have been any drier it could have been used as fire suppressant. I put beef in speech marks as I can't say with any real confidence that it was beef and not pedigree chum as it was rotten and attracted a lot of stray dogs. The munchie box was stone cold by the time it arrived, now I know that delivery time can differ but the use of a keep warm bag is common and this was not used , as upon opening the lid and picking up the chips I got frost bite as the chips were freezing cold. The nan bread could have been used for armour plating, and the only thing that could pierce it would have been the pakora that was served with it as it was teeth shatteringly solid. Will not be ordering again and I cannot emphasize enough why no one else should.

Aziz, the new owner (August 2019) is a really good guy, and will provide good food for you, go in and make a new friend! He was a respected chef in Paradise Persian restaurant until recently, but has now moved on to begin his own venture here in Maryhill.

Have used woodys regularly in its current form and a few years ago, food was great portions good but now after bumping their prices up ten percent the portions are smaller and quality decreased. Won't be back.

Rubbish! This is the worst food I have ever tried! And I tried it twice! What I see from their leaflets are delicious skewers and good fried chicken, but the things I got is dog-meat with roast bread. I have tried real Turkey food in London, but it won’t be like this! It’s disgusting and hard to swallow into. Believe me, do not not not go to this place, otherwise you will want to throw out all from you stomach!

the food is absolutely amazing!!!...portion sizes are huge and mega packed, totally worth every penny...the staff are really friendly...and to top it off the shop is spotless...everyone must give it a try and i promise u won't regret it!!!
