Excellent burger and friendly service

A lovely bar with incredible views only to be ruined by the staff running it. This couple have had the lease for this bar for the past few years and each year goes by it gets worse. They have no personality, charm or wit. I've seen a wet lettuce with more to say than these two. Trevornick needs to get rid of them and get someone in who brings charm and charisma to the place. It wants to be somewhere you want to visit and enjoy being there and have a laugh.

I'm sure this place is a delight, although as it is not open as advertised, and is a fairly long way from where we started our walk, in perranporth (10mile round walk), I can't in good conscience recommend it. The pub down the road is lovely though 😘 *Photo of it not being open at 18:30.

Aways had a great meal and the service is very good Atmosphere could let it down a little and there is a sealed window that needs replacing but still a great place to go and enjoy a meal

Woodys is excellent. One of my favourite places to go and chill out.

We were camping at Trevornick which is adjacent to Woody's. The venue is pretty small and despite advertised as Woody's Bar, is clearly trying to promote it's food offer. It resembles a well kept social club with no background music. Bizarrely, they have 90's music video's playing on the TV with no sound. Very odd, I can only assume it is something to do with the PRS licence. The food, when they serve it, is actually very good. Portion sizes and various tasty dishes including daily specials represents good value for money. The inconsistency of the food service is frustrating as you may wander in one day and be welcomed for a drink when they are not serving food. On others, they put reserved signs on all of the tables pushing drinkers outside. Not because they are actually reserved mind, but to deter drinkers from taking a seat inside. Dare to try and occupy a table during this period and what little hospitality there is goes downhill. Even if you do order food, those behind the bar, generally the owner and a lady who I can only assume to be his wife, are constantly glaring over from afar, prompting newcomers that the table may become available "soon" and thus making for a very uncomfortable and unwelcoming experience for families who have spent their money and may be enjoying a drink or two after their meal. I understand that these businesses need to make hay while the sun shines (ironic considering we've had one of the wettest and windiest summers in Newquay), but you have a captive audience willing to spend their money, would it hurt to be a little bit more respectful to your patrons? Overall, it's a nice place with good outside seating with stunning views over Holywell Bay. Worth a look if you're in the area.

Woody's did not impress when we first visited several years ago. How wrong can you be. Credit to the friendly staff, the food is excellent with a comfortable atmosphere . Not a bad view either.

Sunday teatime and planned fish and chips was a non starter as all shut, we decided to go to woodys for a bite to eat, well what can we say, the food was amazing, enjoyed every mouthful, my only criticism was it had to end, 10oz rump Miller and Carter standard by far, would highly recommend, very pleasent service also, they will be seeing us again !

Great place to stay out of the wind whilst your husband is playing golf. Open fire and a cuppa.

We were recommended trying out Woody's Bar it's wasn't what I was expecting when I walked in but that's not the point. The food was very good I had the southern fried chicken burger and my partner had the scampi and chips not a massive selection on the menu but when it was served there was plenty of food and wasn't left hungry at the end of it. The chips were lovely and crispy and the chicken burger was lovely and moist. Would definitely visit again when back in the area.

I work nearby and often in the summer will have my lunch here, especially if I've forgotten my sandwiches! The food is fantastic and very reasonably priced. The views are stunning and the staff are very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend.

Nice place to sit and have a drink after playing pitch and putt

Good food at reasonable prices and a lovely garden with views looking over the golf ⛳ course. After lunch a nice 20 minute walk though the sand dumes to the beach 🏖

Top notch little bar/restaurant to finish of a great round of pitch and putt for whole family. Be prepared these are some of the most amazing chips we’ve had and large portions too. Service has a via an excellent pre order app from your table and food was with us very quickly. Can’t rate highly enough

What a great little find. I was searching for somewhere for lunch on the way to Holywell bay and I came across this place. Great staff and lovely and extremely well priced food and it is in a lovely setting. You have views of the good course, the sea and gull rocks. Absolutely no complaints and we will be back.

Really slow service waited nearly an hour for food when it’s quiet outside. Poor/slow service.

Recently had a meal here, have to say it was truly awful. The chicken curry was disgusting, not sure if the meat was chicken at all, it was grey and green under the sauce! Felt very ill afterwards just, worse meal I have had in a long time. Such a shame as was looking forward to it. Also staff very rude and swore openly in front of children. Not happy to honour government eat out to help out on the soft drinks either!! Would never visit again. Not a good reflection on the main campsite.

Lovely place, gorgeous food and staff are lovely too

We holiday at Trevornick next door and always eat out here a couple of times four cheese gnocchi is gorgeous and other tasty dishes on menu good selection of drinks too not cheap so be careful if you have a large family otherwise nice and chilled out except when kids are off great views to gull rocks in holywell bay.
