Never fails to deliver hot, fresh, tasty fish and chips. Delivery drivers are polite and punctual.

Ordered Chicken Donor and chips. Good portion came with two sauce choices and salad. Fresh and enjoyed it.

Best fish n chips I have had in a long time fresh and clean

In the last couple of weeks, it looks like staff has possibly changed? But prices have remained at the raised price (raised two months ago), and portions have gotten considerably smaller. It used to be great.

My go to fish and chips, always fresh fish is cooked and the chips portions are very large. Lunchtime menu is also very affordable, friendly staff always go the extra mile!

Friendly delivery guy. Fishcake and gravy were delicious; chips were good, but not outstanding. Salt and vinegar included in packets. I've ordered from them before, and will do so again in the future.

"I had the unfortunate displeasure of visiting [Woods Fish Bar & KEBAB], and I must say, it was a disappointment from start to finish. The fish tasted like it had been sitting out for far too long, and the chips were soggy and bland. What's worse, the staff were incredibly rude and dismissive, showing no interest in providing even basic customer service. It's a shame that such a potentially delightful dish was ruined by both the quality of the food and the attitude of the staff. I would strongly advise against anyone wasting their time or money at this establishment."

With the new owners the food has gone downhill. Prices has gone up which is fine due to inflation but portions have halved. Really not impressed as I used to love this chippy

Amazing fish and chips I loved it

Had a large lamb shish kebab here - great value for basically a tenner - perfectly grilled lamb - seasoned well (think they used sumac), charred just right on outside and still juicy on the inside, meat was nice and tender. Had standard onion and red cabbage salad, and chip shop chips (which I had instead of rice) which were good, but other really nice thing was the thin Turkish flatbread which had a great bite to it and had this seasoning which gave it kind of a pizza flavour. Staff were friendly too. 10/10 for 10 quid - boshhh.

I’m sure the food would’ve been lovely, had it had arrived on time, ;but it was quite significantly late and I could see that the courier was taking the scenic route and had somehow gone onto the other side of the carriageway which must’ve confused them. Unfortunately the food was cold. The chips were very slightly tepid, but everything else was cold .So a treat turned into a disappointment.

Three beautiful pieces of fish (two cod. one rock) , huge, fresh and lovely crisp batter. Good chips although unfortunately a little cold. Overall a very enjoyable meal at a reasonable price.

When you support this fish & chips shop by paying £13.75 during this cost of living crisis period in exchange for large Cod dinner & you receive brown coloured fish flesh coated with the batter that is full of oil & so crunchy after it’s been re-fried, it’s disappointing. Equally disappointing, when I spoke to the owner “Has”previously, it was agreed to talk to him instead of leaving my honest review. Now, the owner “Has” reneges on a an agreement, did not do what he agreed to do today, that is to replace the fish. Shame.

Last time i ordered the food was good. This time meat was very spicy and dry. The saveloy looked very dark in colour and didn’t look very good so did not eat in case of being unwell. Will not order this food again. Shame

Cod a bit small but fresh chips nearly perfect not dry , children play area is bonus

The best chippy in East London by far and I've tried them all. There are others that equal Woods on quality but not on price, and the staff are excellent. I always come out smiling.

Pretty sure the pies had been microwaved to heat them up. Instead of being crispy they were really soggy. Couldn't eat the pastry at all.

The best staff - they interact with you and treat you like a friend and not a customer, really love it each time I come here. The price is Good and the food is better, the best burgers I've ever eaten, and the chips are outstanding, the kebab is freshly made, the shish kebab, just like the burger is cooked on coal and it's the best food you'll eat for a fair price! Over all you won't be disappointed with anything, you can bring in your own wine or beer in my. experience I've never been told no, it's a lovely place and lovely food Edit: (Forgot to mention that the place is extremely clean and you got sauces as well as salt pepper and vinegar at your table to use as u please)

Wow wow wow just tried the lamb chops they are probably the best lamb chops I have had. We eat in here weekly and the food is always exceptional. Bonus you can bring your own wine! We love it here.

Top Quality Chippy in South Woody! We are so lucky to have these guys down the road from us. The food is always on point, being very tasty and cooked exactly how you want it. My wife likes the chips to be cooked a little bit extra and they always provide amazing chips during every visit we have made. The fish are top quality too. The lads are super friendly too and make you feel at ease when you enter. It’s almost like you’ve known them all your life and they are always willing to help with whatever it is you may need. The entire shop, kitchen, table and serving area are super clean! I’ve never actually seen a cleaner chippy than Woods. They are always on it and have a 5/5 hygiene score. As I was passing by one evening I waved to say hi and as I did they stopped me and asked me to come over into the shop. They had an unwrapped free kebab to give me due to it being left from a previous customer who no longer wanted it. The fact that they made the effort to call me over to give it to me was a really nice gesture. The kebab was amazing, especially with it being free of charge too. Highly recommend them if you’re around in the area and fancy a chippy.

First order was good 2nd order poor, they hardly put any sauce and I even asked for extra in the message. The price has also gone on by £2 since last order. It was value at £13 and only £15 in my opinion, if they get the order right, which they haven't nailed yet.

I've been searching high and low for a mix donner wrap worth paying £10-15 for and this is the place. The size was massive, the meat was good, the sauce was good but I think they could of added more gallic sauce/ but overall solid 4/5. I will order again.

Always good fish and chips here, we get it once every week or fortnight. Chips are old school, which is great and the fish always fresh out the fryer. Once a month we'd get the mixed doner, it's the best in the area. Staff are always friendly. Highly recommended

We just stayed at Woods tonight. We took two portions of takeaway fish and chips, both the fish and the fries were of very good quality. The portions are generous and the staff are very nice. I recommend this place to everyone!
