I recently had the pleasure of visiting Woodrow Chippy, and I can confidently say it was one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in a long time. I went there today with my friend and her family, and from the moment we arrived, everything was absolutely fantastic. First off, the service deserves a solid 10/10. The staff were incredibly welcoming and made us feel right at home as soon as we walked through the door. They greeted us with warm smiles, and it was clear they were genuinely passionate about what they do. They were not only polite but also very helpful, offering recommendations and taking the time to ensure we had everything we needed throughout our visit. It’s rare to find such friendly and attentive service these days, and I truly appreciated it. Now, let’s talk about the food – it was nothing short of amazing. I’ve had my fair share of fish and chips, but the quality at Woodrow Chippy is on another level. The fish was perfectly cooked, with a beautiful golden, crispy batter that didn’t overpower the delicate, flaky fish inside. Each bite was pure perfection, and you could tell it was made with care and the freshest ingredients. The chips were equally impressive – golden, crispy on the outside, soft and fluffy on the inside, and perfectly seasoned. The portions were generous, and every dish was served piping hot, which made it even more enjoyable. What stood out even more was the consistency in quality. Every dish we ordered was just as good as the last, and it was clear that the team at Woodrow Chippy take immense pride in what they serve. Was closed on arrival. Google says open at 4:30 Sunday. Ridiculous!

I'm so upset to witness bullying by the owner to a young serving girl. If you're going to hire youngsters expect to teach them. The poor girl was really withdrawn, I would be too. So sorry for her. Won't be visiting again. Calling someone useless and telling her what's the point as you completely take over. Disgusting behaviour, sort yourself out. Ashamed to witness it. I'd forget if someone asked for salt and vinegar too if I had to deal with that abuse. Credit to the soft spoken young girl who just got on with it as graciously as she could.

Was told about this place by a friend and decided to go check it out. Nice and clean, atentitive staff, asked to plaster my kebab with mayo and mint sauce and they provided which was excellent. Will be coming back for more, so prepare to dispense another tub of mayo woodrow chippy! I'm excited to get my next meal as the taste was spot on, It's better than the chippy up on Studly Road. The staff who served me were kind, friendly, and conversive. The regular chips were freaking huge... the spring rolls, although brilliant, weren't really what I like-however, I ordered two just in case I do like them. It turns out they're not like the spring rolls I've had in Longbridge-Birmingham when I was a kid. I'm not sure what the ingredients were at the old chippy i used to go to, so i'm still on a mission to find a place that does the spring rolls I enjoy. The mixed kebab was delightfully delicious especially with the mayo/mint. The person who served me had a very happy go lucky personality, which is a breath of fresh air. Definitely will recommend to others.

Was up this area looking after friends dogs . As am not from this area from Bristol South.. myself used the chippy twice both time served with kindness and asked if wanted sait vinger on my order . Both times had the menu for £6 that's included large sausages plain or batt a fish cake and curry and chips . I find this price was worth it and very nice it was .

My husband just came back with the best piece of cod I have had in a long time.he had roe and chips which he enjoyed.will definitely be using this chippy again .highly recommended.thanks to all at Woodrow chippy

Fantastic service and friendly staff

Bought a special of kebab meat and chips. Fabulous portion size but the meat was Stone cold and had obviously been cut some time before. I ended up throwing it away. Very disappointed

Went to Woodrow chippy for the first time today, as my local Church hill chippy was closed until new year. The chips were really nice, and barely any grease on them at all, and the cod was cooked nicely too, all the way through to the middle, generous portion sizes of the chips, and the cod (we had a large) was absolutely massive, I would say it was about the size of my feet (size 11/12)! We all enjoyed it, and the staff were really pleasant and smiley too. Would highly recommend

Visited here last week when I had there chicken pie and chips, v good....visited Woodrow Chippy again tonight as parked in the area and had there 3 piece southern fried chicken meal, absolutely fabulous, every thing was how it should be: great service(with a smile), fantastic chicken, brilliant chips, nice salad. As for the price spot on....KFC eat your heart out this is how it should be done....spot on thankyou.

The fish was big enough for two and tasted amazing, nicely cooked. The chips were the best i had for a long time. I will be calling in regularly from now on. By the way, thanks for a nice service.

My complaint isn’t with the food but the attitude of the staff. I asked for fish cakes as it was my fishes birthday and they told me the fish cakes was not edible for fishes! This is not true as my fish Nemo has them ever year. They then refused to serve me and kicked me out threatening to batter me if I returned!

Everytine I go in ask what I like chicken and chips sorry no chicken ok something else sorry no chips you whate you chippy not going cook chips 3 times this has happened now so forget that place

Best chippy in all of Redditch! I drive 4 miles out of my way to go here. Huge potions, always well cooked, nice big pieces of fish and their cleanliness standards are beyond reproach.

Not that much of a fan of this place as hygiene lacks a very eminent amount of care; the chef seems trained enough with the service having a wide amount of foods, mainly fish and chips.

Just had 3 times chicken and chips in a box, only got a few chips and as for the chicken there would have been more meat on a sparrow, definitely not worth the money and still hungry , wouldn't use again

I went there and the service was bad and the person that was cooking the food wiped a nife across the bin and cut another onion with the same nife it’s aporling and also when I got home my food was freezing as it took them so long to serve

Discussing is an understatement went there for lunch and had large Doner meat and chips the chips must have been reheated in the mircowave and for the kebab it was burnt and it did not taste anything like donner meat should
