Great food and drink. Barman Calvin very good, food service from a lovely young lady called Millie. I'll be back. Would recommend this place to everyone.

I stopped off for a meal late Saturday afternoon. Our meal was so much better, as the beautiful girl that served us was AMAZING. I didnt know what I wanted, she made suggestions on the sizzlers and sauces, and just so helpful and friendly, it makes me want to eat there all the time now. Popped in for a drink and was greeted by a very pleasant young man called Callum, served me a lovely pint of beer. Went back to the bar and a lovely young lady called kelela, hope I spelt that right. Greeted me with a bing smile and pulled a lovely pint. I had a lovely experience and as arne said, I'll be back.

Always here with the family especially for special occasions and couldn’t fault it we did have one small issue with one of the dinners but it was rectified straight away! Came here for a family meal of 10 people. It was a very enjoyable and pleasant time had by all. All our food was cooked to order. Charlie on the till was very helpful and friendly and helped us with our order. All the staff was friendly and helpful

Meal was a good standard, cheap and cheerful. Carys the waitress, listened to our request to relocate our table to indoors (as it was chilling off) and all went smoothly - we felt she was polite, efficient and a good communicater.

The staff seemed genuinely happy - really good atmosphere. Alan insisted on bringing our drinks over and Rowan thoughtfully looked after us. Nothing was too much trouble. Enjoyed the burger too.

Me and my 3 friends went for dinner and we were served by Charlie. Not only was the food great, but his service was as well. He was really friendly and always checked up on our table. Thank you Charlie.

Been here twice once last year and this evening. Both times the food has been near inedible. Had the burger grill and the only thing work eating was the steak. Chicken wings were pale and greasy as was the burger and chips. Will not be returning for food again.

Went to the wedge as its a local of mine, as always the staff are really friendly and kind, the manager is always in happy spirits and the pints are perfection, atmosphere is great, and have no negative feedback. If you want a cheap pint with good atmosphere then the wedge is the place to be.

Booked a table for 5 for Anniversary meal based on reviews. Never been before. Clearly not ready for us . Table sticky . Floor dirty. Decor on walls just full of filler. Broken glass door very disappointed and didn't stay to eat . We left for a better venue . Wouldn't go back.

We decided to go for an impromptu meal for my father’s 75th birthday. We did not book a table and turned up as a party of 12 and two babies! Charlie (staff member) was so accommodating and helpful, going above and beyond to move furniture around so we could be seated together. All the staff were warm and friendly, with nothing being to much to please us. The food came out at the same time with each meal being warm and tasty. Today my wife and I. Pop in to the pub for a drink . And was greated my callum. He came over to our table . Whilst collecting glasses. And he was one of the most polite persons that we have met in a long time . He made our day . What a credit to the pub . Keep up the hard work callum. And keep smiling

Me and my 2 children came today and I have to say the staff we really helpful and friendly. The food however did not match this. It was really quite poor. The chicken for the children’s wrap wasn’t very nice, was dry. and the lasagne and garlic bread was something I could not even get half way through. The lasagne was rock hard in places and didn’t taste very good, and the garlic bread was soggy and again the taste was not great. We used to come here weekly for our family lunch or dinner and I unfortunately we will not be returning again.

Came here on Thursday evening with my family . I have to the say the food was very good value for money. The food came out very quick even though the restaurant was very busy . Each of our meals were hot and fresh and generous portion sizes .We have visited this restaurant a few times and each time it has been very good . Stopped by as a family for a drink after having a curry from a nearby restaurant. Initially had to wait for over 10 mins at the bar with no acknowledgment from anyone. Finally served and we sat outside. Every table bar the one we managed to sit at were completely covered in several different customer’s drinks and food leftovers. It started to rain so we moved inside. Quickly found a table however wish we hadn’t. Old food from previous occupants all over the floor, table sticky and the radiator behind had seen better days. Basically looked like it either needed a re-paint or removing! Son bought some sweets from the little machine and after attempting to eat them found they were rock solid and stale and we noticed they went out of date that month! . My son politely informed a waitress of this. She said she would speak to the manager but never returned. Used the toilets and 2 out of 3 urinals were blocked and full with urine. The water to wash your hands with was also scolding hot - luckily my partner tested it before my son did. The smell as soon as you entered the toilet was beyond words. Upon leaving the premises we were greeted with empty beer bottles dumped in the flower pots. Not a pleasant experience unfortunately.

Came for lunch. We were ignored at the entrance for quite a while , no acknowledgement from a bar staff member who had clearly seen us . Eventually a waitress pointed to a table for us to sit at. The table only had one chair so we pulled one over from another table . The table itself was sticky and not pleasant . We ordered on the apps and the drinks came promptly. The waitress came with cutlery and condiments - the knives were filthy with remnants of old food on. The food itself was not good - over cooked salmon and wilting salad . Not a place I would want to return to . This is no reflection of the waitress however who was friendly and polite throughout .

From the minute we walked in we had the warmest greeting from the lovely man on the door. The food and drinks arrived really quickly and was amazing!!! My son (10) fell in love with the very beautiful waitress and it was at such a reasonable price. What a lovely lovely evening!! Would really recommend a visit. Beautiful evening and the kids loved the little park there too!

Watched the England games here and the atmosphere was brilliant. Mark and his staff were top class. Social distance rules observed. Really good food at decent prices. Drinks ordered via app and brought to the table in less than a minute. Great job guys!!

The Woodlands edge has always been somewhere that I’ve visited often but since the new management have taken over I can honestly say it’s the best it’s ever been. With these difficult times of social distancing these guys really have it sussed. Whilst maintaining regulations they really know how to treat their customers and what more how to treat the loyal locals. Staff are friendly and have absolutely superb efficiency to go with it. During the Euro’s I couldn’t have wished for a better pub to visit and the staff have made that what it is. The food is fantastic and service is a 10/10. Mark has got a really good thing going there and should be proud of what he’s achieved.

Came in for their £5 steak Mondays....greeted with a lovely lady Courtney, smiles and extremely helpful. Nothing was too much trouble as I'm fussy with my food they changed things and cooked it to how I like it. Were fantastic with the kids bringing colouring over and putting it on the wall. Our first family meal out for two months due to the covid restrictions in place and it was thoroughly worth the wait. Greeted by a friendly girl who politely asked us to scan the track and trace app and sanitise our hands. We were shown our table and it was great to see other families, fully social distanced, all tucking in to their food. My 3 kids were given colouring sheets and pencils which always helps when having to wait for service and then then food, but within 2 minutes of being seated, we again had pleasant waitress take our drinks orders. When she returned we told her we were ready to order our food choices and again, within 2 minutes we had ordered. Considering there were quite a few customers, our food was with us in 10 minutes. It was piping hot and all meals were served at the same time. The meals were fantastic and tasty and all plates were cleared. We couldn't hang about due to my youngest being tired and the bill was brought to us as soon as we asked. For £43 including drinks, 5 hungry people were all fed and watered and super happy. The place is amazing value for money but the food is superb and the staff also. Our new place to go for a lovely, safe, non expensive meal out. Thoroughly enjoyed and booking again for this weekend.

Took the children here for lunch. Staff were friendly, Covid precautions were followed and the place was very clean. Good size portions...I love the halloumi and the burgers are amazing. The kids meal deals are excellent value for money and deserts are great as well.

I’ve been coming to this venue for years ... it’s family friendly and with extended serving hours it’s great any time of the day. I eat here at least twice a month, it’s a large venue so have always been lucky enough to get a table without booking ahead. I Usually eat alone and find the atmosphere relaxing and warm. The staff are really friendly and welcoming without being intrusive. The food is good and more importantly reliable. I can for lunch with my partner on a Saturday early afternoon. We frequently have visited previously but haven’t been back often since covid. However, on return you could tell all staff were trained and following government COVID guidelines, as well as still keeping a calm and happy throughout demeanour! We were sat quickly, asked if we would prefer app ordering or table service, and once ordered food came out quickly and whilst still very hot and full of flavour. You could tell the food is cooked very fresh and to specific order and the portions are massive for the little/moderate pricing you will pay. Highly recommended!

Let’s start with the positives. Quick food service , lots of it and very covid aware so the whole experience was safe and controlled. Negative part of the experience COURTNEY. It’s a shame you employ people like this to manage the staff and deal with customers. Our experience went wrong within 5 minutes of arriving. Above the bar is a clear sign saying “ Prosecco Fridays and Saturdays £9.99”.We ordered two bottles and the wonderfully mannered and polite member of staff Gary ( a credit to the team) explained with the bottle in hand that the offer was not on anymore. Would we like it for £12.99 instead. We explained it was false advertising and would like to speak to the manager. About 10 minutes later over Courtney came and tried to tell us the bottles were out of stock and they were waiting for a delivery. This couldn’t be so as Gary had a bottle with him? She rolled her eyes then huffed back to the bar area. She pulled Gary aside and said within our ear shot and others at the bar “The next time you take a bottle over you’re paying for it”. Shameful and disappointing as it clearly wasn’t his fault, it was just she was caught out lying. The manager came and resolved the trouble and the rest of our evening was great. To conclude great place and food some of the middle management need retraining on how to communicate with others. If Courtney had not of spoken to us or Gary in such a power trip ego manner it would’ve been a 5 rating however she brought down our whole experience.

This was my 3rd visit with my wife and friends for the Big Plate Special and it didn't disappoint, the food was well cooked with plenty of it, I've tried the steak, fish and chips and the gammon steaks all very well presented and flavoursome, washed down with an excellent glass of Abbots Ale with a friendly welcome from Daggie what more could you ask for a pleasantly spent early afternoon well done Woodlands Edge fully recommended.
