Woodend Fish Bar in Aberdeen City

Ordered mince pie supper. Chips were ok. Pie was solid never finished eating it as not nice

Ordered a steak pie and got a mince pie very soggy everything else was fine

The driver complained how far away I was. I also had to go and find him because he went to the wrong block of flats. Very rude and was made to feel like a huge inconvenience for him

Food was lovely & my 4 year old loved the fizzy bubblegum juice , bottle is fabulous add on compared to most kids meals in other places that are that plastic cup rubbish , sweeties lovely touch too, thank you.

Haddock was a bit dry disappointing chips were poor

I ordered 2 x large haddock on recommendation that it was good ! Instead the fish was more like whiting completely tasteless definitely not haddock ! Very disappointing considering the price I paid ! Again I know what haddock should taste like .

Order was wrong. I phoned the restaurant to tell them and they said sorry then hung up.

I ordered a black pudding supper. Really tasty, full of flavour. I would definitely recommend Woodend Fish Bar.

ordered a white pudding, got a haggis , was so hungry after waiting over 30 past delivery time I just ate it but also very greasy ,won't be returning

One wrap had no salad and cheese, just the chicken. The other wrap had rib and salad but no cheese. Didn't get the free can of juice that Just Eat said I'd get. Bit disappointed with our first order. felt it was very slap dash.

All the food was lovely and fresh and really good portion sizes will definitely come again

order from here loads, tonight was terrible. chips under cooked, everything else was incredibly greasy. delivery driver waited in the shop for 35 minutes before being able to get our order. won't be ordering from here for a while

The burger was as hard as a brick, my dog even turned his nose up at it. Nothing else to do, than to put it straight in the bin.

Best chip shop in Aberdeen . Chips are amazing and fish cooked perfectly.

The onion rings were cold and the batter had fell off and in a mushy mess 🫣 Other items were fine

chips were hard beyond chewable. burgers very dry and the fryers service was rude. swearing infront of customers isn't acceptable

According to the first time slot. order was ment to be here by 19.30 was then moved another two times final time was 19.45-20.05. As for the food, chicken was dry, king rib was dry and the footlong sausage was dry ( they all got put in bin) small sausage, red pudding and chips were all edibale (just). Don't know what happened tonight as food normally really nice from Woodend Chip Bar.

Use this chipper regularly for my pensioners fish& chips.Thought it was time to write a review about my experience.This is likely the most consistent chipper I’ve came across in a long time.Tonight’s meal was as per usual,excellent.Congratulations to all staff,you should be very proud of yourselves. Not happy with the food as the king ribs were overpowering with grease & the buns were like bricks not ideal at all.

Food was excellent from Woodend chipper

Pie & chips arrived cold!! Only good thing was the 2 pickles. It was for my partner, if I’d known I would have phoned and asked for a fresh pie & chips, but I wasn’t home and the food got put in the bin. A refund would be nice and a response to this feedback.

Very friendly staff all clean freshly made really fine food can't wait till it opens again after a revamp on the 13th of June 2024

They cocked up - single fish but had asked for a fish supper! Rung them and told I get drive in and get a bag of chips tomorrow!!! Won’t be back!!!

We’ve used this chippy for many years and it has changed hands a few times over the years.. There steak pies used to be the absolute best, tonight’s not so much, bits of fat over the beef yuk, puts me right off,won’t order that again…

Omg husband ordered chipsteaks for our tea tonight and honestly when he got them home an hour ago they were absolutely swimming in grease! The paper trays chipsteaks were on were covered in grease. So much so I tried to blot on kitchen towel. Used 6 sheets and were still so greasy ended up putting in bin. Will never ever use this chipper again. Definitely would not recommend still feel sick at thought of all grease on chipsteak. Was looking forward to my chipper tea. Never again!

Tasty traditional fish and chips. As some of the reviews say was a tad greasy, but still very tasty. Portions a bit small compared to others, but was enough for us. Would definitely order again.

Ingredients of the wrap were good but the wrap itself was stale and hard, inedible. Burger was poor, expected some lettuce and tomato in the bun.

On a cold, dark & wet night this is the best chipper going. Delish fish, delish chips & even better is to wrap delish batter round a delish chip to eat. Now we're stuffed

Delivery was excellent but didn't enjoy food. Pie very greasy inside and lettuce was all brown in the chicken burger.

Chewy chips covered in black type dots. Fish was as chewy and dry as a bone!! Only 20% was consumed. Never in my 57 years of life have I experienced “chewy” fish AND chips… absolutely mawful food. These have either been re-cooked/reheated or the cooking oil needs changed.

Disappointed, I usually get an excellent fish supper here, I ordered a large haddock supper, well, the fish was anything but large, It had fairly obviously been cut in half (Unless they caught an anorexic fish of course) I don't think I'll bother ordering here again.
