Wood Street Indoor Market in Waltham Forest

Lovely little market place that's surprising bigger inside when you walk through. So many great folks from the community here too, genuinely glad I found this place. I always keep coming back to look for books, vinyl, coffee and antiques.

An arcade of little treasures. Highly recommend Pixi's 80s bar.

This is an odd place and a bit of a throw back to what Walthamstow used to be like before the gentrification started at pace. There are some quite nice and interesting little businesses in the market. Unfortunately there are also far too many stalls selling useless crap, passed off as ‘vintage’. If the owners properly curated the space and the stall holders this could be a real gem. But like so many of the trad local businesses it needs a bit of a rethink.

Walthamstow’s best kept secret :)

A indoor market with a horseshoe layout that is tightly lined with a variety of tiny shops offering handicrafts and vintage items. There is also a handful of cafes.

I haven't been to Wood street for ages so it was a pleasant surprise. There were all kinds of cool clothes, shoe, pottery shops and much more. Definitely worth a visit for something quirky!

What a cute little market! Barely anyone in there when I visited so got to look at everything in peace. There's a nice variety of shops and something for everyone. Lot's of books, Cd's and records in several shops for music lovers...I got a nice bargain. Shop keepers seem a friendly bunch. Markets like this are a real treat these days. Forget your fancy corporate chains...give me indpendent, unique shops with real people any day.

Amazing little gem in walthamstow. Full of amazing little stores, with good food, loads of vintage stores and way way more. Worth a browse, you never know what you will find.

Quirky and worth a look if your in the area, but most shops are selling random bits and bobs.

Quirky and cool secret gem of vintage clothing, music and bric a brac mini shops as well as cafes and bars, all housed in an old cinema.

Interesting place, if you like film posters there's a little shop with some great original film posters.

Returned to the market and purchased several items from Betty June flowers very good quality and beautifully done the owner was very helpful and even made a bouquet in front of me using flowers I chose great stuff and style

Would have given it 5 if more stalls were open, visit was Saturday morning. Good variety of items for sale, antiques, leather goods, vinyl , books , clothes, and even garden goods. All the stall holders were very pleasant and helpful. There is also an amazing supermarket almost next door with a really good food selection.

Such a brilliant collection of little independent retailers. Would love to do my Christmas shopping here for unique presents. Most shop owners were very helpful too.

A hidden gem. An array of local businesses which I still haven't explored in depth yet. In the past few weeks, I've handed jewellery to be repaired, had my brows done and purchased something from a toy shop. I enjoy supporting local businesses and you can't go wrong dropping some of your dough in here!

I had the best vegan curry from this little restaurant, Stow grab and go. Price is extra reasonable and I’ll definitely will go back again. 🥰

Awesome market lots to do and see vey quirky shops a must go see. A wide range of shops under one roof. Lot Eight Antiques, Tokens, Treats gift shop and Mrs Tinsley Vintage. Brilliant Vinyl shops such as Rays Records, Bens Records, Mikes Records. Artisan shops such as Moroccan Corner, art shop Artworks E17 and Reel Store. Clothing such as Sustainable Style By SK and Vintage Tony, Rinkies Toys and lets not forget the legendary Homies On Donkies who serve awesome foods daily.

Anu for eyebrows is the best! Also Kay and her vintage clothing shop really are great value. Reelstore is so worth a visit. A true movie lovers heaven dedicated to the art of cinema

Great indoor shops, wonderfull people

Good little indoor market lots of independent shops ,tuck away in wood street , if you don't live near wood street you wouldn't know it's there , it is worth a visit if you are going the village .

Unprofessionals and fakes work here. APPALLING behaviour from Anu (Beauty @ Anu). Not only does she talk on the phone whilst doing eyebrows, she told me off for knocking on her door. I was only doing what the sign on her door says to do. She then rudely confronted me about my review which simply reflected the poor service that I received, whilst allowing her friends to get involved! Inappropriate. She then deleted my review. Her glowing reviews clearly are not genuine! I would advise you to get your beauty treatments elsewhere, where you will not get disrespected. I would also beware of the charlatan who claims to help solve your problems with a certain amount of money.

visited a few days ago with kids and there wasn't much in there and overpriced items...much better when i visit a few years ago ..shame

Not all shops open but a nice little place apart from the prices Expensive & not everything labeled vintage is !! So be careful

Great place for knickknacks, browsing, getting your watch fixed and your eyebrows threaded!

What a beautiful hidden gem. Full of unexpected little charming shops selling unusual clothing, handmade jewellery & leather bags; Moroccan ceramics etc. A few Hair Salons too. We found all the owners of the few spaces we visited charming, friendly & easy to communicate with. And the best surprise of all in this Aladdin's cave was a Caribbean Restaurant called "GV Secret Garden". They're Caribbean Infusion Pizzas are like no other & will leave you with tears of joy - with 'Fresh ingredients and a light base'; the Curry Goat, or Jerk Chicken or Sea Bass Pizzas will transport you to those tranquil blue & magnificent Caribbean Islands and leave you wanting more...

Lots of variety in there, its a quaint community of small buisnesses. I love the record shop.

Really great indoor market with a variety of shops, from antique to vinyl to baby wear! Absolutely stop off at the mexican food place: Homies on Donkey's, you won't be disappointed!

Great range of independent stalls; antiques, vintage clothes, hairdressers, food stalls etc. Well worth an hour or 2 of anyone's time.

A lovely indoor market on Wood Street with an eclectic mix of product, however not all the shops were open which was a shame.

A lovely friendly indoor market of independent traders. Vintage, food, vinyl and decor. Particularly love Moroccan Corner, lovely shop of treasures including rugs, and at the back of the market, Stow n'go serves delicious Pakistani food.

Amazing market, a hidden gem in London. A lot of trinkets and toys to get. Lovely mixture of shops Moroccan pottery, colourful rugs, toy figurines, antiques, old CD/Disc collectives, the green room with fabulous garden decorative, food stalls, designer clothing shop S&K, plant shop, florists, vintage tony to name some. Get your camera to film the vintage market and an amazing day out in E7.

An absolute gem!!! Karma 121 is our fave, the ladies are amazing humans and the range is magical.

Claustrophobic but heaven for hardcore small flea market browsers to rummage around (elbow room permitting) some of the niche stalls, second hand record and the comic memorabilia shop is always worth a look among the plethora of vendors, also spare a thought for the "hidden street" in the alleyway by the market entrance, inside you will find a narrow thoroughfare flanked by quirky period style shops with a cute hidden garden at the rear, it's just a crying shame it's barely ever noticed.

Visted Karma 121 a spiritual shop owned by Maria. This is wonderful shop packed with hundreds of gifts, spiritually charged sprays, crystals, candles, incense and many many more other gems! It has a feel good feeling when entering but can become busy so try to go early. If your after and readings or workshops thats something that is offered as they have a private room as well. It's an amazing shop and the advice given by Maria is spot on. Have a look!

We had a great experience at Y.Wait Nail Bar in the Georgian Village. It is soo much more than nails. Check it out. The staff are lovely.

A great shop, a very friendly seller, The shop is pretty far from London centre but it's just little incovenience as I managed to find plenty of worthy items there.

One of London's hidden gems. A traditional market with the bonus of being indoors so user friendly on those wet days. I did the whole of my Christmas shopping here. Classic toys, vintage goods, vinyl, dress hire, bespoke handmade soft toys, cakes for occasions, cakes to indulge in straight away with a coffee, fashion, 40's, 50's, 60's antiques, picture framing and jeweler plus much more.

I didn't know that this market even existed until earlier this year and I loved it on my first visit! Since then I have taken a small unit selling vintage clothes and household items. There is a good mix of other shops including artist studios, furniture restoration, framing, antiques and home made accessories. A fabulous cake and patisserie shop due to open shortly, a pop up coffee shop on Sundays and a Vegan and juice bar opening in the next week all bringing a good buzz to the market. Currently Chinese whispers are abound with hints that the neon sign business 'Gods Junk Yard' would like to trade from the market. This will be very good for the market bringing both business and publicity to both the market and the area! Come along and visit the market it may surprise you!
