The family and I have been going for many years, never had any bad experiences - the food is fresh and very nicely cooked! Amazing people! ☺️

Messed up a vegetarian takeaway order which I double checked by repeating the order whilst on the phone. Called once collected to say they had given a meat rice noodle dish and the waitress tried to imply it was my fault. Asked to speak to a manager and the person put the phone on the side and started taking another customers order instead. Gave up holding. Very poor customer service. Won’t be back

Benn going for many years - probably the best chinese ive had in essex so far, would definitely recommend! The new owners are very kind and quality of their services are 👍🏼

It was my first time trying local chinese takeaway and the staff were really understanding and the food was really good for the price.

My own experience has been one to treasure. The staff are incredibly polite as well professional. They all are extremely approachable and knowledgeable with deciding on the option you would like to have for your meal . There is a wide range of meals as well as vegetarian meals which are specifically stated. I have ordered from this company on many occasion and each time I have always enjoyed my food. The food is outstanding and I love every bit of it! The love that is given to this food shows in the love they have for their job. I would extremely recommend this place it is fantastic and will be ordering from this restaurant again.

We have a takeaway from here weekly and they are consistant in taste and competively priced. They take payment by cards as well. Chinese takeaways as we know it.

Missing dishes after waiting over an over for delivery, food that we did get was lukewarm and the shredded beef was gross.

If I could this place 0 stars I would. We went for fish and chips and the selection of food is so poor. We recieved under cooked sausages that were very poor quality didn’t even taste like meat and chips that were obviously re cooked. Avoid this place!

Food is below standard get Chinese once a week from tasty house. That was closed so tried this, got salt and pepper ribs which they battered and fried they where dry and tough. Mixed starter was cold and they just put sea weed in a corner rather than seperating. It come to £60 and if I'm only spend £60 at my local Chinese tasty House I have loads left. Unfortunately I won't be using these again. The mini pancake rolls were overcooked the best thing was the curry it's not a greasy Chinese it's just not the best in Brentwood

The food was so dry it had been cooked at least a week ago. Most of it was thrown away. £55 for about 6 dishes. Would not recommend

The chips was hard as thow there been there for hours and just warmed through the egg fried rice was hard and the rest of the order wasn’t as it should be

We opted to collect our takeaway, recommended by the campsite owners. Best we've ever had. Having leftovers for breakfast.

Delivery 45 minutes later than were told food absolutely awful chips hard cold and dark brown chicken bouncy chicken balls well over cooked and greasy all of it literally inedible. portion sizes tiny then to top it off missing food from order when asked for the money to be returned for the missing items we was short changed wongs used to be really nice now disgusting never will i buy from this place again id rather eat cold beans on toast

Food was cold, bright orange, very salty, seaweed was mainly sugar and the tofu wet and soggy. Most went in the bin :(

Had a great meal from Wong’s with my family tonight! The delivery came quickly, the deliverer was lovely, and the food was yummy and great value for money. Would recommend, perfect for a Saturday night takeaway :)

Proper old school, down to earth home cooked Chinese food. If you prefer food to how it tastes rather than how it looks give this one a try.

Food was amazingly fresh with nice steamed cruncy veg a d te der chicken and beef.. not a drop of grease or oil in sight, I would go as far as saying one of the best in the country.. super fast delivery, everything is well packaged in order to prevent the food from.sweating and being sloppy.. the chefs clean put love in to their cooking!.. thank you.. couldn't recommend highly enough!

Best Chinese in Brentwood area.

OK this was new years eve but I was told that my order will take 1½hours to deliver, but was told if we collected it would be even quicker. Told to come up to thr restaurant in an hours time and it would be ready. My husband waited an extra hour up there in the entrance hall. So all in all took 2 hours to cook. Not happy and all we got offered was a can of coke 🤦‍♀️£50 order.. never again!

Awful service. Ordered at 6pm. Told it would an be just over an hour. When i chased them hey said it was in a car being delivered. Total lie. At 8.15 Im then told a load of nonsense. Got a refund BUT would not recommend at all. Used to be okay. Now avoid.

Me and my family have been using Wongs for the past few years and it has never disappointed (unlike many Chinese takeaways in Brentwood). We usually get their special fried rice with fresh chillis, chicken and sweetcorn soup, dry ribs, chicken balls with sweet and sour sauce, and chicken chow mein. For someone who is used to London Chinese takeaway (which is completely different from most Essex Chinese takeaway) it is tasty and the best I’ve had within this area.

The food that comes out of this place is atrocious. The crispy pork balls were dry, tough and inedible. The chicken and cashew nut was basically some warm stock with poor quality chicken and frozen vegetable mix. This place is the very far away from offering authentic and tasty food. It’s bad. All the food went in the bin. I called for a refund and was offered money off my next order - I opted out thank you. You would have to pay me to eat from here again. Hugely disappointing, especially when this was ordered as a treat.

I’ve been eating from Wongs for the last 20 years, always good food and the service has always been great, highly recommended.

Poor service and they close 20mins early I find that very scum of them and they charge 50p extra for a mouthful of curry sauce

As a local been using wongs for many years but as others have said since new owners food is of the lowest quality. Have just wasted £28 by giving them one last go all food now in bin and we are having to cook.

Wow! Food getting better and better every time I go there. Succulent fleshy meat in their dishes. Our 2 favourites are the Wongs Special Noodles and Singapore Rice Vermicelli. Deliciously cooked with quality fresh ingredients.

Been going to Wong's for 22 years and love their food. They've had a change of management in the last couple of years but the quality remains the same. The staff are still very friendly and when I order to pick the food up it's always either ready or ready within a few minutes. Even if I just turn up and read the paper for a bit while they're preparing it, it's still very quick.

Good take away food, ample portions, good value. Cooked fresh and piping hot. Recommended.

Good quality chinese at reasonable prices. Especially the lunchtime specials £5 for a main and a large serving of egg fries rice. Highly reccomend the smoked chicken and the sweet and sour chicken.

Really sad that the new owners have lowered the quality of food and raised the price! We’ve been using Wongs for years but are now looking for a new takeaway. Gone from breast of chicken to what tastes like processed chicken. Chewy and left with a dodgy tummy afterwards

Have been buying from Wongs for many years as a resident of Brentwood. Since the recent change in ownership, the quality has declined. And so has the attitude. Once friendly staff have been replaced by unhelpful people. We normally collect, but recently service was refused on a delivery meal because it wasn't expensive enough. We were happy to pay a charge - but were not even given the option.

It is a fair food for a good value. Do not expect exceptional quality for that price.

Been eating here for 15yrs, food is always excellent and ready quickly. Have placed hundreds of orders and not had any wrong items. Highly recommend the smoked chicken, hoisin duck and Singapore noodles. The chips are also excellent and better than most local chip shops. Thank you and continue the excellent work

In my opinion the best Chinese take away in the Brentwood area, we have a local chinese also called Wongs in Doddinghurst but always travel to pick up our take away from Wongs Ongar Road, great food and excellent value for money with a friendly service to boot.......

Staff are very friendly, taking time to chat to customers. Food has always been cooked perfectly and hot by the time I get home. Not aware of a delivery service

The best Chinese takeaway I've come across in the Brentwood area and has been for a long time. If they delivered I would never use anyone else. The food is always fresh, beautifully cooked and very tasty.

Always fast service. Good selection of food that is cooked to perfection, good portions and pleasant staff.

Visited this takeaway whilst visiting family near by. Such lovely people food very hot, lovely quality good price. Can't wait to go back.

I am a regular customer of Wongs in Doddinghurst, and I can honestly say I have never been disappointed with any meal (and I have tried a few). Very polite staff and excellent food - what more can you ask for.
