Wonderful Chinese Takeaway in Calderdale

One meal was missing from the order. On trying to call the restaurant to report this I found the number was out of service. Not happy at all. I will be requesting a refund through just eat.

Tasted of malt vinegar. Shredded beef in ok sauce. And trying to get back my money. I was seething. They do not speak English. How can you run a business if you can't attend to your customers needs?

went for a takeway from here Friday night the man who served was very rude when we were ordering. As for the food the worst chinese i have ever tasted !!! we ordered sweet and sour chicken and shredded beef both awful could no eat either !!! both tasted like they had been cooked in a burnt pan !! very bland and tasteless avoid

We have never had a bad takeaway from the Wonderful Chinese. King Prawns in tomato sauce and Chicken with cashew nuts thoroughly recommended

Delivery 20 mins late, half our order missing, half someone else's order delivered, taxi returned asking for food back. Totally trashed my night!!!!!

Beautiful tasting takeaway. Love this chinese. IT was a spicy beef and my son had chicken. We didn't have to wait long. Staff were nice. When. we got home, food was hit, tasty and had great flavours. Great service. Will be back.

Haven’t been to Wonderful for years because it wasn’t very good so decided to give try 4/1/2020 and ordered banquet for 2.£26.It was very nice indeed would definitely recommend.😋😋

Since I left a bad review before, i went back in a few times and have not had the same poor experience. It has been consistantly good , Ive been in 4/5 times since my last review in 2016. Just as well, maybe I caught them on a bad day-it happens. The meals have ranged from special rice- much better and fresher than last time, thank you, also duck and pancakes and a few mains. I really think it has improved a lot and I intend to get a takeaway from there again when we choose Chinese Takeaway. I would now recommend it. Good job guys, thanks

Not eaten from here in a very long time! Was a little nervous about ordering, however arrived in time specified and huge portions! The food was lovely but my only critasism is it could have done with being hotter! Advertised free chicken wings when ordering over &30 which did nor arrive but to be fair were not needed’

Just off the phone a minute ago. We waited 1,5hrs on Our food delivery & when I Phoned them again They said They don’t have the flat number.Even I explained clearly there is no number,& how’s the flat named.Never had this experience before with any other deliveries.Why She didn’t ask Me for a phone number like everyone else if their computer doesn’t show it. Never order anything again from here and won’t recommend it to anyone. Proper unorganized.& We are starving by the way. That one Star feels over rated too

I called in to order my meal. 4 people waiting for their food but they seemed to get served quickly. The food was ready after 15 minutes. It was ok but nothing special. It tasted ok.

Came to my friend’s who swears by this takeaway normally, it was my first time trying it, food was absolutely amazing, but we had to get my friend to drive and pick up our food order after trying to ring for an hour and a half to try and get a phone order because the phone was always engaged. Apart from that lovely food and very cheaply priced for the quality of food, would definitely order again from here! Lost a point for the phone service, which could do with being sorted

The food is good, I always enjoy it but sometimes the service is poor, like no one answering the phone, sometimes they are on just eat sometimes not, but I do like the food, so will keep on eating here.

The wonderful chinese is our local takeaway and its a bit hit and miss. Sometimes the meal is lovely and other times it is not so good and I will give it a miss for a month or two then try it again and have lovely meals for a couple of visits then have a bad meal again. On the plus side if we have a delivery is always arrives before my allocated time slot and is always pipping hot.

Despite living here for 28 years, I've never tried this takeaway. What a shame, as the food I ordered was seriously good. I had the House Special Chow Mein and Crispy Spring Rolls. The chow mein contained loads of good quality tender chicken slices (a definite step up from chicken I've had at other local Chinese shops), some sliced beef, (only) 2 prawns but they were enormous, fresh veggies, noodles, and the most unusual smokey sauce. I have no idea what was used but it was glorious and unlike any sauce I've had before. The spring rolls, which I had thought would be the miniature ones, turned out to be the HUGE ones! I ate one, as well as the chow mein, because I hadn't eaten all day, but to get three in one portion was incredible. I had the other two the following day for dinner and after 5 minutes in the oven, they were still nice and crisp, fresh tasting, and full of flavour. The lot came to under £9 so I was pleased and will definitely be returning now I've 'discovered' this great Chinese. Opposite Morrisons supermarket, too, so good for parking. The only reason I didn't give a 5 rating is I've only been the once. Further visits will, no doubt, send that rating up.

We had a takeaway recently and it was horrible - in fact we hardly ate any and threw the rest away. The seasoning was nil - so it was tasteless. Our previous order a few weeks earlier was cancelled by text message, without explanation, after we had already waited an hour and a half for it to be delivered! We will be giving this place a miss in future!

Always a very fast delivery but the food isn't great. The special fried rice is probably the best thing to go for! Sweetcorn soup like wall paper paste.

Been a patron of this place for a number of years and had some fine takeaways in that time. For that reason I am loathe to drop a bad review on these guys, needs must though!

Creature of habit... ...I always order Chicken in OK sauce. Never had a bad one! Parking is a bit of a challenge but Morrisons opposite is fairly accommodating. Service is always fast and the place looks clean.

La comida siempre es de muy buena calidad y mucha variedad, pero el problema puede estar en espera de envío puede tardar años, mejor recoger si puedes.

Para llevar ordenados, lo cual llevó a un paso de 2 horas para llegar a mí. Esto es totalmente aceptable cuando la ONU actualmente estoy cobrando la entrega y me dijeron que la orden de presentarse dentro de los 45 minutos. Para colmo de males, la comida era sub estándar. Sólo utilizamos particular para llevar mi local" porque "en skipton kings cantonesa estaba cerrado. Nunca más.

Very tasty everytime. Food is delivered hot and the salt and pepper chips and salt and pepper mushrooms are always on our order ,by far the best

Lovely food can't be beaten just opposite morrisons, great value and free delivery in tod. Try the salt and pepper beef fillet fantastic.Ohh and the dishy delivery guy!! ;)

I dont like leaving bad reviews however... I was disappointed after spending 5.60 on a rice dish to get a small tub of 'refreshed' rice, meat poor. Sorry guys, first and last time I will venture in, it did not come close to my expectations. On the positive side the prawn crackers were fine.

Prices go up and quality goes down! Will not be going again! Oh and no apologies either!! 🙁🙁🙁🙁

Sauce for the duck wasn't even warm, it was stone cold. The rice wasn't freshly cooked it was microwaved and gluey. The chips were barely warm. The spring rolls were burnt, And the beef curry had about 5 bits of beef in was mostly sauce so hardly worth the 22 quid I paid. Sorry I just didn't enjoy it.

The food was below standard and the delivery!!! What delivery. I had to pick it up from the shop almost 1 hour after it should have been delivered. And I only did that as it had been paid for online. Poor service all round and no service what so ever when it came to the delivery.

Really lovely tasty food and when i asked for a dish to be less spicy on the notes this was done. Prawn crackers and fortune cookies added to order as well as us having the free item for spending over £20. Came within the time frame given and was hot and tasty. Really recommend!! Will use again

I'm so disappointed at the service tonight. I made my order in good faith and the taxi driver refused to deliver my order to the door claiming the road was too bumpy. He told me not to order again ever and said we had to come down to get the food. Eventually he said he would walk up with it but said he would account for his time and complain to the takeaway. We told him to take the food away as he was so rude we just didn't want to deal with him. This is bad for us and the takeaway...we were quite wiling to spend £54 - but not be shouted at..it was appalling.

Ordered on-line at 6:20, order was taken and said to be delivered at about 7:00, but had to phone them after the order hadn't been delivered at 7:45. The food was very good, but they need to sort the delivery service out.

We thought we'd give these guys another chance tonight after a pretty poor experience last time round (waited two hours back in Sep and didn't turn up). It was a mistake, we've just cancelled our order after 45 mins overdue. When we called they were very off hand and unhelpful. We won't bother again.

stopped off on the way home after being out of town all day, called in here , waited ages for the food anyway. Arrived home, looking forward to the food, spare ribs ok,passable in taste but aired on the bigger bits!!! the rest we threw away after tasting it, looking at it and smelling it, what a sheer waste of money, food and time. Seeing these reviews we are not on our own, somethings wrong its still open! bland tasteless food the rice tasted of bleach!!!that was crap too . We had some food from here ages ago and was very poor in quality and appearance, well actually several years ago avoided it for years since., we thought that after someone gave it a great call, recently we would try again.and give it the benefit of the doubt.. really? wish we hadn't and never again..that gut feeling in not using it was instinctive, and later the same gut feeling was obvious! poor food alround.AVOID. Sorry for delay just got around to looking at where to eat in Tod and saw the reviews and thought best to add our experience on the 24th oct. £21+ i recall wasted ...
