Food arrived red hot and cooked lovely

The fish was tastless and not fried as expected. The only thing they got right was the chips.

Waited 30 minutes to collect, app showed ready for collection but got there and wasn’t even started. Took another 10 minutes before leaving. Food wasn’t great after the wait

the food came not warm and late it a shame we like food but we need to start using elsewhere as we not get the services we had at start

can I say thank you to your driver , for ringing me to let me know he was outside , and also what very delicious Fish , chips and peas I had received....they were hot ...very tasty ...so First Class to everyone at the at the Wonderful, Wolstanton Fish Bar , highly recommended with a brilliant menu of food thank you

The food was very soggy, was average, probably won’t be ordering again

I love the food but when I order burger with salad I never get the salad. there is a box to tick for no salad and I don't tick it but still don't get it. still I really enjoy meals and always comes hot!

The food tasted great as usual, would have given 5 stars if some items hadn't been crushed in the bag. Overall, excellent food.

This is the first time we ordered from yourselves,the food quality wasn't brilliant rather greasy,we had to wait almost an hour for delivery I know it stated the eastamated time but I did nearly cancel it as we have never waited that long to have food delivered and for it not be that nice

Ordered tonight and halfway through eating discovered a critter (think big woodlouse!) in the chips. Will never order from here again and I suggest everyone check your food if you do!

The fish was soggy in all the oil it was cooked in,the doner meat was hard and not very nice,chips and sauces were the only good thing which is a shame

Suprised at the poor quality, always been my go to chippy, chips can only be described as a soggy mess of odd bits all clumped together on a tray..fritter did not seem fresh , gravy lumpy and fish was not haddock..My dog dident mind though....looking for another chippy...very disappointing

Oh dear what can I say. Firstly the oil used was old which tasted the food. The chips were brown and seemed old and rewarmed The fritter was very thin and batter swimming in oil. The fish I'm afraid was also swimming in the old oil. All in all a very disappointing midweek treat which landed promptly in the bin. Guess I'll be making a round of toast later. Such a shame when you can't support local business

Normally this is the only fish and chip restaurant I would order from because it’s always been the best until recently and this is the second order in a row for quality of the food hasn’t been great. The saveloy was really nice and the gravy is really good as well. However the chips were hot but the quality was quite poor. They didn’t put the salt and vinegar I had asked for on and I ended up giving some of them to the dog. 🫤 The fish was dry and overcooked, I again asked for salt & vinegar but there wasn’t any there at all and I was very grateful that I had the gravy there, which I never normally you’d use with fish. I have to say the delivery was absolutely outstanding as it was with me 15 minutes early which I really appreciated. 😀 I don’t know if they’re under new management but I’m going to think about finding a different fish and chip restaurant next time because I’m just not happy.

Paid £26.65 for two large fish, one large chips, small peas, small curry sauce and 2 small sausages. The fish was grey, ridiculous firm and I'm surprised there was any fat left in their fryers as it was all over the fish and the chips. Rang to complain and just got a 'look mate, I use vegetable oil', the guy that answered couldn't care less. Told him that we could not eat the fish as it clearly wasn't fresh and because of the amount of grease and the batter all peeled off with the paper. The chips were dripping in grease and were overcooked and again, didn't taste fresh. The peas had the consistency of water and the curry sauce was gloomy and lumpy as well as lacking taste. Like I said, owner didn't care, was shouting down the phone and he wouldn't believe a word of what I was saying - even offered for him to come and collect the vile food and he continued saying I was lying. Case opened with Just eat.

Chips were like cardboard, clearly left over from lunchtime. Chicken had an odd, almost minty taste, not nice at all.

Food had no test and fish was just too oily. Very disappointing food

Lovely! Missing the jalapeños from one pizza but everything was good enough to not be an issue.

Chips were brown they had been fried to many times.. got a battered sausage which wasn't good at all.. even the dog turned it down..

Food was poor, the buttered bap was better of as a dish sponge and it was not edible,, the fish was bland and had no taste, the chips were pretty much all crispy pieces. 1⭐️ We will not be ordering again especially when we spent £26

Brilliant food, delivered hot and on time

After waiting for food for too long. When it finally arrived. It was the most shocking thing I've ever seen. The donna meat and chips look like they've both been re-heated in the fryer. All of my food was dripping wet with oil. I also had chicken, because all of my food looking like it had been re heated I didn't dare eat the chicken. I'm pregnant and absolutely can't take that risk. The chips weren't fresh, they looked days old and had no potato inside. If I could upload a picture I would. Wouldn't recommend and I most certainly won't be trying it again.

the steak and kidney pudding was poorly wrapped and not cooked, the fish soggy but the chips and peas were great.

Waited 45 mins for delivery to find No chips !!! caught delivery driver to be told it would be sorted gave up after half an hour could just have been honest

Ive been ordering from here for many years and never had a problem till today. Ordered early at 16.35 due to having not break at work so coming home hungry. Estimated delivery was 17.10-17.20. Food was delivered after 6pm. When it came items were missing and I instantly called them as my son needed his meal. I was then blatantly lied to that the driver had called them as their car had broken down so they couldnt deliver his food. This was physically impossible as i called as soon as it was handed over and the driver would have been outside my house!! Its one thing missing an item. Innocent mistake. Blatantly lying to regular customers however is bang out of order!

I ordered at 5:20pm at 6:30pm my food had not arrived so I rang the restaurant and was told the driver was on their way (we live 5 minutes drive away). They turned up at 7pm with cold soggy food. I rang the shop to be told they were too busy to discuss and was hung up on…..

This has been my go to chippy but unfortunately tonights meal was very disappointing...Arrived cold ..Fish greasy and batter completely stuck to paper...worst was the southern fried fritters..A slither of potato ..just tasted like a mouthful of greasy coating..Was looking forward to it but hardly ate any , very disappointing

Great food but it was extremely late but when it did arrive it was very hot. Will order again as it was very nice but next time I will order a lot earlier.

The pizza was wrong. The pizza that was delivered was pepperoni but we ordered pepperoni, ham, mushroom and pineapple.

Good was ok (although not many peas in the mushy peas) but after ordering the time moved an hour later than the estimate meaning 1hr 40 min wait for food, why say 20-30 min wait if that’s not accurate. Kids were starving, on that basis will not be returning

It was delivered about 40 minutes after the estimated delivery time...it came in a ripped plastic bag...it looked like the wrappers the food came in had been opened after it left the shop..it wasn't very warm considering the shop is less than 2miles away...and they didn't apologise for it being late

Dreadful. Delivery driver was useless. Food is soaked for some reason. Absolutely vile and freezing cold. Don’t waste your time, go somewhere nice. I don’t understand how a company could actually deliver food like this. Inedible.

Driver couldn't understand very simple instructions, both he and the shop became abusive. No refund, no food. Never again.
