Wokee Carry Out in Angus

Fed up ordering from this establishment and getting previous days food reheated, it always happens when we place an order early tea time just after they open. I have complained several times regarding this but they just deny it but they are never going to admit to this. Do they honestly think we cannot tell the difference between freshly made food and reheated food, the worst is they reheat the chips as well, so so bad. This use to be a brilliant Chinese when David and his dad had it, food was always freshly made but these greedy people don’t seem to give a toss care about their reputation just how much money they can save serving second days food. As for trying to add taste to their food they add about a ton of salt to all there food which is just inedible. Come on Wokee give yourself a shake and serve fresh edible food and give people what they pay for.

Ordered from here again as my partner asked to try it, I did say we had bad experience with them last time with portion sizes being far to small for what your charged for them. We ordered via the online system at 5.15pm and it finaaly arrived at 7.10pm I called to ask if on way alsoWhen food arrived it was stone cold. I phoned again to pin point the problem to be passed onto what sounded like a young girl and I was to there was nothing they could do for me. You should not have to pay for cold food nor have to reheat in microwave this is way we order takeaway food, to expect to get food at your door you can just eat. I didn't reheat, it went in binMoney wasted and we will not be back at all. Poor portion sizes, cold food, delivery service a joke(you wait hours) then you call and customer service is so unhelpful... Avoid... Go else where save your cash.

Ordered food at 546. Pm and still waiting for it at 7 pm got told it will be another 45 minute before I get it

Ordered from here online, order was usal time, food was warm but could have been doing with a ping in our microwave and the portion sizes seem to have shrunk.The plastic tubs were nit even half full... Having paid for a full portion you don't expect less than a child's to arrive! Dissapointed with my order and portion size for price paid.

Used their Online System to order for collection at the next time slot. Food was waiting at the counter when I arrived and girl was very friendly . Soup was lovely, ribs, I’m told, were good, spring rolls were small and flavourless. Both meat dishes were made with cheap cuts and the prawns were covered in so much batter you could barely find them. I had gone here after a colleague recommended it but sorry, I wouldn’t hurry back.

Last time the food was very salty, but this time it was delicious. Very, very busy so it pays to go in and order then wait. Will go back again.

Take out ordered online and collected. The online order worked well, and the ordering system is clear and easy to use. Meal ready when requested and piping hot as well.The spring roll to start was huge. It was stuffed full of beansprouts, which is the way I like it. The portion sizes were generous, and the curry was one of the tastiest from a Chinese I have had.No issues with service either. From my experience, they deserve a 5 star review. No complaints and more than satisfied.

3 times now I have had a delivery and it was terrible. If its not a 2 hour wait, its a wrong order or very greesy. Used to be the best chinese in Forfar but standards are definitely slipping. Will not be ording again!!

Delivery was very late with one item missing. To be fair they did return with the missing item after a phone call was made but no apology given over the inconvenience caused. A lot of salt in the dishes and very 'gluggy' but quite normal for local Chinese food. A lot of choice on the menu but I wouldn't rush back as probably cook better myself.

Tried for a change. Clumpy boiled rice eith two orders.Not very hot temperature wise overall. Best bit was the prawn crackers.

I used to really enjoy the Wo Kee and really enjoyed the Chicken Chow Mein, but it has become far to salty for me, which is a shame. Will maybe try it again in the future and see if it has improved.

Been going to wokee for years not been for a while so decided to have a treat, had sweet and sour chicken batter was not cooked fried rice with all meals was cold and for convenience I supposes they have replaced the lovely homemade onion rings with cheap frozen ones. Worst of all the price is the same £2.80 for 10 tiny soggy tasteless things no way! Son went in for chips during the week said chip portion sizes have shrunk too. i really hope they can get back to their high standards again soon I for one will be trying somewhere else.

Shocking service - asked for something a little different which is not on most menus Chips curry sauce and fried rice - with some cheese on it The mans attitude was appalling, I understand that it was not on their menu but he refused to make it because it was not a function on his computer. I offered to pay extra, still a no. It was the attitude and tone of the man that was most shocking. I often have this meal in Chinese’s across Dundee and I have never had a problem before, but this man just would not budge, “customer is always right” “good customer service” far from it here - definitely won’t be returning.

Fancied a takeaway after a few beers so called in here, I was the only customer at the time of my visit.Ordered & got my meal reasonably quickly then headed home.The beansprouts were overcooked but my major gripe was that all of my order was seriously over salted. The meal was inedible & ended in the bin.Back to the Golden Dragon next time.

This is without doubt the best chinese in Forfar and possibly Angus.

Order 2 meals for home delivery, told 40 mins, waited 1hr 15 mins before phoning back to be told by the manager it would be another hour. My husband told him to just cancel it and went to say we won't be back but the manager had already hung up on him, no apology, nothing! We are talking at least 2 hrs and 15 mins for 2 very simple meals, shocking service and so rude.

garlic ribs to die for would highly recommend these they are the best alway order 2 portions as so good.

The special fried rice is delicious with slices of chicken on the top and lots of prawns,ham,pork and chicken mixed through and topped with Chinese bbq sauce

The wokee is great the food always arrives hot. Price is reasonable. Food tastes great!! All staff are friendly!!

Sunday night takeaway, I had the Singapore vegetable curry and fried rice, hubby had a mixed Singapore style curry. His included prawns, chicken etc whereas mine seemed somewhat lacking in imagination with little variation in the vegetables. Mini corn, onions,noodles and some pineapple chunks throughout. Although the sauce was as tasty as ever, the dish could have been improved by the addition of carrots, cauliflower and peas for instance.Will consider giving them them another shout later in the year.

Teníamos un cabo para nosotros 6 entregado al sitio caravana" del asiento. Toda la comida que traían era caliente y sabroso en la medida en que había muy poco si cualquier sobras. Nos avisaron por un amigo que vive en Forfar que este era el mejor restaurante chino para llevar.

La mejor comida china para llevar y servicio de siempre lugar de forfar. Sin duda ir allí para una gran porciones de alimentación están muy buena

Chicken noodle soup( yuk) dish of horrible dark brown stock, spaghetti, not noodles, and no sign of any chicken, Special chop Suey, worst i have ever seen and tasted, never had it with clumps of mince, two king prawns, chicken with a thick red sauce, and beef,. rest was veg, waste of money . Sad that a chinese take-away can't prepare an authentic meal the way it should be made.

We have enjoyed take-aways from the Wokee for years but recently the service and food has gone downhill although the prices have gone up. They used to serve the best spring rolls in Forfar - huge and stuffed full of filling. Always described laughably on the menu as 'mini'.Last weekend we ordered a meal deal for 2 with changes. What a disappointment - no free prawn crackers (previously always included), 6 tiny spring rolls with no filling, no taste and all pastry and small portions of meat/chicken in the mains. The price hike for requesting changes was substantial and far more than in previous orders. When I phoned to ask about the spring rolls, I was initially told they had always served mini rolls (??) but was then informed it was too much effort to make them for the meal deals. Very poor customer service and it will now be 'too much effort' for me to phone the Wokee for a take-away as we won't be back.

Go here every couple of weeks. Good food mainly, good service, very popular. Shop is very clean as is the kitchen which can be seen through the back.

The worse place ever to place an order over the phone! If the place is that busy then they should think about installing more phone lines.

This is a Chinese takeaway and it does always seem busy but I'm not a fan. Saying that my husband is a long time customer for his beef curry fried rice and they always have a smile for him.

can't really work out if this place is really good or just another chinese take away. First few times the food was really good but then it was not good at all, but then the last time we tried it again it was good. Might give it another go.

We used to order from here frequently, on one occasion we were given the wrong order and when we phones to tell them we were accused of being at fault! The size of their portions have gotten smaller and the chicken is like rubber! It has now become very disappointing for the amount they are charging unfortunately we will not be using them again

Not for me to greasy but my husband loves this Chinese food take away. Always seems to be busy when we pass. Cash only sadly.

Excellent chinese.Food is always well cooked , seasoned and fresh.Their chicken curry is to die for and tastes great.Chips are superb.You never have to wait long and they deliver which is a plus.Very clean cut staff and premises.

We use this takeaway any time we have a Chinese. It used to be by far the best in Forfar however it is definitely going downhill. The price was shocking 3 meals costing us 27 quid followed by my fiancées chicken tasting like it had been cooked 3 times. Yes the service is quick but I highly doubt it's fresh food considering the taste. I think we will use a different takeaway from now on just really not worth the money. They are forgetting about customer service but still taking very substantial a amount of money for some very average food.

We live 5 miles away and it's a nominal fee to have food delivered, £3.75. Even coming from Forfar it was still piping hot and we've used other establishments where it arrived tepid. Hats off to the Wokee, no need to re-heat in the microwave. Well done to you, we will happily order from here again as the food was delicious. Thank you

This is definitely a great take away serving authentic Chinese and Asian food as well as a selection of European food for the non-adventurous.Staff are always friendly and helpful and the place is always clean and tidy.They do home delivery as well which is handy sometimes.

Staying at the Lochside Caravan Club Site, recommended in the sites visitors book and was highly recommended, was not disappointed, friendly service, great food, reasonably priced, what more could you ask for? Told other caravanning friends who are now on there way to sample the WoKee's good food.

The Woo Ke is a brilliant place for Chinese carry out, with excellent range of food, quick and reliable service and reasonable prices this little gem should be enjoyed by everyone. It has never disappointed and will never loss their excellent reputation.

I have used this Take Away several times and generally it is popular and always busy. You don't have to wait too long even when it is busy.

Quick service, even though folk were queued out the door. Always a smile on the desk staff, even got free prawn crackers! Food is still hot when I get home (11 miles away from here) its just so good to eat here!

This is, in my opinion, the best take away in Forfar and the only place i order take away from. The staff are helpful and polite and the food delivery time is generally very good. Those with very specific requests are generally catered for without a fuss

The BBQ ribs had little or no meat on them, my wife's special chow mein was more concerning as there was a strange smell from the pork and when tasted it seemed to be 'off'Very disappointing as every meal we have had from here in the past has been excellent

Being a big fan of all Asian foods I'm no stranger to a Chinese take away. The Wokee is our Chinese of choice, the menu is big and even though I try to order a different thing every time I've never had anything that I didn't enjoy!

Not visited here since 2011 but can only say, have to give it 5 out of 5. Quick, efficient staff, not to mention how quick the kitchen staff work. Ordered our meal in house and although it was busy, the waiting time was minimal. Really tasty food and friendly staff. A definite winner, keep up the good work

Great selection of meals prepared freshly by the more than accommodating chefs. "fussy eaters " catered for. always a queue which shows the popularity of it.

Honestly the best Chinese in Forfar. I wouldn't order from anywhere else. There food is always made to the best of standards and I've never had to complain. Fabulous and speedy service, they also deliver!

Always very busy.yes the phone rings constantly .....but it's a carry out restaurant so it's gonna. The staff are polite and cheery and the food is always fresh and hot. We eat out a lot and never have any issues with missed orders like we have had with other carry out restaurant in forfar.

By far the best Chinese takeaway in Forfar. Even better since they renovated and made it much bigger and feel a lot more modern!

The food is absolutely Lush! One of the best Chinese's me and my husband have ever had and he's from Essex and I'm from Newcastle, good on you guys!! I will recommend highly to everyone.

My mouths watering just typing this. I love this take away. You can order over the phone and have it delivered to your door or walk in and order and wait. There is a massive menu to choose from and the prices are good. The food is superb, second to none in my opinion. The staff are efficient and friendly too. If you're in the area, I really reccomend this take away.

Food from here is excellent very tasty and great value for money. Service is spot on can't fault it at all. Portion size is great, it's good to have left overs for the next day. Well so of us will and plenty to share with others.

We live just outside forfar and use the Wokee carry out every second friday for a takeaway meal. The food is excellent, with an extensive choice of meals on the menus. The service is also excellent with very friendly an efficient staff who are very willing to help you with you choice of food. We have also used the delivery service on occassions as well. We have been using this restaurant for many years now. originally it was just a small shop, but laterly a lot of money and time was spent upgrading the restaurant. Whilst you are waiting to be served you can see into the kitchen area where the food is being prepaared. The kitchen area always looks spotless.

We' were recommended this place by the wardens on caravan site. Initially we couldn't even get in the door due to the q of people ordering, waiting and collecting food - always a good sign!! Our order was taken and then a numbered ticket system was used for waiting. Despite the q we didn't have to wait long and our party of 4 including 2 fussy teens was very pleased with their meals. Good portions, tasty and all piping hot. Extremely friendly staff even apologising for the short wait. We will definitely use again if visiting.

Without a shadow of a doubt this is the best Chinese takeaway I've ever had. Living in Forfar I can say its the best takeaway in general as well. Friendly and quick service, reasonable value for money and above all - the food is absolutely fantastic! Massive portions too which are great at the time but perhaps not so good for my lass' opinion of my waistline. Thoroughly recommend a visit!

Love the wokee been getting takeaways from here for years . Love the Peking chicken , sometimes it's a bit busy to get parked but its worth a spin round the block

Since moving from Forfar two years ago, the one thing I miss the most is the wokee. I was a regular customer!! Food is outstanding. Service spot on.

I have eaten carry out meals from Montrose, Inverbervie, and Forfar and the Wokee is by FAR the very best for Chinese food. I appreciate the swiftness in preparation and the fact that if I want to visit a friend in the local area the food will be delivered fairly quickly and always hot. I know if I go into the Wokee I can watch my food being prepared. The staff work quickly and efficiently and are always pleasant. I have been known to travel from my home near Inverbervie to Forfar for a meal - FACT!!

Whilst staying in forfar for a few days decided to try out the local chinese takeaway and have to say considering the reviews was disappointed as although the service was quick and efficient my food was overseasoned and not very authentic.
