WOK INN in Liverpool

We haven't used Wok In for a long time due to quality issues, gloopy curry, re-fried chips, cold meals etc, but decided to give them another chance. don't know if they've changed ownership since we last tried them but it was a total contrast. v good

On time but it took a while - they must have been busy

Ordered from here before in the past and never left a review until today's order! Food wasn't the best today. rice was clumped together in places and burnt. Curry sauce was very watery. Food wasn't very hot. Probably won't order from here for a while now. Wok in have never been this bad.

Great as always, best Chinese takeaway around.

Food is always nice but a 100 minute wait for delivery, it’s just too long.

Hot and tasty exactly what I wanted

The food was piping hot and so fresh we really enjoyed it. Always my first choice for a Chinese meal in south Liverpool. Everything is cooked in plain sight and the staff are always polite and professional.

A little later than told on delivery but food was still lovely and hot and it was easily the best S&P chips Ive ever had. Quality.

what can I say!!! second order from here and cannot fault it. Beef mushroom with rice for a change as my favourite is Beef and green pepper. The Beef mushroom was so delicious and the soup (again! ) Everything arrived hot and delivery guy was very polite and friendly. Ten out of Ten

The nicest Beef and green pepper I have ever had and the soup was lovely. Really impressed with the size of peppers cut etc, it was really hot still on delivery. Will definitely use you again, ten out of ten 😊

meals were very poor tonight only 2 cashews on the 3 meat dish and not much sauce very dry, and the sweet and sour was very bitter tasting and also very dry no sauce at all

Cold tasteless food. Crispy beef was horrendous worst I have ever ever had. Chips was like cardboard I think the Chef needs to have some training.

ribs were dry as fk. rest of the meals looked and tasted like they were cooked hours ago. deleting just eat app. food is getting worse from more outlets.

I ordered spring rolls, salt and pepper chicken with fried rice. The spring rolls I think had Chinese BBQ sauce in and they were ok(6/10), but I wouldn't get them again. The salt and pepper chicken was nice and would get again (7.5/10) and the fried rice wasn't good and had no flavour. Considering it is sold with most of the menu, it needs improving (4/10).

Almost two hours from ordering to delivery

Food was dry, chips were horrible - chewy and dry. s&p chicken was the same. Very disappointed

I've literally just ordered a cone of chips and asked for them in a tray, went to get money especially as they said don't do card, it's cold and rainy wanted some nice chips, and they are not fresh, very dry taste reheated, so not happy, last time they were decent hence going back, now just waisted £1.80 if you see this and are prepared to make it right and offer me fresh chips please respond and I'll update the review to say you sorted it, If you don't see this or do but don't respond I will call in soon maybe tomorrow to show you this review and would either like a £1.80 refund or some fresh chips, I don't have much money so if I pay for something it must be adequate. Thanks. I'm very pleased to say they sorted it and gave me fresh chips that were nice so I've updated review as i promised, they said they don't read reviews however.

There was a mixup with my order but that was cleared up nice and neatly. The chips were okay but the crispy chowmein tasted stale and the chop suey roll wasn’t completely cooked on the inside

Salt and pepper beancurd was overcooked with hardly any flavour, chips were hard, sweet and sour sauce was like water.

Food was cold. Chips were soggy awful food and arrived considerably late

There was no liquid in the won ton noodle soup as it had all split out an at the bottom of the bag. There was also no prawn crackers for the soup (even if it wasn’t needed).

Usually food from here is amazing! That we moved to this restaurant. But today… I’m not happy. Food was cold and over cooked. Had to call them to see where my order was since it was 1 hour since I ordered… very disappointed..

Ordered a soup that was pure oil, bbq sauce had no flavour, egg fried rice was whiter than a vampire chips were pure grease will not be ordering again

My favourite chippy will never go anywhere else! They do, hands down the best Thai green curry you will ever taste! Delicious

Usually good food and I order from this restaurant often but disappointed as this time they sent me the wrong order and staff wouldn't help when I called them.

Food was lovely as always but it was delivery 1.55hrs after ordering despite it only saying the waiting time was 50-65 mins! It’s not the first time we have been waiting for ages.

If I could give this 0 stars I would. The most disgusting Chinese Iv ever tasted and freezing cold. Stay clear!

food was late and so not very hot once it had arrived. the sausage dinner looker like it had been shaken. other than that the food was alright. not the nicest I've ever had but not the worst. probably would have been better hot.

One hour and a half for delivery

Order took 2 hours, when I called after the first estimated delivery time slot had ended was advised it had left the restaurant and it still took 40 mins to arrive. When it did arrive food was not great quality, the curry was split and the chips were soggy and unseasoned.

Food is amazing , been going here for a very long time but last couple of months the delivery has been 2 hours and it was never like this , don’t under what has happened . This is the only problem we have ever had .

Order was just over an hour late from the earliest it would be 8:25-8:45 then 9:20 and turned up cold 9:25 food was ordered at 7:21

They placed a tub of sauce in sideways, resulting in the sauce leaking entirely over the bottom of the bag and every item consequently. If this happens again I will not be ordering here again. Has not happened before, but still very dissapointing.

The food is really lovely and always delivered on time.

Ordered a cheese burger and it was terrible! Cold with a tiny slice of cheese no salad no sauce nothing! The bun was hard as well. I always order from here so I’m shocked at the quality.

Chips seemed to have been reheated and poor quality. Shredded chicken far too spicy. Cost of £50 We was disappointed in quality sadly.

Over 2 hours late won’t be using you again
