Lisa and Kathleen were very polite and helpful, totally made our day. Would highly recommend.

Absolutely cracking ambiance, started off with a warm welcome of free pizza from a pretty weird but suave guy, and ended with being sang out the door by the workers and locals. Absolutely angelic night 👼

The last time we were in Glasgow this was a great pub on a Saturday night - so we made a beeline for there at the weekend before for going for a meal. Sadly there seem to have been big changes ..and wall-to-wall screens playing an afternoon’s match at 7:30 pm on a Saturday night was not our idea of fun.. it was even too loud to have a conversation. Only men staring at screens… very disappointing. We drank up and left.

A popular pub with my friends in Europe and the UK, it was near my AirBnB residence while vacationing in Glasgow recently. I tried their macaroni and cheese with a side salad. Like most mac and cheese in the UK, it has no cheddar, just mozzarella, ricotta and parmesan. Still very good, and balanced with a green side salad. Service was great. I was welcomed and served promptly. Highly recommended for lunch or dinner. Parking is available as Great Western Road is a wide street, but I took transit and then walked there.

Great experience friendly welcome from knowledgeable staff. On this occasion Beckie was behind the bar and the service was exceptional Michael the chef is excellent and his knowledge of food is the amongst the best I have ever experienced I must also mention the manager Ann who gives all to the job on a daily basis

Great pub, normal people, with well-priced drinks. The bar food we ordered was excellent and the pub was only a ten minute walk from Firhill. 👍

Had a few beers and sat down during a tour of area. Staff were welcoming, busy but seats in longe and out front available. Good pub with food available,but didn't try this visit.

Nice pub but got barred for allegedly smoking in the toilet when there was no evidence to say it was me considering there was over 100 males in the place who share ONE cubicle. Very frustrated as this was my local

Yet another good glasgow pub bought by a big english brewery. Scottish beer (except the humble Belhaven Best) unavailable. I won’t be back.

As with any pub now owned by "Belhaven" (ie Greene King), the selection of beer is dreadful.

Was in for the football, great atmosphere for the games, big screens around the place don't miss anything, quick service and good selection of drinks, good jukebox aswell

This is an old traditional pub in the heart of Glasgow's West End on great western rd. It can be very noisy with its highly male clientele. The atmosphere is old school with a great ambiance and good old homely comfort Service was great, friendly staff and nearly all the food was excellent. The batter on the fish and halloumi was really crispy. Best dish was the sticky chicken fillets which had a lovely tangy taste. The only dish that let down an otherwise excellent feast was the Mac Cheese which was insipid and lacked correct texture and taste. All in all a good culinary experience.

Brilliant pub, with private lounge area that's beautifully styled, great big tele's for sports, cracking service ( even able to order from table on app ) and an emphasis on affordability throughout, whilst prices seem to be on the rise everywhere this place has kept it real. We visited here as part of a sub crawl, friendly and reasonably charged for our drinks.

I've been in this place before and I've wanted to make it a regular for a nice pint/dates. Only problem I've really had in the past is how crowded it felt and the noise from the football that always seemed to be on. This changed when I went I went in Thursday 24th. My main man behind the bar Frazer first hooked me and my date up with an offer on Madri which I had never had before and was really nice. Unfortunately they ran out after one pint so we switched to Tennants - these things happen. Frazer also lead us to the lounge area which was a much welcome quieter area for the two of us to have a casual drink and talk instead of battling with the football noise. He even did a check on us about the TV volume - a nice touch I didn't nessesarily need as the volume was off already but the consideration was appreciated. Although the lounge area did start to fill up with rowdier people it wasn't too bad but if I'm ever back myself I hope the lounge bar is open. If I had to critisise one thing it would be that it's unclear if that area was open as I had to ask Frazer if it was. It would be nice to rock up and know I can just go straight in for a nice solo pint in the future - would definetly be my new local if that was the case.

Had my usual family day at wintys. Drinks and food. Staff were very friendly and Ann was great for being quite far on in her pregnancy. Pub was busy and a lot of people were in for food. Would recommend lovely pub

Popped in for a pint. Reasonable prices, pleasant down to earth vibe, noticed there's a jukebox which is always good. Had to dash off but will definitely come back and stay longer next time.

Best green king I've ever been to. Steak pie is next level compared to any of the others.

Lovely bar seemed very friendly although I may have been a bit to drunk to notice much else. Go on a subway crawl and visit as I'm sure you won't be disappointed with the bar.

Lovely staff, everytime Ive popped in its to have used their bathroom but their always in deep discussion with their customers aswell as keeping a keen eye on everything. Very accommodating. Lovely & hygienic establishment. I recommend this place for a drink 👉🥂

Proper old Glasgow boozer on Great Western Road. Just taken over by Greene King, but it's still got all its character. All you'd expect, plus loads of different Gins and a great Whisky selection.

Went into the pub as part of a group and paid with card separately for our drinks… as one does. And the lady at the bar rolled her eyes at us when we asked to pay for our drinks.

First time I visited Wintersgills was 5 years ago, today I was there attending a wake for a a friend I met here 5 years ago. Lots of family and friends enjoying the life of a well loved lady. Wintersgills staff helped us in there usual efficient and friendly way. ***** stars every time, good food,beer friendship,who can ask for more.

Good freindly staff but put prices up again cheaper going into town put £2 on fish n chips n u get less than used to get must be a reccesion on frozen CHIPS U get about 12 Chips cheap frozen fish n horrible salad

Get rid of the annoying kiddie disco and this is pretty much the perfect pub. Varied patronage from beautiful student lasses to pensioners. Lovely staff. Very friendly place. Good screens for rugby and football. Only negative was the "live music" fiasco down the back

The staff were absolutely fantastic- nice, polite and friendly. Brough a bowl for my dog straight away and their service was to the point. I have received my food really quickly and it was delicious! Also it was very clean and tidy! Definitely a great place for a quick lunch!

Visited here on a cold wet, snowy Saturday afternoon. Decided to visit the lounge rather than the bar, great decision, prices were reasonable, service was second to none (perhaps at this time of day the lack of customers proved a plus). Would definitely return, we were made to feel at home, the waitress (didn't catch her name) American I think, was first class, friendly, courteous and not being condescending, funny. Thank you for a lovely afternoon. Back again, this time St Patrick's Day. Had a great afternoon, early evening. Jam session was on, and pleasantly surprised by a free dish of Irish Stew. Seems like all the locals came out in force. Would definitely recommend a visit. I live on the south side but would not hesitate visiting again and again. Thanks for a great day.

Wintersgills has been around for some time. It a great place to eat and socialise. Staff very helpfull. I must admit it surely is worth a visit. Customers and staff will make you very welcome. Spotless clean and fun to visit.

Been in it once after a funeral and will be the last time . I went up to get the first round of drinks for my family and got told "sorry, you've had enough" . I DON'T EVEN DRINK. Haven't been drunk since my teens twenty odd year ago. It was Humiliating. Never again. Wouldn't set foot in the dump if you paid me to.

This is one of these bars you need to try. Full of regulars and looks old but a great selection of drink, good sports, decent prices and always good chat. Been around for ever and not changed which is why I love it.

Nice enough pub. Possibly the only place in the world where you would get more than ten Partick Thistle fans in the same place at the same time outside the match. Non sectarian insofar as the West End understands it. Good job!

Plenty of character , friendly staff & a good array of beers , wines & spirits.

The locals are very friendly. Karaoke is fun. Drinks are reasonably priced. Can't recommend enough. Great place to spend any night of the week.
