Went to the winter garden restaurant here. It's is a beautiful place to have a very relaxing special meal. It's beautiful. The servers were so lovely and friendly, if anything, a little too attentive. Sometimes, it felt that they were hovering and watching, waiting to fill your glass or remove plates. The food was good. Great set menu. Sparkling water, though, was very overpriced considering its only san pelligrino Overall, though, I'm glad I visited

We were here for a dinner on a Saturday night. Amazing food with superb service in a place that is even more beautiful and impressive than what the pictures show. The Beef Wellington was absolute perfection. Live jazz band playing in the background was the cherry on the cake. 5/5 on all counts.

Went for my birthday lunch. Absolutely superb in every way. The man at the door not only made us feel welcome, but celebrated. The service was impeccable. The hotel itself is breathtaking. The music playing added to the relaxing atmosphere. And the food! Perfect portions. Stunning presentation. Delightful combination of tastes and textures. We had the seasonal set menu. Will go again very soon.

Look forward to waking up just so you can have breakfast, the egg royale is fantastic. The dinner I was a little disappointed, about the taste and presentation were good just needed something more to bring the Halibut and sea veg together.

A hotel that opened in 1899 and is over a century old👍 The lobby with a transparent glass dome and a few palm trees has a tropical feel. If the sun shines down from the top on a sunny day, it will be beautiful. Traditional British afternoon tea, the silver teapot, milk jug and cutlery are very high-quality, several desserts + freshly baked scones + sandwiches (can be unlimited).

Beautiful atmosphere, lovely afternoon tea in absolutely gorgeous surroundings and the service was polite and on point.

I am extremely angry and disappointed with my recent experience at Winter Garden Restaurant. My girlfriend’s 20th birthday, which should have been filled with joy and wonderful memories, was completely ruined at this establishment. That evening, we took a few commemorative photos in a non-dining area without using flash or capturing any other guests. However, we were met with extremely rude interference from a white male security guard. He initially warned us not to use our camera’s flash, but then outright forbade us from taking any photos at all. Even when we moved to a corner to avoid bothering anyone, he kept telling us to stop taking pictures and even threatened to watch us through CCTV at all times. This attitude—treating us like potential criminals—was profoundly humiliating. What is even more suspicious is that other guests were clearly taking photos but did not receive the same treatment. Is it simply because we are people of color that we were automatically placed under “special surveillance”? This is not only a violation of basic customer rights but also reeks of discrimination, making anyone feel unsafe and disrespected. Not only did we waste over three hundred pounds on this meal, but the entire experience completely destroyed the joy of a young woman’s 20th birthday. A 20th birthday cannot be repeated, yet we left Winter Garden Restaurant feeling humiliated and angry. The restaurant offered no explanation or apology; instead, they acted as though we had done something wrong by placing us under “special attention.” This is the worst and most shocking service I have ever encountered. I strongly urge the restaurant management to address this incident directly and take serious action against the staff involved for such misconduct. Furthermore, this establishment must significantly improve its fair treatment of customers from all ethnic backgrounds and properly train its security personnel so that no one else endures discrimination or humiliation due to their race or any other factor. If a restaurant cannot even guarantee the most basic sense of respect and decency, then no amount of lavish décor or high-priced ambience will make up for it. I sincerely hope no other customer has to go through such an ordeal, and I hope the management understands that this kind of behavior will cause irreversible harm to the restaurant’s reputation.

We had an amazing dinner which was made into a wonderful evening by our server Anth. He made us feel special from the moment he walked us to our table, and paid attention to every detail even providing fresh warm bread a butter for our 1 year old son. He know which dish’s to recommend and also make us feel so welcomed to our first ever visit to The Landmark Hotel. We will sure to come back and visit in the summer to experience the courtyard in the day!

Beautiful surroundings, delightful ambiance created by talented pianist, nestled in a gorgeous luxury hotel…all perfect for a special birthday meal! Service was second to none. Every member of staff was delightful and our server Anth was an absolute pleasure to be served by. Impeccable manners, friendly, helpful and a great example for our young 12 year old, who was equally blown away by the politeness and amazing service we received from Anth. Food was delicious too and we were able to pre-order halal beef steak fillets (72 hours prior to our booking), so we were not limited to just the vegetarian options! Anth was very attentive to our halal dietary requirements and guided us with our dessert selection too, without any prompting from us. Now that’s hospitality at its finest! What’s not to love!?

I have been to the Winter Garden Restaurant on several occasions with my friends. Each time we have come here for dinner it has been a wonderful experience. This place is timeless and beyond beautiful, the restaurant is located within a hotel and decorated so splendidly. There is also a pianist present, so live music is always playing in the background at dinner time. This adds to the ambience and elegance of the restaurant. My friends and I always book a time slot when we come to have dinner here. There are plenty of options on the menu, but I often go for the steak option - Rib Eye steak. As well as the Crème brûlée for dessert. The last time we went there, we were celebrating a friendship anniversary, the waitress then brought over a fruit tart with ‘Happy Anniversary’ on it. This was such a sweet and thoughtful gesture that really added to our night. We really appreciated it. I would highly recommend this restaurant for their delicious food, beautiful layout, live music and impeccable service. Would definitely come back again and again.

This review is for the champagne bar. While the building and atmosphere are impressive, the service was disappointing and fell short of expectations. We were initially given a table, only to be taken back moments later, and had to repeatedly ask for drinks and nibbles. For a luxury hotel, this level of service is far below what one would expect.

Delicious afternoon tea with great teas and unlimited sandwich and tea refills, but if you're the last timeslot request your refills quickly. I booked on OpenTable for their final timeslot 4:30pm on Saturday to celebrate my mom's retirement. We encountered a bit of a snafu before we arrived. While I was on my flight over, they rescheduled our tea to several days later when we would no longer be in town. I was confused and upset as I hadn't requested a change and had confirmed my reservation with a staff member at the hotel several days in advance. We decided to show up anyway. After showing them my originally scheduled reservation they were able to seat us and we found out later that a different person with my name had requested that their reservation be moved, so mystery solved. I ordered the Winter Garden blend, my mom ordered the Chai, and my dad ordered the orange fruits. The festive tea began with a glass of champagne followed by the sandwiches, which included a smoked salmon, egg, cucumber, and coronation chicken. We all loved the smoked salmon and coronation chicken. By the time we finished our sandwiches, we were asked if we wanted any more. Instead of refilling all four sandwiches they came by with a selection that we could pick from. We opted to get the coronation chicken and smoked salmon again. Because we were the last seating, that was the only time we were asked about sandwich refills which was a little disappointing as I would have liked refills of the other 2 sandwiches. Luckily we were able to order tea refills of snow bud for me, very berry for my mom, qnd orange fruits for my dad. All the teas were delicious! Both scones were nice and fluffy. They offered a strawberry jam, clotted cream and chocolate sauce to go with them. My mom quite enjoyed the chocolate spread. The desserts were cute and festive and included a mont blanc, Christmas bauble, yule log, and Christmas pudding. My favorites were the Christmas buable and yule log.

The restaurant is in a beautiful setting, lovely to listen to live music whilst eating and all the staff we come across were nice. A bit disappointed in the meal itself, struggled to find dishes I wanted to try on the menu, the food itself was ok but didn't match the stunning place it was in. Overall it was a nice experience, you won't be blown away by the food but everything else is class.

Excellent experience of an afternoon treat at this fabulous location. The staff are incredible and extremely polite and helpful. We were served by Mihai, whose manners were impeccable. Food is great, especially their range of afternoon cakes and scones.

We had afternoon tea to celebrate a birthday at The Landmark. Wonderful service. The food was gorgeous and as always, generously served. The tea choices were unique. Our waiter, Angelo, was very welcoming and patient and had a lovely warm smile.

We attended this restaurant for my mother’s 60th birthday; it was a large group of us, including a baby, wheelchair user and person with significant allergies. The restaurant was very responsive with prior communications and we were very impressed with their service on the day. They went out of their way to make sure we were cared for and I was really impressed with the manner of our server, Anca. Not only was she kind and responsive, she had also ensured she had memorised the allergens menu which made it so easy for my husband to order! Overall a delicious meal in a lovely venue with great service.

We booked the table there for our friends birthday because it looks nice, but we all very disappointed. The food was fine, the atmosphere and the decorations is great, but service is very bad. We need to wait for so long for the food coming up. Besides that, all table there they serve birthday treats for them, but not for us even though i put special occasion(birthday), and when i ask can i bring the cake inside, they asked us to pay £12/person if we want to. Never come back

Very nice and very central hotel in London, where you can enjoy an afternoon tea from 1-5 in the afternoon. It has several rooms and in both the atmosphere is very relaxed and pleasant accompanied by piano music. A nice experience!

This was the second year running we visited The Winter Garden for our anniversary meal. Unfortunately our expectations were not met this year. We arrived ahead of time, 2035 for a 2100 timing, and were seated without delay. Great start! Took approximately 15 mins to come and take our drinks order but our drinks didn’t arrive until 2115. Not ideal. Asked for a Guinness and a Sauvignon white wine from New Zealand. Waiter, who was very good to us all night, then comes back 5 mins later and tells us that there is no Guinness and no NZ Sauv. Not the end of the world. I have an Ale and my wife then samples the replacement wine, rejects it and asks for an Espresso Martini. Drinks turn up and hers is absolutely disgusting. Waiter returns to take the food order and to check the drinks situation roughly 2130, and my wife tells him the Martini is not very nice. Waiter replaces it with a much better tasting Martini “on the house”. After the bread comes out an hour after we’ve arrived the starters turn up which were nothing special but we eat them as we are pretty hungry and await the mains. We think our mains are on route when a different waiter brings along what turns out to be another tables starter meals and walks off. We obviously called someone over to take them away, who then proceeds to move them straight from us to the correct table, after we had touched the plates. Roughly 2155 our mains arrive, again for the standard expected based on last years experience, were not anything special. In fact my wife left half her meal. Could hear tables around us complaining, sending food back or asking for the manager and refuse dessert and ask for the bill. The bill arrives and we have been charged for both the Sauvignon £12 and the Espresso Martini £17. I highlighted this to our original waiter who apologetically removed them from the bill. The biggest turn off, and I am absolutely not a snob, was the lack of dress code. We believed this location to be a 5* fine dining experience when there were people in tracksuits cutting around or cargo pants and T-shirts. We don’t get to eat out in these places very often and we expected even a smart casual look but this was not followed. Overall experience was not good I’m afraid and we will be reluctant to visit again next year.

We went there for afternoon tea and it was amazing. There was really nice tea and delicious snacks. It was nice that we could re-order whatever food we wanted. The atmosphere inside was nice and luxurious. The staff was incredibly attentive and friendly. The price was of course very expensive and I think a bit too expensive. But overall it was a nice experience, thank you.

Came here after we travelled back from bicester village. For a restaurant experience where we walked in and had availability it was great. Felt welcome and wasn't awkward. Went for the 3 course and overall was happy with dishes that were served. Note that if you are looking for a meal to fill you up, this is more of an experience to have unique flavours. The winning strength and aspect of this restaurant definitely is the service of the staff. I felt they had a good balance of being familiar and welcoming without being too strong on it and giving a sense of privacy to the diners. Overall strong dishes that represent well Western dishes and an overall very relaxing experience had in such a remarkable establishment.

I recently visited Winter Garden to dine-in on the special occassion of my birthday. We received a warm welcome by the doorman and the lady at the front desk. All staff were very friendly and helpful. The exquisite decor, the lights, the live music - everything was extremely impressive. We went for the set menu of three courses which includes a glass of champagne. Butter and choices of fresh bread were being served all along. For the starter I had red mullet, cod for the main - both were delicious. For dessert I tried dark chocolate mousse which was also good. There was a special birthday tart in the end with live happy birthday music in the background, it was really special. Great dining experience overall!

Atmosphere is of course amazing, especially with the pianist! The service was ok, however not great and what was expected from this restaurant. The food was the real disappointment - the food was just very tasteless. For example, the cesar salad was literally just iceberg with burnt, unflavoured chicken. The cod had no flavouring whatsoever also! For this hotel, I’d expect way better service and food. I hope they’d improve this aspect, otherwise I wouldn’t return.

Beautiful place, with lovely music and amazingly attentive staff, however a little disappointed with the food.. presented well but lacking in flavour and love .. I had the lamb with red wine sauce which was a little thin) but lamb cooked perfectly and lovely chips, it was fine just not exceptional as expected.. my date had the chicken .. sous vide to death, bland and unappetising, I wish I had taken a picture for you .. there was some sweetcorn slop in the middle of the plate and then a roulade of flavourless chicken on the side, he didn't eat it. However the sticky toffee pudding was the best I had ever tasted! And I've had many!! The pianist was fabulous too, if it wasn't for the incredible service and look of the place it would be a one star simply for the disappointment. All in all you are paying for the ambience definitely not the food !

First class wedding afternoon tea. It was absolutely faultless....there was so much we even got a doggy bag to go home with.

Had afternoon tea here on the 12th of August as it was for an occasion. From the minute we stepped into the building, the kind and welcoming doorman made us smile and laugh. The decor, lighting and ambiance was exquisite. Staff at the front desk were friendly and very helpful, we were seated very quickly. John came and talked through the afternoon tea menu, we were very lucky as there was a women's tea week event going on, great presentation from the staff. Great selection of tea, sandwiches, scones, and delights. John reassured us about the halal menu and gave us some awesome recommendations for teas to try which paired really well with the food. Staff were very attentive and helpful. We took some lovely pictures under the beautiful palm trees, on the staircase and the balcony. The talented pianist played us a birthday song as requested. We received a complementary surprise birthday dessert with a candle which was very thoughtful. Overall we had the best time, would definitely recommend for special occasions. Please send our thanks to John, he was super helpful, attentive and made us laugh.

This is an easy 10/10. The location is great, the interior is great, the ambiance is great, the lighting is great, the customer service is great, the food is great, and I absolutely enjoyed my high tea.

This was our first afternoon tea experience and what an experience! Beautiful environment, remarkable pianist and amazing service delivered by John and Sulfikar. The tea sandwiches, scones and pastries were delicious. My favourite was the add on of pistachio ganache accompanied to the scones. We were treated to an anniversary tart for our special event. One of the best high tea experience in London I've ever done and I've done about 30 in different places. I had been looking at this place since last year after seeing videos online but I wanted to wait for my friend from Canada to come to London so we could do it together. Beautiful interiors of palm trees and the lady pianist was fantastic and took our song requests. Super nice vibe. Anth was our very kind and pleasant server with a smile - always made sure we were happy with our portions. Angelo was our other server who came back a few times to offer more refills. Two fantastic men. My friend from Canada was also surprised when they came to give her an extra tart as I had secretly shared to the team that she just got engaged. Fantastic service and the portions were massive. The teas were lovely and the food was 10/10. Will definitely recommend them!
