Winter Garden Restaurant in City of London, Westminster

Visited for afternoon tea on a Sunday afternoon and I have to say so far this is my best experience of an afternoon tea. From the food to the service, everything was exceptional. The staff were brilliant, they kept coming over ever so often and asking if we needed anything else. This is something I found lacking when I visited the Ritz for afternoon tea. I would definitely recommend afternoon tea here over Ritz simply due to the excellent service we received.

Top drawer establishment. We were very well taken care of by both Helmi & Anth! The set menu is similarly tasty!

Absolutely phenomenal restaurant within a luxurious hotel. I came here for a birthday celebration as a party of 14 people. We were seated at the semi-private area of the restaurant which was a lovely experience - felt more intimate as well. The restaurant decoration was off the roof! Amazing glass roof and the stairs that lead to the toilets, also incredible. As for the food, we were required to send in our pre-orders from the seasonal set menu. Food was delicious, served quickly and I found no fault at all. The waiters were attentive and very friendly. Also a massive thank you to Agnieszka, who was very helpful in communications. I thoroughly enjoyed my experience at the Winter Garden, and will definitely be back again!

Very nice service and atmosphere

Beautiful restaurant but they were quite hostile. Rushed us. Didn’t feel wanted nor welcome and made for an awkward birthday dinner

We visited the restaurant in April and tried Afternoon tea. It was a wonderful experience and the varieties were excellent. The atmosphere is amazing. Helpful staff and offer halal options. Worth a repeat visit.

I have been approached by someone trying to pay me to rate this restaurant which I haven’t been to! If the restaurant reply to me and confirm they do not do this, I will take down the review. Otherwise- don’t trust a thing you read. Update- don’t seem to be able to remove so upping the stars

A fine restaurant. Atmosphere, piano in the background and lovely food. Immaculate service. Beef rib was worth the 5 stars.

Captured a truly elegant and memorable dining experience, filled with sophistication and indulgence. My day sets in a stunning, glass-roofed atrium, adorned with towering palm trees and classical architecture, exuding a refined ambiance. The grand piano at the center hints at live music, elevating the atmosphere to one of timeless luxury. However, the wine server is not quite well trained as he gave me the cork to smell after pouring wine into my glass. 😂 but it is absolutely fine.

I had the pleasure of dining here and indulging in their exquisite three-course festive menu. The enchanting live piano music complemented my meal beautifully, and the service was good.

We love the landmark hotel and the winter garden restaurant. Especially afternoon tea is our favourite. The food is also exquisite, except this time, we did not like the main, which was beef with was chewy and tastes bland. However, it's one time through the years we went there. So we highly recommend this place.

We celebrated my partner’s bday here with a dinner. This place felt like a dream! We actually forgot we’re in London! 😊 The service is excellent! Amazing food and unreal atmosphere with live music! Mihail our waiter was superb! My partner even got an extra dessert with a candle which was a lovely touch from the restaurant to make the night more special for him ☺️ We will def return!

Oh my goodness what a lovely way to spend a decadent yet understated afternoon. Delicious Afternoon tea with large selection of unusual teas and refillable sandwiches. Impeccable service. Exquisite cakes and scones with cream, jam and chocolate ganache. As it was one of our party's birthday they brought a small extra cake with a lit candle and played a quiet happy birthday. Lovely pianist quietly in the background. Perfect afternoon!

Delicious food and atmosphere, like to visit again

We had BDay dinner here. Glad that we allocated at the area a bit separate from the other as we request 1 long table. Feel more private where we sit. The hotel and restaurant were decorated beautifully. You can see from the pictures I attached. We can take lots of photo mostly in every corner of this place. Food was delicious, cocktail were nice too. The staff was fabulous and really taking care of us. I always love to eat at star hotel as they know the SOP for the restaurant and the staff here were very professional. I love the quality of the cutlery and the Chinaware use to serve the food. High standard. Food presented well. Location of the hotel really convenient, walking distance to the station. In term of price, it's really affordable, considering all the facilities and level of services given by the staff. We will come back for lunch or just have a breakfast.

Went to the winter garden restaurant here. It's is a beautiful place to have a very relaxing special meal. It's beautiful. The servers were so lovely and friendly, if anything, a little too attentive. Sometimes, it felt that they were hovering and watching, waiting to fill your glass or remove plates. The food was good. Great set menu. Sparkling water, though, was very overpriced considering its only san pelligrino Overall, though, I'm glad I visited

We were here for a dinner on a Saturday night. Amazing food with superb service in a place that is even more beautiful and impressive than what the pictures show. The Beef Wellington was absolute perfection. Live jazz band playing in the background was the cherry on the cake. 5/5 on all counts.

Look forward to waking up just so you can have breakfast, the egg royale is fantastic. The dinner I was a little disappointed, about the taste and presentation were good just needed something more to bring the Halibut and sea veg together.

Quite pricey, but nothing shocking for London. The place is amazing, the live music adds a very nice touch. The afternoon tea is very good and the service and personal are perfect. I have been there 3 times and would go there again.
