Wings International Cuisine in Kingston upon Hull, City of

This was a mixed experience, as no proper booking explanation given. I felt it was overpriced , for 3 adults and one child. There were some very good waiters but a lot of the staff were not well customer service trained. However the food was varied and very good, and although a bit confusing as an all you can eat was very glamourous. However the place was crowded so there seemed a slight pressure to get you in and out, and could be improved with better Mgt and customer service. Most staff were helpful tho. However felt it was a bit overhyped and if this is 21st restaurant experience for family, needs improvement.

The food was good. Serviced rushed. There is no atmosphere people go to eat not have a good time. That's the opinion I got. Just wish I could of ate more lol😊

Good food good selection good quality

The food isn't great more often than not it's warm at best and minimal flavour, the service also lacks a smile from every single employee. The price is high for the low end food you get even if it is all you can eat. There is a greedy mentality, they won't give you more than 4 tiny milk pots for a pot of tea! There's a language barrier with most of the employees. If my daughter didn't insist we all came for her birthday I wouldn't come here again.

Good all-you-can-eat buffet, but prices have gone silly, and no more soft drink refils. Will be reluctant to visit again due to the prices, would recommend couples but not families as youll be looking at approx £100 for a family of 4. Desserts arent anything special, most of them looked like theyd been bought from Asda and resold. Plenty on offer however

Came here on a Sunday feeling hungry with my son. The main dishes here were acceptable. However, the Chinese chicken curry might have been raw?! The desert here was fabulous however. They had rolled icecream and a chocolate fountain? My sons dream. I also enjoyed it, though I wish they had strawberries with the chocolate fountain. The atmosphere was lovely, the decorations were nice. And the service was really kind.

Arrived just before opening on an evening. You are asked to take a seat in the waiting area in reception before they get everything ready. There were quite a few people queuing up so I thought this was a good sign being so popular. You pay upon entry a set price and then it's all you can eat. They give you the option to order your drinks when you pay for the meal or you can order later at the bar. Keep in mind that if you order your drinks first, you still have to go to collect them from the bar. Once inside you can notice right away that you will be spoilt for choices. They have so many different options that I believe it's impossible to try it all in one sitting. Nevertheless, don't forget to save some space for dessert. I did go around few times and managed to finish 4 plates, however this made it difficult to go back up the stairs at the end. All in all a nice experience and reasonable priced meal. Will definitely return

Good food, very cheap price So many options

This is one of my favourite places to go with my family and friends, and we never leave dissatisfied. They have a variety of different dishes, which are suitable for everyone. The staff at Wins International Cuisine are not only attentive and friendly but also knowledgeable about the menu, providing excellent recommendations and ensuring a pleasant dining experience. Let's not forget about the desserts as they are simply divine! You get more than enough options , offering the perfect ending to your dining adventure. Whether you have a sweet tooth or not, the desserts here are a must-try, guaranteed to leave you with a lasting impression of sweetness and satisfaction. I recomand it 100% as I was never disappointed in the past 6 years.

Me and my family loveeee coming to wings especially for dinner and for the deserts. The staff is lovely to chat to, the atmosphere is great. We have been there especially when we wanted to celebrate a birthday in the family, as they bring you a platter with a cake with your name on it and with the birthday song, or they send a robot to bring it and even drinks (he sings the song for you🤩). Would definitely recommend it to everyone!

Went today for a meal and found out my chicken was pink throughout all of it, eat quite abit of it, hopefully won't get food poisoning (not a great photo, added as took it quickly without causing a scene)

The chicken in the Chinese curry was very chewy and even still raw inside, brought the issue up with a waiter and he immediately took my plate away and sent over who I believe was the manager, the manager insisted it was cooked and that’s just the way their chicken looks inside and went on to tell me “if you don’t like it then leave”. Extremely rude and poor customer service. Avoid

Firstly, I was seated in a corner by the waiter, and the smell from that corner was so bad during the meal that my partner and I lost our appetite for a while! Secondly, all the dishes were very bad, the meat was not fresh, it felt like they were re-selling the unsold meat the next day. Last but not least, the hygiene was very bad, the table smelled bad and the table was dirty. Half an hour after we ate, my friend and I threw up, our stomachs were very upset.

Food okish, much prefer cosmos though. Staff didn't seem like they wanted to be there to be honest. Felt rushed. Wnt be going again.

Busy buffet bar with super selection of dishes. Very busy which tells its own story.

There is plenty of choices of a variety of foods and something for everyone. Food was good, service was good, and always someone there to help when needed. Could only find toilets up 2 flights of stairs and not the best of toilets. Felt as if I was back in a night club toilet that was very dirty, smelly, with feet sticking to floor. No sign of regular or hourly cleaning in them. I definitely wouldn't use the toilets again. Apart from the toilets it was a good place to eat.

I really don’t know about the sushi, it wasn’t good for me. Other food was ok. The dessert was amazing.

Don’t expect the best quality but the meats here really are awful. Also paid full price (around £18) for a lot of the choices to not be available.

Food was lovely and hot loads of choice the staff were all very friendly and well mannered.

Visited 21/08/24 Went in asked what the restaurant ‘wings’ was serving, was told international cuisine buffet. So they made us PAY FIRST before we down into basement. Went downstairs really busy screaming kids everywhere!! Went around the buffet, mainly all Chinese dishes!! Indian 3 dishes didn’t taste anything like Indian at all. Chicken in all the dishes was slimy to a point it made me napkin out of mouth!! Pizza base was hard, dry as though it had been there too long Nuggets, chips n cocktail sausages were frozen crap! Get you pay what you get for but seriously had a plate with noodles n hard pizza a deep fat fried nugget, slimy chicken didn’t eat n mushrooms oh an a bit of curry sauce!!! Really failed to understand the word international when 85% was silly little dishes made into a dish!! Like cheap frozen chips then again cheap frozen chips called salt n chilli chips okay throw a few peppers n spring onions on…. Great!!! Most of puddings, especially cakes are frozen!! Is all I can say raise your standards/ingredients and charge more, I’m a believer in pay for what you eat If I’d known what was downstairs I would have never entered!!! No decent restaurant asks for money up front unless they have doubt people are going to complain and want money back!!! Enjoy our money knowing food was really crap!

Very bad experience to me today .. I have been to lots of buffet and had good experience. 10 of my friends and children went there I thought it would be easier for the staff to carry the plates so stake all the remains of food together which was not a lot in one plate all 10 people. Staff was very rude towards me talking about how food is expensive as if their buffet was very cheep and that does not even include drinks. Staff was still trying to have conversations with me to explain how expensive everything is. I have work hard all my life so I know .. it’s hard, that is why I am in your buffet to enjoy my time with my family and children but the way staff came to me not only one but 2 to remind it was awful and made my evening that I couldn’t digest.

Always love going to Wings but at 9.10 they were clearing up around us and using bleach smelling products. Desserts had been put away apart from a few mini cakes. Very disappointed.

Dined in wings today with my grandchildren paid with my card during the meal they wanted another drink I gave them £10 and got the change £4 we got the bus and the driver said all £1 coins were fake we didn’t pay cash anywhere else so they came from the bar downstairs they took advantage and gave the coins to children just be careful.

Booked as a children's birthday party (11yo) however despite the excellent food and choice this was overshadowed by the discriminative policy wings have that if your over 1.5m tall you pay adult prices! This makes it very expensive since all but 2 of 9 children were over this height. As a parent I must say this is ridiculous.....we are eating food not taking a ride on a theme park.

There was no seafood. Sushi just barely.

All you can eat for about £15 per person. There might be discounts for groups. You may have to prebook if going in groups. Parking can be challenging as it is located in the city centre. Fresh meat based foods, pastas, pastries. You can't take anything out and there's penalty for wastage.

Awful experience. Only just opened and the toilets were disgusting and smelt horrendous. Meat and food was dry and bland with lots of options missing and barely anything vegetarian. Lager tasted off. Will not be returning and do not recommend. Really disappointed!

The first time we tried it last year and the food was amazing! Lots to choose from and very tasty. This year was a bit disappointing, not too much to choose from and a different taste. Still good for what you pay, but can see the difference after one year.

Wings is an excellent all you can eat Chinese buffet. There is a massive choice, and there are also some Indian dishes. It is cheaper to eat earlier in the day. However, there are slightly fewer options, eating later on the price goes up, but they add a lot more interesting dishes and variety. It is good to eat there whatever time you go and i like that you can try a little of lots of different dishes.

It was a lovely night with my friends in Wings. There are lots of options, especially sweet section. The crème bullee is absolutely amazing. Definitely come back!!!

4 stars because the toilets are dirty, the wife could not use the toilet

I went here on Monday and the customer service was incredible everyone was hard working and polite place looked clean and the food was amazing aswell also its great value for money to cant go wrong i will definitely be going back again 😀

I would say Wings is a good place for larger groups of people. There is plenty of food options from sushi to curry to pizza and Chinese food. For any one with dietary requirements, this is not the place for you. Almost every dish contains gluten and soya due to the way it is cooked. The only gluten free food was pilau rice and chicken tikka. This was quite disappointing to see as there’s so many things that would usually not contain gluten but I can understand the food needs to stay out for a while so this may be a method they use to keep it fresh etc. The service is minimal so not much to comment on, you buy your food and head straight down to the buffet. The staff sometimes can be a little rude and each around you to clean and tidy whilst you are eating, this can be off putting. You also only get 1 knife and fork for the whole duration of eating, when they take your plate they will put your dirty knife and fork back on the table. It just creates a mess and means you have to keep using the same utensils. Personally I don’t love this, but also can understand they don’t have an unlimited amount. Overall, not a bad place but also nothing to be too excited by.

the worst part was the undercooked chicken. it was semi pink inside in every piece i cut into. curry had a good taste tho chow mein was a good consistency but had no flavour at all. desserts also lacked flavour barring the chocolate gateau which had nice icing. teppenyaki ice cream was amazing. very busy which kind of put me on edge, lots of kids running around which gave me a fear of me dropping my plate but otherwise a good atmosphere. good service as well, lots of staff on hand

It's off putting when staff are loitering around your table n then asking if u have finished before u have actually finished. The toilets aren't very clean, blood stains and poo stains I'm the toilets and very smelly

Kids loved it due to the unbelievable selection of food. Biggest buffet I've ever seen. However food extremely salty with a lot of the Chinese dishes being inedible. The layout is a bit strange, felt like going to a night club but it is run very well considering how huge and busy it is (must seat 300 people) I probably wouldn't go again but if in the area I fear the kids would make me!

i have become ill suddenly after eating here, i wouldn’t recommend eating here. it’s unhygienic and the food isn’t that good.

Only one down fall ,no parking, got a parking ticket

Was shown to a table with such dirty cutlery, tried to move was told no. Very rude staff. You are treat like a cattle market not relaxing at all. Dirty plates, food dry and absolutely gross how mucky some food was that was left out and fingered by other people especially when something got near to the bottom. Disgusting food, dirty and noisy will not be eating here again.

This was excellent. We had a bit of food which was ok but the star of the show was the rolled ice cream. Mia, the person serving us the ice cream was so kind and her ice cream was fantastic. All in all, this is the best place to get food, especially the rolled ice cream, in Hull.

Went there for a birthday celebration. Lots of dishes to choose from. Good place for friends and family.

Food was lovely, but this was 8pm sunday, we asked what time food was on till before we paid and told 10pm, by 9pm the sushi was empty and turned off, everything was left to run out and chocolate fountain dismantled at 9.30. If i ask a question be honest. We felt we had to select our deserts before we had even had our main food.

Tasty and quite a variety to choose from different cuisines. Will definitely come back. Love the place.

I have been with my family for birthday party. Food was good and lots selection of desserts. Nice place for a Sunday brunch. Kids enjoy it.

Came here tonight a 13th birthday party and there was 24 of us. My little boy couldn't wait for a table so the manger let us in first. While I was sat down this rude waitress started screaming and making a massive scene saying I had only paid for 22. She made me leave my child to go sort the problem. Eventually she was wrong and we had paid but she ruined our night and we will never return

This didn't live up to expectations. There is a big range of choice. But most was tasteless. I won't be going back.

First time in this place. Great greeting as you walk in quick service . A short walk and a short wait to get seated. 2 beers for the price of one and a half a good start. Fantastic selection of foods from all over. Self service, go back as many times as you want. Food well enough present-day plenty of it. I had 2 trips just so I could try some extra styles of chicken. Price was awesome, under 17£ for everything ,very relaxed atmosphere and plenty of room.

I couldn't really fault Wings in the main, the food was delicious and there was so much choice! I think it would take several trips to actually get to try everything that was on offer. The two minor issues that I picked up on were 1 - the ladies' rest-room floor was incredibly "sticky", I don't know why, whether it was due to not being cleaned properly, or just the flooring being of a naturally sticky nature, but I didn't find it particularly pleasant to walk on & it wasn't the nicest start to my visit. However, the restaurant itself was clean & the staff were diligent in their clearing & cleaning of tables. The other bugbear I had was that two of us ordered water to drink. Everyone's drinks arrived quickly, except the water. Eventually, I asked a passing member of staff about it & they told me they didn't bring water to the table, and that we had to go to the bar to fetch it. It would have been helpful to have been told this! It would probably have helped us with the ensuing confusion at the bar. My DiL went to fetch the drinks, but she was gone so long I thought I'd see what the problem was, when I got there, she was stood at at the hugely busy bar surrounded by staff racing around ordering drinks, we felt were an encumberance. There was an uncomfortable moment when a member of staff asked for our table number, which we couldn't remember, & I was reluctant to walk all the way back as I am relatively disabled & find walking a challenge, eventually another member of staff told him to just give us the water & we returned to our seats. We couldn't understand why it was such a big deal, with the waiter pulling up our drinks order to check we'd actually ordered water! The confusion continued when I asked my husband for another glass as I was desperately thirsty- he came back asking for my (not quite empty) glass so I could have a refill! In an all you can eat restaurant where you get a clean plate each time you go up - I couldn't understand why it was such a big deal ~ I only ever drink water when I'm out, I don't drink fizzy drinks or alcohol ever ~ I literally only drink tea, coffee or water, so I wasn't being difficult, or awkward, I was just enjoying a meal out with my family. We'd driven over 50 miles to get to this restaurant on the recommendation of some family members who had found it by chance, so I was disappointed to feel so stressed for asking for just a glass of tap water. I would have happily gone up for the water had I been told! As I would have just as happily relinquished my glass had I been told! It seems so silly, but it stressed out my evening because I felt totally penalised for being a water drinker. I know I absolutely would not have been made to feel such a nuisance if I'd ordered a fizzy drink. However, I hasn't stopped me from going, & I hope we will again one day, but now I am well aware they do not appreciate water drinkers, and will ensure I will stop off at the bar first before i go to my seat.

My Son wanted to come here for his birthday on the 1st April & we certainly will not be going again! Walk past the stairs smells of toilets the place feels grotty & dirty certainly doesn’t feel clean! My son ate some chicken which within the 2nd peace it was raw which unfortunately has left him with food poisoning as we are fully sure the 1st peace was…food was mediocre won’t be coming back again

First time visit, I'd like to think it won't be the last. Went at lunch time and some of the sections weren't on (kebabs, tapenyaki, a lot of Indian dishes, hot dogs and a few more). However, there was still plenty of choice. The Chinese food was fantastic! Husband enjoyed the couple of Indian dishes that were out. The pizzas were really nice and freshly made. My 10yr old unfortunately didn't enjoy much but she can be picky. Still, she enjoyed the satay chicken followed by rolled ice cream and chocolate cake (obviously🙄). The service was good, especially seeing as it was so busy. Plates are cleared up quickly and tables cleaned. Can't complain overall. Looking forward to maybe trying an evening service and seeing what else is on offer. But at lunch time for a tenner all you can eat, I don't see how anyone can complain.

Went today 02/04/2024 went for dinner totally disappointed no Italian spaghetti or food apart from pizza, no Indian food or Currys, no chocolate fountain, no jelly or mini cake a few gateux and ice cream that's it no English food loads of stations and warmers empty literally half the menu mainly Chinese not really international cuisine especially paying all that money especially as what was there was dry and cold totally rip off they advertised all these items and cuisines and new stations but none running food what we did have was rubbish cheaper going to a normal Chinese especially as that's all they served, it was my daughter's 8th birthday meal so she was upset at the poor selection and they never said on the website or when we payed there was limited selections, well never go again.

Went there for my birthday and had a wonderful experience. There was a queue because of the number of customers but that was quickly sorted. The staff attended to us with a cake and the food was also great for the price range. Must visit if you're in Hull

We went to the restaurant on a busy Saturday night for a birthday party, and it was awesome that a robot brought out the cake. The staff were friendly, and the atmosphere is perfect.

Horrific experience here. Came with auntie and 14 year old son. Good all rated the same, couldn't tell difference between squid, chicken, prawns, beef; all tasted the same. I asked manager for refund as I had one plate and eaten maybe four forkfuls, he checked CCTV to confirm this but then refused refund. When I started to say I was refusing to leave until I received refund (£40 for 2 people having a total of about 8 folk fills of food is not okay) I said I was happy to give him £10 for the few mouthfuls we had both eaten and he refused and started recording the plates of food which I didn't care about but he then started recording my 14 year old son! I asked him to stop as he's only 14 and he refused so I placed my hand on his phone covering the camera and turned it to the side, not once did I take the phone. He then moved towards me like he was going to hit me; when my son then got up to stop him doing this (although 14 he is 6ft) the manager then stepped back, called police and I was informed by police he stated I was assaulting him even though the saw on CCTV i didn't. Eventually police suggested he refund full amount to keep the peace and I agreed I would still pay for the small amount of food we had eaten; what I had originally suggested to resolve the issue before he decided to waste police time and behave in an inappropriate way towards a woman! I would NEVER ago back even if they were offering free food and I was homeless. Real shame as the aesthetics of the place are lovely! I have left a photo of the manager who treated us so badly even though I was calling him sir and being polite and saying please and trying to resolve the issue.

Waiter had ago at me for the amount off food wasted, baring in mind there was 2 kids with us under 6, not happy he said we wasted about £5 worth of food however it cost us for 5 people just short of £80, not happy
