Not been here but I would expect a discount being a Wingfield myself. I see some Wingfield favourites have been included on the review pictures. Can't wait to visit sometime in the future

This is a cafe except when Wimbeldon Tennis is on then it becomes a restaurant. However little , actually no effort is made to upgrade it to this with a price of £125 per head plus service. Inside you are squashed in like sardines. The food is ok. All the starters are cold, choice of 3. 3 main courses too and desserts. Service was very good. Ordered a sprite wasn’t told it was zero , replaced it no fuss. Also ordered a Pimms which came with no mint….quite shocked by that. Wanted coffee at end of meal but only filter coffee available which was an additional charge. Its 2024 not 1984! Cant say id rush back.

I visited this cafe on a weekday around three o'clock in the afternoon. As you enter the lobby on the ground floor of the building, you will see a bust of Major Wingfield with information about this man who was one of the founders of the modern rules of the game of tennis. You can choose to walk up the stairs to your own cafe or you can take the lift to the first floor. The cafe is self-service and offers, in addition to ice cream desserts, various types of coffee and tea, as well as hot meals. For sitting, you can choose either the terrace with a view of Wimbledon Park or choose a place inside. I preferred sitting inside the cafe as it was not too warm outside at the time of my visit. I think I chose well. Inside, they played music from the 1920s and 1930s, which added to the atmosphere of the place. I will share one more piece of information with you. Sorry, I had to go to the bathroom. But to the point, why am I writing this here? The toilets, at least the men's ones, did not play the music they played in the cafe, but there was a live broadcast of a tennis match that was being played somewhere on a tennis court 🙂⚘️

Good standard sized café with top dollar food at standard quality. Remember, if you want some free food, then do the Wimbledon tour. Toilets are too small and not the best quality.

Spacious cafe with various food and beverage options. The staff is very friendly. On the centre court and next to the Wimbledon Museum. The strawberries, a classic in Wimblendon, was delicious! I also have a salad that was ok. I don’t like the Pimm’s.

Spacious cafe with various food and beverage options. The staff is very friendly. On the centre court and next to the Wimbledon Museum. Has some great pieces of Wimbledon memorabilia and the history of lawn tennis. The atmosphere is very relaxed. The food is great and the coffee is good as well. Overall, worth a visit when coming to sight see or watch Wimbledon matches.

Wimbledon 2023: disappointing lunch at The Wingfield. What's happened to The Wingfield this year!? We've enjoyed so many wonderful lunches here during Wimbledon. Up until this year, the food, service, and atmosphere have always been exemplary. However, this visit was disappointingly substandard in comparison. The restaurant itself was sectioned off and reduced in size quite significantly: internally and over the terrace area, making the space feel cramped and lacking in atmosphere. The food was not at all what we've come to expect. In fact, there was at least one unpleasant element within each one of the three courses. And/or some item or ingredient was missing from a plate as described on the menu. The 'ham ballotine' starter being particularly unpalatable: tough, chewy, and fusty in taste. My cod main course was undercooked and raw in the centre. The celery was missing from the cheese plate - and the grapes on it were sad and bitter... (Which is exactly how I felt after our lunch!) My guess is that there'll be some similarly negative feedback from others. I sincerely hope that whoever is responsible for what's gone wrong this year, is held accountable. And that by next year, the normal high levels at The Wingfield are resumed.

Champagne Afternoon Tea at the Wingfield. What better treat to break up 7 hours of tennis spectating. Everything fresh, substantial and tasty. Our service was excellent. Keen, enthusiastic young waiter, on a gap year, full of wit and charm. This place is a treat during those 2 special Wimbledon weeks. No complaints. A year later: tried the early lunch menu. From about noon onwards. Finished in perfect time for Centre Court. Three course meal with unlimited wine, water and coffee. Mains of Cod and Chicken pictured. Again, friendly and prompt service. An expensive treat but well worth it to make the day that little bit extra special and memorable.

We had an underwhelming lunch here after a guided tour - a couple sandwiches and some hot drinks that were all slightly overpriced. We were hoping to try the strawberries and cream but they were not listed on the menu even though they were available at the register. We didn't see them before we filled up on lunch which was so mediocre that we decided to forego any dessert.

A hugely over-priced restaurant that serves some decent food (not extraordinary tho) in the middle of all England tennis club. As part of our visit to Wimbledon, we booked a lunch service at Wingfield, as it’s recommended as a nice experience from some blogger online. The lunch costed £90 + 12.5% service fee, which had to be paid in advance. So before our visit, we paid £209 already. For a meal at this price, I was expecting some extraordinary taste and creation. When checking the sample menu, I was expecting a 4-course meal. However, on the day of our visit, the food was just okay, definitely not in the top tier of restaurants I’ve been in London. Special mention to the chicken breast, it’s just way to salty. Also to our surprise, the meal is just a standard 3-course meal. The service was average too. When we arrived, nobody served us to the table. Instead we were told to find table #23 ourselves. During the entire course of meal, our wine was only filled once. This is why I don’t get the idea of paying service in advance 😬😬 Overall I think the price should be adjusted to £50-60 range for its special location (a normal 3-course meal at a top-tier restaurant is roughly this price). Also, please let the customers to pay service after they receive the service. I don’t think I’ll pay this restaurant another visit ever again.

We went there for lunch before the math. The food was play, not amazing for the price. The wines that they offered were quite nice though. They do have gluten free bread if you ask. The rest of the menu was not very informative on the dietary requirement. It is Set menu but quite restricted with the choices.
