I think they put a bucket of salt in all of the food. They were willing to take it back and refund us but it was all plated and had thrown containers in the bin.

Take away and eat in. I tried both. Different prices. About 1.5pounds more to eat in, 1pound charge for tap water :/ Beef oyster sauce very nice. Good service, probably will come back again since its the only Chinese restaurant in Portrush

Eaten in once and had many takeaways from here. Food good and a good portion sizes. Free prawn crackers wouldn't go a miss when spending £20-£30 a go.

Have tried several things on the menu (takeaway) and I really can't fault it. Sit in also available. I would recommend.

We love the dolphin and have supported over the years. Last night was no different had a family group to feed over holidays and headed down to place order. Well sorry to say as we know everyone is feeling the pinch. But half a filet in my chicken burger !! For 4.50 I expect a full fillet in my fully dressed burger. There is some surprises in life people dont like and thats loyal customers being let down and disappointed when they still choose to choose to send their hard earned wages in your chip shop. Sorry this had to be said Hungary customer

The curry sauce was nice,food hasn't improved much. Noodles where starchy,not enough flavour. Pitty they only take cash and not credit/debit cards.

Fab food and service. Had the chicken and black bean and sweet sour chicken, both top notch. Definitely recommend checking them out if you're in Portrush.

Ordered meals at 5 55pm was told it would be 40 minutes, went back at 6.30pm they couldn't find the order waited another 20 minutes still no order. Good start to the holiday I'm being generous with the rating.

Food was really tasty. The king prawns where cooked to perfection.

Takeaway Service was fast, Portion size was good, but found the taste of the food quite bland to my liking. Chicken Curry was lacking but Sweet & Sour Chicken was by far better. Would I go back?.... If I'd no other choice. I'll try around for something tastier.

Managed to get a table and I got kung po chicken and she got special chowmein. Wee man fish fingers and chips. The soups were nice though small and the mains good decent portions. Food we both liked a lot. Decor ok but bland. Would eat here again. Only Chinese in town I think.

Ordered food, was told it would be 20 mins, hour later....got food, incorrect order! (Edited) later... food was fantastic!!!!!! Although next tine I’ll phone my order in first!

Great food, massive portions and all at sensible prices. Only one caveat - don't do what I did and turn up expecting to pay the lazy way using your phone/card; this place is cash only.

Got a take away from here for the first time as we are staying here on holiday dont really know wheres good to eat around here and the menu for here was left with some other information so we thought wed try it. Portion sizes are smaller to what we are use to and most of us where happy with what we got the gravy half and half was not nice at all nothing but bland. Our locals in c.o armagh are far nicer wont be ordering from here again.

This is the only Chinese Takeaway in Portrush as far as I know. We have eaten from here twice while staying in a local caravan park. We ordered sweet and sour chicken, honey chili chicken and chicken fried rice. All of these dishes have been reasonable although we are used to larger portions from our local Chinese. A decent option when away from home.

Ate here on a busy town night and this was fairly quiet I now know why, only just ok food but full credit to them for the best made up excuse of a poorly made up Chinese which was left uneaten they nearly had me believe it . Not wanting to make a fuss so we paid up and left! Spend the money wisely it’s the last of mine you get.

Great selection of Chinese meals and very reasonably priced. Very handy location too. So glad to have a Chinese restaurant that does sit-in as well as take-away.

Im a local and support local business all year including this restaurant. Visited tonite placed my order and waited. Over an hour later i eventually received my food. Now i understand that town is busy lots of vistors and delighted to see it. BUT no excuse for bad customer service. I was not told at point of ordering my food about the extended waiting time. If i had i cud have made a decision to go elsewhere. Never mind im only a customer and one that wont be back. Shame that when vistors are gone and its a long winter and business rely on local trade!!!

Got a carry out on a Saturday night. Food was just ok. ##portion size was very small. Come on Wing Hong. An extra few chips and a wee spoonful of extra rice. Chips were those awful frozen type with no potato in the middle. The fried rice was quite good. Nice and fluffy and dry. I wont be rushing back too soon. Will defo not be ordering chips.

Had a takeaway from Wing Hong tonight and it was beautiful, we won't be back in Portrush until February, but we definitely be back to this Chinese maybe even dine in the next time. Liz Boyd. Thanks.

We visited on a Saturday evening, when the take-away business was very busy, although we were among the relatively few dinning in. The food was fairly standard Chinese fare, and service was mostly quite good, although it took a long time to get someone to take our money (and more to the point bring us the change) when it came time to pay. Note that this is a cash-only establishment - this is made perfectly clear by prominent signs, so it was quite amusing to hear the number of customers picking up take-aways who claimed to be unaware. And don't ask them to deliver (as of Sept 2018).

We fell in at 9 pm with 4 people when every other restaurant in Portrush was full and wouldn't have us. It was an oasis of quiet and food was generous and tasty, and very affordable. Great find, wee gem.

portion size is very small and egg fried rice is more like mushy boiled rice. need a new chinese takeaway in Portrush!!!!! Gina

Waited 45mins on our food. As people who ordered takeaways came and went. Then the woman said ‘oh you’s have seem to be waiting a while’ Food was rank. There was 2 other small tables in. If u drive up the road a bit... theres a dominos.... go there 👍🏼

Got a takeaway for the family. Everyone agreed they wouldn't rush back. Food very salty but bland at the same time. The hygiene rating of 3 (generally satisfactory) was off-putting to begin with. Not sure there is much competition in Portrush though.

Wrong order was "not their fault", front desk woman wrote wrong order down. Waited an hour and a half altogether for food after having to reorder my food Was asked to return chips that i had paid for with my first order. Staff swore at me and my friends and were generally very unpolite. Need a bit of staff disiplin and manners. The food however was enjoyable but then any food is enjoyable when youve been starving for over an hour and a half Do not go here, not worth your time

Generous portions and quality meat (big tender chunks of chicken breast) in both dishes ordered. Clean and tidy establishment. Staff polite and friendly.

The food was slow in coming to our table and with a young child it was troublesome, however it was well worth the wait, the favours and taste were fantastic, if you are someone who enjoys Chinese food I promise you that you haven't had Chinese until you had this

Our regular Chinese and loved, not only by us, but always by visitors we have shared with. A good menu and always really good food. Never been disappointed.

Myself & my family had a takeaway from here last week. The place was clean & staff friendly. Food was served quickly & reasonably priced. I myself had chicken curry, it was OK, have had tastier curries. May visit again to try something different.

Visitamos Ala Hong los martes por la noche desde que fuimos en 1830 dejamos el camarero era fantástico y muy servicial y amable. La comida era muy buena y a un precio razonable. Nos sentamos en el llevar a cabo, pero nunca se detuvo. Era muy popular. Sin duda visitar de nuevo en nuestra próxima visita.

Horrible experience . The staff are deaf and need to learn how to speak English. Didn't get what I ordered and a refund was a laughing matter by the woman at the front desk . Food was at a greasy spoon standard and not the average Chinese experience I would of hoped for . Will never be back , please don't go here.

Went to this restaurant for quick take away, fast service and lovely girl at reception who greeted us second time visiting thinking we would change orders! Food is delicious too :)

Ordered a take away meal, with only one person in front of us. It took 40 mins before our food was ready and we ordered nothing special. Not even an apology for such a long wait.When we got home we noticed the portion sizes were small, which was good as the food was at best below average, in fact nobody would eat the curry. Sorry to say I will drive to Coleraine rather than use this place again.

Ordered food one night and it was rather expensive for such small portions and when we got the food home they had not given us the full order! When I phoned to complain the girl started saying you did not order that and when I told her I wasnt happy with the price we paid for what we got she very rudely said 'ok bye' and hung up the phone.. Would not recommend at all

Our last night in Portrush, called in to be seated, no waiting at all, staff very friendly, portions a lot bigger than we're used to could have shared a meal between 2, was offered a take out, but I don't think we'd have got it through customs

I love Wing Hong, never disappointed the food is always lovely and the portions are an excellent size. the place is spotless and fast reliable service! As a local it has always been our favourite defo worth a visit :-)

It was ok it wasn't the best but far from the worst it was clean the staff fine prices fair the portion size is a bit small but overall not bad I would go there again.

This is a hidden gem. I live in the town and have never been here but I was passing one even ing and fancied a chinese to take home. Boy was I surprised. The food was excellent and very fast service. Well done wing hong

Waited over an hour for food the staff was terrible . When the food did come the girl then told us some of the things that we ordered they didn't have instead of telling us an hour earlier when we did order . Won't return

we went there for a meal we just wanted to chill and relax after a day at work staff were a bit slow at taking our order so a bit of a wait there and we waited a while for them to come as well we had orderded our drinks by this time we were thinking of getting up and walking out anyway one girl came over and took our order so we waited a bit more so when the food did come we were dissapointed in the food so we ate it paid our bill and left so i do not have good reviews about it

Where do I start. This was our second visit to this restaurant and the treatment this time round was disgraceful. We booked a table by phone 30 minutes before we arrived and this was the only good service I received by the staff. We arrived, sat at our table, and waited 10 minutes in an empty restaurant for one of the two staff members to come take our order. We then sat and waited with our drinks arriving in a timely fashion. Some 20 minutes later I went to take a sip of my drink and the glass shattered in my hand. It took my friend to go up 2 times before one of the waitresses came to clean up the mess - the waitresses during the two notifications proceeded to take two other table orders before she came to clean the mess. We then waited another 30 minutes for our food and in the end got up and left, completely dissatisfied. Waiting for almost an hour for our food is not acceptable, especially when their take - out section was serving people four times as fast as us.I will not return.

With 5 star hygiene rating from local council this restaurant is well worth a visit. Excellent food and very reasonable prices.
