Proper old fashioned chippy, food cooked fresh in front of you, always friendly staff, and nice to have the option to sit in or takeaway, just note it’s cash only, not an issue but worth noting to take cash with you, fair prices as well.

Dear Sir or Madam I just wanted to express what a wonderful stay I had at your beautiful property on Sunday night!! I felt so welcomed by Lisa and the room was perfect, facing the seafront and was warm and cosy!! Then the spa!! I was shocked how wonderful these facilities are located in your basement!! I’m currently staying with my parents up in the hills as I’ve just moved back from living in Brisbane for 10 years!! I’m finding it extremely cold so the jacuzzi and infrared sauna certainly put some colour back into my cheeks!! Thank you once again for your wonderful hospitality. I hope to stay soon again!! The owner of Rummers has a pattern of fabricating lies, escalating conflicts unnecessarily, and refusing to take any responsibility. His responses to one-star reviews consistently reveal a hostile and vindictive attitude, attacking reviewers with false accusations rather than addressing legitimate concerns. I left a simple one-star review with no details, which he falsely claimed was from someone who never attended. When I disputed this, he updated his response to accuse me of illegal parking—another lie. He escalated further, claiming I was thrown out for "harassing women," and later invented a bizarre story about my “associates” resigning from Rummers? These baseless accusations demonstrate his complete lack of professionalism. This behaviour is not isolated. A quick glance at his responses to other negative reviews shows a disturbing trend of personal attacks, deflection, and dishonesty. Instead of addressing feedback constructively, he doubles down with petty insults and wild accusations. His lack of accountability and integrity is unacceptable and unfit for someone in a customer-facing role.

Booked into this place to spend two nights over 28th & 29th December 2024. The room was small with tatty furniture and minimum cleanliness, dusty with cobwebs, and litter pushed under the bed. The bathroom was a small closet converted. Very small with mouldy sealant. A sink is barely bigger than a water fountain and unsuitable for purpose. The drain in the sink was rusty, and the shower door did not close properly. The Saturday night was a delight. Loud music played until someone set off the fire alarm at 03:00. There were rowdy drunken youths in the street and cars racing up and down the road. When We went out in the morning, there was the distinct smell of cannabis in the arch way. It's not a fit place to stay. Proprietor clearly do not care about their guests, nor can they control or manage their establishment.
