The meals that you can get in wimpy are value for your money fare better than mcdonalds, only draw back no drive through although you can have meals delivered

I am giving this place a 5 stars ⭐️ because of Aubrey, he was a fantastic host.

Went in with high hopes, I heard this was an establishment with history, with reputation, with honor. I ordered my food, and it came 15 mins later, the food my (7) friends ordered came in 10 minute intervals. So all in all it took about 1hr30 for us to get our food. The burger was at least 70% recycled smart water bottle, the fries were cold and had the texture of a plastic ruler, to be fair the moz sticks were bangin. The service was absolutely impeccable, the one waitress began setting down our cutlery individually, and then gave up and chucked the rest on the table. She seemed happy when my friend ordered a wimpy grill though. They seem to be fond of the wimpy grill. It is now 3 hours after eating and 2 of us have thrown up, 2 are battling their stomachs, and the rest are m.i.a. The wimpy may have killed them, I will check now.

Plastic burger and food took aaaages nothing special would have rather gone to kfc. Lack luster customer service

The driver turned up with my milkshake leaking from the bag and offered to go and get another one. He hasn’t returned in nearly double the time it took to place and receive the order. I tried phoning the restaurant and nothing happened, as well as contacting just eat, who were extremely unhelpful.

Food was lovely , waitress was miserable , no smile , very unfriendly. No customer service. Toilets very messy and not cleaned .

Cold food and wrong drink turned up and had all melted so I can only assume the order was made and left on side for delivery person by which time the milkshake had melted and the food was cold - absolutely abysmal and still not refund!

Delicious hamburgers and side dishes. The prices are very fair for the quantity and quality. It's a shame they don't have a franchise in the EU.

Food cold had to ask for the order 3 times and they still cooked it up won't be going back again. Much better a year ago gone down hill very quickly also trued calling order in but after 7 attempts no answer

Waitress incompetent and socially inept provided lacklustre customer service. They added a service charge without our consent and I even asked if there was a service charge, and to that she first pretended to not understand what I was talking about and then denied there being a charge. My friends meal was meant to be 8.25 but was 9.07, see attached photos does not mention a service charge and the items do not add up to the total. This is a shame because I really liked wimpy and after being let down by the incompetent waiter and the service charge without consent Iwon't to be returning

I literally can’t believe what just happened. First customer of the day at 9:32am. I order a sausage, egg and hash brown muffin with an extra hash brown on the side. Order arrived, I get half way down the street to find no extra hash brown in the bag. I go back and wait for the chef to do one fresh. Get home to find that both the hash brown on the muffin and the extra one are quite literally burnt to a crisp…..almost black. The muffin also has tomato sauce when a specifically asked for no sauce. So I go back AGAIN and ask for a refund of the extra hash brown and a fresh muffin without a burnt hash brown or sauce. After first being told I couldn’t have a refund and then being left to sit there for about half an hour with no one helping me whatsoever, the manager gives me a refund and a fresh order. I walk out 1 hour and 25 minutes after I first entered. I get home to find the hash browns YET AGAIN are burnt to a crisp and my muffin again has tomato sauce. Literally brain dead service. No way I will ever return. Such a shame as I loved having a Wimpy nearby.

The food was hot, well cooked and tasty, no surprises, no frills. However, this Wimpy (and this is only my second experience of this type of establishment) scores for customer service. It is small but spotlessly clean. Our waitress was a revelation, polite, helpful and with the ability to make the customer feel valued. It is a great pity that in this country, we still don’t seem to recognise the impact that good service has on a meal, whatever the establishment. Jonno says...Molly in a Wimpy is a rare event and she was fascinated by a first glimpse of a ‘bendy sausage’. We needed a quick lunch and this delivered.

Good friendly welcome and swift service. Nice seating and general atmosphere. Food was quick and hot with good choice. Would recommend.

It's been year's since I've visited a Wimpy, I'd forgotten what a great burger place it was

Restaurant was clean and tidy. Food is fairly priced for this area. Food was clearly freshly cooked and was served hot. Staff were friendly. I’d come here again. The “brown derby” is a thing of beauty!

we have to television on we have the radio on how much bloody noise standards are dropping so my peaceful lunch spoilt, and to top it off bloody burnt me Frankfurter

The burger was delicious, the chips weren’t cook for my taste, the ice cream had melted and the chocolate milk shake tasted like vanilla so didn’t drink , good job I wasn’t allergic

Good to have a dinner that uses proper plates and cutlery.

food was okay. server behind the till/taking orders clearly didn’t want to be there. had a few issues on the burger size and the amount of onion rings she put through. she never asked about how much we wanted. just barely mumbled. she went out for a cigarette after putting the onion rings through. waited a while for them. the cook who came to the till when she went on break / to eat was very pleasant. would much rather be served by him who was cheerful then the younger girl who was miserable. 2stars because the guy at the end was much nicer. the girl just made eating there awkward and uncomfortable.

Bought for nostalgia purposes. Overpriced basic cheap tasting burger arrived Luke warm, certainly not the wimpy I remember, I won’t be buying again. McDonald’s or Burger King is far better quality and cheaper!

I'm not often in this area and popped in because I haven't had a Wimpy in years and used to love them. I had the original burger, fries and a coffee. Everything was great and the sauce tasted exactly how I remembered it. The food was hot and tasty. The young lady who served me was extremely pleasant.

It was a nostalgic experience. I wasn't aware that Wimpy's still existed. I had a burger with a "bender" on top. First time in 40 years. Staff warm and welcoming. Definitely recommend.

I'm allergic to ketchup. Asked them not to put it on but was ignored so went in bin. This is the second time

Well im disapointed. The burger didnt look or taste any thing like.tje original burger. The price is shocking and also messed up the order. Waited 45 mins. Very disappointed. Never again.

Raw pink burger, no cutlery, kitchen staff using bare hands to put chips onto plates, slow service, meals arrived at different times, no manager available to complain to. Avoid!

Order was wrong did not get 1 item

The prices for the food was ridiculously expensive and very small that is not worth the money for it as I was expecting big portion for the price. The regular chips of £3.25 and you get very small amount of it - I’ll say you are stealing your customers money by ripping them off! McDonald’s portion are much more better than here, for the price and worth valuable for the portion size. The wraps didn’t had much filling in it and very disappointed. Will not be ordering again!

the driver tried to deliver it across the road my husband shouted to tell her where we were she left the food outside downstairs flat when i stated we were upstairs the food was cold and after paying that amount we expected it to be hot

Order was completely incorrect ordered a bean burger got a bacon burger absolutely mortified.

Only a small complaint. Paid for coleslaw. When it arrived the guy on the bike handed me the bag and started to ride off. I asked if the coleslaw was in the bag and he said ' I don't know, I just got handed the bag, it should be '. It wasn't... again, only 1.65 but not the point. Just spend £30 on 3 burgers and chips and the least they could do was give me my coleslaw 😄

Badly run, poor customer service.... Wimpy used to be great but now run by very young not experienced staff... Food wasn't up to expectations and overall I think one star was being generous.... I'm not going to blame staff... I think you need better training and show the staff what is expected so they can give customers a 5⭐ service... I wouldn't return but felt the need to review... so you raise your standards.

Genuinely horrified by the customer service from the manager Jay " im not houdini, what do you want me to do?" We ordered from just eat. When it arrived the driver said that the ice cream machine wasn't working so we didn't have ice cream for the kids meal. We then realised that we were missing onion rings. I called the restaurant and told them and said that because we had paid we should have got a substitute for the missing ice cream. He said that because its a bundle it didn't matter that it was missing and that he couldn't substitute it. He then said that the deal for the free onion rings had finished on the 2nd but it was still on just eat. I said it was false advertisement and would have ordered something different if I'd known that I wouldn't have got what I ordered. I asked for a partial refund on the missing items. He said That he couldn't refund anything because it was part of a deal. I then went on to have a 10 minute debate with him that I hadn't got what I'd paid for and it was false advertisement. He then said well ive apologised, im not houdini what do you want me to do?. I told him that this was the first time that he "apologised" and it certainly wasn't any kind of apology. I asked to speak to the manager and he said he was the manager and to call back tomorrow to speak to a different manager. Absolutely shocked and appalled at the customer service from this place. Have never been spoken to the way that he spoke to me.

Not a bad venue, patrons seemed lovely but the person serving us didn't seem very happy to be serving a disabled child. It was a bit uncomfortable there...

This was quite frankly one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had! Me and my wife ordered the £6.49 promo meal. My autistic friend ordered a double cheeseburger meal, which was exactly the same as mine and my wife’s meal, albeit £4 more expensive. When it came to paying I challenged this, and argued that the meal was identical. However, he wouldn’t do the decent thing and charge me for a promo meal instead. Just a mumbled apology. The service was pretty poor, just didn’t get that the person we were with was autistic, even though it was pretty obvious. The burgers did not resemble quarter pounders at all, more like a frozen pattie burger! The actual place was clean, and resembled an American diner style experience, but such a shame the staff and food don’t add to the experience. Won’t be going to wimpy ever again, So many better establishments then this.

Although food was delivered on time as shown, the order was missing items ( in this case I ordered 2 children’s meals which should of had ice cream sundaes - these were both missing without notice). There seems to be no way to contact the restaurant through the app to advise of this. Nothing worst than disappointed 4 and 6 year olds at the start of the half term holiday.

Service good with a smile and food really good.

In a world where we now have so much choice I’m surprised this restaurant is still going. The service was terrible, and the food was rank. The double cheeseburger was the texture of a sausage McMuffin and tasted like it had been sat there for days. Stale, hard and no flavour whatsoever. They promote the fact they’re cheap, but the taste should still be at least average. This was awful, will never go back.

Terrible. The driver delivered the wrong food, wimpy said nothing they can do and to call just eat and they will re-order it, just eat took 20 minutes to answer an online chat service as they have no number and then another 20 minutes 'looking into it' to then tell me they will cancel my order and they will not resend a new order and then said it will take 20 minutes to refund my £50 order (dinner for 3 people) no sorry, no offer of kind gesture. Then recieved an email straight after saying that it will take 3-5 days for my refund. So 2 hours later we have no food, hungry and they've taken my money and no apology..disraceful service !!! Try adding never got my food to your list of 'your food was delivered' because it wasn't !
