Wimpy in Rushmoor

3rd time we've been since it appears the previous owner who lived part time in the US departed-big loss. Now faced with some pretty stand off characters who dont seem to give a toss. One of the servers can barely speak English. To top off our trip my wife got ripped off at the till to the tune of £5.40. This is the 2nd time in a row this has happened and is the last time we will be going. When i confronted the restaurant with our findings over the phone they argued about what he had had ! but heh if i drive 12 miles back there they will see what they can do. If that's Wimpy customer service then you can stick it where the sun doesnt shine ! Food is not great anymore to be honest and is way overpriced, so to be overcharged as well has just done it for us-plenty of other Restaurants to choose from

Popped into Farnborough for a quick few items ....noticed a Wimpy which I have'nt visited for more then 30 years. Service was quick burger and a tea cake cooked to perfection. The restaurant is super clean with spotless floors and tables compared to a MuckDonalds...table service was absolutely perfect with no hovering about which I hate. Will return in the near future and prices very reasonable. Certainly took me back to the 60's / 70's. Rather have a Wimpy over a MuckDonalds any day. 5 stars *****

The food was ok, bacon was lovely. When I paid they gave me a Christmas card and a chocolate!!!! Excellent customer service, quite literally the best I have ever seen in my life. Go here if you want comfort food and the best service in Britain

Friendly and polite waiting staff but unfortunately the food is awful and pretty expensive for what it is ! First and last time trying wimpy , even my son commented on how horrible is food was.

Me and my Nan went out to lunch at Wimpy in Farnborough. When we arrived, we were greeted well, and we took our seats. Our order was taken and within five minutes, the food and drinks arrived. I’d recommend the simply griddled chicken burger, it’s the best burger I’ve ever had!!! Not an understatement. The pudding was great too. I’d recommend to anybody needing lunch in Farnborough. Also, as a sidenote: as a member of the autistic community, Wimpy had a comfortable and pleasant atmosphere. I didn’t feel stressed at all.

My personal experience of wimpy wasn't great I found that they are very over priced for the food you get, you could get a similar burger from McDonald's and over half the price. The staff want very helpful when it came to changing my sons meal and I just think for the price we paid we could have gone some where alot better. Their milkshakes are good though that's the main thing I enjoyed.

Drinks nice, good location, clean but food was very average and meat tasted a little off (I’m not saying that there was anything wrong with it just tasted a bit weird). Service was good but lots of wasps around

I really hope you find some good inspirational senior management to support the staff. WIMPY is vital to the UK let’s protect it. The food is ok it just needs a little more love and passion for its staff and customers

Good, friendly service and delicious food, an underated eatery. This restaurant has been in Farnborough for many years and is popular.

This was a great place to come was served food that was somehow burnt cold and soggy at the same time wasn’t busy I think they must have had food waiting a long time on a heat lamp.

So we ordered the Wimpy to be delivered to us through their website, and it arrived quickly and food was very tasty. Only downside I would report is that the chips are quite soggy when they get to us, not to the point of them being inedible but they are slightly soggy, therefore the four star review. They do have the best burgers I have tasted though from a takeaway place that delivers!

The burger was soggy,the lettice was black.It was terrible.Normally I won't eat here but we were in a rush so went in.Worst burger i have ever eaten.

An uncommon sight back in the 80s, the Wimpy restaurant is now something of a scarcity. I am fortunate enough to have 2 within 15 miles of me - Marlow and Farnborough. I have been to both on numerous occasions and you would think the food would be identical, yet Farnborough always comes a poor second. Yet the restaurant is clean, the staff are pleasant, but it just doesn't taste like I remember Wimpy as a kid (I am now in my mid 40s!). Whereas for some reason, I know they are all franchised these days, but the food from Marlow tastes just like I expect it to... A poor relation to it's Buckinghamshire compatriot.

I went to get a milkshake one time it was 4 pound altogether I gave 10 pound and I didn't get the right change the meals are delicious and sometimes the drinks are a bit icky

Brought 12 people for daughters birthday . Two places were put on a separate table behind a pillar , I had to adjust it with no help,moving chairs etc. Staff were lacklustre and disinterested. Many times I asked for help with a spilled drink or to clear tables only to be completely ignored. Was told they were short staffed. Not my problem ! Ice cream took forever to come out and then they had the cheek to rush us at the end as they needed the table!,Never again!

Food is of a good standard and the menu concise. Staff are friendly and efficient. Ideal for those of us who like to sit down to a quick snack without the retro background of the Big Mac era

Very clean inside and the food was fresh. The staff was very attentive and nice. Excellent quick lunch spot for a good value.

It's basically burger and chips with a few options on the menu such as all-day breakfasts and onion rings, but being aimed at sit-down customers it is a bit more refined than other burger establishments. The staff are always friendly and welcoming.

Over £10 for burger, chips and a small coke. The chips were quite tasty but rhe burger meat was economy at best. Over priced chuck wagon at very best.

Terrible place. The staff struggle to speak English and we had to keep asking the waiter to repeat himself as we just could not understand what he was saying. When the food arrived my burger was cold. When we told the waiter and said he should tell the chef, he just muttered sorry and walked off and started serving someone else. We told another person, who appeared to be the person in charge and he said that the burger was cold because of the salad in it!!!!!!! A lettuce leaf and a thin slice of tomato should not make the burger cold! Unbelievable - and just plain stupid. It wasn't worth trying to get through to these people so we just paid and left! We won't be going again.

The restaurant itself was fine, however, they had a strange idea about serving food and drinks. My drink came promptly, followed by the side order!?! My meal arrived after we'd finished our onion rings. A few minutes after this my husband's meal arrived. Finally sometime through the meal, my husband's smoothie appeared. It was all very strange and disjointed.The food itself was average and although my husband said his meal was 'all right', I did not really enjoy mine.

It has been a great meal out for kids and family.. new decor and family atmosphere, value for money food and excellent customer service from friendly staff. A great evening out after shopping in town. Recommend everyone

my friend said lets pop into Wimpy how bad can it be...having not been in a Wimpy for over 20 years..i now know why...it was a Joke...i had to ask the staff if we were being filmed for you have been framed...three times they brought the wrong food, then left what they brought on the side untill some one else ordered similar and served them what had been left.
