nothing about italian in this place, i ordered a calabresse pizza and was horribly, paid 52£ for tow pizza and a bruschetta witch locked awful

Have previously had really nice food at Wildwood, and I think it’s important to say that. Unfortunately, the visit today was awful. I wouldn’t say the restaurant was particularly busy, about usual for a Sunday. Got seated at a table of our choice so clearly not that busy. The two waitresses that served us (apologies, didn’t get names) were friendly and took our food and drinks order quick. Ordered a medium rare steak, it was gristly, fatty, and tasteless. It wasn’t medium rare, but if it tasted nice I’d have been fine with it. It was also cold, and I suspect left waiting to be served for a while. It was disgusting, and really put me off. Had to wait for the fries I ordered for ages. If I had wanted to eat the steak, I’d have finished that before the fries came. The rocket that comes with it was bitter. Chips were fine, and actually hot, but didn’t make up for it. My mate had peri-peri pasta and said it was OK, but neither of us were offered sauces or Parmesan. We also had to wait for cutlery for ages. I will say, I don’t blame the waitress that was serving us, she was apologetic and nice, but it seemed that they were perhaps understaffed. As I said, it didn’t seem overly busy though. The manager did apologise profusely and was decent about it, sorting our bill out as well, so I do appreciate that but it has put me off Wildwood now.

We booked a table for 7pm, showed up at 6.55pm and entered a queue running out of the door, forced to stand outside in the cold for over half an hour until we were finally seated at 7.35pm, no apology and we were seated on a makeshift table dragged into the middle of the restaurant to try and accommodate for how busy it was. Out of interest we looked on their online booking system and it was still showing green availability despite them clearly being massively understaffed and overbooked. Don't ask people to make a reservation and show up on time if you're not going to respect their time. Most people in the queue outside ended up leaving and going elsewhere for food, wish we did the same as the meal wasn't good at all and we had to wait almost 30 minutes after finishing our meal for someone to finally come to our table and take payment, tried flagging a waitress down but there were only two available despite the restaurant being completely full.

Food was good, service was slow despite there not being many there when we got there. Also meals were delivered over a 10minute period instead of together.

I enjoyed myself there, however, it was not a game-changer for me.

This morning, I was on the hunt for a good breakfast spot and ended up at Wildwood and I’m so glad I did! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm smile and a genuinely joyful atmosphere. I fancied sitting outside, and they happily seated me at a lovely table overlooking the lake such a peaceful, scenic start to the day. The service was absolutely outstanding. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, and the whole team seemed to work together seamlessly. As for the food just wow. I went for the full English breakfast and it was delicious; everything was cooked to perfection and full of flavor. And a massive Thank you to The Team made my morning 😂 It’s safe to say I’ll definitely be back, and next time I’m bringing friends and family along too. Highly recommend!

Love the lighter option menu where you can have half pizza and salad or smaller size pasta and salad. Great gluten free, vegie and vegan options. They have gluten free pasta and pizza so plenty of choice for dietary requirements.

Abysmal, honestly the worst restaurant I've been too for a while. The food was mediocre yet so expensive. Comparing to Pizza Express/ GBK /Nandos and Prezzo the food was seriously poor. The calamari was so chewy (felt like it wasn't fresh) and the amount/size was just lacklustre. We were a group booking with some kids meals and some adult meals. We had varied meals, like penne arrabiata, beef burger, butterfly sea-bass, and so on. I can vouch the beef burger and penne arrabiata were substandard, just literally no real flavouring and again the pasta felt chewy (i.e undercooked). I could go on about the food, but let's take this as a subjective opinion. The worst thing was when we asked for some tap water and cups. Not only did they give us wine glasses as opposed to actual cups for the water, but the kids cups they gave us, had dirt, mould and just were very dirty inside. If it wasn't for my daughter informing me it would of been very bad, when I showed them the waitress just said 'sorry' and that's it. What an absolute joke. Then, when naturally our order was missing a few side orders the eastern european lady who came to serve us (she was like a waitress/manager/frontline type person) didn't apologise, just an aggressive tone and saying 'so you wanted an additional x y z' it's not additional if we ordered it as part of the original order. We checked the order 3 times with the other waitress. There was only one competent waitress, who was mainly at the side til, and she was pleasant and friendly, the rest either were rude and just poor at communicating positively or just inexperienced. The atmosphere is good, buzzing, but I can't believe what people pay for what type of service and food you get here, it's so poor, and definitely not the money. You might as well go chicken rush or Greggs for a better quality meal (altho ew to those two places :D) I can't recommend any dish, because all the food cooked was just substandard.

Popped in for lunch, had a great meal, the food was awesome, and the staff welcoming, the pizza actually tasted authentic, beautiful flavors.

Had the burger, was med well and was lovely

Absolutely gutted was surprised for a meal by my husband for Mothers Sunday with my one year old and 7 year old. On arrival we was seated quickly and drinks asked for. Then it started. The wait to be asked for food was around 45 minutes. I had to find someone to take my order due to my children getting restless. She offered free drinks for the kind gesture of waiting. Food came, Luke warm. Upgraded fries where missed off the order however at this point I couldn’t be asked to Complain due to just be happy that my kids were finally fed. Another 40 minutes past nobody grabbed our plates or asked for dessert. Again we found someone she just gave us the menu. Another 20 minutes passed still nobody to take order. Plates still on table. I get it’s Mother’s Day however I’m heartbroken I finally get taken out and this is my experience. Wish I just stayed in and cooked. We got offered 50% discount however I just want to pre warn people and not waste there money here especially in special occasions. I felt invisible on Motherd day. I just hope nobody felt how I did.

I enjoyed a lovely meal at this place! The food was top-notch, especially the Peri-peri Chicken Penne and Penne Arrabbiata – both packed with flavour. The team was fantastic, greeting us warmly and checking in throughout the meal; their service really stood out. The only downside was the prices, which I felt could be a bit lower for better value. Overall, a great spot I’d recommend with just a small tweak on pricing!

Decent lunch deal and very tasty

We had a wonderful experience at Wildwood for my daughter's birthday. The food was delicious and loads of it. The service was great too, and the food came out quickly but not so much that we ever felt rushed. They made a big fuss over my daughter because of her birthday, and our entire family really enjoyed the evening. The cocktails were gorgeous, too!

Loved it here, the staff was great with my intolerance and the chefs dish was a 10 out of 10.

The calamari were tasteless, very thin and greasy. The same for the breaded chicken burger, although I didn't even try it, it was swimming in oil, the breadcrumbs were burnt. Both calamari and chicken seemed like they had been fried in oil that hadn't been changed for quite some time. The good thing is that they accepted to remove the chicken burger from my bill.👍🏼 Then I would like to point out a little detail, as I got so excited when I saw the name on the menu, until I saw the ingredients... why would you call it pizza tartiflette a pizza that has camember if the essence of a tartiflette is the Roblochon?? Truffle and cheese fries, the ones on the top were good, when I got to the bottom, the same problem with the oil, they were all wet, resting on a pool of oil. The diet coke was good though.

Second time here after a bad experience. Reviewed and was asked to come back for a second chance. I was pleasantly surprised as my pizza was good. I tried all the food that came.. chicken burger was nice with seasoning. The Bolognaise needed reducing as it was watery. Staff were slammed with tables and did a good job and were polite and friendly. Thank you for the invite again. Well done staff..

Lovely place and delicious food

I had the best meal! The Tuscan sausage ragu and Traditional Bolognese were absolutely delicious—just bursting with flavour. The service was spot on, from the warm greeting to the friendly farewell. Everything was clean and the atmosphere was perfect for a relaxed dinner. Honestly, I couldn't fault a thing; it was brilliant all around!

The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Being Valentine’s Day, they were very busy, but handled the evening like professionals! The food was great, staff amazing and the visit made very special! Check them out on your next visit to Rushden Lakes!

Regular visitor, happy as always

We were served by the manager Tahmin who gave us some delicious food recommendations such as the chicken Milanese dish which I never would have chosen without her. She was extremely attentative and super friendly! I highly recommend any families coming here or couples coming for a date night as the staff were lovely and warm. I would highly recommend the pizza! The changing room facilities are super clean making it a pleasant experience changing my two babies. Such a great dinner experience here. Will definitely be coming back here again with more of my friends and family.

Unfortunate experience here to be honest, place was fairly busy but not rammed and they have a pretty small kitchen. We booked in for 6:45, sat, ordered drinks, all going well... they brought out the starters along with the bread and oil (usually, if you're ordering bread and oil you want that straight away while you wait for starters) but that was okay, however they made a mistake with the starters and brought us 2 of the prawns and not the fishcakes as we had ordered. They rectified this to be fair, but none of the fishcakes had a poached egg on them! If you don't have ingredients, then say before people order not afterwards! The biggest disappointment though, was the wait of around 50 minutes between starters and main, and then the fact that the seafood linguine really didn't taste all that fresh. The shell on prawn (yes, singular) was grainy and the muscles were not firm as I would expect with fresh shellfish. It lacked seasoning and was all round just average at best - certainly not worth the 400+ bill we had for 9 people without desserts. Shame, was really looking forward to it, but a real let down. We left around 9:20pm to give you an idea how long we were there! Waiting staff were good as a plus, so thank you for that - but don't think I'll come again. Would advise to go elsewhere - lounge next door maybe a better choice for most.

From start to finish this was a very bad experience, apparently we were served by a manager!! Well the service was abysmal. There was probably only ten people in the whole place but people was squashed together, god knows why. When asked about drinks literally as we sat down we was then pestered until we chose. The food actually was very nice, we had the classic burger with fries. However, when the wine arrived the glasses was dumped on the edge of the table, at arm’s length like we had covid! We asked for vinegar and the ‘manager’ came back with two sachets which she threw on the table as she walked past, one almost going off the other side! Although the burger tasted nice it had obviously been cooked before the fries so was warm at best. Then it came to paying the bill I went to the station and was presented with’ you better check that’ as it was presented! Well I presented a card to the contactless machine which stated card read and then a load of numbers and letters. The manager said it had not gone through and I ask for the receipt, I recognise this happens sometimes, but Tur manager the machines not working properly so there was not a receipt! She tried again, and again it said card read but no receipt, the manager very I politely stated the till said so likely not paid! Likely? Anyway with a rude response from the manager they fetched another machine which worked. I now await my credit card statement to see how many times I had paid. We told the manager and staff how we felt and how rude they have been, and in a sarcastic way the reply was, well glad you leaving have a nice day, sarcastically. I expect a refund for the service charge at least but if managers behave like this god help the staff. Do not eat at this establishment

I popped in for a meal, and I was seriously impressed! The food was absolutely top-notch, especially the rib-eye steak and Margherita pizza – both were cooked to perfection. The service was fantastic; the staff greeted me warmly and checked in on me throughout my meal, which made the experience even better. Plus, the place was spotless and had a great atmosphere. I can’t wait to come back and try more dishes from the menu!

Been here 3 times and each time it’s been pleasant. We had a garlic bread and olives to start, then I had steak my partner has carbonara and it was all tasty and cooked exactly how we asked. We had a bottle of wine also and it was less than £60 per head, which considering the service and food it’s a fair price. Very consistent and we will be revisiting!

I had dirty cutlery! Disgusting!! I’ve been a few times, each time had different food and to be honest it’s all been average at the very best. Some of the dishes were just disgusting, very cheap on the more expensive ingredients, chicken etc. The service and staff have all been OK pleasant enough, but they give you a service charge automatically, they don’t give you a choice to take it off! Drinks are also extortionate

Avoid at all costs. Giving 1 star because you can’t give 0. Way overpriced, over an hour wait after ordering and the kitchen staff (not chefs) does not have a clue what food should taste like. Better options anywhere else really.

We love visiting Wildwood whether it’s an evening out for two or a family celebration. the menu contains tasty dishes to suit all moods and the atmosphere is great.

Absolutely tasteless food. Fish cakes were cold in the middle and the Salad Nicoise tasted of nothing . Whilst the Serving staff were nice they are all extremely young and clearly poorly trained. They didn’t know the menu and were unable to answer our questions about the food. The restaurant also adds a 10% service charge to the bill which the waiting staff told us doesn’t get given to the more junior waiting staff - only those who have been there for a while (so we removed it off the bill). Overall, a pretty miserable experience.

It was pretty quiet when we went in on Saturday lunchtime. We were seated quickly & our order was taken swiftly. The food arrived after not too much of a wait, hot & cooked well. Once we finished eating our mains, we noticed it was a lot busier than when we arrived. There was a long delay clearing our table. In fact, it was only cleared after my husband sought out a desert menu. Upon choosing our desserts, my husband had to seek out a waitress to place our order with. The food was great, the service, not so much!

Went to this restaurant yesterday and although the restaurant had a number of empty tables, was told they were unable to give us a table because the kitchen was backed up. Went to Pizza Express next door - much better service and food!

Pizza with courgette and goat's cheese was so fresh and tasty. The place is pleasant, kindly staff. Good to pop in for a good meal.

Waited over an hour for a lasagna and burger. Disgusting service honestly. They totally forgot about us. And forgot our order.

Very over priced for the small amount of food you actually get, £4 a drink, to be upfront, the pasta dishes are low in volume and you had to look very hard to find 5 bits of tiny chicken bits in it, the whole dish would have cost no more than £1.50p to throw together, the chicken burger was basically what you would expect from PopEyes, very greasy, a £5 burger at tops, we both left hungry and had the pleasure & embarrassment of being tucked up £4 for the service charge without having the opportunity to not pay it discreetly, it’s almost as if your being embarrassed to pay it “we’ve added on the service charge, are you happy to pay it” in a loud voice .so £40 down, 2 hungry and disappointed people, at Nando’s you get a refillable glass for £4, bread roll’s and butter, the view of the lake was nice and the food was delivered with 5 mins of ordering,

Have been here twice within the last month both times the food has been underwhelming, missing key constituents. With every issue we've had we have had an apology and a promptly supplied solution/alternative, I had a seafood risotto which comes (or didn't!) with king prawn on top, there was no mention when it was deleiverd that they had no king prawns left. Have had the seafood risotto and the linguine on both occasions the baseline chilli has dominated the flavour overpowering the seafood. We went for the tuna steak salad, the salad element was fine, however the tuna steak was thin washed out and cooked(spoiled) to crunchy, tuna steak should be like your beef steak, Son had a burger that was good, from what I have seen burgers and pizza are the limit of the kitchens capability. Location is wonderful if you can sit outside looking at the lake on a warm evening, staff keen and willing if a little reticent to point out problems (lack of menu items-parts of dish missing) May try again on a nice evening but will stick to pizza and burgers

The atmosphere is nice, and the staff is very friendly. There was barely any wait when I went on a Saturday and everything was served fast. I very much enjoyed the food, particularly the zucchini fries and the pizza. The dough was nice and the tomato sauce really elevated the experience for me as it was super tasty. The lasagna are a little bland compared to other places I’ve been, but they’re still pretty good, with a nice amount of béchamel and cheese. The portion sizes are also great.

Admittedly we were a very large party, however the service was extremely slow and chaotic. After waiting ages for each course the food was terrible and made me feel extremely unwell. Overpriced and not worth the wait. I would recommend any other of the restaurants at Rushden lakes instead.

Was a bit skeptical when I had an email offering me an early birthday treat of free prosecco and a brownie. Went along to the Rushden lakes restaurant and found the prosecco was a full bottle @£29 and brownie listed @£7. Had a great meal and they even wrote happy birthday in chocolate sauce across the brownie!. It did feel a bit special and I would recommend anyone to sign up and enjoy a meal there. The Philly steak pizza is recommended!.

Salad was old, lettuce was brown and we both had stomachache after eating there!

Attended for Daughters exam results celebration. Had the Calamari to start at £9.75 which I thought was a little pricey, and when it arrived, this was thoroughly disappointing. Only a few small pieces of baby squid that was greasy and very chewy. Massively overpriced and very low quality. 2 others had the same and we're also disappointed. Next I had an artisan pizza and this again was very poor. Very little topping and over use of rocket to cover the lack of actual toppings. Only to members of our party were happy with their main dish the Pasta and Mushroom. Total price of meal for 6 was £256 and I would have felt robbed if it had cost 50% of that. Overall food is awful and so overpriced for the lack of talent in the kitchen. Felt very much like food is simply reheated in the back rather than cooked fresh. Will not be going back.

A good choice for an evening meal with family.

Wildwood has a nice ambience with internal and external seating. The food was very good but could have been hotter. The staff were excellent and both friendly and helpful. What was annoying was a couple of flies liked our indoor table, so swatting and eating at the same time is undesirable. Otherwise, we enjoyed it & would recommend this restaurant.

Terrible experience- I waited over an hour for my main dish to arrive. Either they were short of chefs or incompetent. I was fuming and so tempted to leave without eating my main or paying.

I went there with my husband and 3 kids on the weekend. The food and drinks were delicious!!! I have to admit it was the best restaurant experience we’ve ever had . Many thanks to the restaurant manager! he did everything to make our kids smile and have a good time.We will definitely come back to this place again!

i ordered through deliveroo a gluten free pizza and fries, the pizza was not gluten free and i had a reaction to it and had to call up deliveroo to request a refund .

when we arrived, there were only a few people dining. several people came in after us and were served food before we'd even had our order taken. Waited for 15 minutes to get served. then waited over 45 minutes for food. There were only two of us.

Found at rushden lakes. Free parking for up to 5 hours. Wheelchair access available. Inside and outside seating area. Outside has a view over the lake and faces west, so you can view the sunset. Inside has air conditioning. We were seated quickly. The tables arnt close together and the ceiling is high giving the element of space. The menu is varied giving lots of choice. Service was fast and efficient, and the servers were smiling despite the heat at the time. My only criticism would be that the house keeping needs attention. Alot of the tables were dirty on arrival, and outside was broken glass all over the floor. However, I'd still visit again as it was a pleasant experience.

This wasn’t the first time I have visited wildwood restaurant and it certainly won’t be the last! Fantastic menu and I will gladly work my way through the entirety of it🤗 Extremely welcoming on arrival and seated very quickly…the staff cannot do anymore to make the dining experience a better one and the atmosphere is clearly a happy one as the staff are Allways smiling and cheery and attentive and solid management to boot! A group of 5 adults popped in to the rushden lakes restaurant yesterday afternoon. Seated at a dirty table and then ignored. No one offered us drinks or took out order. Restaurant was very quiet. We asked a girl if someone could serve us and she just started cleaning the table next to us. We decided we are not gonna spend money in a place that does not want to serve us. When walking out there was 2 staff members just standing around. We told them we are leaving due to no service. The girl was sarcastic and unprofessional. Would not go again, and not recommend for the price

We had a late lunch here after the cinema and the experience was not good. The food was mediocre, and the service was slow despite it not being busy. People who came in after us got their order taken before us. The cost for the food and service received was high, and honestly, we will not return as there is better literally next door.

Food is nothing special, too pricey

They were short staffed on a Monday, it was steady and the two of the waiters coped really well. The food was so so so good! Much better than the last 2 times that we have been. We will most definitely come back!

….after working all day, showering and going to Wildwood, Rushden Lakes because I’d never been but meant to….waited to get acknowledged and after a while was told that there wasn’t enough staff to seat us or take our order so went to Pizza Express instead. Don’t suppose I’ll bother giving them another chance

I recently dined earlier this week where Kyra, our young waitress, made our experience unforgettable. I explained how we had not been attended to and been forgotten by what seemed to be our assigned waitress and her bubbly charm and understanding won us over and added warmth to our meal. She was attentive to my daughters, ensuring they felt special. Kyra suggested dishes and engaged us with her friendly conversation, making the evening even more delightful. Her relaxed serving style was welcoming and her exceptional service truly made our night memorable , rectifying the mediocre experience we had in the restaurant.

My meal Seafood linguine for lunch, very oily. 1 muscle unopened, enedable. Only 2 prawns in dish. Grandson meal spaghetti bolognese also very oily. Not enjoyable. Have eaten here before and food was lovely . Disappointed today.

Wow, what can I say! Kind, caring and attentive. Ethan always made sure I was taken care of throughout my food journey which made me feel verry special. I can't wait to come back. Fingers crossed I get Ethan again 🤞

I visited with my friend and our two small babies, we were welcomed and assured it was absolutely fine as it is a family restaurant which I really appreciated. Food was a little pricy but nice. I had the philly cheesesteak sandwich which was delicious. Good baby changing facilities

I hate leaving anything but positive reviews, but sadly felt the need to on this occasion. The most positive thing about this restaurant was the friendly barman, who politely greeted us, showed us to our table, then went for something to wipe our wet seats for us (outside). Unfortunately, the food was below par. Maybe it was the choices we made on this occasion, but I wouldn’t advise the calamari - it won’t be as you’d expect, in fact, it was the worst we’d ever eaten - tiny little end pieces and tentacles (if that’s all that’s left, then best not to serve it). A tuna steak that was overcooked, rubbery and very dry - and a burger that was tasteless and devoid of any seasoning (how do you screw a burger up?). Sorry, but won’t be coming back.

It was ok. Loud music so encourages people to talk loud so didn't find the atmosphere so relaxed. Lady who took order seemed a bit tense and impatient. Another blanked me when I asked for the bill. Other staff seemed nice so mixed experience. I had the chicken picata milanese. The food was good although sauce was underwhelming. Reasonable value for what it is. Preferred Zizis but if you like a noisy environment this is ok.

I went here for the first time with family and liked it. I ordered vegan lasagna, and it was very tasty, nice not to have aubergine, which I hate. The other family members had salmon fishcake, pizza piccante, and bolognese. Four drinks and two starters ordered. Very friendly staff.

Well. I will split this in parts: The people working there are amazing and very kind. They were very attentive and helpful. We were waiting a lot for the food (+30min) and we expected it to be a bit more flavourful than it was (luckily we had spicy oil on the table). I don't recommend calamari as there were almost no calamari in the plate. The price is quite expensive for the food we had, I don't know if it is because of the lake or the commercial area but omg, that was expensive. We were sited just next to the door, which, at the beginning was ok, but I ended up quite cold after 10 min❄️🥶❄️.

A very warm welcome from Bobby, that instantly puts you at ease. Set in fantastic surroundings with excellent service and very tasty food. Will definitely be coming back again !
