Great place for a hite to eat, service was really good for us all, looked out for the kids and there needs

Absolutely tasteless food. Fish cakes were cold in the middle and the Salad Nicoise tasted of nothing . Whilst the Serving staff were nice they are all extremely young and clearly poorly trained. They didn’t know the menu and were unable to answer our questions about the food. The restaurant also adds a 10% service charge to the bill which the waiting staff told us doesn’t get given to the more junior waiting staff - only those who have been there for a while (so we removed it off the bill). Overall, a pretty miserable experience.

It was pretty quiet when we went in on Saturday lunchtime. We were seated quickly & our order was taken swiftly. The food arrived after not too much of a wait, hot & cooked well. Once we finished eating our mains, we noticed it was a lot busier than when we arrived. There was a long delay clearing our table. In fact, it was only cleared after my husband sought out a desert menu. Upon choosing our desserts, my husband had to seek out a waitress to place our order with. The food was great, the service, not so much!

Went to this restaurant yesterday and although the restaurant had a number of empty tables, was told they were unable to give us a table because the kitchen was backed up. Went to Pizza Express next door - much better service and food!

Pizza with courgette and goat's cheese was so fresh and tasty. The place is pleasant, kindly staff. Good to pop in for a good meal.

Waited over an hour for a lasagna and burger. Disgusting service honestly. They totally forgot about us. And forgot our order.

Very over priced for the small amount of food you actually get, £4 a drink, to be upfront, the pasta dishes are low in volume and you had to look very hard to find 5 bits of tiny chicken bits in it, the whole dish would have cost no more than £1.50p to throw together, the chicken burger was basically what you would expect from PopEyes, very greasy, a £5 burger at tops, we both left hungry and had the pleasure & embarrassment of being tucked up £4 for the service charge without having the opportunity to not pay it discreetly, it’s almost as if your being embarrassed to pay it “we’ve added on the service charge, are you happy to pay it” in a loud voice .so £40 down, 2 hungry and disappointed people, at Nando’s you get a refillable glass for £4, bread roll’s and butter, the view of the lake was nice and the food was delivered with 5 mins of ordering,

Have been here twice within the last month both times the food has been underwhelming, missing key constituents. With every issue we've had we have had an apology and a promptly supplied solution/alternative, I had a seafood risotto which comes (or didn't!) with king prawn on top, there was no mention when it was deleiverd that they had no king prawns left. Have had the seafood risotto and the linguine on both occasions the baseline chilli has dominated the flavour overpowering the seafood. We went for the tuna steak salad, the salad element was fine, however the tuna steak was thin washed out and cooked(spoiled) to crunchy, tuna steak should be like your beef steak, Son had a burger that was good, from what I have seen burgers and pizza are the limit of the kitchens capability. Location is wonderful if you can sit outside looking at the lake on a warm evening, staff keen and willing if a little reticent to point out problems (lack of menu items-parts of dish missing) May try again on a nice evening but will stick to pizza and burgers

The atmosphere is nice, and the staff is very friendly. There was barely any wait when I went on a Saturday and everything was served fast. I very much enjoyed the food, particularly the zucchini fries and the pizza. The dough was nice and the tomato sauce really elevated the experience for me as it was super tasty. The lasagna are a little bland compared to other places I’ve been, but they’re still pretty good, with a nice amount of béchamel and cheese. The portion sizes are also great.

First time in this restaurant and loved it the food was really good, staff very helpful and a great atmosphere, will definitely be going back

Admittedly we were a very large party, however the service was extremely slow and chaotic. After waiting ages for each course the food was terrible and made me feel extremely unwell. Overpriced and not worth the wait. I would recommend any other of the restaurants at Rushden lakes instead.

Was a bit skeptical when I had an email offering me an early birthday treat of free prosecco and a brownie. Went along to the Rushden lakes restaurant and found the prosecco was a full bottle @£29 and brownie listed @£7. Had a great meal and they even wrote happy birthday in chocolate sauce across the brownie!. It did feel a bit special and I would recommend anyone to sign up and enjoy a meal there. The Philly steak pizza is recommended!.

Attended for Daughters exam results celebration. Had the Calamari to start at £9.75 which I thought was a little pricey, and when it arrived, this was thoroughly disappointing. Only a few small pieces of baby squid that was greasy and very chewy. Massively overpriced and very low quality. 2 others had the same and we're also disappointed. Next I had an artisan pizza and this again was very poor. Very little topping and over use of rocket to cover the lack of actual toppings. Only to members of our party were happy with their main dish the Pasta and Mushroom. Total price of meal for 6 was £256 and I would have felt robbed if it had cost 50% of that. Overall food is awful and so overpriced for the lack of talent in the kitchen. Felt very much like food is simply reheated in the back rather than cooked fresh. Will not be going back.

Salad was old, lettuce was brown and we both had stomachache after eating there!

A good choice for an evening meal with family.

Wildwood has a nice ambience with internal and external seating. The food was very good but could have been hotter. The staff were excellent and both friendly and helpful. What was annoying was a couple of flies liked our indoor table, so swatting and eating at the same time is undesirable. Otherwise, we enjoyed it & would recommend this restaurant.

Terrible experience- I waited over an hour for my main dish to arrive. Either they were short of chefs or incompetent. I was fuming and so tempted to leave without eating my main or paying.

I went there with my husband and 3 kids on the weekend. The food and drinks were delicious!!! I have to admit it was the best restaurant experience we’ve ever had . Many thanks to the restaurant manager! he did everything to make our kids smile and have a good time.We will definitely come back to this place again!

i ordered through deliveroo a gluten free pizza and fries, the pizza was not gluten free and i had a reaction to it and had to call up deliveroo to request a refund .

when we arrived, there were only a few people dining. several people came in after us and were served food before we'd even had our order taken. Waited for 15 minutes to get served. then waited over 45 minutes for food. There were only two of us.

Found at rushden lakes. Free parking for up to 5 hours. Wheelchair access available. Inside and outside seating area. Outside has a view over the lake and faces west, so you can view the sunset. Inside has air conditioning. We were seated quickly. The tables arnt close together and the ceiling is high giving the element of space. The menu is varied giving lots of choice. Service was fast and efficient, and the servers were smiling despite the heat at the time. My only criticism would be that the house keeping needs attention. Alot of the tables were dirty on arrival, and outside was broken glass all over the floor. However, I'd still visit again as it was a pleasant experience.

This wasn’t the first time I have visited wildwood restaurant and it certainly won’t be the last! Fantastic menu and I will gladly work my way through the entirety of it🤗 Extremely welcoming on arrival and seated very quickly…the staff cannot do anymore to make the dining experience a better one and the atmosphere is clearly a happy one as the staff are Allways smiling and cheery and attentive and solid management to boot! A group of 5 adults popped in to the rushden lakes restaurant yesterday afternoon. Seated at a dirty table and then ignored. No one offered us drinks or took out order. Restaurant was very quiet. We asked a girl if someone could serve us and she just started cleaning the table next to us. We decided we are not gonna spend money in a place that does not want to serve us. When walking out there was 2 staff members just standing around. We told them we are leaving due to no service. The girl was sarcastic and unprofessional. Would not go again, and not recommend for the price

They were short staffed on a Monday, it was steady and the two of the waiters coped really well. The food was so so so good! Much better than the last 2 times that we have been. We will most definitely come back!

Food is nothing special, too pricey

We had a late lunch here after the cinema and the experience was not good. The food was mediocre, and the service was slow despite it not being busy. People who came in after us got their order taken before us. The cost for the food and service received was high, and honestly, we will not return as there is better literally next door.

I recently dined earlier this week where Kyra, our young waitress, made our experience unforgettable. I explained how we had not been attended to and been forgotten by what seemed to be our assigned waitress and her bubbly charm and understanding won us over and added warmth to our meal. She was attentive to my daughters, ensuring they felt special. Kyra suggested dishes and engaged us with her friendly conversation, making the evening even more delightful. Her relaxed serving style was welcoming and her exceptional service truly made our night memorable , rectifying the mediocre experience we had in the restaurant.

….after working all day, showering and going to Wildwood, Rushden Lakes because I’d never been but meant to….waited to get acknowledged and after a while was told that there wasn’t enough staff to seat us or take our order so went to Pizza Express instead. Don’t suppose I’ll bother giving them another chance

Kyra she’s an excellent waitress she’s a great asset to your restaurant. She made us so welcoming with a beautiful smile 😃. Couldn’t fault her service. Made us laugh and smile. Amazing you are Kyra.

Nice Ambience near lake, good food will be served

My meal Seafood linguine for lunch, very oily. 1 muscle unopened, enedable. Only 2 prawns in dish. Grandson meal spaghetti bolognese also very oily. Not enjoyable. Have eaten here before and food was lovely . Disappointed today.

Wow, what can I say! Kind, caring and attentive. Ethan always made sure I was taken care of throughout my food journey which made me feel verry special. I can't wait to come back. Fingers crossed I get Ethan again 🤞

I visited with my friend and our two small babies, we were welcomed and assured it was absolutely fine as it is a family restaurant which I really appreciated. Food was a little pricy but nice. I had the philly cheesesteak sandwich which was delicious. Good baby changing facilities

Although the food was of a better standard than some of these chains it wasn't the greatest. Another over hyped chain. The service was friendly and helpful

I hate leaving anything but positive reviews, but sadly felt the need to on this occasion. The most positive thing about this restaurant was the friendly barman, who politely greeted us, showed us to our table, then went for something to wipe our wet seats for us (outside). Unfortunately, the food was below par. Maybe it was the choices we made on this occasion, but I wouldn’t advise the calamari - it won’t be as you’d expect, in fact, it was the worst we’d ever eaten - tiny little end pieces and tentacles (if that’s all that’s left, then best not to serve it). A tuna steak that was overcooked, rubbery and very dry - and a burger that was tasteless and devoid of any seasoning (how do you screw a burger up?). Sorry, but won’t be coming back.

It was ok. Loud music so encourages people to talk loud so didn't find the atmosphere so relaxed. Lady who took order seemed a bit tense and impatient. Another blanked me when I asked for the bill. Other staff seemed nice so mixed experience. I had the chicken picata milanese. The food was good although sauce was underwhelming. Reasonable value for what it is. Preferred Zizis but if you like a noisy environment this is ok.

I went here for the first time with family and liked it. I ordered vegan lasagna, and it was very tasty, nice not to have aubergine, which I hate. The other family members had salmon fishcake, pizza piccante, and bolognese. Four drinks and two starters ordered. Very friendly staff.

Well. I will split this in parts: The people working there are amazing and very kind. They were very attentive and helpful. We were waiting a lot for the food (+30min) and we expected it to be a bit more flavourful than it was (luckily we had spicy oil on the table). I don't recommend calamari as there were almost no calamari in the plate. The price is quite expensive for the food we had, I don't know if it is because of the lake or the commercial area but omg, that was expensive. We were sited just next to the door, which, at the beginning was ok, but I ended up quite cold after 10 min❄️🥶❄️.

We went on Father's day so probably not the best time. Our Burgers were dry and my friend could not finish the minute steak. Also realised that we had to pay extra for cheese which is included in most burgers. So not impressed at all.

A very warm welcome from Bobby, that instantly puts you at ease. Set in fantastic surroundings with excellent service and very tasty food. Will definitely be coming back again !

Reliable food. Service was on the ball, not rushed, there when you need something and leave you to enjoy your meal otherwise. Clean good atmosphere and made to feel we had made a great choice.

I had a disappointing experience at the restaurant last night. The ambiance of the place was quite nice, and the service was satisfactory, but unfortunately, the food left a lot to be desired. The dish I ordered lacked any discernible flavor, and the accompanying salad seemed like an afterthought. Additionally, another dish we ordered was overcooked and dry. When we brought this to the attention of the staff and asked for a replacement, the second dish was marginally better but still far from satisfying. We were also surprised that there were no dessert options available, and when we inquired about the possibility of a pre-cooked meal, the staff seemed rather offended by the request. It's a pity because the restaurant had a really cool vibe, but to compound the disappointment, we couldn't even find the manager to address our concerns or offer an apology. I sincerely hope that they can make improvements, but as for me, I don't think I'll be returning anytime soon.

We love this restaurant. The food is delicious, the staff was attentive and kind. Dining with 3 small children can be a challenge, but they've provided crayons and coloring paper for them and that helped. Food came quickly and all enjoyed.

Always have good meals here, pizza are better than pizza express next door

We've been in here several times over lunch and once or twice for dinner over the last year or so, and have nothing but good things to say! The staff are amongst the most attentive and friendly at the Lakes - quick to take your order (but not pushy), and food arrives relatively quickly (even when busy), and they don't leave you hanging waiting for the bill at the end. Food is good, restaurant is clean, and a great menu with reasonable prices. After a few good visits we feel we can trust we'll have a good experience whenever we go here. Thank you!

I think it describes Italian food in the UK quite well - overpriced, basic yet tasty As someone who can only eat halal food (no meat or alcohol), the options were very limited as most of the vegetarian options had alcohol but eventually went for a classic margherita pizza and penne arrabiatta both were nice can't really complain about the food but nothing special but the passion fruit lemonade was amazing and the service was great as I'm still new to dining in with friends alone but the waitress helped us split the bill and everything but the prices are way too high especially considering the fact we ordered the most simple, basic dishes

We visited wildwood Rushden’s lakes on the 30th May, the food was lovely and the service was nice and quick considering it was half term. But the stand out was from the general Manager Richard. He was warm and welcoming and has a brilliant personality and you can tell he really enjoys what he does. From a customer service point of view he was brilliant! Got the vibe of the table well, made a table of women laugh a lot and provided 5 star customer service throughout our stay even with an injured arm! Richard is a great asset to your team even if he does put ketchup on his roast dinner and mix his ice cream (haha)! Thank you Richard!!

I have just read further reviews in relation to this restaurant...I cannot believe what I am reading in relation to poor service, poor food...in a time when families are struggling and they want to do something special, they choose your restaurant..! You have a responsibility to give your customers a fantastic and memorable time, as they spend their hard earned money on a dinner, who take the time to pick your establishment to create family memories, to only have them smashed to pieces by poor service and standard food. I suggest you do better.. What a shame...! The location is fantastic the decor airy and vibrant.... unfortunately the food was avarage..the service ok.. but nothing to write home about...we were given a dirty folk...which was replaced. The drinks arrived after the meal was delivered....! ..later on we noticed two of our Water glasses were also dirty... at that point it was Cheque please.....! Unfortunately I won't be rushing back .. and as one great man once said ... from a long serving food chain... " if you've got time to lean....you've got time to clean"

Food was nice, portions small. The vegan lasagne was just one layer. Tasted nice though We went at lunch time on a Sunday . Shocking 10% service charge added with no warning or notices anywhere! Prices were expensive enough at £15-16.50 average for a small portion of food. We all had various pasta dishes. Service was slow, they said they were busy but there were lots of empty tables. We had finished our meal before the second drinks arrived. Loud music inside.

Hi lovely kitchen team, 😘 I would like to thank you to all kitchen staff for a lovely meal. I read the menu I ordered light meal. Wow.. I couldn't believe it the size of pizza was big and lots fresh salad. 😋 It was a big size plate for a meal, very generous with food it was tasty 😋 meal. I enjoyed my meal. I thought light meal was a small slice of pizza and few slice of tomatoes 🍅 and cucumber 🥒 this list is endless. Wow....it was a big portion. Thank you so much. Thank you so much for having us. Good variety of food and drinks.

Came here last night and we throughly enjoyed it. Service was a bit slow but we didn’t complain and it was automatically rectified. The food came out delicious and hot. The service was humerus and friendly. Looking forward to coming back soon

The manager keeps this place apart from the other eating establishments, brilliantly amusing and attentive, reads the clientele perfectly. Food was also excellent, cost was around what you would expect for this type of restaurant.

Food was lovely, service was very slow, waited over 30 minutes to even get a drink.

The ambience and customer service were quite delightful. However, I must express my dissatisfaction with the meal.

I popped in today and met a lovely waitress called kyra she was really outgoing and was extremely nice she happen to sing happy birthday to a table next to us which I found very amusing and kind, However our food was lukewarm and took it upon herself to apologise for the kitchen and swapped our food efficiently. This young lady made me and my daughter’s dining experience that much better. :)

I would say it was a good evening but unfortunately the lady kyra who we had asked a few things said yes no problem then just went over and stood with her friends who were also dining. I had to ask someone else who didn't look impressed with his work colleague who just stood there for half an hour gossiping away with her friend when she should have been working. They also had the cheek to charge for service when we got nothing. Unfortunately I wouldn't be dining here again due to staff only wanting to be social with there friends who dine and no one else. If you charge for service then we'd expect it to be high standard

Great restaurant. Nice and relaxing atmosphere. Lovely place to relax with loved ones. Food is top notch and delicious. Had the carbonara with added chicken and some garlic bread. They accommodated changes to the starter happily and all food for both of us was amazing.

First time here and the food was lovely, we were served by a lovely waiter (ciara) she was EXTREMELY helpful, customer service 10/10 and a lovely girl overall. Would definitely be coming back as her service as spot on. thanks girl <333

A table was booked for Mothers Day today. 2.30 - 4.30, for 8 people. Staff were lovely, but by 4.10 we still hadn't received our mains. I had to ask someone at the bar how long we were going to have to wait for our food, as there didn't seem to be any waiting staff around at the time. I appreciate today was always going to be a busy service day, and we expected a bit of a delay, but this is the 2nd time we have booked and had to wait an unacceptable amount of time. Service charge was added to the final bill, which I asked to be removed under the circumstances. This was removed without question by a member of staff. However, we noticed another error on the bill, which again had to be pointed out, and another revised bill was produced. Sad to say, I'm not sure we will book again, which is a shame for such a lovely setting.

Staff were lovely, really lovely, but the food sizes are so small even my kids that don’t eat much had to be re fed with an entire dinner and hour after the meal. It does not offer value for money, because of the portion size nor is good enough to warrant the cost as most of the pasta dishes can be thrown together in ten minutes with no skill or special ingredients. I had a basic pasta dish with chicken, that was noticeably vacant of chicken, coming away hungry felt a tad pointless of going out for the meal in the first place As an Italian, wanting a quick fix of Italian food, I would definitely choose to go next door at pizza express next time

Took the better half for a Valentines Day lunch date. We had starters and a main and a glass of wine each. Servers were welcoming and very friendly. Food was really delicious, lasagne was lovely and was a good sized portion too and pizza was very nice with a ton of cheesy topping. Card machine was down that afternoon and even though we offered to go to a cash point and come back, they took what money we had, which was around a 1/3 of the meal. Very decent of them, and we will return at some point for another meal for sure. 10 from 10 for sure.

I Went in a few days ago, I had an amaizing service from a young lady named kyra!! I absolutely love it, considering it was my very first time attending this restaurant. She did an amazing job!
