Went to rushden lakes for a pick up from nando's.. service was stellar from Ella..so friendly and professional. Thank you guys.. food was good and fully enjoyed which is saying something as I am a head chef..

Worst Nandos I’ve ever been to. Staff were unorganized, none of them had any clue whatsoever.

This Nandos makes me regret moving to Wellingborough lol -- London Nandos are definitely superior to this nonsense Updated June 2024: order cancelled by Nandos because it's taken them well over an hour to deliver a chicken wrap and chips :/ wasting my time again

As someone who also works in the restaurant industry, I refrain from leaving bad reviews but I could not in this instance. Ordered wings for myself and my mother, the wings were practically falling apart and they smelt off (rotten fish), I did speak with Manager and he did assure me that for healthy and safety guidelines that the meat is always cooked fresh in the mornings etc etc and are kept in drawers. I completely understand that, but those wings aren’t going to be smelling foul after 4/5 hours being in a drawer. I was given half chicken as compensation which was decent but both me and my mother practically left our meals. He handled the situation like any other person would with the ideal answers any company would say. But this is not ok, I don’t even care about the money I’ve spent, if you’re not selling as much meat as you thought you would be the day before or whatever, throw it in the bin! My mum is a chemo patient and if she had fell unwell- imagine the consequences afterwards because clearly I’m not going to mess around. Keep a standard throughout the kitchen. Not acceptable.

After being sent away from a half empty restaurant to wait 30 mins for a table, we then ordered our food waited over an hour for our food to come, having 4 tables be served before us even though they arrived much later. The food then came stone cold with half the order missing and we could address this as no one came back to check on us!

This Nando’s must have the most inept staff in the world. I work in the service industry so I don’t like to leave negative reviews. In the last 10 or so occasions we’ve ordered a hummus and pitta starter. Something is always missing like the pitta or hummus. I’ve always glossed over it. This time they sent me chicken instead of a great imitator, no mistakes… it was the same as my partners wrap. I haven’t eaten meat in 22 years I’ve just thrown up my meal. Cheers you incompetent, useless bunch… Highly recommend you do not order from here if you have an allergy or need a vegetarian or vegan option. They are incapable or getting the basics right!

Lots of options for gluten free, you do need to look at the ingredient list as it's not listed on the menu. But as long as you tell the staff they are careful and everything comes out with a little allergen flag on. My go to is butterfly chicken, macho peas and rainbow slaw. Yum!

It is what you would expect for a Nando's easy access from the A14 if your looking for a break & next door to a supermarket petrol station

Really disappointed with our meal here. I understand service can be slow when busy, but I have never had to wait 40 minutes at a Nando’s for my food before! There was no signal or working wifi so the orders had to be placed at the till, there was only one member of staff taking orders and the queue was long. The scanner for the Nando’s card also wasn’t working so we missed out on a chilli. The food was ok, however I had some bone in my boneless chicken, and was unable to finish my meal as this made me feel uneasy (I have autism and sensory issues). Safe to say I don’t think I will be returning

Josh was an absolute diamond as was Craig, both very attentive and welcoming. Fizz came over and spoke to me and my husband, he was also very helpful & humorous. The only complaint my husband has is when Tommy came over, he interrupted us mid conversation and continued to speak about football. Overall though a good experience

Lovely place to grab some lunch

Waited for nearly an hour and didn’t get our food till we brought it up to the staff. When we got the food our order was wrong and we received a medium spiced butterfly chicken burger when we ordered the burger plainish. We asked for a new one because it was too hot and the waiter told someone else who visibly wasn’t happy with the complaint.

This has been one of the best Nandinos I've been too. It's consistently good, very rarely have anything out of stock (although the ice machine is hit and miss) tables are always clean and service is fast.

Come on Christmas Eve, all staff were excellent and very welcoming. The food as usual was amazing. Not the best day to work but had the best service

Can't beat a cheeky nandos! I have been there many times and the food is always good quality and the staff are really attentive too. Even when it's busy the staff are good at organizing wait times and getting you seated.

It was quite busy when we went but service and staff were great, as was food. Tommy in particular worked very hard and is clearly very committed to the brand.

Went here on 12th Oct with my partner. The manager Denise was an absolute delight , she was friendly , helpful, approachable, funny and lovely she made our stay memorable and enjoyable she was truly a delight. We shared a whole chicken , had garlic bread, hullumi side , rice and peri chips and coleslaw and we finished every single bit , our 1st round of garlic bread was a bit hard but one of the waitresses replaced it which was lovely. Will definitely be back. Thanks again!

Staff don’t know how to do their job properly, apart from a lovely blue haired lady, the rest are inept, food was messed up on 2 occasions and staff were unwilling to help, very disappointed

Find it hard to review because you never get in the place. Restaurant is always half full, yet you’re constantly told “half an hour wait” even though there’s 20 free tables. Most pointless Nando’s in the country.

Would like to say the young gentleman called Tommy who met us at the door was so friendly he then took us to our table again so polite and friendly we ordered on the app and again Tommy brought us our glasses for our drinks just want to say what a lovely young man you have working there

Food was good but the wife’s butterfly chicken was a bit dry and her corn was burnt other than that it was a positive experience.

This is my favourite restaurant in the area. Always a friendly welcome. Nice and cool inside, a great escape from today's sun. A great menu choice. Bottomless drinks choice. Quick service, fast and efficient. Good value for money. I highly recommend the sunset burger.

Although we waited 35 minutes to get into the restaurant, our server Tommy was so polite and such a friendly face in the restaurant, food was great as always. Definitely recommend!

We ordered a Nando’s delivery through their app and the order was completely wrong when it turned up, there were items In the bag that we didn’t order and the food was cold. We tried to contact Nando’s stressing how angry we were and they hung up, we called back and got the manager and they told us to contact Deliveroo (which we didn’t order through), Nando’s manager was completely useless and didn’t help at all, they said we had to re order in the app to get the food we wanted which meant spending another £40 + delivery and service charge and we weren’t willing to do that. So we couldn’t eat our food because it was wrong and cold and we were told by Deliveroo we had to wait over 72 hours for the refund, last time this happened I waited over a month for a refund. Don’t think I will wait for the ‘third time lucky’.

Went there today with a friend for the first time for lunch, the food was cold but I was so hungry I ate it, normally I would send it back, the pitta bread was not toasted as it said on the menu , and neither was the patty , very disappointing and very overpriced for the size of the portions ,first time at any Nandos I always heard people rave about Nandos , but I was not impressed and dont think I will be going back , asked about the vegetarian option and the staff did not seem very knowledgable about the Menu

The food was absolutely delicious and the people and manager were lovely and very helpful, especially the manager with the short red hair, as she was very nice.

Avoids at all cost manager does NOT come Over to speak to you very incompetent staff walk past orders and laughing amongst themselves food gets very cold I would be embarrassed to be a manager of this place no wonder it is low ranked on the performance table this branch needs to be looked at by head quarters immediately manager to be moved on another member of staff the uni guy smirked cost I complained of cold food

If you like the taste of charcoal, with an added taste of bad management and poor customer service then this is the franchise for you. After last night's dinner I won't be ordering from Nandos in Rushden Lakes again. The chicken was charred and overcooked - you know... when the chicken is so overcooked that it turns to rubber. This is the 4th order I've placed with Nandos Rushden lakes, and it will be the last. There has been issues on every order. 1st order - Waited 2 hours for the food, after the order had been sent for collection at a specified time. 2nd order - Missing food, overcooked chicken ( not charred, a bit rubbery this time) unattentive staff members. 3rd order - Missing drinks, no condiments, they ran out of chicken according to the staff member, but there was just enough . Lucky me.

Having trouble with ordering through the QR code, it wouldn’t log me in without first sending a code to my email. Seven times I clicked on resend as I wasn’t getting any code through for minutes, then all at once all 7 codes came through so I had to pick one without actually closing the screen!! Impossible!!! Then I managed to get logged in, but the stupid thing couldn’t locate what restaurant I was in (lol)! So, yeah we had trouble. Was a great shame no one approached us and asked us for alternative methods of ordering. I usually wouldn’t leave a bad review for a rubbish system, however the staff here had plenty of time to sort things, but they never. Shame as I had rewards too. Think Nando’s is a miss from now on until they remove the rubbish QR ordering system.

Sat here as I type at table 2. Probably known locally as the invisible table because 22 minutes after being shown to my seat, no one has even acknowledged me. Walking out now. Can’t comment on the food obvs!

Tommy was our waiter and he was lovely and friendly. He welcomed us with a lovely smile! Good food too. Food took a bit long to come out but overall was good!

Such a positive experience, really friendly staff. In particular the supervisor on shift (wearing a really funky shirt!) was superb couldn’t fault his service and really helpful as it was my first time eating here and talked through everything, 5 star experience.

Nandos Rushden Lakes is the best Nandos hands down! Weve just had a bad experience with Deliveroo, however when I spoke to George, he arranged to remake our whole order in a fast time as otherwise we would be left without food! It was piping hot and delicious. The service is always AMAZING and the food, AMAZING. Thankyou to the staff of Nandos Rushden, we come so often and every time is spot on!!

This is the worst Nando’s I’ve ever visited. The staff got my order wrong, and then was rude to me when I asked for it to be rectified. Then I found an unwanted hair in my food, to which the manager stressed her immediate apologies, she then told me I’d be receiving a wonderful £25 voucher for their lovely establishment. Am still waiting for this to be received over a week later. The coke machine ‘hasn’t worked properly for weeks’, and the overall cleanliness of this Nando’s is well below par. With staff who would rather be suited to working somewhere where manners and smiles aren’t needed, it’s safe to say…… I won’t be coming back.

Ordered food to collect at 8.30pm walked in at 8.20pm and they hadn't even started cooking it. Food was eventually handed over at 9.30pm! Will never be using this place again.

Very bad service today, we saw a lot of empty tables but we need to wait in the queue for around 30 minutes. Next the staff didn't care about us ,we need to ask about glasses waiting for a food, we waited fir order next 40 min after ask they bring us the food. The worst Nandos which we visited, very slowly and rude staff

20 minutes wait for a table, even though there was few empty but not cleared. Clearly under staffed. Got a table then was told there would be a 30 wait for chips. Went to Blue Mountain yard a few doors up. Bloody marvelous.

My first visit to a Nando's restaurant, with my wife, daughter and her fella as a birthday treat for me. Food was good, chicken moist and the spicy chips very tangy! I chose medium spice level on the chicken, which turned out to be quite high, but just within my tolerance range. The only downside was that the food was only warm when served, any cooler and it would have been sent back. But overall a good experience and one that I see being repeated.

Always consistently good service and still offers good value.

My Corn on the cob was cold, the rest of the meal was good. They were very busy.

When I ordered a quarter chicken I was presented with a chicken leg which no matter how you cut it isn’t ever going to be an equal quarter. Value for money is not at the standard I expect and the way my issue was dealt with was completely unprofessional and I was spoken to in a very rude tone.

Only my 2nd visit to any Nandos and was impressed by the service and food.

If you have 40 mins to wait everytime u visit this nandos then sound. 3 tables taken, restraunt empty, 40 min wait. Madness. Bua on the door 1 star aswell

Every time we come into Nando’s, Tommy is always there to great us, he always seems happy and makes the experience a lot better.

Could do with a bit of urgency as we were made to wait a long time. Drinks machine did not work. Staff were courteous and smiling but the service was a bit slow.

Lovely place. Not a fan of online order in the restaurant, but that was the only negative aspect. Great food, and peri peri chicken. The staff was helpful and I will comeback for sure.

First and last time I have ordered from here for delivery. Order placed at 4.30pm, collected by driver at 5.50, delivered a 3 mile drive, in 20 mins. Food cold and inedible. Called the restaurant to be told its not their problem. Now having to fight to get a refund. Poor service from both Nandos and Deliveroo.

Normally fairly busy in the evenings - staff are nice - food is good - they tend to switch of deliveroo a lot though and as local who loves a Nando’s it’s annoying that you can’t always order delivery.

My wife and I stopped at this Nando’s just before they closed on our way home from a 15 hour ambulance shift. Despite being ready to close, they managed to find us a portion of chicken and chips to take away, with a dessert of Olives and custard tarts. Nando’s food is Nando’s, but it tastes so much better for being serviced by the wonderful team at rushden lakes, they were all polite and helpful and a credit to the brand.

If you're dining in on a Friday evening be prepared for a very long wait. We waited 55 mins for our food in a restaurant that was 3/4 full. We weren't the only ones either, I realised shortly after ordering that I should have gone elsewhere, when I saw that the majority of diners were waiting for food, I witnessed a lot of disgruntled customers and the poor staff trying to keep everyone happy. Funnily enough we saw a lot of takeaway orders going out whilst waiting, so takeaway does seem to get prioritised over diners in the restaurant. So my question to the management of Nando's Rushden Lakes is "Are you a restaurant or a takeaway?" Because your kitchen sure as heck doesn't have the capacity to cover both on a busy weekend night. Seems like you continued to accept all the online takeaway orders whilst you've got a restaurant full of unhappy customers. If you want to prioritise takeaway just shut the restaurant on busy evenings and run the kitchen as takeaway only!

This has to be the worst Nandos I've ever been to. We waited 45 minutes for a table as we were told there was nothing available. There were plenty of empty tables available at that time, but we waited anyway. Once we were told our table was ready via the queue system, we made our way back into the restaurant and the same empty tables were still available. After ordering our food via the app, we waited a further 40 minutes for our food. I had to get up and ask where our food was as no one came to tell us our food may be a while. Once we our food arrived there was no clean cutlery available and so we had to wait for that while our food got cold. Finally the cutlery was brought to us. My partner had the Veggie Bean Burger which was awful as it was cold and the bun was absolutely solid. We tried putting the cocktail stick into the bread, but it wouldn't go and just blunted the end. At this point we had waited so long and were so hungry that we just ate our food anyway, minus the bun. Furthermore, one came to check to see if our food was okay, so we would have had to go the counter to complain for a second time. Our usual date night was ruined by the waiting and the terrible food. This isn't the first time we have had a bad experience at this Nandos, but as it's the most local to us, we thought we'd return in hope it had improved. Sadly, it hasn't and we definitely won't be returning again. It seems that the restaurant was prioritising it's takeaway service as we saw delivery drivers leaving with one order and then returning for the next while we were still waiting for ours to arrive at the table. To top it off, partner told me that the ladles toilets were in a disgusting state.

terrible..........only giving one star because I cant give 0!!!waited 45 minutes for food after being sat at a dirty table in a half empty restaurant. of course had three sets of covid related excuses as to why it was taking so long .empty tables full of dirty plates for the whole duration of the time we were there .food nothing to write home about no communication the waiter said he would send the manager over once we had finished and offered us complimentary desserts which we declined.the manager never came over .

Plenty of parking, easy to find and at time of eating it wasn't busy at all. Great decor, which is Nando's standard. Decided to try the vegan/plant based options. Perhaps 3 tables seating at time of visit, so now que and ordered quite fast. However, to get the starters out took such a long time, then same with mains. In Nando's Milton Keynes, its alot busier but food came out in half the time. So unsure why it took soo long at such a quiet time. Neighbouring table had 1 person eating and he was getting angry as his was also taking too long. Either way, food was warm when served which is where the 1 star is achieved. Unfortunately the food was beyond tasteless. The standard that Nando's has for chicken is set high, but for Plant based and vegetarian options they really shouldn't bother. It was like rubber, no taste, dry and difficult to eat. The only element of the meal we enjoyed was the Chips! Spent £45 for 2 adults and one child, and felt completely ripped off. For that reason I give it 1 star out of 5, as the food was not Nando's standard. Won't be going to this Nando's that's for certain.

Friday eve very busy. Waited 45 mins for a table. It felt like we waited another 45 mins for food. Staff seemed lovely it was just too long. I had my young nieces who was besides herself. It spoiled an otherwise lovely evening.

5/5 if you don't order via the web app... they had our order come through but didn't pick it up for 20 minutes and only found out when we asked for our drinks, so about 40 minutes when we'd normally wait 10 to 15

It was okay ish, seem to be down on staff and so struggled with getting food out and seating people in a timely manner

Restaurant is great, waiting can be a bit long, but that's because its so popular. We had the takeaway service, waiting time, hardly at all, wrap I had was excellent, chips 🍟 👌 really great, good value if you have a Daughter who works there 😀 😉, overall just great.!!!

I had a very pleasant evening here but only because of the company I had and not the experience of dining. Nandos food is Nandos food nothing to complain about here. However, the tops were off all of the sauce bottles and the dried up drips clinging to the bottles of where other people had used them wasn't very appealing. It looked quite grubby to be fair. The toilets were not very clean either. The staff walked around with no smiles all looking like they were wishing for their beds, but in saying that they were friendly and helpful when approached. One of our guests is gluten intolerant and it would have been useful to have seperate GF/allergen menu like so many other resturants do these days. A pleasant evening but could have been a little better. Oh and I loved the lampshades lol.

We have just finished our meal at nando's and it was a wonderful experience. Tommy from start to finish was exceptional and attentive. He made sure we were happy with our orders, service and food. Service with a smile. You can tell he puts his all in to his role and that he cares about making his customers experience. Will definitely be returning. Thank you Tommy for making our evening even better, martin.

dunno what is up with this nando’s but there’s always a long wait to get seated when there are empty tables? staff are okay but get the manager on a busy shift and you’re not gonna have a good experience. sack this place off and go nando’s kettering. much nicer staff and dining experience tbh!

Nandos was refreshingly quiet so we clearly arrived at the right time. The staff are always welcoming, the food is cooked to perfection and served with a smile. It was a pre cinema trip so no time for starters or desserts today, although the main was plenty.
