Had a brilliant meal out after a long day. Shout out for Lily who was just amazing and so on top of everything. Our other server Charlie was also really lovely. I asked to have a dish with no mint and it was no trouble at all. 10/10 would definitely recommend

It took me a while to make the decision to write this review but have decided I can't let it go as it ruined my night and I feel like we were mistreated by the manager. I booked a large table to celebrate my birthday back in June and was so excited as the menu and website looked amazing but unfortunately my experience wasn't good and the service was very disappointing. The waiters altough friendly were very inexperienced, there were a few situations we weren't happy with but the main one being that we asked for a bottle of white wine and the wine was warm so we sent it back and asked for it to be cold only for the same thing to happen another 2 time, when we sent it back for the 3rd time the manager came to our table and she was so so rude, to the point one of my friends was holding the bottle and she snatched it from her hands!! She was very aggressive and in my opinion not fit to be a manager. The atmosphere was very heavy after that, we didn't feel welcome at all. This ruined my birthday dinner and I wouldn't recommend this restaurant to anyone I know after this experience.

Food is good as expected for wildwood but service ruins it. Incredibly slow service for being one of 3 parties in the entire restaurant arrived at 6 took around 45 minutes to get mains which were just 2 pizzas. Total time in restaurant was around 2 and a half hours. Again food was good but service and the time it took ruined it.

First time here & it didn’t disappoint. Food was delicious, lots to choose from on the menu, and the special kids menu was perfect for our son! Restaurant is lovely inside, will definitely be back.

Vicky and the team created a lovely atmosphere and dining experience. Banter with the staff, excellent food and great service. Highly recommend.

Difficult to rate properly due to a quiet Sunday lunch time. Would be more accurate on busy lunch or evening. That being said the service was very good, the food was prompt, hot and tasty. Had the lighter bite pizza and salad which was bigger than expected. The sweet potato fries were also excellent.

Very Good. We were in a real hurry and we stopped at this place as a result of pizza express having really poor customer service; managing to make us feel uncomfortable within a minute of entering the premises, which is quite an achievement. I’ll give them their own review when I have a moment. So we walked farther up toward the clock tower and found this place, and we’re very glad we did. Myself, my wife and two young children were immediately greeted by a well presented, polite young man who promptly seated us in a place of our preference. We ordered pizza for the children, and they also had some of the bolognaise and the carbonara, both of which were very good. We also had a very good pepperoni pizza; well topped, seasoned, and with a nice crisp bite. The food was all delicious, the service was great, and the restaurant is a nice, clean place to be while you eat. We’ll definitely be going back. Edit: Wasn’t so good the next time we went back. Different people working makes a big difference.

Nice selection of drinks. Had a good table, I ordered an artisan veg pizza, which was delicious, but absolutely massive. The mixed salad was poor, mainly chopped iceberg lettuce. Really pleasant staff member and was a good venue for the kids in our party

Surprised that the star rating is even as high as it is, I went for a date at the restaurant: the food served was not good and the environment was very very stiff.

My partner and I eat here from time to time and always enjoy the food. The service is always good too - shout out to Jessica ☺️

Thursday night atmosphere, DEAD. Service good, to a point of overdoing it. Food, it's okay, just about above average. All in all, not somewhere I'd rush back to.

A lovely restaurant that feels more like an independent family place rather than part of a chain. Delicious food with a good selection of gluten free options. A nice cocktail menu is an added bonus.

The place looked amazing. That's the good part, unfortunately the poor serving girl seemed a bit lost and inexperienced. The kitchen forgot half the food, leaving one person not eating due to not even getting their meal. Then to top it off, the missed food was still on the bill. Obviously this was then removed from the bill but by that point so was the service charge. I hope it was just a bad day and not their standard.

Great food for fair prices. Newmarket location is very good. Within walking distance of shopping center and high street. No complaints about the place.

Had work Xmas meal here in December. It’s very hot sitting up stairs. Food was nice and portion size great. Alicia is a great waitress, always making sure we had drinks and that everything was good. Always smiling.

Nice place food good. A bit of a let down as we had moctails and they were served in tumbler glass with a straw and was like expensive fruit juice ( i know thats what it is) but make it a bit razzle dazzle for the price. Apart from that they do tell you there is an optional 10% service charge on the bill. I dont like that but hey ho thats life. Overall I'd go again as it was nice place to eat and the people are good at their job and polite

Had what was supposed to be a Xmas meal it was awful. Every dish served was luke warm. I was last to be served on every dish! most of our table had finished their food before I had even started. I have never know a prawn cocktail to be so spicy and taste awful. Never again!!

We had our annual party at the Wildwood on Saturday 22nd October. Karolina was fantastic in the week before helping set everything up as we wanted it. We had over 70 people, 3 courses, all of which were excellent. Service from the staff was superb and a brilliant time had. Thank you the Wildwood for making it an excellent evening.

A great meal here for my daughter’s birthday. Food was cooked well and the portion size looked small was actually quite filling. The desserts were excellent. Service by Alicia was exceptional.

Italian food from a chain restaurant situated in the centre of Newmarket. Welcoming decor and atmosphere, friendly staff offering good service. Menu is the predictable mix of pizza, pasta but the food is good and well presented.

Relaxed atmosphere. Staff friendly and helpful. Food delicious and well presented. The only problem was the long wait for food . but do appreciate it was all freshly cooked.

Hi we had a good night at wildwood Newmarket in the whole, but both of us had the Risotto and it tasted ok but nothing special the main problem was the amount we got it was tiny portion we had a desert I had tiramisu which was outstanding my friend had the lemon tart which was also fantastic both very well presented, the service was very good 10 out of 10 for that. The atmosphere was a bit noisy but there was a large party of about 10-12 ppl just a couple meters away. The one thing that did annoy me was I gave a £5 cash tip to the waitress when paying the bill not realising there was a 10% service charge already added to bill. I will be going back at some point but will not be having the risotto next time as had to get a McDonald’s on way home as was still hungry

Nice food. Over priced for what you get. They add on a service charge which really annoys me. We paid what we felt the service charge should be, reminder you do not need to pay that at all!!! However food was nice, service was satisfactory but it's unlikely I would go back. Sorry Wildwoods.

I love the atmosphere at this Wildwood, cozy and intimate with a spectacular pizza oven. Has GF pasta bolognese and hubby had vegan aubergine pasta. Both mains were delicious and brought quickly to the table. Service was kind and prompt. Drinks were yummy.

Food was average service was poor

Service was quite poor as they seemed quite understaffed. Quite a nice selection on the menu, however my personal choice of the rack of ribs was rather dry and a bit undercooked making it chewy unlikely the melt in the mouth one would expect.

Lovely place and service the food was average sadly it's not fresh 😢 asked if I could have the mushrooms taken out prior to cooking was told they can't as it comes in that way. Was a bit shocked tbf 😳

My partner and I had been let down on our reservations at another restaurant, so we thought we'd try Wildwood. It was 7.30pm on a Friday night so we knew it would be a bit of a gamble that they would have a table free. It seemed like they might not have the space, but the manager and her team went about making a quick turn around on a table that had JUST been cleared and seated us within only a minute or two. We both ordered the steak (not really one for photographing my food but I really wish I had!), both came out very promptly and we absolutely delicious! The steak was tender and juicy, the sauce was flavourful and light, and the fries were lovely and crispy without being over seasoned or oily. When finished our steaks, we were offered the dessert menu - we did look through it but didn't order anything, neither of us has much of sweet tooth. One of the girls had come to check on us and ask how everything was partway through the meal, Karolina came over to check on us again as we asked for the bill. My one and only 'nitpick' (although by no means a negative statement, just a constructive hope) - a slightly better whiskey/whisky selection would have been great! Jack Daniels and Jamesons are decent (I went for Jamesons), but would have loved a nice glass of Glenmorangie/Glenfiddich/Talisker to be able to have with my steak. All of the staff members had been so friendly and accommodating, the atmosphere of the venue was lovely, and the food was absolutely delicious! We left there already talking about when we'd be wanting to come back again to try other things on the menu! Thank you again to Karolina and the team, you all made our night and we look forward to coming by again!

Lovely meal out at the Newmarket branch of Wildwood's. Food was good, the service was good, the atmosphere was good. Highly recommended the panna cotta (however you spell it) - its the best I've eaten in a very long time! Did not inspect the toilet facilities so unable to comment on those. There is parking around the back of the TK Max, definitely the closest car park to this Wildwood.

Ate here last night, and though starters and my partners steak main were good, I was so disappointed with the 'new Nicoise Salad' on the menu. The tuna definitely wasn't fresh... more like a cheap tinned tuna than chunks of steak (as menu photo depicts), left a tuna mush at the bottom of the dish 🤮 ...I did mention when asked by waiter if all was okay, but just got a "oh, sorry about that" and not sure it would be fed back 💁‍♀️

Went for our anniversary, ordered the rack of ribs they were very chewy and tough not worth £18, the chips were hard and not cooked all the way through what a joke for £5 for a portion, ordered the cookie dough desert and it was just liquid unedible and raw. Lotus cheesecake was the only positive. Will defo not recommend and will not return awful value for money, service was slow but our waitress was lovely.

This particular branch of wildwood is especially good. They are very good at checking for allergies and are happy to accommodate swaps as all food is made fresh to order apart from what has been marinated of course. The staff are always eager to ensure you have everything you need and the chef likes to see people enjoy the food. The ambiance is rather lovely and the air conditioning is great without being loud. The music is light enough to allow quiet conversation and they never rush you to leave. The chairs are comfortable. Dogs are not welcome and bathrooms and baby changing facilities are unfortunately only accessible by stairs. Lovely place for dinner or lunch, reliable high quality, reasonable prices and very quick service of standard British portion sizes :)

Perfect for an informal family dinner to chat.

Went for dinner with my family and in-laws. There was a wide range of dishes and options to choose from and we all had some lovely starters and mains, including an Antipasti sharing board and the seafood linguini special. All through the night the service was really good and we thoroughly enjoyed the evening. Happy to go back any time.

Wanted to try this place since all the bad reviews are old. I was not disappointed. Great food, excellent waitress they are always making sure you have everything you need. Again the food tasted amazing. Calamari, garlic tiger prawns for starters and full rib rack and picante pizza. Watering mouth.

Really nice restaurant and a great service. It could use some TLC since at a closer look everything is a bit tired. Food was really good, I had mushroom risotto with chicken abd my wife had a pasta.

What a lovely place to have dinner! The food was quite good and the service was friendly and helpful. Everyone enjoyed their meals. The sticky toffee date pudding was AMAZING! I really hope I get to return in the future because it was the best sticky toffee I've had in a restaurant! The restaurant is absolutely delightful!

Worst service on the planet. I waited 30 min to have my order taken, and then when I ordered dessert I waited an hour just to find out that the dessert order was never placed. No one checked our table the entire meal and I was there for two hours. The table next to us waited 45 min just to pay their bill

What a fabulous place, the staff where lovely, very pleasant and talkative helpful and polite, the food and Italian wine where perfect we loved it so much, the one in Newmarket, we booked Christmas day at the York restaurant 😀 can't wait
