Wildwood in Harborough

Popped in on the hop. Was OK, nothing that made it stand out but wasn't horrible either.

Lasagne and bolognaise where delicious and the cheese cake was amazing service was fast and easy atmosphere was calm and quiet For lunch time calamari was tasty got a lot and soup was beautiful thank you for reading

I visited Saturday 30th March with a friend and our kids. My first impression was that it was a lovely place. I ordered the seafood linguine for myself, Steak for my friend and pizza for my daughter. The linguine looked very good and it tasted really nice until I chewed a stone which subsequently led to part of my tooth cracking and falling off. I didn’t realise it was the stone until I started having funny feelings in my tooth and I went to their bathroom to check. I discovered the side of my tooth has cracked and fallen off. I spoke to the waiter and I was asked if I had the stone. Obviously I didn’t because it got broken into tiny pieces in my mouth hence the damage done. It was awkward for me, made me feel like I was lying. I am very disappointed that what should have been a pleasant day turned out to be very distressing day for me. I am extremely sad about this and I am hoping it would be an easy fix. It will obviously cost me money too. You have a lovely restaurant, I understand mistakes happen, would have appreciated if someone took the time to apologise properly for the damage done.

Excellent service, nice food, open pizza oven

Service and hospitality from the front of house was fine. However the lasagne that I had was the worst lasagne I have ever had, that includes restaurants in Italy. Judging from the temperature of it when served I think it was microwaved. Very little taste. Anyway I shall not be returning any time soon. Very disappointed ☹️

Very nice mid week evening meal with family at Wildwoods Market Harborough. Will be doing it again soon.

Went for lunch today, had the 2 course menu it was very good excellent lasagne, staff very good and polite nice atmosphere, I would recommend this restaurant and next time I'm in market harbough I shall go again.

Really good service and great Italian food. Family day organised by my sister in law so a really pleasant surprise.

Not the fanciest place to eat but really good, simple food for a decent price. The team were excellent.

Today I visited another time this place. Food was delicious like on first visit. The atmosphere in this place is incredible, also the personnel and offered service by them is on an amazing level. I highly recommend this place for dinner.

Very disappointed with our visit.....3 small starters. 2 small lasagnas. (no garlic bread or salad,)lasagna was 1 layer only.the thin crust vegetable pizza was OK....2 small wine spritzers and 1 mocktail....over £95 ..Will not be visiting again...

Lovely friendly staff with great service. The food is always great and value for money. Every time my partner and I visit Market Harborough we always dine here one evening. Highly recommend.

Amazing service and food! The waiter we had was extremely friendly and professional, kept us topped up with drinks, and was so polite throughout the whole experience! I'd happily return here! Parking was a tad awkward. I had to park up the street and walk down, but other than that can't complain! Excellent place! Would rate it higher if I could!

Food poisoned on my Birthday, Had lasagne for dinner and within two hours experienced sickness and vomiting like never before. Contacted the manager day after and was given nonsense excuses with no offer of compensation just a simple apology. This restaurant has gone spiral down since pandemic. I can’t wait to see them close down as they are such a shame for Market Harborough town centre. Never go back again.

Attended the last Friday in April....... downstairs was virtually empty. Upstairs was empty........ Overpriced pizza and pasta and 10% gratuity added to the bill. What a rip off......never again

Had a nice lunch here. The lunch set menu for 2 or 3 courses is reasonably priced so definitely worth trying out. Good selection of vege options, nice Cookie and cream cheescakes to finish and staff were friendly. It's also a nice restaurant to sit in. I will be back for there lunch time menu soon.

I am from Rome originally so I am quite fussy when it comes to pizza, but I was pleasantly surprised with my thin base Margherita pizza: it definitely exceeded my expectations of a restaurant chain, and the staff were very attentive and pleasant too. Well done!

Polite staff, food ok apart from piece of undercooked chicken that the chef refused was an issue. Spoilt the meal. After challenging did remove cost of meal and service charge at least.

Lovely food that came in good time. Staff were polite when encouraging and reminding people about wearing masks around the restaurant.

Considering it was under staffed. The staff that were there were incredibly efficient, polite serving our table of 8 well. The food was delicious 😋 will definitely return.

Well we booked a table we got shown to our table ordered our drinks a bottle of wine it was cold which was good we ordered a shared starter it came but it was wrong garlic bread that was for the table behind us then ours came and it was right the waitresses were okay they were both very attentive a little too much but the meal on the whole was lovely will be taking friends back on 31st August looking forward to it

Bit hit and miss this depending on what you choose , don't have the ribs but the pasta was good

A lovely restaurant. Has a great 2 or 3 course lunch menu offer too for during the week. Restaurant had a great atmosphere with a big pizza oven and open kitchen. It wasn't very busy and the staff were great. Food was delicious.

Fairly varied menu, something for everyone I'd say. Our party all enjoyed their food, with good portions served. My Calzone was good, not the best I've had but tasty and packed with flavour. The Tiramasu was disappointing as it didn't appear to contain any liquor and was quite small.

Booked a table for a Saturday lunch time family meal, having never been before and relying on reviews from Google I went with an open mind. Have to say I was very impressed and so was the wife and little man. The food was very tasty and swiftly served, in fact you would have thought we were the only people in there it came so fast! It was busy in there but the staff had all the time in the world for you and it was very apparent that they were very accommodating to any challenge that walked through the door that most other places would of turned away. The most apparent thing that struck us was that it was natural hospitality and not forced because they were being paid. A really pleasant place and we will definitely be going back.

My first experience here, but everyone else in my party has been here before & it didn't disappoint! Excellent table service from our attentive & friendly staff, the food was fresh & very tasty, full of flavour & expertly cooked! Highly recommended, do yourself a favour & come here to eat!

Nice ambience buy food let's it down

Came here on a Saturday night. Starters were okay but the mains weren't cooked particularly well - my risotto for example was very soggy - and it took a decent length of time for the food to arrive. I am not sure Wildwood has a particularly unique offering anymore - I think there are nicer places and chains to spend your money.

Wonderful service, so quick and so friendly. Came in for a spontaneous birthday meal and was great. Food was well presented and delicious.

Very good selection of tasty pastas. Brilliant customer service all round, will be back for sure.

Excellent all round, can’t wait to visit again

Popped in for a spontaneous meal! It was very busy on a Tuesday and only 2 staff were on. However they coped fantastically polite and professional. There were people being rather challenging but we had a lovely relaxing meal and the food was great.

Great food and service but should learn how to serve a G and T! Not in a wine glass 😉

Good pizzas at Wildwood but I found their medium-rare "28-day matured steak" uneatable. The very nice, friendly waitress apologised but the manager questioned my judgement. As the meat was tough I assume the steak was either not aged but more than likely it was taken straight from the fridge as the outside was overcooked while the inside was cold and bloody. Not a good experience, doubt we'll be back as there are many excellent restaurants and pubs in Market Harborough.

An unplanned visit to this Italian outlet. Our server very efficient, giving us a table and drinks ordered. Risotto was tasty (lots of garlic) but rice could have been cooked a little longer. Tiramisu was divine. Will eat here again when in the area.

Lovely calamari starters loved the pesto and tomatoe garlic bread starter and pizza's were delicious. Will visit again

Decided to have have a meal on the chancellor as a holiday farewell and decided to try wildwood once again (poor experience 10 years ago). We had an exemplary Covid Rules briefing but after that , I’m afraid it went down hill after that. My husband ordered a spicy prawn Tomato spaghetti which was devoid of spice and any seasoning. I ordered the mushroom risotto which first came out as a chicken and mushroom pasta. When I received the risotto I couldn’t really taste the truffle oil Or see the Parmesan shavings it offered. Also again devoid of seasoning. If I hadn’t got a discount (eat out to help out) I would have been very disappointed!!Being particularly British we told the staff the meal was ok- what could we do? It’s not their fault that it was basic. The service though was very friendly and warm but the whole experience was underwhelming. We thought we would give the restaurant another shot- never again I’m afraid 😟
