This spot is a Hidden Gem in the middle of the Angel Precinct. I came in for Lunch with a group of friends this week and I had the Falafel special which was delicious! My friends had a Bacon, Brie and Cranberry panini and a Jacket Potato cheese and beans. All food homemade, flavourful and served beautifully. The ladies working were super polite and welcoming. We all left very happy and will definitely be back! Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area! Thank you Wild Heart Café :)

Quite awful. This is not quite a high-end cafe pretending to be a bistro, selling poor quality food and higher than necessary prices. The food was not particularly well cooked and put on a plate rather than presented. Compared to other options around the town this (in my opinion) is perhaps best avoided - despite what other reviews say.

Whilst having a ramble around Bourne we happened across this coffee shop. It looked very appealing from the outside so we thought we'd pop in for coffee and a quick bite. Firstly, it was really cold. Too cold to take your coat off. We ordered coffees but just couldn't bring ourselves to pay £5.50 for a croissant. That's just ridiculous. No wonder the couple at the next table were sharing one!! Toast was the same price. The coffee was fine and the service was pleasant but we won't be returning.

What a gem! We went there for lunch, nothing was too much, food was fresh and was so tasty! Cakes are homemade and are absolutely delicious! We also took home cheese scones, again home made and were delicious! Coffee was amazing too! The lady who served us was lovely and so accommodating! Always a smile on her face :) I can’t rate this place enough! Defo visit if you are in Bourne and fancy tasty food and coffee! We will definitely be back! Oh a side note cafe was clean and had a great atmosphere! Loved everything about it! Well done wild heart cafe!

My partner and I were passing through Bourne today and stopped to look for somewhere to eat. We came across the Wild Heart cafe and decided to go in. We were not disappointed. It is a lovely little cafe and everything on the menu is homemade. I had a toasted croissant stuff full of ham and melted cheese. My other half had a ham and cheese baguette. Both were delicious. This was followed by hot drinks and a tasty little bun filled with apple purée. We cannot fault this cafe and will definitely be going back….. soon!

Haven’t been in a while due to Covid, but found that, if anything, the food is even better than we remembered! The salmon quiche was superb with a wonderful flaky crust, while hubby’s pulled BBQ pork sandwich was wolfed down before I could grab a taste - he said it was delicious. Both came with lovely crispy skinny fries, salad and slaw. Had to have dessert too because they looked amazing, and they didn’t disappoint! Nice coffee too. Not to mention that the owner is friendly and a great hostess. Has got to be the best place for lunch and dessert in Bourne!

Just been out for an evening meal at the Wild Heart Cafe in the Angel Hotel passageway in Bourne, as we heard they'd starting opening Tues, Weds & Thurs 6.30pm to 9pm. Delicious, photos below. Sorry there's not one of the King prawns cooked in garlic butter, etc - it looked so good we just fell on it, forgetting the camera until later. The mains we both chose were the Crab linguine, all the stuff is on their online menu until they change it for something different next week We particularly liked Simon's laid back choice of background music during the meal.

I came across this cafe by accident and was pleased to have found it. There was a friendly welcome, good vegetarian choice, good service, and a clean and tidy environment. The music theme (both in the cafe and toielt!) reflects the adjoining music shop and the background music being played was both pleasant and unobtrusive. I was pleased to see they use bread from an independent baker for their sandwiches, and their Turkish flatbread panini is the best panini I've ever had. I'm sure I'll make a return visit when visiting Bourne again.

Visiting Bourne, I discovered that the vegetarian friendly cafe we'd hoped to visit was closed for a holiday. We decided to search for another cafe and discovered this lovely one in the Angel Centre, so we decided to try it. We were made to feel welcome and it was explained it was counter service. We had the Mozarella, tomato and pesto mayonnaise pannini with decaf tea, which was of good quality. I will certainly return to to try the other vegetarian selections. The style of the cafe is lovely too, with a music theme, up to and including the decor of the toilet!

Friends directed us to this cafe-cum-music shop, hidden behind The Angel on Bourne High Street. The two sides - cafe and shop - are entered by different doors, but unite further back. There's a good selection on the menu; we opted for paninis, which were made from really tasty bread. A future trip is required to sample the breakfasts (which are served til 11.30). Nice atmosphere and friendly staff, and it was quite busy on a wet Monday afternoon in March, which speaks volumes. AND there's a music shop attached :-)

Its not often you get to combine my two great loves, music and good food. Its quite exceptional to find this quality if food until you delve into the owners past. The quiche melts in your mouth and the ommlettes are incredible. The in house ( like homemade but better) coleslaw is light with a bite of dill and compliments most of the dishes served. The cakes will get you thrown out the slimmers world, and well worth the time spent in the gym.I left with my new didgeridoo, tenor ukelale, and and satisfied tummy. After seeing the great selection of Vegetarian dishes shown on the cafe's Facebook page I'd been keen to pop in for a savoury bite to eat when next in Bourne. It was a little disappointing to find only a more limited menu available - maybe there are more cooked options available when visiting in the evening? However the Ploughmans was advised to be Vegetarian so we gave that a try. Although the date and walnut bread was very nice with the fresh butter and cheddar cheese, I thought the accompaniments were a little sparse for the price asked (with the chutney more of a salsa and salad consisting of 1 lettuce leaf and 2 small slices of tomato). The coffee was really good so maybe a cuppa and slice of cake would've been more satisfying. Sorry for the average mark as I would have liked to have scored higher for the friendly service. Not quite as advertised.

What a lovely place! Tucked away, sharing its space with a music shop. Very nearly missed it, but extremely glad we didn't!

Lovely coffee, best cheese scones in the world. What's not to like? My only criticism would be that sometimes it's impossible to get in as the place is full, having only a few tables. Sure it wohn't be long until they have to expand.

My wife and I stopped at the wild heart cafe for a coffee and cake and we were not dissapointed. The cakes and scones for sale were very good and all homemade. The other food on the menu looked very appertizing and all seem very good value. Certainly seems like a great place for lunch or coffee and cake!

Visited this pub for the first time, was amazed that all the food was home cooked, cannot remember the last time I’ve been in a pub that didn’t microwave everything, I had steak and ale pie, was really nice, portions were also big, you won’t be hungry and the prices are great. I live guiness, hard to find a decent pint outside Ireland, this is hands down the best guiness I’ve had in this area!!

Just ordered a sauage abd mushroom baguette. Awful greasy mushrooms that tasted and smelt like old oil. Totally spoilt my baguette as the oil soaked into the bread. No butter at all too.

Very nice spot for a lunch in a busy market square in a lovely town - where we wanted somewhere independent and with a bit of character. Found a table outside which was a perfect holiday moment spot. Good choice of sandwiches, good coffee. Best part though was climbing the stairs to the top floor of the ancient building to find the loo.

Been here several times for breakfast and lunch Lovely food, friendly staff and good coffee Nicely done out inside too If I was to have one criticism it’s the tea… it’s weak and I think you should offer a more “robust” bag for those that like strong tea Apart from not everyone wanting posh tea bags this is now our “go to brunch place” for good , hot and yummy food I can always drink the coffee instead!!

This was always our go to place for brunch and we were regular visitors Last two times… Had quiche and salad - quiche bottom was soggy and inedible, informed waitress who said that she would tell the chef and that’s likely to happen with the type of filling… ok soo stuff happens On next visit had soup and it was tasteless, no one came to check how the meal was and not possible to stop someone as busy busy. Ate the bread and left the soup. Mentioned it wasn’t good and couldn’t eat it when we paid, just said “oh sorry about that” And carried on We paid in full but was more disappointed in the way our feedback was taken… eg dismissed. could def be improved upon… same waitress both times Sadly we haven’t been back
