Paid a fair whack for cod and chips and a burger (£19) and the cod was slimy and FULL OF BONES. In otherwords they are serving the cheapest Cod you can buy but charging premium rates. NEVER use to be like this the new owners are obviously not very well versed in what makes a shop successful. DEFINATELY WONT BE USING AGAIN. As for the so called owner calling me a liar well that speaks volumes. Shocking but fully expected. Don't make me laugh about buying premium cut I use several chip shops and they are all much better quality. Dreadful and poor attitude

As far as fish and chips go it's all cooked fresh taste great and the prices are fair for what you get 👌🏼

After looking for a great fish and chip shop for a while after many disappointing experiences around Ipswich, we by accident came across White House fish in Ulster Avenue and wow, the food and service are first class, friendly staff and awesome, well cooked, not greasy to ish and chips.

Always to much grease. Not the nicest, wouldn't go again. Nacton Road Chip Shop is the best

After reading other reviews I was happy to try out this takeaway. I placed a phone order,when I got there half of my was ready but had to wait for two pieces of fish,which was cooked fresh,so I accept the wait. It all tasted very nice,but I do like my chips a little crispier on the outside.

Good when its open but don't trust the opening times as they close down 30 minutes earlier and refuse to cook any more food once they've switched everything off.

It's hard to find a good old fashioned fish and chip shop nowadays but this is one of them. Really good cod and chips. Yes the fish is cooked to order but my God it's worth the wait. Best large cod in Ipswich with nice crunchy batter. I dont go anywhere else. Well done keep up the good work

Small hair in my chips! Chips were undercooked, nothing ready other then sausages without batter and very expensive! The service and food was awful. Definitely won’t be using again.

Decent little local chippy, always the same friendly staff, good sized portions and always tasty.

Excellent night out, friendly people, food and drink reasonably priced, great atmosphere and you just might come away on top if you back a winner!!

Recently visited this enviroment around 12pm, lady serving very friendly,lady frying never said a word..very disappointed to find when I got home ( which was a three minute walk) chips luke warm.Which means the chips were put to one side whilst waiting for my order. I ordered gravy and could not eat it as it was too spicy..Terrible service as my order was almost £15..I could have taken it back but my appitite had gone..I will not be using your fish shop again!!!!!!

I wouldn't say it's great. It is OK if you are Hungary and don't mind paying a bit over the top.

For me guys and I'm not just moaning it was very greasy bad experience all round to be fair...

Lovely chips. They discount the family meal deal in the school holidays which makes it excellent value. Wonderful staff and you can phone ahead with your order.
